I have been in the Phoenix area for 3 weeks and was told about Ace of Fades almost IMMEDIATELY. The moment I stepped in the building I KNEW it was home! It’s a friendly wholesome spot for all ethnicities and plenty of barbers for you to choose from. The vibes alone are good enough for you to just chill. I GUARANTEE they will lace you up with efficiency! CHECK IT OUT AND YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Came into the barber shop on late notice and was able to get my sons hair done for his bday.. The shop always has a good vibe in it and the people who work there are always welcoming to customers. Always a good time here.. I would recommend this shop to anyone who needs a good cut with good service.

Micky got me sliced up. He did a solid job. This location is prime because it’s right next to PCH (Phoenix Children’s Hospital). They do a great job of getting you in and out quickly while still having you leave fresh. Kevin is the owner and he’s running a good shop. He was meticulous with greeting every person that entered the store and explained the process of how to get squared away with a cut. You can tell Kevin is Locked in with his craft. I will be referring any hair cut requests to this shop and also informing my contacts that I’ve found a shop that knows what they are doing with people of colors hair.

We’ve been going to Ace of Fades for a few years now. I bring my son in to get a fade and I get a cut sometimes and other times, just some beard work. No matter what the case, Naimah works it out. She’s amazing! The entire shop has a great family atmosphere, and everyone in there is warm and treats you like family, but Naimah is special. She makes you feel like you belong and she does amazing work. I highly recommend Ace of Fades and Naimah especially.

If you’re looking for a barbershop to call home, this is the spot! They offer top quality fades and excellent customer service. I came into the shop as a new timer but was treated as if I’ve been coming in for years. They make it easy to feel like you’re a part of their community and family. ⭐Nice staff, great service, Jackie gives 5 star cuts, First time, not the last. 5 star service & Cut "recommend"⭐ First time here, just came for an edge up, and Shape up. I was told the wait would be about 45 minutes without appointment and needed to sign in by the door. I was seen in about 25 - 30 minutes so pretty quick for a walk in. The staff was friendly, and I was greeted, and told to sign in as I entered politely. Many talented and skilled barbers here, I feel like any of them would be safe bets. With many different barbers clients get rotated pretty fast, yet keep in mind some have appointments so don't get upset if someone jumps in the chair, just speak up. I got Jackie as my Barber, and she went above and beyond with my cut. She was willing to converse, but not pushy. About her business, and really put me together. Would definitely recommend, check em out.

Had another great experience with my barber Anthony, I called and made my appointment for my son who is five and myself. Anthony is awesome as soon as we walked in it was our appointment time and he was ready to take us. I wear my hair natural so appreciate how he my hair careful to not give me too many squared off edges to keep it feminine for me. All the barbers do well but I love going in to see Anthony.

I found Ace of Fades after I cut my locs. I went to a couple other barber shops that didn’t cut my hair very well and they had me embarrassed to go out without a hat. Now I get my haircut here all the time and I refuse to go anywhere else. The barbers at AoF are experienced and I have never had a bad haircut. I usually go to Daniel, Jackie, or Wolve but honestly everybody here does a great job and the owner Kevin is extremely cool and friendly. I highly recommend.

Great Experience!!!! Clean Place and Professional atmosphere!!! Ace of Fades is not just a “Black Barbershop”, there were all types of people in there and there were a variety of guys and gals cutting hair and not all the Barbers were black! My Barber whom cut my hair was Chris whom was white young man from Miami!!! I am not going to lie, I was scared or scurred!!! I did not know what kind of skills he had!! Chris was on point, and did an excellent job!!! I went in there looking like Don King and came out looking like Michael B Jordan!! I liked this place because the men and women were friendly, they accepted credit cards, and they operated like a true business!!!! This place was All Aces!!!!

My first experience at this location of Ace of Fades and it was awesome! I took my 14 year old son and the environment was great and was a comfort zone for my son immediately! Cool Barber shop but can anyone cut widow's peak, it's becoming hard to find a Barber that can do every hairstyle, you know that everyone doesn't have the same hairline and I had to go to Oakland California to get a Barber that can do everything instead of the uniform hairline with uniform fade😪.in Barber college was widow's peak even cut or did they go over it.. or did the head Barber say cut it off, ........... next chapter ...... which is why the Barber Tyler just says cut it off, we didn't go over that chapter 😪😪 but if i want a uniform fade like everybody that just got off the boat, Ace is where I'll be 👍🏾

Great place for a great fade. I little inconsistent depending on the barber you get but for the most part you can’t go wrong with any barber they have there. Sometimes their sign in sheet can get messy and I’ve been skipped so make sure to pay attention.

