Each time I have gone to Groom I have enjoyed the following: amazing service, good conversations, a haircut that is noticeably better than other barbershop’s, and knowing that I will be walking out of the door feeling good! This establishment offers complimentary water, coffee and beer! Shoutout to Carly!!! An incredible stylist who delivers this full experience!!!

Groom will give you the best men's haircut you can find in Milwaukee. I have been getting my haircut at groom for about 8 years. As long as I am living within 100 miles of Groom, they will be the only place I get my haircut. I have a unique situation when it comes to hair, I have alopecia areata. It's not super aggressive, but can make cutting hair for your normal barber/barberette challenging. Not for Groom, and especially Carly. Carly crushes my hair cut every single time. No matter if I have three huge spots of bald on my head or none, the level of care is always top notch. I am sure there are other great barbers/barberettes in Milwaukee, but I am not testing my luck. I am a forever customer at Groom.

I've been going to the same barber for the last 30+ years but traveling in WI, I had to get my hair cut. You would think a buzz cut would be fairly easy but it takes skill and I have to say Mahala cut my hair possibly even better than my hometown stylist. (I'm not going to tell him, though.) I'm very pleased and definitely recommend giving her an opportunity to take care of your hair needs.

They have gave me the best haircut I have ever had recently. I love this location and the atmosphere here. The stylist I go to is amazing. She has a way about her that is magical. She makes me feel calm when normally I am at a 100 she sets me down to 5. This will be the only place I go to get my haircut and by this stylist. Always happy with my experience/haircut. Mariah continues to give me the best haircut I’ve ever had. I’ve tried other stylists at other places when she is unavailable and I always regret it when I do. I always go here to get the top of my head styled proper like! I am losing my hair, so I go here to give it a good good time. The stylists are at the top of the game! You can get a soda, a beer, a coffee, or a nice mixed drink while you wait. All in all one of the best places to chop your locks!

Let me take you on a little trip with this review of Groom for men. First and foremost I would like to say that I am not from Milwaukee, and was only there to help support FEMA vaccination efforts but because of groom for men and specifically Taylor, I now have trust issues because the service I received before my time in Milwaukee is chump change in comparison. Let’s start with aesthetics, dope, clean, killer vibes, classy. All adjectives that would describe the ambiance of this fine establishment. Now let me discuss the professional barbers. Personal, professional, funny, caring, again all adjectives I would use to describe them. Now to the reason for writing this review. Owners if you are reading this, stop what you are doing, and promote Taylor right now to whatever the master barber position is. She transformed my hair into something that could only be described is otherworldly. If we are talking business, because of the superb haircut that she gave, you received at least 12 additional NEW customers because they all wanted the same experience. That in itself should be enough to promote someone. Finally I will say if I could tag the President of the United States in this post so he could personally come get his haircut here I would. Unfortunately this isn’t like Facebook where I can @ someone but hopefully someone will read my post and will give groom for men a chance.

I’ve gotten two haircuts here since moving to MKE, both with Mahala, and they’ve been the best cuts I’ve gotten in my life!! The staff is so sweet, and if you want to chat while waiting or while in the chair, they will happily gab with ya. There’s even a fair amount of piss taking going on, so I constantly laugh and smile while I’m there. I had to use an ADA entrance in the back (stupid ankle sprain), and they were so accommodating. PLUS! PLUS!!… THEY HAVE THEIR OWN PARKING LOT! Yay!

I just moved to Milwaukee, and went to Groom in desperate need of a haircut. I had a little trouble parking downtown - but I realized this was my fault, as Groom has its own parking lot (a great amenity for a downtown business!). The environment is pleasant, the staff are very personable, the cost is very reasonable. My barber took the time to discuss what I had in mind, gave me styling advice, and came up with a plan - taking plenty of time to make sure everything would come together just right. Since it was my first time there, they even added a facial hot towel treatment and moisturizer, which felt great. The whole experience was fantastic, and I left with perhaps the greatest haircut I'v ever had. I highly recommend Groom to any man in the area! I will be coming back regularly!

Free beer while getting my haircut. There were a couple cute dogs. Best haircut experience and best haircut of my life. Madisen did a phenomenal job and I will definitely be back!

Simply outstanding experience from start to finish. Warm welcome (they had me sold at the complimentary beer fridge), genuine and patient stylists, great atmosphere and over the top attention/detail to safety guidelines. While the pricing may be higher than most in the area, it’s for good reason and I’d recommend to all that I know.

First time at Groom and even though there's the whole Covid thing they make it seem like a warm, welcoming place. My hairstylist, Lauren, was amazing. I came in with some crazy hair that I thought was pretty much unfixable but she managed to make it look good and was great to work with. I don’t normally do these posts but when getting a shave I had a gash on my lip. I felt something was wrong and after some paying for my haircut and shave my lip started bleeding. It’s not the fact that the accident happened that got me upset but the lack of consideration of care. Nobody even looked concerned and never got an apology. The ladies here are super nice and friendly. Haircuts are nice but may have to pass on a future shave here. Overall the whole experience didn’t feel as good as the first time I was here.

