It’s always easy to book an appointment, and staff is always smiling. Sadly, the turnover seems high, and the cuts are a bit overpriced. Why do I keep coming back? Because they take care of my needs and I feel rejuvenated after they style my hair

This is the only place I'll get my hair cut. I don't want to go to a salon that specializes in women's hairstyles, and I don't want a cookie cutter sport clips experience. This place caters to exactly what I'm looking for; good service, nice haircuts, not crazy expensive. It's always nice to go in and get new advice on styling and products, too. I liked a product they used on my hair after they cut it, and I found some online to buy. Great way to try out hair products that you can't find in box chain stores.

This establishment is amazing! I was greeted immediately as I walked & introduced to my barber/stylist. My time spent in the chair was full of great communication and relaxation. I received a head shave and beard trim. Ashley is a true master at her craft. She asked me exactly what I wanted and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. This was the first time that I have met her and I feel like I know her like we have been friends for years. I will be returning back 4:59 for my next beard trim and head shave very soon. All the employees here were happy and the vibe inside the lounge made you want to hang out all there all day. I highly recommend Ashley and the rest of the staff at 4:59 Barberlounge to anyone looking for a new barber/hairstylist that will treat you exactly how you want to be treated!

I have been coming to 4:59 exclusively since I moved to Indiana 4 years ago. I moved further away but I still drive 35 minutes to have my hair cut here rather than going elsewhere. They exemplify how a good local business should be run: professional, courteous, kind, and they really take care of their clients and their staff. I got married last year and had all the groomsmen and my father in to get cleaned up while the girls had their pampering at the venue and it was a great time. If it's important to you to get your haircut where it feels like "your place," your search is over.

My overall takeaway is be very careful in your choice of stylist, some are definitely not as good as others. It can have a big impact on your overall experience. I've been going here for years because they're generally professional and give high quality cuts. However, I unfortunately found out recently that the quality here is inconsistent. The stylist was running 35 minutes behind the stated appointment time. There was also apparently a lot of confusion in understanding what I actually wanted because I ended up with a haircut nowhere near what I actually requested. It was to the point that I received negative comments about it the next day. I was also not offered a straight razor neck shave by this stylist, like I have been every other time I've gone here. For the price I would expect better.

I went there for the first time today, was excited given it seemed like a great(fancier than the places I’m used to going) place, and reviews were amazing, only to have a just okay experience. It was rushed, took less than 15 minutes and didn’t feel there was any attention to detail. I don’t think the end result/ haircut was bad, but I have gotten such haircuts at great clips and those haven’t costed $50. And I constantly had to mention what was needed to be done, Anyways I usually go to Sports Clips on keystone and leave much happier than I did today.

He made my cut look fresh and very good customer service, and let me just say he got himself a new client. I totally recommend this barbershop and barber.

Every person that cuts hair here is qualified, but I have an easy haircut overall I must mention. It is on the higher end in terms of price, but the results and experience are top notch, too.

I have received, so far, 2 fantastic haircuts and a beard trim. The hair dressers are great at conversation unlike some places where you're stuck with awkward small talk or uncomfortable silence. They have clearly honed their skills. And as if that wasn't enough this place takes their customer service very seriously. I can't imagine wanting to go anywhere else. It's well worth the price. I will be moving soon and will be making the 30 minute drive just to go here.

This is styled as an upscale Men's Salon in the Keystone Crossing area. It has a good location. The front desk team is very effective, and making appointments here and getting reminders works very well. The staff is friendly, and they have generally high quality stylists. The reception area could use a little updating. The couches are a bit worn. But overall it is a good experience yes. But do expect to pay for higher-end haircuts.

I have been a customer for close to 5 years now. It took me several tries to find the right stylist, but Elizabeth has done really well for me. Staff is very personable and friendly. I really like the phone call I receive the day before my appointment. A little bit expensive, but well width the price. Highly recommend it.

Great, talented, professional staff (shout out to Laura Ramsey) with good pricing. If you get your hair cut every two weeks like I do, you can even get a discount. The additional luxuries like a hair wash and straight razor shave on the neck are just added bonuses. I highly recommend stopping in.

Very great service. You can either make appointments or just do walk-ins. Every time is a bit different, because each barber tends to have their own style and do things a bit differently but always does it the way you want it done. They also tell you about the products they use and how you can get some if you really like it. Quite the experience.

