Russell and Sherman are very excellent Master Barbers. It is very convenient because they are open to the public 7 days a week. Which is a benefit for me because I work 6 days a week. So me and my kids go there on Sundays to get a fresh taper. Highly recommend this barber shop for all your haircut needs. Very friendly environment.

I relocated to the area about 6 months ago and couldn’t find a barbershop that was good enough. They were either too pricey and not good, too pricey and not professional, or just not what I wanted. I found Great News Barbershop and it was just right. The price of the cut was just right. The cut was just right and consistent every time I’ve gone to Russell. He is very professional and isn’t like those other barbers who will have an entire phone conversation while cutting your hair. You are the customer and he he gives you his undivided attention. If you’re new to town, busy and looking for a place to take your kids, take them to Great News Barbershop. They have a stylist and two barbers. They’re friendly, fast, professional, and does great work. It was a Sunday when I went to shop for Sherman to fix my nephew haircut that I done. Sherman took his time out and explained to me what I did wrong and was able to fix it. It was great news knowing that they’re open on Sundays and able to fix my nephew hair. He had school the next day. Lol

Wow so happy I came here. I was in the area with my son and had some spare time and since I was way (WAY) overdue for a haircut looked around for a local non-chain store barber shop that was open on a Sunday. I called Great News and spoke to Russ who offered to stay a little late for me. I rushed over and let me tell you this guy is a master of his trade. You ever sat down and ten seconds in you’re thinking “ohhhh no?” Four seconds in and I was thinking “ohhh yeah.” This was the best haircut and beard trim of my life, no exaggeration. I live an hour away so I don’t know how often I can make it down here but I may have to make the trip a part of my routine anyway just for the haircut. Sincerely, thank you Russ. Great Hair cuts but a bit pricey for me and my 10 year old son I paid 70 dollars for a cut 30 for a child and 35 for me ofcourse I was a gentleman and paid but defensively wasn't worth 70 bucks I have never seen someone charge so much for a child. No prices posted anywhere in the shop causes this type of confusion but the cut was good just too pricey for me I get cut once sometimes twice a week at that price I'll pass.

Thank goodness they're open on Sundays, which is very convenient seeing as though it's hard to find a true barbershop (not a TGF or SportsClips type place) open on a Sunday. The two gentlemen barbers are professional and work well with children. I can tell they do a good job on hair, no matter the texture. Both of my sons' hair textures are very different from each other and they did a great job on both.
