I brought my son in for a cut. He has 2 cow licks, straight puffy hair and the top lays flat in certain areas. Chris did a great job working around these things. He was also quick despite my son only being 80% cooperative. My son said “he actually did a good job” so we’ll be returning.

This place is my go-to. All the barbers here are awesome. I have had my hair & beard cut by Q, Miriam, Todd and Xander. Precision cut every time. It makes it nice because, if your preferred barber is booked up, you can still count on getting great service from one of their other barbers. Usually, I just select the most convenient time for my schedule and I know whoever I am assigned to will do a great job. Highly recommended if you're in the Gilbert area.

Q did an AMAZING job with me. He took literally more than 40 minutes just to style my hair. He definitely went above and beyond. All I asked for was a style but he did so much cutting and shaped up my beard just to give me to perfect look which I was looking for. In addition, the manager DJ was very understanding and reasonable. He handled everything really well.

had an appointment for 2:40 for hot towel shave and trim, I was greeted warmly but had to wait till 3pm before got my cut. Facility was nice but tension in the air. Dont think the gal I set my appointment with communicated to the guy what I wanted cause I didn't get the shave. He also missed the main cleanup i wanted. Not bad guy but I should have left after waiting for 15 mins

I like this place. I’ve been here twice and both times they did well. Reasonable price and full barber experience. Usually takes less than 30 minutes. They have a lot of staff and are very organized with appointments. I love that you can book online, the software they use is easy and has real time appointments day of. They give you a dollar discount if you pay cash. Both barbers did a good job on my hair and were friendly. Was recommended by a friend and would certainly recommend others here.

Surprised my husband with a haircut and beard trim. chose this barber shop because of the great reviews, and they did not disappoint. Mark cut my husband's hair and trimmed up his beard. my husband was really happy with how it turned out. Mark took his time, didn't just use clippers to shorten up the sides but actually scissor cut it. the top blends in to the sides so nicely. my husband said he really enjoyed the neck shave. Finally found a barber my husband enjoyed and trusts with his beard. He'll definitely be back!

I have been coming to Executive Mens Grooming for several years now. I love how you can book an appointment on their website for a specific time and when you arrive you don’t have to wait. I have had many different barbers at EMG over the past few years as I always just booked the appointment time I wanted and got whoever was available. I have always had a great experience here at the Gilbert location. But, the past few times I booked I randomly got Dora Guillien - so this morning when I booked my appointment I chose her specifically as she always does a fantastic job and always seems to run on time. I will be back again next month.

Been going to EMG for a while now, been to quite a few of the barbers all of which are very talented and friendly. I sat with Q today for a haircut and beard trim and the service skills and perfection was over the top, he’s providing more than just a haircut it is a full on experiences getting taking care of by Q. He was absolutely meticulous about every single hair being trimmed perfect. My nose hairs were a bit out of control and Q stuck some wax popsicle sticks up there and let me breath again. It’s a rarity now days to find awesome talent and passion and Q is one of those rare unicorns in the barber world. Thank you Q and EMG for always being top notch.

This place is awesome, got my hair don't a couple weeks ago and man you want a great cut this is the place. First thing walk in the door and boom a kind greeting an estimated time till when I'll be in the chair lil side conversation offer a water everything. Like they actually care about who's sitting there! In the chair DJ was on point quick witted knew what way go with my hair even though I have never been there, dad jokes as corny as they can be great time from in to out. I just went here for my first time the other day. Chad was my barber. He cut my hair real freakin nice. I have lots of cowlicks on my head, but Chad busted right through them like a boss and gave me the cleanest cut I’ve had in years. The place was clean and the barber chairs are cool and comfortable. I told her I knew nothing and that she was the artist and I just wanted something fresh and clean and my hair was very long and thinning out. He took his time which is hard to come by now so I knew he I was getting a good cut. He also took some time to teach me how to better care for my beard. Q gave my dad a haircut right before my wedding. My dad has bad psoriasis on his head and makes cutting his hair quite difficult. My father does care about how he looks. I was very nervous that he would get a haircut that would make him feel self conscious during my wedding. Q made my father feel comfortable and gave him the best haircut he has had in years. I was so Impressed by both his skills as a barber and his ability to make the experience enjoyable for my father. Two days ago I booked an appointment to get my head shave and my beard trimmed. I made sure to request Q. I could not have made a better decision. I had a great time talking with him. My beard looks amazing. It’s way shorter than normal for me. My man Q knew what he was doing and made it look amazing! If you want to work with someone who is gonna take their time to get it right, while treating you like a friend, Q is your man. If you're a man in need of a haircut and shave without wasting a day, but you still want results. This is your place. The staff and leadership really care. Old school barbers in a new school setting. You can even joke with the staff and customers while catching part of a movie. I drive 53 minutes out of my way to go here. It's worth every minute.

