It was very streamlined. You walk in and unless you have a preferred barber who is open you type your name in on a keyboard and it will be on a screen in order of when you signed in. I went on a Tuesday afternoon so it wasn't all that busy. I was first in line and the barber I had was very easy to talk to and when I showed him a picture of the hair cut I wanted he absolutely nailed it. Would definitely recommend to a friend based on the experience I had.

Thanks for the great experience! We were last minute walk-ins for the kids and didn't wait long at all. Fun atmosphere and smiles all around. I didn't catch the names of the barbers but whoever took the two french kids did a fantastic job! Both listened to what was requested and delivered exactly that. In hindsight, i don't feel we tipped enough so wanted to leave a 5 star review for the both of them! The boys really wanted the 'american barber' experience and (I think) are both super happy with the results! Thanks again!

My first time here to get a beard trim, I didn't have high expectations because it has been my experience that it usually took three sessions before a barber would learn my unique beard growth pattern and begin giving me my desired look. But... my barber (clay) nailed it out the gate! He was truly knowledgeable. I can't praise his work enough. I will be returning again and would definitely recommend Chad's to my bearded friends.

Took my boyfriend to get his hair cut, this is where he always gets his hair cut. He walked in and put his name on a waiting list with one guy in front of him at 5:25, they close at 6. The person who was supposed to cut his hair took his name off the lost then left because he didn’t “feel” like staying and cutting his hair. So, 6 o’clock rolls around and barbers have already been leaving but he noticed his name wasn’t on the list anymore. They were bickering about who was going to cut his hair then this guy says “I guess I’ll do it” and they asked my boyfriend to pay before the cut so they could close the register. He even gave the man a tip and the man spoke to him once and that was to ask how he wanted it cut. My boyfriend even showed a picture of how he wanted it cut and it came out nothing like the picture. Normally, we have a good experience each time but my boyfriend didn’t feel welcomed nor was he satisfied with how it was cut.

I really love this place. I rarely find myself going anywhere but here even though i live across town. Only reason for 4 star is i asked dude to "clean up my lines" on my beard, and he ended up chopping about 80% off of my 3year masterpeice... fuming over this. But aside from this, great place

My son and I got great cuts and attention while being out the door for 40 bucks including tip. Cash only but ATM on site.

Best barber shop in the state of Indiana probably in the Midwest. Hands down! I stop in anytime they have about 15 to 20 Barbers working. A nice sign in sheet so you don't have to worry about who's next. They also have an ATM machine so if you need to pull cash out they have you covered there as well. Great atmosphere definitely a place to visit

Hands down the only barber shop that cuts my hair how like it. Only unfortunate thing is I live an hour away so getting here when I need it can be difficult. Always worth the drive though.

This was my first time coming here to Chad’s barbershop. Wasn’t sure what to expect going in. I came out with one of the best haircuts I’ve had in awhile! A.Z. was my barber and he absolutely killed it! I’ll be coming back to him regularly for sure. If you haven’t tried out this barbershop then I highly recommend it!

A couple weeks ago I went to Great Clips (for the last time I might add) and the lady that cut my hair butchered me. I lost two years of work on my hair and had to basically shave my head so I didn't look like a fool. I've been looking for a solid barber shop for years since moving to Indy but never found anything that really stuck with me so great clips was the move because it's cheap. This all changed when I walked out of Chad's today. My guy David O'Neil spent over 45 minutes giving me precise attention to detail when cutting my hair and lining up my beard. I've never had such good treatment from someone I didn't know at all. The vibe of the barber shop was super positive, everyone was chatting with each other and David gave me the grade-A treatment. I felt like I'd walked into a room with all my friends and it was a first time visit! My search for a solid barber shop is over. Chad's is the place ya'll!

Went to Chads about a month ago. Didnt expect much because Ive had my hair cut several times at several different places like most everyone else. Walked into the building and I was legit raising eyebrows and genuinely pleased. The barbers were extremely professional and courteous. The atmoshpere was alive. Poppin tunes and beautiful artwork on the walls. One barber, Brandon K, had the opportunity to style my hair with a fresh fade. My hair was long. At least shoulder length. This wizard of a barber refined my style like it was easy. 10/10 best haircut ive ever experienced. This man is a barbershop god. He will make you look and feel like your ultimate self after you get a fresh cut from him!!!! Chads is where its at!!!!!

I travel for a living, and forced to use what ever barber shop I can find in whatever town I'm in. This is by far the best barbershop I have walked into anywhere in the country. I knew the second I walked in the door I was in the right place. Kenny did a bomb job giving me exactly what I asked for. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area. This place was great upon it's first few years, but I'm disappointed at it now. Barbers have became too "chatty" and try to be "comical". If I'm paying nearly $20 or more, I like for my barber to be focused and be productive the entire time I'm in the chair. Many of them are cocky and think they're the best. Step your game up and put ya phones down. For tweet n' "likes" sake! Good barbershops are all around the city. Won't be returning for some time!

