I got The beard grooming experience for my husband for his birthday and he loved it. The facial steam and warm towel is so relaxing he got a massage and they even offer a shot of liquor as well. He was very happy. They have a comfortable seating area while you wait too.

I set up a group event for my groomsmen on the morning of my wedding. The services included hair cuts, mini facials, and straight razor shaves or beard trims for the guys with beards. Also included was a ride to and from the salon/hotel for everyone, light fare they picked up from DiBruno Brothers, and champagne. Put simply everything was fantastic. Jonathan and Hassan are running a terrific operation, the whole staff was wonderful, and it was the perfect way to start a long day feeling fresh and ready to go. Oh and a complimentary git box on top of everything else, really, I cannot recommend this enough. Treat yourself or your groomsmen, you won't regret it!

Went for the first time today had Jasmin for a cut and facial! She was literally amazing. As we all know its hard to find someone you can trust to give you that good confident look after a haircut. She went above and beyond my expectations with the cut and the shop itself is very cool. High class vibes with cool music and atmosphere. You get what you pay for, if you want a cheap haircut go to great clips, if you want to walk out feeling like 007 go to Ethos. 10/10 Could not speak higher about this place and my experience. An amazing haircut? Yes, of course. But maybe more to the point, Ethos is an experience. A curated symphony of sounds and scents in an architecturally inspired and relaxed environment. Even the details have details. Interesting and laid back conversation included a full education on MY OWN HAIR (decades after I probably should have known this stuff). Had the pleasure of getting a haircut from Sean and Anna, and ETHOS’ signature facial by Josiah. I can say, completely across the board, that everyone provides an exceptional level of service and care that you won’t find at many places. The best part? They’re all very chill and down to earth and will make you feel right at home. I go out of my way to stop at ETHOS every time I’m in Philadelphia because it’s a whole experience — right from when you walk in and are greeted until the time you leave. It’s wonderful being surrounded by so many people who love and care about what they do — you can feel it in the air and it’s palpable. They do a temperature check and have extremely clean and swanky facilities. Everyone is required to wash their hands, masks up, and sanitize. All of this is done upon entering the studio. If you’re a resident of Philly and are looking to change up your barber/stylist, this is where you’ll find your new home. Well done, ETHOS GSFM team!

I recently moved in the area and found it by more or less convenience. That being said, if I were to even move out of the area I will go out of my way to continue receiving services here. I’ve done very few reviews over the years, but think this establishment is very deserving of one. Common perspective is that men look at a haircut as just a maintenance that needs to be done whether at a barber or salon, as I have until coming here. Ethos separates itself on more facets than one can explain - from its friendly staff, perfect environment and, most importantly, professional & precise cuts. I’ve gone there twice and plan to multiply that by at least 10. This was perhaps the biggest gem I found after moving to center city. Thanks for the great service.

I had a great experience getting a haircut from Josiah; He was personable with attention to detail for my haircut, for which I was delighted. I will say the shop is very male-oriented, but as a woman that didn’t shy me away from being in the space, I didn’t feel overwhelmed or uncomfortable every man in the salon was very friendly, very courteous I highly recommend this place!!

This place makes you feel at home. Everyone is so welcoming and humble and down to earth. I love getting my haircuts from here now. Definitely love my Ana for always making me look nice after all my cuts. I let here be creative with all my cuts and the end results always looks amazing. You get everything you pay for and this is TOP quality. Purchased the "Beard and Grooming Experience" as a birthday present and could not be happier. Haircut was top quality, drinks served, shoulder massage after the cut and they pay great attention to both the client and the guests. My previous regular barber closed shop without warning back in 2016 leaving me high and dry. It took me almost two years and several barbers before I found ETHOS at it's 1818 Market location. Every cut has been on point and I haven't needed to go to another barber since. You leave the shop after every visit feeling fresh and ready to destroy the rest of the day.

The Experience and Services are more than 5stars. Very professional atmosphere with a spa/ cigar lounge feel to it (without the cigars with great music selections) The beverage selection has a nice variety catering to your thirst. The cuts and facials are outstanding. Definitely next level and many steps away from the norm.

It has taken me close to 1 year to find the right barber in Philadelphia. This place is amazing, their attention to detail is fantastic! I’m almost overwhelmed as to what to say at the risk of sounding not genuine, but you definitely can’t go wrong here. Maybe one thing, in my opinion they should be charging closer to 50 or 60 bucks a cut based on overall service.

Look, man... stop. Stop looking through the reviews as to whether you should treat yourself to the services that Ethos provides. James Brown once said "I look good, I smell good, I feel good." You think that's a coincidence coming from the hardest working man in show business?? I think not! Do yourself a huge favor and stop on down to the shop and at least chat with the fine gentlemen. The quality and care of their art and craft is felt from the moment you walk through the entrance. From the face mask and steam thingy, to the amazing hair cut, to the overall experience, it's all top notch. I've been going to Sean for years now, and his work is probably more responsible for my success in life than anything else... IT'S THAT DEEP!