All I can say is incredible! This past Saturday 10/24, I had my first experience at a barber shop and I was blown away. This was easily the best haircut I have ever received and I will certainly be back again. Ian M. took excellent care of me from start to finish. He is a true artist in every sense of the word. As a middle-ish manager in customer service I'd say one of the hardest things to train people on is how to earn the customer's business rather than just do your job because it's your job. DJ and Tony go out of their way to do just that - earn your business. Their haircuts are absolutely stellar and the experience they provide is memorable enough for me to have been a customer here for over four years. I refuse to go anywhere else for a haircut because they have built a relationship with me. They're genuinely good people and every time I've been in they go above and beyond. Props to the Starks brothers for running a straight up, old fashioned good business and not just cutting hair. 👍🏻

I've been here about half a dozen times. I usually go to the same guy. He generally does a decent, or at the very least, an acceptable job. Perhaps because of the familiarity he might not care as much . My last last experience was very disappointing. I wanted something unique but what I got was a generic cut. I could have gone to great clips and paid half the price for that. On a positive note the owner seems friendly and always greets me when I walk through the door. Maybe I'll make an appointment with him next time....who knows. Update 9/4 The owner and management reached out to make this right. This is a stand up move that says they care about the customer and quality. If only every business had this philosophy. Much appreciated.

So my dad, who is 80, just got out of the hospital and was a total mess. His hair was matted, his mustache had grown over his mouth, and his beard basically just blended with his chest hair. I took him to Great Clips and they referred me to Executive Men's Grooming because apparently a Barber can trim a beard but a hair salon cannot because of COVID. I'd never been to a Barber Shop before so I decided to just walk in and see what would happen. I cannot say enough about how great our experience was at this business. My dad was invited to sit down right away in Chad's chair. Chad proceeded to transform my father from a cave man to a dapper looking gentleman. He clipped his hair and shaped the cowlicks, he trimmed his mustache, beard, and nose hair, but more than anything, he really took his time with my Dad. I'm sending my husband and my father-in-law there today to get a cut and a shave. As a woman, I thought only women could enjoy being pampered. But guys deserve it too. Make your men go to this place. They will absolutely love it.

05/2018: I stopped coming here and now drive to Phoenix for my haircuts, which stinks since EMG is just down the street from me. Oh well. The drive is worth it for the quality haircut I've been receiving. 06/2017: Been back numerous times and have received good/decent haircuts from various guys, though it's hit-or-miss if they'll take the time to use a straight blade and hot shaving cream to clean up the sideburns and back. Joe is still the best and always does a fantastic job--he's just always crazy busy and booked--so he's who I'm going to from now on. 11/2016: Got an excellent cut from Joe after Tony (owner) reached out and offered to make right on what happened last time I was there. Tony and Joe were very cool and apologetic, refunded my last cut, and did this cut for free. It's clear they value me as a customer and that they care about the shop's reputation. The guy who cut me is no longer there so it's just the professionals now and they know what they're doing. 10/2016: Received a good haircut but got cut pretty deeply on my neck with the straight blade. The barber said he didn't notice he'd nicked me until it wouldn't stop bleeding. I thought nothing of it until my wife saw it at home and took pictures for me. The cut is easily an inch long! Accidents happen but...

