Found this gem on Yelp and will describe my experience as PHENOMENAL. Handsome devils barber shop outpoints any barber in Los Angeles. Amazing customer service, I met Matt and wow was I blown away. This guy has a genuine personality, very kind and caring and actually cares about his customers and work etiquette. I absolutely love this place, his skills are out of this world, I mean he is a perfectionist - a true Picasso of his craft. No wonder this place has nothing but 5 star reviews. I'm so happy I found this place, I needed something special and I found that here with Matt. I highly suggest anyone looking for a great cut to come here. Tell them Larry sent ya!

I wasn't sure I believed all the hype, but it's true. Matt is a consummate professional. His shop is neat, clean, simple and attractive, and his services are fast, high quality, and very reasonably-priced. After delivering a great cut, he also takes the time to quickly wash-out your hair before final styling -- a very nice touch that I don't often see in a "regular barber shop". Matt himself is also very friendly and engaged, but relaxed, and clearly considerate of the experience he is delivering to his customers. On the day of my appointment, a previous appointment was running late. I was very impressed with the way that Matt handled the pressure and made sure everyone was happy and satisfied...(but PLEASE be on time to your appointments, people) ;-). This is definitely my new regular shop.

WOW! I've been going to Handsome Devil's for about 6 months now. Matt is my go-to barber (he might be the best barber I've ever had) but I've had my hair cut from every barber there and haven't walked out disappointed once. I'm never stressed if Matt has a booked schedule because his entire staff is next level great! And the price is amazing for the quality of service you receive. Every barber there is very professional. They take pride in their work with great attention to detail. The environment is very welcoming, super friendly and clean. The atmosphere is really fun. If you want a professional hair cut with amazing detail work see Matt. Very nice man with amazing class. Matt treats you like family and you won't find a barber like him in the world. I been living in Los Angeles, CA over 30 years and I've been to all Beverly Hills, Westwood no stylist has never done a great work of Matt the amazing barber. Also the barber shop is super clean. From the floors, windows, chairs you won't find a mess or dirt anywhere.

Not only does he give a mean haircut, he also offers great advice (both on life or if you’re on the fence/looking for suggestions). Matt is the best barber in LA, for the best price too. He and JD know how to take care of hair of all types. Matt has been cutting my hair and beard for almost two years. I only go to him because he's a perfectionist who pays attention to detail. He'll work with you to ensure you get exactly what you want. The place is always bumping premium satellite radio, which is always a plus. The cut comes with shampoo and styling. Cash only. Plaza has a small parking lot and lots of meter street parking, but I always park in residential for free a block over.

Quality Barbers, nice shop! Cash Only, there is an ATM but it charges you 3 bucks. 30 dollars for a skin fade which seems to be the going rate in Hollywood. Matt is a great barber! He is super chill and does a great fade. I would recommend calling ahead to schedule an appointment if you want someone specific. So far all the barbers at this place get down.

Also, I've been trying out a bunch of pomades and hair products from Amazon, but haven't found anything that's smelled as good or holds as well as Matt's Gods & Legends pomade. Always greeted with a warm welcome. Always offered a water or beer upon arrival. Good music fills the shop and keeps the atmosphere up. Have only good things to say about Matt. We have quality conversations about things and life. 20$ gets you a great cut, wash w/ shampoo, dry and styling. Doesn't get any better for this area. Other shops will charge you 50$ dollars. So tip this dude well because it's a bargain for what you're getting!

Just had the best haircut in a long time. Matt's the man. He listens to you and cuts it exactly the way you want. I had many bad experiences with barbers where I tell them what I'm looking for and they just did the opposite. Matt isn't like that. Matt has superb attention to detail (inspects after washing for stray hairs), incredible customer service (chill, friendly, and accommodating appointment times, super easy just call day of). When I first moved to LA about 8 months ago, I looked around on Yelp trying to find a really good hairdresser/barber. I found Matt and his Handsome Devil's Barber Shop that was pretty closed to where I live and that had very good reviews. And damn I'm happy I found Matt! Not only is he an extremely good hairdresser, he's also very humble, always apologizing if he's a couple of minutes late and always offer you a cold beer or some other beverage. I have a thinner Scandinavian hair which sometimes can be a little bit more difficult to get that nice fade on. I'm an old hairdresser myself so I know what I'm talking about and during all my years getting cut by others, have I never received such a great fade as the one Matt does. I can highly recommend Matt!

Well I moved away from Hollywood, went to the local Barber and what I feared came to pass. My fade doesn't look half as clean as it did when Matt cut it. Not only that, I don't have the cool friendly vibes that you get at handsome devil. I'm used to looking forward to going to the barber shop. As soon you step in you're treated as one their boys. If ever I have a special occasion, I'm definitely making a trip back up to Hollywood to get my hair cut here. As soon you as you go somewhere else you notice the difference. Matt took his time and made sure you were walking advertisement. I had JD cut my hair once as well and he knocked it out the park. Needless to say, I'm a picky customer and this is the best cut in town. While you're in the neighborhood, grab some Mashti Malones ice cream.

Here are a few tips: 1. Cash only 2. Schedule an appointment via text message the day before, although you might get lucky with a same day appointment (he is in demand) 3. Limited parking in the lot. Be aware of 5 mins, 30 mins and 1 hour signs. There is also metered street parking He shares the space with another barber in case Matt is fully booked, hope this helps!

Matt the owner of Handsome Devils Barbershop went above and beyond today! I didn't have an appointment so I walked in and he very kindly said he was unable to get me in. He then directed me to a few other shops which could do good work. I said thanks and proceeded to leave. As I was pulling out he came down the stairs to tell me his appointment needed to reschedule and he could get me in. He did exactly what I asked and even provided me with some hair styling tips and product to take with me. Very professional and the vibe is A+. Will definitely be coming back and recommending. Keep it up!