Ehh i’m about ready to stop coming here. 2/10 times i’ve last been here, i left because it had been 30+ minutes wait and seeming like people somehow cut in front of me. I understand the barbers taking their time because i expect the same for me! They get an A+ for that. However i’m giving it a 3 star just from my own experience of them running a trimmer through my eyebrows without asking me first, and often having my mother comment about the disproportion of the cut and just fixes it herself. Not to mention the time the barber misunderstood my request to leave 3 inches and instead took 3 inches off leaving me w the shortest cut i’ve ever had and HATED it. that instance was well over a year ago though they’ve since handled that type of thing i’m guessing.

Edit: I mistakenly gave 2 stars, now theres 3. Also the owner reached out and offered to help out next time I come in. However, I have No way to contact them directly nor do I know what he looks like. I would be willing to to be a repeat customer if I knew which barbers were better with undercuts, and experienced white fine straight hair. Unfortunately with probably 20+ barbers, there is no efficient way to find out who is better at what. This place is good if you get lucky with the right barber. The last 2 times I have been, unfortunately I have recieved the same barber. I do not know his name but he is a bigger black guy, kind of young. Both times I've had him he mentioned something about having an appointment soon so he would have to hurry. Both of these times lead me to receiving a bad haircut. He didnt mess anything up, but I have fine blonde hair the requires a lot of work when fading and blending, especially with my undercut. Both times he has left long hair next to my hard part where it shouldn't be. I ask for a 3 to 1 fade. It's like a 3 right by undercut and hard part, then a 2 all over and a small corner of a 1 by my side burns. Also, both times I have had him he can not seem to cut my hair for more than 30 seconds before stopping and talking to other barbers. Or picking up his phone. This is a common theme at this barber shop, even the good barbers can not refrain from blabbing to the other barbers the whole time. A haircut that should take 15 minutes often takes 30 because of it. I go to shops because I have a particular haircut and both times now I've had to come home and finish my haircut myself because he cant get the small hairs by my part. You guys also advertise a free razor finish with the haircut. I have received this from every barber I have had, except him. Both times he never gave me the straight razor finish. I will most likely not return to this place and roll the dice hoping to get a good barber. If I wanted to pay 20+ bucks for a mediocre haircut, I would go to sport clips. Not a place that is supposed to be a "barber shop"

To be completely honest there are multiple chairs and then depending on the kind of person (quiet or talkative) you like cutting your hair and the kind of cut you want (all straight razor or buzzers) it is a selection process from hell but, well worth it and I mean that! For all the men out there reading this. You're not going to go to any specialty (sports clips) place and get the kind of quality cut you would from Chad's. For all the men out there still going to great or sport clips, please stop hurting yourself, the world cares about you, go to Chad's and save your head. For the ladies out there, I have seen them do some wonderful work. If you're a mother or father, they are great with kids as well. If you're tired of the messy head and the sloppy cuts from other places, get over to Chad's and make your appointment or simply walk in and wait but don't forget to sign in. If you're not going to make an appointment don't show up after 4:30. That's from experience.

My two year old had his hair cut by Jordan and boy was he not a happy camper. Jordan was excellent and showed NO frustration. Every barber and customer in there showed no sign of being irrated by the screaming child. That is an A plus in a mother's book!!! Will definitely be a returning customer. I remember Chad starting this place, from being in a corner chair at a now extinct old school barber shop and he had an enormous following then! Never knew a guy more passionate about the work he does and keeping customers satisfied as this guy. Knows how to pick a crew too. I had my hair cut by him from '97 - '06, followed him to his new shop, until age got to me and I just did my hair at home hahaha! Taking my son up there, I know I'll still be around for years to come. This place is legit.

If you're visiting, living in the area, just passing through, or live in the outskirts of the city and you need to get a haircut while you are here, or are planning on getting a haircut when you are here... Then it is absolutely ridiculous to go anywhere else but Chad's Barber Shop... They have been ranked number one on CBS channel 8 News, they have 1 all kinds of awards 4 the quality of haircuts given, and also the quality of customer service that is presented by not only the owner but The Barbers as well. Chad's Barber Shop is a home felt part of the community, and they do a very good job at making everyone feel comfortable and making it a pleasant environment for adults and children of all ages... If you go to Chad's barber shop and don't come out with a haircut that you are completely satisfied with, odds are Chad Potts the owner will make it right... It's a great barber shop I'm proud to have been a customer 4 close to 15 years.

My experience with the place wasnt the best. I took my son to get his hair done. I am not into rap music at all for 1 and i can live with that. The person that cut his hair was more into his looks than done his job better or helping anyone out. If he would leave his phone alone for more than a few seconds, stop looking in the mirror at him self, learn how to speak properly instead of saying Bro alot! He would be real good at his job and make more money. I know he is younge but he needs a proper attitude towards his job as well. I can still hear him complain about the other shift and saying or over using the word Bro!! Tell him good luck with his future hair stylist. He is very good but attitude isnt the good.. Also i looked up the prices. He charges my younge son a adult haircut not a kids. Thanks.

The secret is out on this place. Great place for a man to get all the barber extras. They trimmed eyebrows, ear and nose hair, witches peak, neck into back hair. Basically what ever needed done to make you look sharp.
