This was my first time visiting Scouts and the experience was great! I was able to quickly book an appointment online with prices clearly listed. Jacquelyn cut my hair and did a great job! She was very knowledgeable with the type of cut I had and pointed out several things I hadn’t known about hair cutting styles. She held a great conversation and wasted no time. I highly recommend her and will be coming back here again!

I’ve gone to this Scouts location as well as the Germantown location going on four years now. I love the atmosphere and the stylists. Amelia was mine today and she was incredible. Admittedly I didn’t give her much direction, but she ran with it and nailed it. She has an incredible personality as well. My normal stylist, Faith, at Germantown, is also amazing. Highly recommend scouts.

All around excellent experience! I'm not a local so when I randomly walked in off the street I had no idea what to expect. Immediately, I was smacked in the face (in a good way) with a cozy atmosphere and the classy decor of the shop. Ever been smacked in the face with something cozy? Well come on in to this fine barber shop and you'll know what I mean. It's delightful. Anyways, I was welcomed by the staff right away as well. The receptionist was very helpful in getting me an appointment as soon as possible. I believe it was Ashley who cut my hair, and she did an exquisite job on my fade. She was friendly and conversational, as well informative during the cut. I've had many haircuts in my 26 years on this round ball (yes it's spherical, go away flat earthers), but this was easily one of the best experiences and cuts I've gotten. 11/10 would recommend

Professionalism: 5/5 wonderfully smooth from the desk to the chair. Thankfully, I had already booked online, but was in-and-out without hang-ups. I’m ok with criticism, and Jacqueline gently told me what looked best. She was right! I told her what I wanted and she made it look better than I’d hoped. Friendliness: 5/5 Jacqueline improved my overall experience with Scout’s Barbershop as a brand. When you watch an artist that’s conversational engage with you it’s refreshing. I’ll be back to this location just for her from here on out.

Garrett is the greatest of ALL TIME❣️ Rarely, if ever, do I do something drastic to my hair. Recently, I’ve had the courage to do so because of Garrett. I’ve been getting my hair cut by him for almost 2 years now, and with the amount of trust and respect I have for his craft, I would throw a blindfold on before the appointment and tell him to do whatever he thinks is best. His abilities are incredible across the board - whether you need a fresh cut, some color correction, a drastic change, or recovery from a drastic change.... Garrett’s got it with a hands down. I almost forgot to mention what a genuinely good human he is too!! Always sparks up great conversation and makes the time fly. Such a bright, positive person. I would pay for a haircut just to sit & chat :-)

Don't be deceived by the word barbershop! They provide great services to women as well! The staff are very friendly and punctual. My appointment was scheduled for their opening time (9am), and my stylist was already there waiting for me! Garrett Hubbard did an amazing job coloring my hair. I have been a blonde for several years and was a little worried if I would like brunette or not. I love it! He even asked if it was okay to use products on my hair before applying any, which I really appreciated. Garrett didn't even need to use a hot iron to style my hair!

Scout’s is a great barbershop company with multiple locations. I’ve had my hair cut by 4 different employees and have never had a bad cut. My only complaint is that Scout’s does not allow for reservations, which makes it challenging to schedule haircuts and utilize the same barber each visit. However, they do allow you to calm ahead and get in line so that you’re not sitting for too long in wait. Overall they are a great company and I’ve only ever had good experiences.

So I hate to build anyone's expectations up too high but this was the best haircut I've ever had. I took the time to explain to Jackie how I used to have my hair cut and what I was thinking of and she kind of had some ideas on how to style it a little better. So being a guy and not really caring too much if she messed my hair I just told her to do whatever. After the cut I was quite pleased with how it looked but it wasn't till my wife complemented how well it was done that I realized how much better it was. Even the next day as my wife saw my hair cut from different angles and still complimented how good the cut was. I'm actually kind of bummed I don't live in Nashville because this would definitely become my new favorite spot for a haircut. If I had the choice and a magic wand my ideal Barbershop would have an ice cold beer, a stylist who knew what they were doing, it was affordable and gave a quick 60 second shoulder massage. Now Scout's didn't have that little shoulder massage but since they check all the other boxes it becomes one of my top barbershops I have ever been to. In the past I have gone to higher end salons looking for somebody who might cut my hair where I was actually impressed and I didn't mind paying even more for it. Usually I just came out feeling like I overpaid and didn't get anything special. The haircut I got was affordable, given some of the other local places charge, and really exceeded my expectations. Scouts offers a good haircut at a decent price. The stylists at each location have great skills and are always open to feedback. I have only ever had one stylist I didn’t care for, however I have not had a bad haircut yet from any location, but I like the Gulch spot best. That certainly can’t be said for many other barbershop chains in the area - I have a few horror stories ;) The only downsides to Scouts are the intermittent long wait times, and the difficulty scheduling. Even if you call ahead or check in online, be prepared to wait up to 30mins if they’re busy.

