Excellent old school barbershop. They use a system where you can sign in and they text you when your turn is getting close. I have to say that this is a great idea. My guy EJ took his time and lined me up right. Hot towel and razor was a treat. If I lived down here, this is where I would go. Highly recommended!

Just thought I’d give props to my barber Sai. I’ve been a loyal customer for over four and a half years. This is just a photo of one of the many cuts I’ve received from Sai. Hands down the best with the razor, she can freestyle or do any design you’d like. I get asked all the time no matter where I’m at, who cuts my hair. Well all the credit goes to Razor King Barber Shop. Where Sai has been flawlessly cutting my hair for years. Please don’t get discouraged because of the wait time, trust me she’s worth the wait!

This was the first barber shop I visited after moving to Houston from LA. I got my cut from first it was Nolan then Sai and EJ, they've all been super professional. Yes, you do have to wait sometimes to get in a seat but its definitely worth it. They all take their time to make sure the hair cut looks nice and is done right. People complaining that the service took look should just goto one of those cheap mall hair salons. I've been recommended other shops but this is the one for me. When you walk in you're treated with respect and after awhile it feels like family. I would say Razor King is best barber shop in the NW of Houston.

I’ve been coming to this barbershop for 5 years now and it’s hands down the best shop I’ve been to. EJ (the owner) is one of the best barbers in Houston and is here for you. Rather it’s 5am or 9pm he’s going to make sure you get your 5 star haircut. The best thing about this shop is all the barbers can cut great haircuts. You can’t go wrong sitting in Sai or Nephews chair. They definitely appreciate their customers.

Don’t be fooled by the exterior look nor the shop location. I’ve been meaning to stop by and get a professional cut. Parking lot is usually pretty packed so I never stopped. Took a chance today, little did I know it was an hour from closing time. The owner must really know his customers as he recognized I was new. I signed in and no sooner did I sign in I was getting called back. Please folks do not judge this establishment by its outside looks nor its location. A lot folks probably don’t realize it’s next to the Jiffy Lube. They have a dress code as well as an etiquette code, neither of which I’m certain the owner won’t have a problem enforcing (when you get there you will see what I mean). I was truly impressed. I think I found my new spot!!!

This was my first time getting a cut here and everything about the experience was top notch. For starters the digital display showing where you are in terms of getting in the chair is a great touch.The overall vibe of the shop puts you at ease. The hot towel and straight razor shave was on point as well. It is definitely not your stereotypical ethnic barber shop. This is now my new regular spot.

I have been coming to this barbershop for 4 years now and it’s the best place I’ve been to in Houston. After reading some of the other reviews, I definitely feel obligated to add my opinion. The customer is great and the owner and other barbers make all customers feel welcome. With the quality of the haircuts being great, this attracts a lot of customers so know this before you decide to go in at peak hours and expect to be out in 15 minutes, if you have plans, plan them accordingly. Sai is actually me and my son’s barber and does a great. She actually stepped up when my original barber went MIA. Great place and highly recommend!!!

We all know how hard it is to move and find a “New Barber” I must say that I was very Surprised/Pleased by the Environment it has an warm Modern Old School feel, also loved the Professionalism presented by this establishment.I would highly recommend!!! they even text you to update you’re position so you have time to run errands and all which is also pretty considerate....besides That The Service That you get by ALL Barber’s is Overall Great!!! I would consider this to be easily the best barber shop around Houston. I am extremely picky and am never satisfied with my experiences with getting my hair cut. However, this place is definitely worth the drive. I had an awesome barber for a while, but quit going once he moved. I decided to go back and will probably never go anywhere else again. EJ is an excellent owner and chooses his staff wisely. Top notch! You may have to wait a while, but there is a reason why it is busy.

