This picture don’t do any justice of how clean this cut was but Xavier definitely did not disappoint! He delivered some high quality service that left me walking out smiling and feeling good about this cut! Was my first time getting my haircut with him and not my last. Just PCSed back home from Colorado and after getting my haircut from my previous barber for 5 years I was very hesitant getting my hair cut from anyone else. Within seconds of sitting down in his chair all my worries and hesitation went away! I appreciate how welcoming he was and really took his time with my cut. He listened to me but also gave some great suggestions for my hair texture. He also introduced me to some really good product for my hair. So all in all I walked out with a high quality hair cut, bought some new product, and a new barber and barbershop to come back to! Highly recommend Xavier if you’re looking for a new barber!

I came here to Hawaii without a haircut because my barber canceled last minute before my trip. Nothing is more difficult or daring than taking a chance on a brand new barber, especially while you’re on vacation in a new place. I’ve google searched and decided to go with Vintage Barbershop. I saw so many positive reviews from the shop itself, but particularly for Xavier. Now I see why. 10/10 customer service, precision, accuracy. Overall Great cut. My guy got me looking handsome again. Made an appointment online for a haircut and beard trim. The barbershop was easy to find, but finding parking wasn't easy. I only had to wait 5 minutes for my barber to call me up. My barber was very friendly, he did the haircut I wanted and cleaned up my beard and mustache better than any barbershop I've gone to. The price here is very reasonable, not too expensive. I will definitely be coming back. If you're in the area and in need of a haircut but don't know where to go, I recommend trying this barbershop out.

As a photographer, usually I am focused on how other people look since I can hide behind the camera. But I decided to clean up a bit, and stopped by yesterday for a cut. Evan did a great job! I wasn’t really sure the look I wanted so I pretty much just gave him artistic free reign, and couldn’t be happier with the results. It’s honestly the best I’ve looked in a long, long time. Already gotten many compliments. In addition to specifically his good work, the barbershop just has a cool vibe to it. Some barbershops can be really over the top and cliquey, but this was a nice balance between being chill and professional. 10/10 recommend.

To take someone during the holiday season and somehow work with exactly with this very confused wife was trying to convey over the phone was nothing short of a miracle. All those great reviews don't lie. 5 out of 5 stars. Vintage ia an old school barber shop with amazing service and great attention to detail. Xavier greeted me on arrival and proceeded to give me an awesome haircut and beard trim... all while talking story in the tradition of barber shops that are now uncommon but were once the cornerstones of their communities. Xavier's expert advice on styling and maintenance of my new beard was also next level service and greatly appreciated. Based on the level of service, skill, and atmosphere, I give Xavier and Vintage my highest recommendation without hesitation or reservation.... unless of course looking fly as hell and getting mad attention will get you in trouble with the old lady... then perhaps a barber as great as Xavier is not for you.

Not a bad joint, cuts here are cheaper than SD. With any new barber cutting your hair, they won't get it right the first time even with you coaching them because you have to build that relationship with them but not s bad cut overall, I was looking for a black barber but found this place that had black people in pictures getting a cut and thought that was good enough. It was and it wasn't. Can't complain.

I have been to at least 15 different barbershops around Oahu, always looking for the best cut and beard trim I can find. I now have two shops that I will go to, one of them being Vintage Barbershop. Specifically, I ask for Xavier. He gave me one of the best haircuts and beard trims I have ever had--EASILY. His skill and attention to detail really shows when, for example, he does his pre-haircut walkaround. He combs your hair to see where your natural lines fall and always takes into consideration your cowlicks and how it might affect your cut. He asked questions about what kind products I use and if I have any allergies to hair and beard care products. All in all, Xavier is a very skilled barber and it shows.

I felt at ease sitting in his chair and he took care of every aspect of my haircut. Mans is versatile and super friendly. Aloha!! Me and my son came to visit the islands and set up appointments to get haircuts and a beard trim. Xavier got us looking extremely sharp and he was very courteous and gentle with lil dude. He related to us and gave us a very comfortable experience. He is spectacular with the clippers and straight razor. Got my hair cut by Xavier today and I'm stoked on the outcome. I came in because my hair has thinned out over the past few months so my previous hair style wasn't working for me anymore. When I arrived Xavier was very friendly and I described to him what I was looking for. Based on my description of what I wanted and without even showing him any photos, he had in mind exactly what he thought would work to get my hair looking fuller again. I typically don't put any product in my hair, but Xavier also showed me a few different ways to style it if I wanted to and I ended up liking it even better than without product. It's impressive to me what a good haircut from someone who clearly knows what they're doing can do to bring back a feeling of confidence in how my hair looks again. This place is awesome! Got my cut from Aaron, he did an incredible job. I’ve never had such a good fade. I don’t know tons about hair, but he was really good at helping me figure out what I wanted and described to me what he was going to do. Looked even better than I was anticipating, my wife was super pleased. Also, great guy to chill and talk with! Had a good time. But if that’s not your thing you can just sit and they’ll cut your hair with little conversation. Highly highly recommend! There is metered parking right outside, but if that’s full there’s paid parking across the street that’s easy to access ($6 an hour).

The shop itself has a classic old-school vibe to it, with its decor and location. Charles K. has been phenomenal, using his many skills and tools to create a stunning look each time. My son enjoys coming here and even he with his Gen Z perspective admits how much he likes the cut and look. Charles takes his time and gives his very best effort each step of the way, and clearly takes pride with his craft. Got my first cut here yesterday and I can't say enough good things about the place. My barber, Xavier, got started on my cut right on time and had me out of the chair within an hour rocking a fresh fade and lined up beard. The barbers definitely pay attention to detail here and take the time to lay your chair back and ensure you get a good clean shave. Great atmosphere and competitive prices when comparing with other shops in town. Definitely my new go and I highly recommend checking it out.

