Don’t sleep on this place! James (like ‘Bond’) was dope and did a tremendous fade. I don’t have a lot of hair and he was able to work with it. They have cold beer, GOOD whiskey and some of the best vibes in town. I was traveling from Philadelphia and so I got the Nickname of Philly while I was there. Awesome conversation and also part of the cut where I got to just sit and relax in silence. HIGHLY recommend you make the trip over. I called and had a haircut within 11 minutes. They are ready to rock and made it work for me. Tell them ‘Philly’ said Hi!

Always a blast chatting it up with him and if I were to say my favorite thing about him (besides his talent as a barber) - it would be that he is extremely receptive to any critiques you may have and never takes offense. Believe me, you can trust this man with your hair.

Trippy has been cutting my hair for a few years now and they're consistently the best haircuts I've ever had. He knows my hair so well now that when I go I can just say "a little longer than last time" and it comes out exactly how I want. Even when I show up with six months of hair growth I always come out looking sharp. The shop itself has great ambience and is in a great location near the beach and a lot of good restaurants. I stopped by for my first cut at Omar's yesterday and had a lovely session with Jeanette. I lived in LA for 15 years in the Beverly-Grove area so most haircuts were on that side of town. I recently moved to Detroit and have found it hard to get a good cut there. So when I come back to LA for work i usually stay in Venice and have been trying a bunch of the prestigious Venice barbershops. I really loved the people and the vibe at Omar's. Carmen was recommended to me years ago by a friend and let me tell you that from day 1 she already knew what to do with my hair. Before her I was going from barber to barber looking for the right one (even went to super cuts....I know) but I never found one that I liked. I would 100% recommended Carmen to anyone looking for a new barber. The shop is cozy and I was greeted warmly by Omar and I was offered coffee right away. Carmen is the best barber out there! I’ve been going to her for at least 6 years now and her attention to detail is unmatched. A lot of other trendy barbers have a cookie cutter approach to everyone’s hair, but Carmen takes the time to recognize how MY hair grows and all the cowlicks so that the cut stays fresh even longer. Carmen’s attention to detail is unmatched and I won’t get my hair cut by anyone else! She has also been cutting our boys’ hair (4 and 2) and they absolutely adore her! They get super excited to go see Tia Carmen and she is great at making them feel comfortable. They both had their first haircut at 1 and despite their moods or squirming around she always manages to give them awesome cuts!

When you leave his place your hair will look super fresh and you’ll legit feel more confident. The ambiance of the barber shop is cool too. Looks like a Cigar Lounge with super nice decor and they always play chill beats. They will also hook you up with a refreshment while waiting. The prices are super reasonable for the area and definitely worth every penny…I highly recommend this place.

I am very particular when it comes to getting my hair cut and styled, and therefore I do a lot of research when the time comes to find a new person to be my barber. After doing my research I came to Omar's barbershop and had my hair cut and styled by JEANETTE, and WOW! She is hands down the best most competent and thorough barber I have ever had (Omar is fantastic too). Jeanette did not rush at all and really took the time to get a feel for the way my hair grows, as well as paying attention to my cowlicks etc. She gave me such a fantastic haircut that I have now been getting compliments on literally everyday! Not only is she fantastic at following directions when I show her a picture or explain the look I am wanting to try, but anytime I am feeling adventurous and ask her for a style that would work well with my type of hair, she always has great ideas and makes me look/feel like million bucks. I can not emphasize enough how great she is and if you are picky like me, and take pride in your appearance then look no further because you will not find a better barber in LA! I HIGHLY recommend! P.S. I have been seeing her for months now and I can no longer keep track of all the compliments I have gotten due to her skills.

She was realistic about what was possible with my hair at the time (I have really thick straight hair) and we crafted a plan to get my ideal look. She is a pro with the clippers too- she gave me the best fade and made sure that the blend was perfect! She is very personable and hilarious, so she makes you feel comfortable right away. No attitude - nothing but positivity. She also does everything in her power to keep us safe during this time- masks + thoroughly sanitizes all of her equipment and barber chair between every client.
