I found Fades Of Gray about a yr ago, after looking online at a few different places. Fades had the best looking results, so I went with them and I'm glad we did. Let me tell you, Dre is our barber and he is beyond AMAZING. Dre's work is neat, clean, pristine, detailed and the precision is next level. God DEFINITELY favored Dre's hands. Dre is more than accommodating, he makes a way to get us in each time. We appreciate him SO much! Thought I found the Barber of my Dream since a good Barber in Minnesota is hard to find. My first appointment went great he razor lined around my hair sponged it and everything. I mean just took awesome good care of my hair but as they say first impressions can be deceiving I went in for a second appointment for one he forgot that we had an appointment so it seemed like throughout the second appointment he had an attitude the whole time because he was rushing me out the chair didn't sponge my hair didn't razor line he didn't even take the care that he took with my hair the very first time I think that was just so unprofessional because I hadn't did anything wrong I can't help it because you forgot you had an appointment with me you forgot unfortunately I won't be going back there and I'm going to learn how to cut my own hair or find me another barber that's going to maintain the same professionalism with my hair as they did on my very first appointment and his name is Dre he does cut hair good I'll give him that but I just didn't like that second encounter there so I wish them the best in their business but I won't be a part of that business anymore As the saying goes everything that glitters isn't Gold F.Y.I.

I’ve received the best haircut I’ve gotten in a while at Fades of Gray. Definitely a huge step in quality compared to getting my hair cut at a place like Great Clips. The barber Julian who cut my hair was very detailed. He took his time to make things clean and asked a lot of questions to make sure I was getting the cut I wanted. I wasn’t rushed out the door like other places I’ve been too. I also wanted to mention that I have thick Asian hair so I was afraid to go to a black barber shop to get my hair cut but the guys here definitely know what they’re doing. In the end I left the shop feeling the most confident I’ve ever felt in a long time. I would happily return again!

I’m not going to lie, Dre gave me the best haircut and beard trim I’ve ever gotten! As I write this I’m waiting for another appointment with Dre and looking forward to another great cut. I've been to a lot of barbers, a lot of good ones around Minneapolis but these guys here at Fades of Gray, hands down the best. I've got my hair cut a couple times by Tony, and let me tell you this guy is an ARTIST. He's extremely precise and a perfectionist and will make sure your hair looks perfect before letting you off your seat. The other barbers here are also really good and you can tell are passionate and skilled at what they do. If you're considering getting your hair cut anywhere in Minneapolis, there's no use to look anywhere else cos these guys are the best!

They were very professional and did a mini temperature screening for covid and they wore masks. The haircut was exactly what I wanted and was used to. I recently relocated from Chicago, so I've been looking for a great barbershop. This is the one. Dre gave me a full hour, paying super close attention to detail. His fade was super clean and his line up was super tight. I have very straight hair as an Asian, so I know sometimes it's a little tricky to cut my hair, but Dre delivered perfectly. Dre aside, the ambiance is humble and the barbers are kind. You'll definitely feel welcomed and at home here. I highly suggest you check out this place for a clean cut. I think every man can attest to the importance of having a quality barber and the lengths taken to find one. I can say without hesitation that Fades of Gray (IMHO) is one of the best, if not the best, barbershop in the city. My personal barber is Dre, but all the barbers are great, which is a rare find. I would have no qualms, if Dre wasn't available, sitting down in the other barbers (Tony & Julian) chairs knowing I'll receive a superb cut. The shop atmosphere (which is important) is relaxed, conversational and professional. If you're in Minneapolis do yourself (and your hair) a favor and make an appointment. You won't find a better shop or barbers.