I needed a cut because my normal barber was on vacation. I have tried other places downtown, and have been very unhappy with the results. I was told to try Groom and was not disappointed. The whole experience was great. I know being new they give you a little extra attention, but I noticed the other “barbettes” interactions with repeat clients were like old friends. Lucy did a great job on the cut and was very professional in asking what I wanted and checking in on how I felt about every step of the cut. If my barber is unavailable Groom will be my go to for an emergency cut.

A great place! This was conveniently nearby after a quick google search, and I desperately needed a cut after a previous cut in a different city a while back... There are complimentary drinks while you wait for your appointment (though I just turned up on the off-chance) and Carly’s skills and conversation were great. High end place, but you get your money's worth in the experience/quality of the haircut as well as the overall experience including complimentary adult beverages. I always leave feeling happier than I arrived. Pretty much the only place I trust to cut my hair! They are always so nice and friendly and really easy to talk to, and I feel at home when I'm at Groom. It's also a great place if you like dogs! Dana and Lisa are all around perfect Barbettes, and a joy to have cut my hair.

Made an appointment in the early morning and they were able to fit me in by 11:30AM. The wait was not long and the staff seemed friendly upon entering. When I first went I got a free upgrade and I chose to pay for it in my most recent visits because it is certainly worth it. What it all includes is scalp exfoliation, shampoo, scalp and face massage, and hot towel. The haircut included a shoulder massage, a 5-star haircut and a classic straight razor neck shave. The environment you get cut in is a classy yet rugged kind of joint. Its almost like a combination between a bikers bar and Milwaukee's Carnevor steakhouse. The fine young lady who cut my hair was Dana and she was up-to-date on styles and did an excellent job. I would recommend this to any gentlemen between the ages of 20 and 120 who are willing to throw down some extra cash for a perfect haircut and a overwhelming nice experience.

The women sounded sincere and genuinely sorry that I did not enjoy the exceptional services the salon is known for. They offered to either fully refund me or a complimentary re-dye to my natural color. Regardless of my original feelings, this is a superb example of customer service so I have changed my original one star to four stars. Yes my original experience was extremely dissatisfying; but the fact that they take these reviews seriously and were willing to still help me in someway shows an amazing amount of professionalism and customer support. Haven't decided if I feel like going back, but regardless, overall as a business I am more impressed now than I was when I left the salon. ***********************ORIGINAL REVIEW************************** can't advocate for their hair cuts - but for mens hair color they are getting one star. I asked to go like 1 or 2 shades lighter for summer. I was a solid brunette, I now have some obviously dyed golden carrot hair. And I didn't appreciate the staff trying to convince me it looked good. Instead of being honest like "oh man, this isn't what we planned, let's fix it", I got "Soooooo what do you think?? :)" - I think I look like the real slim shady. Rest of the reviews are true. Great staff - but nice people doesn't make my experience of having my hair effed up any better. 55$ to get my hair the color of these stars, and I'll likely pay less than 10$ for a take home kit to fix it.

As a kid who grew up with great clips It was a bit of a shock to me to start spending $40 on a cut. I have a professional job now and I can tell you a quality cut makes a difference in your appearance, so honestly I never think twice about it anymore. Crew is great, service is great, place is cool and chill.

This place is trendy with mid-century modern aesthetics that is reflected in the whole experience. Aside from the atmosphere, the barbettes are extremely talented and cut your hair to your personal style.

Just had my first cut with Groom (Samuel) and loved it. Samuel is a very cool guy, gave me some great advice, and a whole new look. Just what I wanted. Also, now that I'm a client, I can get $6 clean-ups...which will extend the time between cuts... Highly recommend giving it a try...

It's hard to find a great barber shop, I've found one in Groom. They have great customer service and even better cuts. They take time, so if your used to haircuttery or sports clips then get ready for a real cut, it's worth it. Groom takes time, 30 minutes min with an appointment. Also they provide a wash, straight razor shave on sideburns and neck and free touchup in between cuts. You won't be disappointed...

You will not find a better barbershop experience than what Groom delivers every day. The key word above is “experience”. Groom does not move you in and out of their chairs like parts on an assembly line. They have cultivated a very unique environment where you feel like you just walked into a room full of great friends, good beer and of course meticulously trained lady barbers at the top of their game. I took my five groomsmen to Groom the morning of my wedding. All of us got a hot towel, straight razor shave. The experience was fantastic. Every staff member I met was friendly, and all of the staff that worked on us made us look like a million bucks. Google is the one who is causing you to recei ve bad reviews. The Google assistant is automated to call and make an appointment with you. This isn't something I picked or was even aware of, existed. I'm still awaiting an outcome. I put it into motion around 30 minutes ago. I do see how this can seem impersonal but it is not Groom for Men who is at fault here. Google is blame.