This was my first time at Razor King; it was a great experience. I walked in and was seen pretty quick. I like that they have a computer screen displayed that shows you where you are in line, that way there's no confusion. Sai was my service provider and she did a great job! First time here. The service was what I would call "old school". I was met by "EJ" who was polite and courteous. The atmosphere was that of a regular neighborhood barbershop. No fancy bling, extravagant lighting, or loud music. All patrons who appeared to be regulars were greeted by "EJ" promptly upon entering. The service was professional and well worth the price, wait, and visit. I will be returning!

Visited this Barber Shop today as a walk-in client for the first time. Had previously read reviews and decided to ask for EJ the owner to perform my service. He didn't disappoint. Very professional. Listened to my request and made professional suggestions. Even told me if the cut was not up to my liking after I bleached my hair, to stop by and he would make it right. Super excited to find a great barber in my neck of the woods (Northwest Houston). Will definitely be going back, although on a day that is less busy. I agree with other reviewers that the shop is very welcoming and friendly.

The shop is kinda hidden behind a mechanic shop. They were welcoming and down to earth when we walked in. I loved that the owner is a reserved police officer. They work on any type of hair it seems. It was my first time going to a barber shop so it was a bit different. They talk and socialize so there is no "in and out". But as for the quality of the hair cut, I loved what Saidah did to my sons hair. It was very clean cut.

I have shaved my own head for decades andI haven't had a need to go to a barbershop , I decided to grow a beard and wanted a ole school razor shave. One of my coworkers told me about this place. Not knowing their hours I drove across town to give it a shot. Got there after they were already closed but they took me anyways. I called this shop & hung up before anyone answered then somebody called me back so I went in & got a cut. The atmosphere was welcoming & friendly never experienced that at a barbershop, they welcome everyone. The barber took time to explain different things to me about my line-up & hair. Get this toward the end of my haircut, I found out the owner was cutting my hair-- I would have never known because the guy was very humble, not boastful at all, if you're in Houston this is definitely the place to go get your cut!!!

I went in for a haircut and a straight razor shave. All of the employees greeted me when i came in and sitting there for a few minutes waiting for my turn in the chair you can tell this is a small business with personality. The haircut was great, the shave excellent and at a good price considering what I've paid at other places for the same service. This barber shop is almost an hour drive from my house. I first noticed that there were many customers waiting, but then I noticed the team work being exhibited by the barbers. They assisted each other in between customers to clean up the shop and expedite the waiting process. They masterfully can cut all styles of hair. Next, I noticed the atmosphere. This is not the type of barbers shop with inappropriate language, explicit music being played, or barbers smoking in the shop. The barbers all were very professional. My barber, Yusef West, did a fantastic job, and he was the displayed true passion for his profession. I HIGHLY recommend this barber shop!

For any man looking for a quality barbershop experience with an old school feel. This shop offers a full line of services for men from a simple cut to a strait razor shave. Each service offered for around $15 or less and is well worth the time. When looking for the shop, remember that they are located behind a Jiffy lube. I was regretting that i could not find this shop earlier than i did! I had a blast of a time socializing with the staff beyond the service itself. Would recommend them to anyone!

Been in the hospital for about 3 months from a motorcycle accident, so I was looking pretty scruff mcgruff for a bit. Had my baby's gender reveal party within two days of being released from Memorial Hermann. On such short notice they took me in as a walk in, and I immediately felt welcome. I was searching online for a barbershop near where I live in Jersey Village and I picked Razor King best decision I could’ve made EJ, Sai & Tee are all dope with those clippers this is definitely my spot to get my shape up on my natural cut and will also be my husband’s as well. It felt like I was home in MS I’ve only been in Houston 2 weeks didn’t know anyone or who to trust with clippers to my hair I’m picky about my head but we had to find a loyal barber. I've been there twice in the past 1 month and had haircut with 2 different barbers. The end result isn't very satisfactory but it's ok and acceptable. However, I'm just curious on the price being charged. The board inside the shop says adult men's cut is $15. My first cut was with Sherman who charged $20 and I added $3 as a tip. My second cut was with Avery who charged $25 and I added $5 as a tip (I didn't have change for $3). Why is the price different from what the board says? And why is the price different between each barber?

