The shop is cool and eclectic, from decorating ranging from skateboards to horror movie memorabilia to Golden Girls pics. Josh and his crew are top notch. They make you feel at home in a comfortable cool environment. Amazing people, amazing cuts at a fair price!

This place is great! I’ve been there twice and both times I’ve been completely impressed with both the cut and the atmosphere. Hair and beard came out better than anywhere I’ve ever been. The shop itself is like a snowboard museum! A classic quiver that is fun to look at. Brushie, a classic Lib Tech or two, and even a D23 Peter Line! Surprised there isn’t an old Terje Sword or Lamar Ranquet!

This is such a cool shop - it's clean, well-designed, and has a lot of personality. If you're in search of a good barbershop that can give you a killer haircut or beard trim for a reasonable price, this is the place. I started coming to Ascension after my favorite barber at Dennison Dahlman (Josh - the guy with the head tattoos) left the shop to start this one. I've never had a better haircut or beard trim than I get from him, and the girlfriend always loves the way I look afterward. The guy can line a beard up with a straight razor with his eyes covered (but don't worry, he won't). If Josh is booked up, not to worry, the other reviews glow over Shelby and Miguel as well. A note on navigation - this place can be a little challenging to find because Google Maps will tell you it's down by the VIP lounge (spoiler: it isn't) or in the alley behind the shop (also not there). Best way to find it is to look to your right while driving South on 90th just past Arbor Street and look for the giant tree out front. It's the corner space in the strip. Look for the white sign hanging in the window.

I received a haircut from Lauren and had a fun time chatting it up. Lauren is very good at making you feel comfortable and delivers great customer service. I never experienced an awkward moment during my haircut. Before cutting my hair she detailed exactly what she was going to do and even offered some advice on what would work better for my specific hair type. She charged reasonably and even gave some aftercare tips. The haircut was decent, not the best I've ever had, but I was nevertheless satisfied with the service. Would come back here again.

I had long hair (chest length) for several years, and decided it was time to chop it all off. I was a bit nervous and hesitant, but after reading reviews for this shop, I made an appointment with Josh. I let him know I wanted something short and clean and he absolutely NAILED IT. I couldn't be happier with the results. The shop had an awesome environment and was extremely clean, Josh was very professional and made great conversation, and the haircut was absolutely top notch. I will be a repeat customer from here on out. 12/10 would reccomend.

I have had alright experiences here. Was looking for a new haircut place in Omaha that isn't a cookie cutter franchise. Good vibe in here,, neat stuff on the walls, I think skateboards or snowboards on the ceiling. I think more modern music playing throughout the store would help the experience. Overall a great place if you want something a little different.

My husband and my 2 sons both get their hair cut by Katie. Our boys are 6 and 10, she is so patient with them, allows them to feel like they are part of the decision making in their cuts, and values their opinions. She does a fantastic job and really takes pride in her work, as she should. My husband doesn’t do small talk so sitting in the barber’s chair isn’t the most comfortable place for him but Katie makes conversation so easy that even he chats with her. The shop itself is clean, well kept, the staff was all friendly, and it’s super easy to make an appointment. We won’t go anywhere else.

First rate shop with friendly and highly skilled barbers. Comfortable and cool atmosphere. Had Josh cut my hair, being familiar with his work at a different location. Always delivers consistent high quality results at a reasonable price. I'm not saying it's cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for including a hot lather straight razor clean up and a quick neck and shoulder machine massage. Noice!
