I've been going to this location for a few years now, and Ari has always done an amazing job with my hair. They do a great job remembering my "regular" cut and we always get into some great conversations! I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for a friendly and knowledgeable stylist. Gents is general is a great place for a haircut. The stylist teams are well versed in men's hairstyles and provide a great service. I always look forward to the shampoo, hot towel, and styling after my cuts. Although the cost is higher than some other places, it is well worth the cost. I've never got a more consistent cut anywhere else.

Ashley is AMAZING!!!! I have been going to her for a bit now. Each time I go I get the razor shave and a haircut. She always does a fantastic job with my hair, but the razor shave is the star. She carefully applies each step of the shave. By the time I leave, not only is my face shaved baby smooth, but my skin is flawless. The lotions and exfoliant make me feel like a new man. I cannot recommend Ashley and the razor shave enough.

I have been in and had several times with Ashley both during her initial training and as she moved on to cutting on her own. I have watched her interactions with others and her quality of cuts trims and shaves on myself and others. Ashley is alway smiling and great with customers and always strives to give you the service you ask for. Highly recommend for any queer person looking for a short haircut. I was a bit nervous going in as a woman, but they made me feel very welcome and Ari did an amazing job on my hair! This is the properly short, butch cut I could never convince a “lady’s” salon to do for me. I love it!

I've been getting a cut and beard trim with Kristin for a couple of months now and she's done a great job, started me off with a nice cleaned up style and has been tweaking it based on my feedback over the weeks. Yesterday I rode my motorcycle there and she washed my hair afterward without me even asking, which kept me from getting bits of hair in my helmet. I will definitely keep coming back!

Specifically asked for a clean up and just cut around the ears.... My stylist proceed to cut way too much hair off than what I wanted. The haircut was not what I wanted and does not look good. I’ve been going to Gents for years and I don’t know if I am going to go back after this last experience. And after all of this the hair cut was $39. However days later, the manager was so kind and refunded my haircut which I highly appreciated. Great customer service over at Gents.

Website was easy to use and accurate for scheduling appointments. Kristen did a great job at helping with what I thought I wanted and helping with some thin spots. The shop is at the same time the most professionally serious and the most hospitable place I have been since social distancing started. It was safe, and people were able to relax because they knew it was safe. Five stars means nothing was wrong at all, and it was a perfect experience. Will be back!

Gents is a great place to get a haircut and a shave (when there aren't COVID restrictions). They specialize in men's style and cuts and employ very skilled and knowledgeable staff. Patrick is one of the absolute best barbers there and I have been a regular customer of his since 2013. The only real negative is that they are on the expensive side, but I feel they are well worth the cost.

3 out of 4 times I had a good experience and got a good haircut and beard trim. They know what they are doing when it comes to facial hair. Unfortunately staff turnover seems to be very high. The stylist I had the first time did a great job but no longer works there. The stylist I had the second and third times did a great job but no longer works there. The stylist I had the fourth time was OK. I will roll the dice and visit again. Online scheduling app is easy to use and tells you what each stylist charges.

Getting my hair cut at Gent has always been an excellent experience. Beyond the service itself, which includes a hot towel, a wash with shampoo and conditioner, and a style, the reception staff has always been friendly and welcoming. Prior to Gent, I managed my hair by keeping it short or covering it up. Not anymore! The stylists take the time to cut my hair so it looks good. They also answer my questions, so I can make it look good later when they are not around to style it for me. If you expect more from your stylist than asking you what size guard they should use on the clippers when the buzz your head, you owe it to yourself to give Gent a try.

It's a good place for men's haircuts but the care behind a cut depends a lot on the person cutting. Elizabeth is great, but a few others not so much. Pretty easy to get appointments within a week. They don't push products as such, just suggest them and even then, don't make you feel like you have to buy from them.

Awesome barber shop. I have been getting my hair cut there by Jennie for the past year or so, and there is no place better! Jennie is professional, friendly, funny, and willing to engage in my friendly banter. Plus, she remembers me each time and recalls what we had talked about the time before. I think it's important to develop relationships with the people you interact with on a semi-regular basis, and Jennie has this same philosophy! I've been more than impressed every time I go into Gent. Plus, it's a clean, friendly environment, the prices are reasonable, and it's relatively easy to find an appointment -- and you can do so online!

I used to have a standby master barber I went to at the downtown location, who moved away, but the switch to another stylist did not reduce the quality. I’ve been going here for a few months and I have had many good experiences and one bad experience. I generally get my haircut from Jared. What I like about his haircuts is he actually takes his time and figures out what you want and recommends products he thinks you’d like and work with your hairstyle. There was a time where I couldn’t get an appointment booked with Jared and I switched it up and went with Sean... That was a big mistake. Sean rushed through my haircut and it took about 7 minutes, he was getting distracted by the tv while cutting my hair, did a horrible job and it was one of my worst haircuts to date. So if you’re planning on going here I would find a barber and stick with them and let them learn your hair and I would highly suggest Jared.

I grew out my hair for about 2 years before deciding to cut it short again. Wasn't 100% sure what I wanted but Jared did an awesome job with both the cut and explaining how to style it later on. I seriously recommend just letting him decide on the style with minimum input, you won't regret it.

Great customer service! I called and asked for a walk in appt and told the receptionist I had long hair (passed shoulder length) and if the person I would be seeing had experience with long men's hair. She did her due diligence and sought out the correct stylist for such a haircut, and got me a same day appt at 8pm. I showed up and was greeted immediately by Aaron Banks, a super nice and personable dude who somehow read my mind and totally surpassed my expectations! His attention to detail was impressive to say the least and I left feeling super confident in my new cut! Will definitely recommend checking this place out if you're looking for a great vibe and atmosphere to go along with solid experience with men's cuts.

I've been getting my hair cut at Gent for over two years and have (almost) always had an amazing experience. The one time I had a less than perfect cut, the staff was super apologetic and corrected it right away. I've had my hair cut by almost all of the barbers at the St. Paul location and I can highly recommend Chris and Mustache Jim, but Aaron is the one I always go back to. He definitely spends the extra time making sure the cut is absolutely perfect. The first time he cut my hair, I actually initially thought the amount of time spent on the sides was a little unnecessary, but afterwards the difference in quality is truly night and day. Prior to Gent, I'd always had my hair cut at random salons and never really stuck to one, but I'll keep going back to Aaron as long as he's there.

I've never been one to spend too much on a haircut, usually opting for the $20 cut at whatever place can fit me in. That said, I've always appreciated a place that puts the time in to do a shampoo and hot towel. I tried this place out and found a haircut quite reasonable considering the service. As the name suggest it's a place for guys, but they cater to you well providing a shampoo, hot towel, a beverage as you wait and even TVs if you're interested. Been going here for the past 4 months and likely wont stop. I'd recommend Beki on staff.