My worst nightmare is moving to a new place and trying to find a new barbershop. After a short google search I came across Vintage Barbershop, booking an appointment was about as easy as it came. Arriving at the shop I was greeted by Xavier just outside the door, from my first interaction with him it was like talking to an old friend I hadn’t seen in years, very down to earth and very professional from start to finish. Since moving to Oahu I have had a hard time finding the right barber, we all know it’s hard. Found Vintage on “top Barbershop’s near me” on google and I wasn’t let down. Made an appointment with Charles K, and now he’s the only barber my family go’s to now. He even remembered me, and my nephew and our styles after 1 visit and not seeing him for about a month. This shops 10/10 🤙🏼 Clean, professional, kid friendly and sells good hair products in house.

Location features convenient street-side parking (metered) or lot parking across the street. When you walk in, there is a vintage feel with a separated waiting area. There are 6+ chairs and all of the barbers seemed exceptionally skilled. Xaviier was my barber. He is a Veteran, returned home to Kalihi. Very clean lines that shaped my face perfectly. He used a straight razor, clippers, and scissors to give me the best beard trim and haircut I've ever had. The pricing is definitely reasonable for the service provided. Xaviier just earned himself a customer for life. I highly recommend Vintage Barbershop to anyone looking to impress.

Xavier did a great job! He asked how I wanted my hair styled and did everything as promised. I have two “giddy giddys” (colics), which makes part of my hair stick out awkwardly. He cut and styled my hair to prevent that from happening. Xavier offered great suggestions to make my hair look great and was quick and to the point. He even recommended excellent hair products based on the look and shine that wanted. Overall, Xavier did an excellent job!

Rewind to a few years ago: I initially came to the barber shop because I needed a change in my hairstyle and a fresh new look. I’ve never been to any barber shops like Vintage in the past so this was a life-changing moment to be honest. I came out looking brand new, much younger and sophisticated looking. I still remember all my co-workers who complimented on my hairstyle back then and still doing so now (on ZOOM). Fast forward to the present: I have been going to barber, Aaron Fune for all my cuts. He’s been my go-to for all of my hair needs and I’m able to talk to him about my concerns openly. I think that’s what makes Vintage so special - you develop a personal connection to these barbers that they stop being your barbers and become your friends that you can talk to about anything. The experience each time has made it very worthwhile and I drive out from Ewa Beach to town for this experience. Great job, Vintage!

Charles Kaukeano has been my barber for about a year now. I can’t go to anyone else. He knows exactly what I like and even in quarantine he got his safety certification and never left me without a barber. High Skin Fades are a go to for me and they always come out fresh and clean. Awesome locally owned barbershop. Mainly popular with men, do great buzz cuts, line ups, parts, beards, etc. Most seem to have their regular hairstylist but I often call and take whose available and have never been disappointed. I'd recommend always calling ahead, not a walk in place, and cuts will run you about $36 before tip so while it's not the cheapest I think it's justified by knowing you'll always get a quality cut. Decent lineup of products, sports on TV and beer available. Parking is tough downtown but the municipal parking is about a two minute walk and is fairly cheap (maybe $1-2)

I have gotten my last 5 cuts from her, and she is nothing but exceptional. Sarah Rorie, is very skillful in what she does, and you can tell that this is something that she enjoys doing. My cuts have never been crooked, or a stray hair here and there. She makes sure that every customer gets her best. I'm a man of a certain age, and I've decided to grow out my beard - like a real Beard. I could probably grow a Santa's beard if I really wanted to go that far. But to get there "Gray Bailey" on the internet told me what I had to do, 1) grow out my beard way longer than I had ever had it before, and 2) have a beard stylist trim it and shepherd it until it grows out properly (about a year). At month three, I was SO ready for my first major trim - the one that would set the foundation for my beard. My research lead me to Mojo Barbershop. I asked for their best 'beard guy', and they hooked me up with Kaliq at their Bethel Street location. Two days later. When I walked in for my appointment, and I was so embarrassed to be seen on the street I wanted to walk in with a paper bag over my head. When I was introduced to Kaliq, my first words were "think of my beard as a block of marble, and you are Michaelangelo". We hit it off, discussed my goals and he came with his recommended plan of action. I put my trust in him knowing that some things (like this) are best left to professionals. And Kaliq was excellent. He gave me the whole treatment; beard trim, hair cut, and razor trim. Wow! I walked out of there a new man. The cut was great, the experience was great, the atmosphere is great - and I have a new partner on this beard project. 100% satisfied. Thanks Kaliq Rashad at Mojo Barbershop, on Bethel Street near the Hawaii Theatre. (Had a great lunch at a nearby restaurant too.)

I needed a haircut and made an appointment with Evan. I never know what to tell a barber. I’m an older guy with thin hair on top and a handlebar mustache. I told Evan he was the professional and to give me a look that was both contemporary and neat, but not ‘poserly’. The guy is amazing. He gently encouraged me to not do a tight shaved part. My stylist left island so I’ve been getting my cuts from numerous barbers/stylist or myself. As soon as I walked in, Evan introduced himself, very professional and genuine. Really like his energy and his attention to detail. His fades is fricken good!!! He ain’t no ordinary stylist. When I get a haircut, I want to leave feeling “fresh”.
