I setup a kid's haircut with Bethany earlier this week for my son, (picture day is this week for his kindergarten class), she was amazing with him! His hair cut looked amazing and was exactly what we were hoping to get. He's very particular about his hair for being so young and he asked if he could go back to see her for his next haircut. Also, we were running late that day so we called to let her know and she was very understanding. I wish I could've been able to give her a bigger tip she was so awesome. Thank you Bethany!

These folks are friendly and helpful staff as well but my only concern is that you need to practice what they call gentle touch honestly. I don't like my face being grabbed and my eyes getting pressed in by my barber, I'm been for real, I understand you guys have to hurry up to get to the next customer but still be gentle with all customers. My last visit was ok but I left the shop Lil unhappy all because my barber had two guys waiting so he had to cut my head in a hurry, twisting my head so hard without him telling me to lift my head up or down, grab a bottle of alcohol spraying it directly into my face without him asking if I needed some alcohols. Pay attention to your customers, not just the money. Hopefully, this message make a change. We are all one big family❤️

I've been going to this barbershop nearly 8 years. I am from Brooklyn, NY and assumed there wouldn't be any barbers in Fargo that could cut like back home. I was wrong. My cuts have always been on point and the atmosphere is always welcoming. You can't go wrong with any barber you choose. Make an appointment!

I always go for my cuts here from Loui. The price is a little higher but the quality of service is spectacular. Don't avoid this place just because it's a little pricier. You won't regret it. Also don't be cheap and tip your barber well.

Very polite and great service. I must say a haircut for my 9 year started at 35.00 just a normal haircut since i told the gentleman to cut my daughters hair in long layers it cost an additional 15.00. Which i wasnt aware about beforehand. So ask for price in detail of how you want your hair done. Other than that everything else was great. I went in as a walk-in but prefferably make an appointment before going so you wont have to wait. Salon is big and well maintained , cleaned. Over all my daughter was happy client with her new haircut.

I don't leave reviews on many businesses, but I felt it necessary to do so after my experience at Skill Cutz. First time customer, life time customer. Hands down one of the most professional barbershops I have ever walked into. Very welcoming from the front desk staff all the way to the floor cleaners. For a mens haircut, I have never had a barber take that much care in every cut, nor have I ever seen a barber have that much precision with every strand. It is definitely called "SKILL Cutz" for a reason. Joseph was my barber, but I didn't see anyone in the room that I wouldn't recommend going to. What a pleasure going into a business that wants to do business with you in todays world. Thanks guys for great experience.

I truly love how my hair came out. They definitely took a lot of time to do my hair. The lady who did my cornrows was fantastic and she even fixed my bangs that another barber shop messed up. I honestly would not let anybody do the designs in my hair but this barber shop. My husband even got his haircut and a straight razor. He was very pleased with his also and really enjoyed having a straight razor done for the very first time. The only reason why I gave a four-star is because we had an appointment for my husband but we ended up getting somebody else that we did not set up the appointment with. We will definitely be back.

I stopped by this place when I was in Fargo for a haircut and a beard trim. The stylist that I was first given. He didn't trim my beard straight or my hair straight and missed a giant patch when he was trimming my beard into a goatee. I was given to another stylist and tryed.to fix the bad line cuts in my hair but he was only able to do so much. When I got home I had to shave off the rest of my goatee because the line cuts were so bad. I'm really hoping the owners see this review as I would like a refund of my haircut. Spoke with owner of the messenger and he offered me a cold refund and the next time I was in Fargo a free haircut and beard trim.

I was expecting Jordan to freak out about clippers being so close to his head. Will did an amazing job. My son sat so well with him. I've been trying a multitude of the barbers in town, and Skill Cutz is by far, my favorite place to go get a cut. Everyone is incredibly friendly and they are excellent barbers. It can get a bit hectic (Can get very busy), so make sure you check in to the front desk! Enjoy your fresh cut!

He came around to each person. It blew mine i said something to Naomi , and she was like he always does that.. i was pleased with everything and I am hard to please. I wish them all well they are diverse and professional. So pleased with hair super cute.. i have missed people like them i need them to stay in fargo so please show them some love... we need more people in fargo who are doing black women hair and mean that... black women should be able to get their hair done anywhere but here in fargo we cant but this SKILL CUTz now is a place where we can feel welcome.. I've not been pleased with my recent cuts from a larger local chain and had been wanting to give Skill Cutz a try. I am incredibly glad I did. Their location is convenient and they have professional barbers at the ready. My barber was Cyrus who took great care and 45 minutes to tend to my preference of a #1 on the sides with hard part on the left side of my head and faded/blended right side with a nice trim off the top. It was a lively environment full of people having a great time being at the establishment crafting excellent haircuts and styles. These guys have always been on point. They have a family friendly environment, great conversation, great tools, and make you feel like part of the community. I've never had a bad experience here. My only advise is for everyone to book a reservation so that you don't have to wait long to get your hair sliced. These guys are really popular and busy every day so scheduling a chop is gonna help you avoid wait times. 5/5.

I have a $5 coupon which I can reuse, and I got my haircut by student barbers. The cuts are reviewed by the regular barbers who generally charge $20 before you get out of the chair and any adjustments are made by them. This probably improves the student barbers ability to cut hair. I've been there twice and enjoyed the cuts I got. And I would recommend this place to anyone who's comfortable with African Americans, as it seems to be the bulk of the clientele. The posters on the wall which show the cuts available are mostly for African-American haircuts. This doesn't mean that you can't get a decent cut as an old white guy, which I am. Anyhow, these two cuts have been Price Rite and very good haircuts for me. I don't know where you would get the coupon, but they are probably available upon request at skill Cutz.

Brought my 6 yr old son in for a haircut with Loui. I was amazed by his attention to detail, and how much time and care he took to perfect his request for a lightning bolt. Loui stopped and found a picture to run by the customer and his mom (even after telling him he’s the expert and had full authority 😂) I have no idea how he managed such a PERFECT cut while being so patient and gentle with a moving target. Above and beyond all expectations with a more than reasonable price. Would definitely recommend!

10/10 The name does not lie they are "Skill Cuts" for a reason I'm on a out of state trip from California and trust me no better place than here, polite,skilled,talented & most of all they know how to taper you up! If you are a local and are not going to this spot you really aren't a local!
