I have known Mark Stuebe and had my hair cut by him since 2015! I am a happy, loyal customer. Over the years a friendship has formed. Mark is not your average barber. He listens to what you want, provides feedback, and is a unique barber because of his people skills, barber skills AND scissor skills. This means that you won't leave with a boxy haircut! Also everyone at Scotch Pine is welcoming and friendly! Non of that Seattle freeze/ snobbery! Give Mark and his crew a try.

Super satisfied with my haircut!! s/o to my barber Kojak, dude was amazing. He took the time to ask me what I wanted and got my hair to look exactly what I had in mind. I was offered refreshments as soon as I walked in, which was nice. The atmosphere was phenomenal and the staff was super chill and friendly. Great experience overall — highly recommended!

This is the best barber shop in Seattle. I've gone to many places and many people over the years and Mark is by far the best barber I've gone to in the city. Every time I ask to switch things up he knows exactly what I'm looking for and his training has made both his clipper and scissor work very impressive. He's obsessed with making things look great and doing things the right way, you are never rushed, and he always takes his time to make you look great. The space is clean and comfortable with a restroom and they always have great music going on in the background. I would recommend this barber shop to anyone and everyone.

I’ve gotten compliments a bunch of times at weddings and other events bc of the cut I get from Mark and it’s well deserved. Mark is excellent at his craft. He’s great with fades and blends em really well and is just as talented with scissor work. He pays such close attention to detail. It took me a while to find the right barber when I moved from NYC but when I found Mark and the Scotch Pine it felt like home. Really chill vibe and Mark and the staff have done an amazing job setting up their new shop. He takes his time with the cut and makes you feel very comfortable to offer feedback. He has a good team and they’re all really talented at what they do. Highly recommend them!

Went to the Scotch Pine for my first short cut after six years of long hair and it turned out super well! Yoshi was friendly and professional, listened to what I wanted and made suggestions based on the reference photos I brought. He did an excellent job on my hair, and my girl's been looking at me with googly eyes nonstop since the haircut 😍. The shop was clean, good conversation, good music and atmosphere. This location has reopened in Madison Park, and it has truly only gotten better. The quality of cuts is the best in Seattle (not even close), and leaves you feeling better than ever. These guys do not rush and take a full hour to perfect your cut all while jamming out to great music and entertaining conversation. The shop is clean, trendy, and chairs are high quality and comfortable. They even provide a hot steam towel after your cut. Hair cuts used to stress me out, specifically never knowing what I’m going to get. Ever since I’ve gone here, I always look forward to coming back. Best barbershop ever!

I've been going to Scotch Pine and specifically Mark for years. Everyone in the shop is great. More importantly, the attention to detail and quality is unmatched. I've had haircuts all over and this one is the best. I don't even live in the Seattle area anymore and I book a haircut with Mark whenever I am in town, which usually involves 1-2 hours of travel just to get there. Highly recommend!

Best haircut ever! I've read articles rating Scotch Pine as the #1 male salon in Seattle. I can see why people praise this place. All barbers are top notch with the clippers and scissor work. You'll get professional work from any of them so don't worry about who to get a cut from. Mark is my guy though! They follow COVID protocols and keep the place sparkling clean.

You know the kind of cut where strangers stop you on the street to tell you how good it is? That’s the kind of cut you’ll get at The Scotch Pine. These guys care about their craft, and they take their time to make sure you look your best. This is not the kind of spot where they are rushing you in and out in 30 minute slots. This was a good shop under old management, and it’s a great shop with the new owners. Mark has been cutting my hair for years, and his work is exquisite. He’s also a really nice guy, as are the other barbers in the shop. If you want a good cut from nice people who treat you well, go to The Scotch Pine.

I strongly recommend getting your haircut here especially with Yoshi. He does an amazing job of asking how you want your haircut, giving his professional opinion, working with your idea and then explaining what he is going to do and why. He also does a great job answering any questions on styling your hair, how to do it, and why you need to use certain tools(hair dryer) when needed. If you have been going to sports clips or other chains the price difference does cause a pause for some but if you want consistent great haircuts, conversation, someone that knows what they are doing and can help you look better than before then the price is all worth it.

First time I've keep a regular barber since... well ever. I'll keep coming in as long as he keeps cutting. - (2019) First cut here today, also the most drastic cut in my adult life. Mark Stubbe did my hair, and I really like it. Going from long and shaggy to clipper short with a bit long... Is weird. Location is great, small, clean shop... And at the moment the cycle cafe next door has mulled wine for while you wait.

Went in for a beard trim with Jason, and I'm happy with the result. Not 3 hours after I walked out a stranger in a line complemented me on my beard. Additionally, I'm not much of a talker and usually hate making small talk while I get a cut, but Jason just got to it efficiently and got me out quickly. If you do like to chat, the atmosphere of the shop was very casual, the barbers and customers were talking back and forth and telling jokes. Overall very good experience.

I have a very unique hair texture and a lot of places could never really work with it but they always get my hair perfectly faded. Hip spot for hair cuts, beard trims, and color. This spot is a bit pricey but you get quality service through and through. It's tucked inside the main building, you'll need to go through the hallway to find it. If you have the money and are looking for a quality stylist you've come a good spot