Been bringing my nephew and son here for 4 years. They are happy with every cut they get. Kevin cuts my son's hair now but each barber is professional and does a good job. The environment is culturally diverse and kid-friendly. Great background music and usually sports on tv. Never any inappropriate conversations, tv or music playing. Forgot to write this review but this place is off the hook, best barber shop in town. Was my first experience here and was not disappointed, was greeted and didn’t have to wait long. I’ve noticed many barber shops are the best barber and everyone wants to wait for that person, not here everyone is great, I forgot the name of the barber but he’s from Columbia with glasses. I had a head full of hair and walked out looking different. Everyone there is nice, the place is nice. I drive 5 hours every week for my daughter appointment at Phoenix children’s hospital and don’t mind at all stopping by here to get my fresh cut because where I come from we got no barber shop. So I’m hoping a barber like this could come to the Navajo Nation. Was satisfied with my experience here for the first time. 👍🏽👍🏽

I walked into Ace of Fades, greeted with a smile and a “how may I help you?” from Naimah! Let me tell you, she takes her time, she very precise and professional! I’m a very picky person when it comes to barbers, so for me to leave a positive comments says millions. I enjoy her conversations and how she listens to you in what you want. Of course the cut was top notch along with with hairline! So far, this is the best place to get your hair done in Phoenix as far as I’m concern. Coming back for sure! I’m a man who likes a close fade and a sharp line up. The past few years I’ve started balding and it was hard for some barbers to give me an even line or blend the fade to where it didn’t show the bald spot. Naimah took the time to find out how I wanted my hair cut and told me multiple ways to help stop the balding. After my first cut by her I was very satisfied and even had coworkers, family, and friends where I got my haircut at because whoever cut my hair did a great job. She’s been my go to barber ever since. She is very professional, understanding, and goes out of her way to make my cut is sufficient and eye catching. Clean barbershop. Easy walk in process. Barber Aaron did a great job cutting my hair. An issue I have with barbers is they push my hair line back in attempts to straighten my hairline. This was not an issue today. I initially did not want him to give me a “line up” but he did it exactly as I liked. The barbershop has a good atmosphere. I’ll be going back.

There’s only one name you should ask for and remember: NAIMAH. When I moved here, I was on a hunt for an excellent barber. Seeing that I’m from Atlanta, where some of the best barbers in the country reside, I wasn’t sure if Phoenix could hold a candle to Atlanta. So, I googled best barbershops near me and Ace of Fades was one of the choices. I took a chance and went there. Lo and behold, a female barber. Lol... When I say that she should be in cities like Miami, Atlanta or L.A., I mean it! She’s a boss at any style you want. If you are new to Phoenix from major cities like Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, etc. and you are used to getting a good cut, look no further than Ace of Fades. Specifically, ask for NAIMAH... You will not be disappointed and you will thank me! Also, if you are a native of Phoenix and you don’t know about her, you are definitely missing out on one of the absolute best barbers in Phoenix!

So we took my grandson he is 18 months. I did not know what to expect. The facility was clean and very well kept. There is a different barber there to cater to everyone i.e Black, White , Native, Hispanic you name it. They had a waiting area with seats for everyone a vending machine, flat screens, and not a long wait or any disrespect towards woman with a bunch of inappropriate conversation. I would take my grandson back any time. You can book an appointment or walk in. We paid 15 dollars. I want to thank them for the patience with my grandson. Great job guys. We will be back for many many years to come.

To put it simply, the barbers at Ace of Fades make the shop live up to its name. It's my go-to barbershop whenever I need to get a fresh cut because they make me look good! What I appreciate most of all is how dedicated and passionate they are about their craft. Each cut, whether it be with clippers, scissors or a straight razor, is meticulous. I highly recommend Ace of Fades if you want a great haircut. Just note that they do get busy toward the end of the week, so calling in advance and setting up an appointment is something I also recommend. Earlier today, when I called and set up an appointment, the barber I was on the phone with asked me who I wanted to cut my hair. I said it didn't matter who because I knew any of the barbers there would give me a fresh cut!

When I walked in to this barber shop it reminded me of the movie Barbershop with Ice Cube. Literally every barber there was giving people badass haircuts. Not just good haircuts but exactly what they were asking for. To put it into perspective I saw people walking in looking like scrubs and walking out looking like they were going to a just for men photoshoot! My son asked for what I thought would be near impossible (spiderweb in the side of his head). The girl that did it boldly said she could do it. I was pleasantly surprised when she came through and made my son really psyched to have a "spiderman hair cut". I will definitely be back to this shop dispite the distance from my house in Cave Creek. The people were kind and they even had simply drinks, snacks and even toys to keep my son occupied during the wait which was not very long. These guys are definitely professional and they appear to all have been thought by someone who not only knows what they are doing but knows how to teach.