Stopped in to get a cut on 11/20/19 in the evening. Had a great experience. Receptionist was friendly and got me checked in quickly. Stylist was able to get to me in less than 5 minutes. She worked quickly but did not rush. She rotated the chair a good bit to check her work in the mirror. It struck me as being very detail oriented, and let's face it, I'd rather a stylist that takes that time to really look over her work and make sure it's right, and she did. She did the neck shave with a straight razor. A lot of people can do it, but it takes skill to do it gently and with finesse. Clearly, this shop keeps the razors sharp. I've had enough razor trims to know the difference, and that one was sharp. Got a great cut, checked out, and ready to walk out the door without taking a lot of my time. If I lived in Nashville, this would be my go-to barber shop. I will definitely be back if I'm in the area and need a trim. Highly recommended.

Nice barbershop! The inside is really cool and the wait was minimal without the need of an appointment. The haircut I got was pretty good, but not at the level of my regular barber. The skin fade was not as close as I like but I realize some customers are less demanding that others. Overall, the service is good and they indeed offer you a complimentary beer or coffe. However, some of the staff seemed very friendly with their customers but others were not even making an effort or welcoming at all. That is something that could be improved at this place. They also have a nice selection of products for sale at good prices so take a look if you can.

Great hair cut, waited foreverrrrrrr. Got my haircut there yesterday. This was the first time I had been to Scout's and I was deviating from my normal barber. I was a walk in, so I called and put my name on the list and the lady said it would be 30-45 minutes. Not a problem. I show up 45 minutes later, tell the lady I am here and she fixes me up with a beer. Very cool, never had that happen before. I sit down and wait for my haircut. Cool place and a cool vibe, but it almost seemed a little too laid back. My name finally got called after an hour sitting in the waiting area. After the barber/stylist would finish with a customer, they would clean up their station (all for that), then wander over to the front desk, check their phone, chit chat with the front desk lady, play with the dog for a while. I totally understand the need for a break, but when you have customers waiting and they can see you taking your time, it puts them in a awkward position and is a little off putting, especially after waiting for an hour. This is my only complaint about the place. Like I said, I got a great haircut and the lady really knew what she was doing. Just wish the turnaround time could be improved upon.

This past weekend was my first time to try out Scouts, and man, I'm really glad I did. This location has a chill vibe; between the woodsy-smelling candles burning and the rustic furniture, it was like stepping into a cabin hideout. They had coffee, water, and beer to drink while you were there and a nice waiting area. It was all really inviting. The haircut turned out awesome. I went in looking to switch up my hairstyle, and was lucky enough to get paired up with Barb. She mentioned that she floats around between the locations, but if you find yourself in her chair, consider yourself a lucky man/woman. We made decisions about the hair cut as we went along and it was a great process, felt like hanging out. Would recommend and I'll be going back myself

Great atmosphere and friendly, down-to-earth staff. I came as a walk-in on a Sunday afternoon, the receptionist said it would be a 45 min to 1 hourwait, but I only waited about 10 minutes. Anna was my stylist, she was enthusiastic, knowledgable, and helpful. She talked through exactly what I was looking for in my cut. This is not a assembly line in-and-out kind of barbershop, they do take time for each customer. I felt it was worth the price, even if higher than other haircuts.

I have been to Scout’s locations East, Franklin, and now the Gulch. Scout’s east was great but too far and the wrong times traffic killed. My cutter moved to Chicago, married and changed profession. Franklin was next. Was not comfortable there. You walked through another store, the barber chairs were the worst ever. Short and Decrepit. BUT I recently went to the Scout’s location in the Gulch and other than the horrendous limited free parking, once inside I must say I love the place. More comfortable seating, great friendly staff, welcoming spirit, and my cutter Tori gave me the best cut ever the first time. No excuses about my crowns. She actually listened to what I wanted and delivered. So I felt led to write this up and brag on her and the place. Bring some coins to have more parking opportunities and less frustrations.