I would venture to say that this barbershop is the best in Houston. What sets them above the rest is their unprecedented skills with the straight razor. I went in this afternoon around 430pm and got the cleanest, crispest, and freshest beard line up/edge/trim with clippers and razor I've ever experienced. Expect a good wait time. Yet my wait time equaled the time my barber (Avery) spent on my barber services. Good, reasonable prices too. Great customer service too. So if you want to look like a BOSS with the freshest and cleanest look in the H then check out dem razor kingz holding it down on that northwest side of the H!

I used to travel 30-40 mins just to get my haircut here. Great place, great atmosphere and Sai always did a great job no matter how late or early in the day. There is a bit of wait at times but it should be expected from a good barbershop place. I have since moved to Dallas but I still at times consider traveling back just for a haircut!

These men are professional's, As a picky customer my self these men go above and beyond to provide you the best haircut of your need. Don't be afraid to walk in, they are truly class. Moe cut my hair and did a fine job. I will be back at this barber shop. 5/5 Excellent, way better than Q's salon, and other competing barbers and salons. Add info: I suffer from anxiety panic attacks, so I'm usually edgy with blades on my face, but these men made me feel comfortable to where I was relax and didn't panic at all.

So I had to do two things today, get my oil changed and my hair cut. I stopped at Honest1 and saw this oldschool looking barber shop tucked away off to the side. While I was waiting on my car I walked on over and let me tell you, I WILL BE BACK. It was really busy (my fault for trying to get anything done the weekend before Thanksgiving) but just sitting there I could tell they were not being slow just to screw around, unlike the big chains these guys (and girl) take there time to do the job right. Nephew took care of me and he did the best cut I've had in years. Unfourtainally I didn't have the funds to take advantage of there shave services but that just gives me an excuese to go back sooner. I didn't know barber shops like this existed in real life; the people are friendly, there banter back and forth amongst themselves and customers is entertaining and the overall feel of the shop is like something straight out of a movie or tv show. The prices are great, obviously more expensive than the big chains, but I stress again the quality of there work is worth the time and money. Awesome place. I will be back, despite all the New England Patriots decor, 😄.

Tam just gave me the sickest haircut of my life. I have never been to a place so lively and full of energetic people laughing and being genuinely friendly. Not only were they hospitable and fast, I got special attention from Tam. She listened to my request for a marine corps high and tight and took the time to straight razor the look. I saw Razor King everyday but never stopped so when the time came to get another barber I came on in. E.J., Sai and the entire staff were very welcoming and the atmosphere was great. Went to one of the chain establishments and had the worst haircut experience I could imagine. Decided to see if a real barber could salvage my hair before I took the buzzer to it. Read the reviews for the shops in my area and decided on Razor King. EJ was friendly and welcoming from the minute I walked in the door. Told him about my situation and what I hoped we could salvage, after he had a look at my butchered mop we discussed what the best solution would be and from there he executed the plan like a master! I decided to finally do it and go out and get a Straight Razor Shave. I found Razor King was in my neighborhood and paid them a visit. I was greeted by the owner EJ and made to feel right at home. He set me up with Toya who was very friendly and professional. She did a fantastic job and made my face feel as smooth as baby skin. I was very impressed and enjoyed the experience of the hot towels, tea tree ointments and other treatments they did to get a very close shave. After I was done the owner, sat me back down in the chair and treated me to a "Deluxe Shave" I think he called it, where there were more hot towel and various face treatments to make any stubborn whisker or stubble pop up where he went over my face with a safety razor. This was his demo to Toya on how he does the Deluxe Shave and his techniques. THANKS EJ! VERY SMOOTH and refreshing. I had a blast and glad I went and paid them a visit. I highly recommend Razor King - they have a great Team over there that will treat you right. I'm a big fan now of Straight Razor Shaves and Razor King!