First visit with Elise: PERFECT. Amazing haircut, tips and tricks, shampoo, neck massage, and all around great vibe. Second visit: lady did not greet me with her name, felt detracted from conversation, no neck massage, and unfortunately did not line up my fade at ALL. It looked like I had a crumbling mountain around my head. I will only call and ask for Elise from now on because I wanted $35 for what should have been a grade A haircut and atmosphere and now I just feel like trash with a buzzcut. EDIT 1: Came back per request of management and let me say: There are way more good apples here than bad. Not that any particular person here is bad, you've just got to find someone who understands you and your hair. I just found my stylist on my first visit and didn't realize it. Amazing haircut, soothing shampoo and massage, and more tips and tricks by the wonderfully talented Elise. They always say, find a stylist/barber, and not a shop. I found my stylist and I'm sticking with her! Maybe you'll find yours here too.

First time customer - won’t be back. I booked a shave and a haircut a beard trim and a scalp tratememt. I got there and the stylist tells me she can’t do a straight razor and proceeds to give me a buzz cut all around my head and face and then barely trims my goatee - not even offering to trim the actual length or to line it up properly (my mustache is longer on one side than the other) and I received no scalp treatment, at all unless a normal shampoo counts. To make matters worse, I get back in the chair after the shampoo and she pulls out a straight razor to do the back of my neck (I thought she couldn’t use one of those???). So I get to the checkout, expecting to AT LEAST receive the 20% off for being a first time customer but, you guessed it, nope. Full price. Dude didn’t even bother to ask - or really say much of anything. Extremely disappointed all around. Update: The owner contacted me immediately and took care of everything. They got me back in, got me the service I wanted - completely on them - and it was fantastic! I will be a repeat customer many more times to come.

Don't get me wrong, I love the atmosphere and the stylists are always pleasant...but for $35 dollars, you think you would get a free touch up in between a once every 4 week haircut. Not so any more....they now want an additional $10 for a 5 minute neck trim. Really a nickel and dime tactic that has turned off a 5 year customer

I had already been a frequent and highly satisfied customer of the 4:59 Barber Lounge, but it was not until last spring, when hair designer Miss Katelynn Jefferson joined the staff, that I decided that "4:59" would be my "go-to" salon for all of my hair styling needs. Katelynn is a friendly, sweet young lady who happens to be an exceptionally gifted hairdresser. She also has a delightful sense of humor , combined a sunny personality. . When I arrive for my appointments at 4:59, I'm cheerfully greeted by receptionist Mike H. (or "MIke #1", as I call him) :), who is always professional , courteous and refreshingly personable, and he generously offers me refreshments. Mike is also quick to help me whenever I need to set up or reschedule a future visit. When I get to her chair, Katelynn, also, kindly offers me a beverage, and has already dusted my seat and laid out my favorite magazines. Katelynn is very careful about understanding my intentions for each session, selects her products and tools accordingly. Her shampoo and conditioning treatment are absolutely sensational (I always tell her that her scalp massages are worth the price of admission!) :) We call ourselves a "team", but she does all the work! Between visits, often a week or more apart, I receive many, many compliments about my hairdobut I'm quick to give her all the credit, because my otherwise thinning, flat hair is impossible for me to style myself! My best compliments have been from my wonderful husband, who has been impressed not just with how my hair looks, but also by how highly I speak of Katelynn. For those reasons, he is now her regular client, too! My husband's hair has never looked better, and he has nothing high praise for her skill, her demeanor, and her sense of style . Both of us appreciate the Barber Lounge itself, which is conveniently located near popular restaurants and shops. Its service charges are quite reasonable (considering this otherwise pricey retail district). We also like the friendly owners, Donna and Mike Shoup (Mike #2 ) :), to whom we are grateful for offering the salon and barber services we count on. I strongly recommend the 4:59 Barber Lounge, and in particular, stylist Katelynn Jefferson.

My 5 stars are for Sherri because she's the absolute best. I'm terrible at describing how I want my hair cut and had a bit of anxiety about finding a new barber since I moved to town. Sherri is one of those magical stylists who just knows what you need and makes you look good. There are plenty of places that are closer to me in Fishers but I'll keep making the drive down to 4:59 because that cut is that good. Don't go to Supercuts and get a clowncut-pay a little more and go see Sherri. 100% worth it.

I edited this review because I had a bad experience, and then the owner reached out to me and gave me a free cut. That's super cool. It's always difficult to find a good place to cut my hair because it is so fine. I recommend 4:59 highly for when you need your cut to look fresh!

$35 for a Men's Haircut, Shampoo, and Style. You get a boutique haircut and style for a fraction of the price of a lot of top rated Salons (Eg. DL Lowry Salon or Salon Lofts, which prices vary by stylist) in the area. As someone who is generally kind of terrified of going to a new shop for a hair cut, the atmosphere is calming and energizing. Stephanie A. has been absolutely awesome to work with. Personally love the Gage product they carry. Definitely my go to place for hair from here on out. Will likely be trying the massage services shortly and will update.