They don’t have any car chairs or anything like that but I see Mark and he gets the job done quick! I’ve been going to Executive Men’s Grooming for over a year for beard trims and haircuts. I was bummed when they had to shut down due to COVID and couldn’t wait till they reopened. I’ve been there twice since they reopened and it’s been a great experience. All the barbers are wearing a mask along with the limited amount of folks allowed to sit in the waiting area. They are practicing social distancing and have even put up tall partitions between each chair. Safe, clean, friendly, and awesome service and cuts!

DJ and Tony are the reason I gave 5 stars. My experience did not start out well as the stylist arrived to work over 20 minutes late. DJ and Tony apologized time after time for the tardiness and made time for me in DJ's chair. I'm a little torn with this review, but annoyed enough to speak out. I'm sporting an undercut, trying to grow out the top. I felt I was pretty clear that I wanted the top at the same level as the front which hadn't grown as long. What I got was a Chris Hemsworth Extraction haircut. The front was left alone, but the rest completely removed--more than 3 inches! On the plus side he paid attention to detail and the haircut still looks good, I just wish he did what I asked.

I moved to AZ 18 months ago, so it was like starting over for everything, from hair stylist, car mechanic to finding a good doctor. I wanted to find someone close to where I lived and chose Executive Men’s Grooming. I made my first appointment with DJ and he nailed my style first time perfectly. My logic is, if you find someone that does a good job, keep going back. I moved 30 minutes south and 18 months later I still continue to see DJ at EMG. The shop setting is friendly, inviting and there is a good amount of friendly humor and banter between the stylists. I’m always greeted when I walk in by Joe and made to feel welcome. DJ is always happy to see me, as I’m his regular. I’m very particular and DJ is equally detail oriented as well. He takes the time to make sure the cut and details are perfect and he doesn’t rush it. Cuts are consistently great, meaning he knows his customers. I always enjoy making my appointments at EMG, not just for the cuts but the great experience. I will continue to go to EMG.

I started going to Executive Men's Grooming a year and a half ago. Every 2-3 weeks I would go and have my hair cut and beard trimmed by DJ. The atmosphere is comfortable and the banter between the barbers is more entertaining that what is played on their big screen TV's. It was always a blast to talk to DJ and he cut my hair and shaped my beard. He was also always helpful in giving advice into certain looks, or what my hair and beard was capable of (not everyone can get the cut they see in a magazine). My only regret is that I know have to move to Colorado for a new job, thus having to scope out a new barber. Needless to say the new guy will have big shoes to fill. I'll miss this place. Keith

Went to EMG today for the first time, the place was clean and staff was friendly. It was nice being in a place where they take time to do your cut right instead of just trying to churn people in and out. They did a great job on the haircut, the only things I had a slight problem with is they knicked me with the straight blade on my upper lip. Small knick so not too big a deal, other thing is that when lining up my beard they took it lower than I asked, nothing I can do but wait and grow it back lol. It's a very clean haircut though. So 4 out of 5 for the small issues otherwise I'd give them a 5.

Do yourself a favor and visit Executive Mens Grooming and see how a REAL barber shop is supposed to opperate. Hands down the BEST place to get a cut, trim, or even change your look all together! The staff are extremely professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Drove 16 miles from Mesa to get a haircut, made the appointment a week in advance, and I get there and the person I was supposed to have cut it, Joe, was gone for some reason. No one called me to avoid this situation either. Finally, in fairness, they did try to fit me in, but when I explained I was used to a scissor haircut and not a clipper, I was told that that would take longer and they could not, after all, fit me in. 32 miles for nothing. ***UPDATE***The owner reached out to me and apologized for what happened and offered a free haircut to make up for my experience. For that reason alone, I have raised the review to a four out of five. Just try and find any business that would personally call you to make things right.

Weather you live in Chandler, Gilbert, or your like me and drive a hour you need to get your hair cut here. Why you ask? Well, compared to any shop I've ever been to in all my life I have never had such an experience that EMG offers its customers. An experience that stems from the staff's dedication to serve the professional knowledge sets EMG above all competition. It is highly recommended to schedule a visit although, I have waited for 15 min as a walk in and received a hair cut I would have waited 45 min for I do recommended scheduling. Its understandable for EMG to be as busy as they are. Once you get your hair cut by them than you won't only understand but you will experience why EMG is so busy.
