This was my first time going to V's after living in / around Hoboken for a number of years. I scheduled the Haircut & Deluxe Beard Trim with Fatima, and she was absolutely incredible! She listened to the ideas I had in mind and understood all of my concerns. My hair/beard turned out way better than anticipated, and the unexpected straight shave to clean up my beard (coupled with hot/cold towels) was amazing. I'll definitely be going back!

He greeted me in a friendly manner upon my arrival, immediately sat me in the chair and was very accommodating to how I wanted my hair cut. He was also personable and made it an enjoyable experience. I have been a customer for over three years. The staff is friendly and they are all pros. I always get a great cut, and they pay attention to the details (edges, eyebrows, neck, etc). The hot towel and quick shoulder massage is a nice finish.

Nice place, although more expensive than my old barbershop. They take appointments via their website which is very convenient, although day of appointments are rarely available. You can walk in but it could be a long wait. Went recently with an appointment and still had a half hour delay. As for the actual haircut, I've been here a few times and have been happy so far, each with different people. If you want a solid place, this is a good spot.

My husband and my nine-year old have both been going to Rich for years. While there are MANY things a kid can gripe about as pertains to the lockdown, most certainly my haircuts were paramount - he would BEG for Rich to cut his hair and pray for the day I’d retire from my short lived career as a barber. No one beats Rich and nowhere is better than V’s! Clean, professional, classy.

They always do something extra like a shave or a hot towel after your cut. Great service. Come here regularly even during Covid. Usually you and one other patron at most spaced on each end of the shop so keeping everyone safe.

Great & friendly staff, they know what they're doing and go the extra mile to satisfy customers. Atmosphere is old school (in a good way) and prices are acceptable. Avoid rush hour or you could be waiting for a long time.

A nice place , good price. My hair stylist moved there so it was no brainer for me, but after visiting the place I would definitely recommend. It's conveniently (for me) located in Hoboken uptown. The charge $28 for man's haircut which includes a hot towel and a shoulder massage (a small one but still nice). So I would say it's very reasonably priced for Hoboken and also have a nice online scheduling tool with reminders and you can select you favorite barber.

Been coming here for 3yrs. Rich is the absolute man! But they have several other stylists who do good work too. Went here for my haircut before I proposed and will probably do the same before my wedding even tho it'll be out of my way to do so.

Super clean, friendly staff that listens to your style request and free maintenance between cuts (FREE cleanup and shoe shine). Pricier then your normal barbershop, but worth the buck. Not to forget the massage you get at the end of each haircut. Finally a place that pampers men, i thought no one cared anymore :)

This review for the shop might be unfair. Have gone 2 other times and gotten nice haircuts. I get a fade/blend into hair on top. Its tough getting a good cut for me overall. Anyways o go in today and the guy I had last time isn't there. I decided to go with the white guy who has the first chair (no idea name sorry). He wasnt horrendous but have zero effort. My cut took 7 mins tops. The fade was lazy and he only used one buzzer and into scissors. He was a douche, clearly took no pride in his work. Will go back and overpend on the 28 dollar hair cut bc it's close. Advice is avoid the dark haired white guy in the first chair. Not professional.

looking for my first haircut in Hoboken as a new resident, I stopped at Roosters, when it was EMPTY.... There are 8 or 10 seats in there and there was 1 person getting their haircut. Long story short they said they were to busy for me at 6:30pm when it was completely empty and a barber was sitting in her chair on her phone and another was watching tv, while the last guy was cutting hair. I kept walking and found this place. Fatima was on the phone but hung up immediately to help me. She gave me a haircut, shave, and massage for less than half the price roosters would have charged. Definitely coming back and never going to Roosters again. Fatima gave a great haircut, especially with my very minimal instruction.
