Honestly this barber shop did a really good job on cutting my hair last time I went there had a nice clean fade and my hair was shorten at the right amount of height yes it’s a little difficult tryna explain how I want my haircut in Spanish but they still do a splendid job

Today was my first day trying this barber shop, and it was a great experience. Very professional haircut, and I loved the warm shaving cream and fresh razors. Reminded me of the barber shops from my childhood; the way barber shops should be. My haircut came out great, and I started getting compliments on my haircut in less than five minutes from people. I will definitely be going back to this barber shop, and I highly recommend you try them. Prices are very reasonable, and the barbers are very friendly. So glad that I found this store. Simply a great experience.

Highly recommended! Today was my first time visiting the Ferry Barber Shop after my regular barber had retired. The appointment was easily made via their online portal and when I arrived, they were on-time getting me in the chair and I found the place very clean and there was just an awesome vibe. My appointment was with Joe, who turned out to be a great guy as we discussed growing up in Newark and about our families and friends. When time came for the haircut, I could not be any more pleased. He cut and styled my hair exactly as I wanted. I am a customer for life...Thanks Joe

Very professional barber shop, sharp clippers and scissors, fresh blades& no cuts. Hot foam & fresh razor for the edge cuts and back of the neck. Reasonable prices and fast. Lots of barbers (5) with no wait. This is a great shop I would highly recommend and go back as a regular. Left a big tip since they do their job so well.

If you are looking for a barbershop in the ironbound area, don’t look further ! And if he’s not available you can also decide to go with his other staff which are all really good !

Ferry barbershop has been my place of choice to get a haircut & shave for many years. When my preferred barber, Joe, isn’t available, any one of the other barbers do a great job as well and there’s never a longer wait than about 30 minutes.. I couldn’t recommend this place more!

I walked away with a great haircut and a fantastically trimmed beard. The prices are very reasonable also! I highly recommend this barber for great haircuts and beard trimming!

So glad I found this local barber shop since I work in the area and have a busy life outside of the normal work day. They are open bright and early and Joe the owner is more than a great barber, he is a great guy. I am confident you will enjoy your experience as much as I do each time I come for a cut. In 33 years I've never had someone use an aluminum comb while straight edging, today Joe explained why it's done and why being taught by his Father many years ago still pays off. Stop reading this review and go pay them a visit, you will be happy you did!

Women always say how good looking I am after a haircut. That didn’t start happening until I switched to Ferry Barber shop. They have always taken care of me. Until Covid id just walk in and every barber was great for a cut, a beard trim, or even a shave. It’s by appointment now. If you make one you won’t be disappointed. I will continue getting my hair cut only here.

Updating my review because Joe did an amazing job on my hair. I had a Job Interview and the first thing the boss had noticed was my hair! I've been going for about 9-10 years and not every time did i have a great cut but everyone has their bad days. If you ever do stop in, you definitely want to give one of their many talented barbers a try, as the owner hires only the best in Newark. Joe in my honest opinion is the best barber in that shop.

I am new to the area and searched for a barber shop in the area and came across a dozen or so. I called about half of them and I spoke with Joe who said to come on in for a cut. He was booked solid and about to take his lunch but instead he gave me one of the best cuts I ever got. I felt terrible and saw he was working his tail off but we had a great conversation and the whole experience was a ‘breath of fresh air’. Thank you again Joe for making me feel like I’ve been coming to you for the last 45 years and not a first time walk-in. It’s a ‘no brainer’ people. Save yourself the time. I did the work and read all the reviews and compared places. This is where you want to go. To avoid being ‘that guy’, like me and messing up another man’s lunch, simply go online and book time with Joe if you want him to cut your hair specifically.

Had to stop in for an emergency haircut before an unexpected trip to Europe and Daniel did an absolutely cracking job. Proper old-fashioned gentlemen’s barber shop using tried and tested techniques. A mere ten minutes from EWR by Uber and absolutely worth the trip. $20 for an undercut is an absolute bargain and if you can afford it, you should tip these guys a tenner for the quality work they do.

Great place to go for a haircut! Has a classic barber shop feel. Seems like some of barbers have specialties, so would suggest asking based on the cut you want. I don't get anything fancy so I go with whoever is open and haven't had a bad haircut. Been going for almost 10 years & appreciate all the cuts!

Went here and loved it they did the haircut right I usually get a buzz cut anyway but it was fast and done well which is what I look for a barber shop. The price for men's haircut is about $15 currently
