Are you looking for that old-time barbershop feel and look? As you walk through the door you're immediately greeted by Avetis and his staff and offered an espresso while you wait. Avetis is a fantastic classically trained Barber with a real passion for his trade. If you're looking for a new look, check out the Bristle and Blade Barber Shop.

Our two boys had their first haircut and the experience was superb. The two gentlemen were so kind, made the boys feel comfortable, they made if fun, the haircuts were great, and we appreciated their good spirits and professionalism. Best place for a haircut !!!

I've been going to Bristle and Blade for about a year. It's $36 for a haircut, cash only. I thought it was high at first, but the quality is noticeably better than cheaper places. You'll get friendly conversation and complimentary espresso or water. I've been pleased with both barber's, but Greg is my regular. I get a simple fade on the sides, trim on the top. They touch up the back of your neck and around your ears with warm shaving cream and razor. They're usually busy, so I don't believe they do walk in's. I recommend getting an appointment about a week in advance, as they're a popular spot. I highly recommend Bristle and Blade Barber Shop.

Been here 3 times since moving to the area and had a couple of different barbers. Both of them gave me a couple of the best haircuts I've ever had. As most of you know finding someone who cuts your hair consistantly great is not always easy to find but, I have found it. Highly recommend!

Great haircut (Danny Martin), nice classic barbershop atmosphere. I also recommend calling ahead. Google maps doesn't have the location just right it's actually across Mayflower in the plaza next to Tapas. Very good attention to detail on the cut, and razor'd up the neckline. Will definitely be back. Also, remember to bring cash (there's a Bank of America right across New Britain Ave if you need it).

I’ve been coming here for the last 8 months or so and I will not go anywhere else now. After trying numerous barbers, I have consistently got the best haircut here! The atmosphere is laid back and fun and the staff is so friendly. They are busy, so be sure to book in advance, but it’s always worth it!

Great atmosphere, incredibly friendly and talented barbers, free espresso. White glove service means prices are higher than SuperCuts, but it's worth it if you are not bald. Still, it's annoying that they only take cash.

I've gone here twice now, and the barbers are amazing. I recommend calling up beforehand, instead of walking in. Bristle and Blade offers a nice atmosphere and decent espresso as you walk in. This isn't a 15 minutes and you're done place - they really do pay attention to detail. A word of warning, its cash only.

Immaculate haircut. $28 for a haircut is a bit pricey so it won't be for standard cuts but the complimentary espresso was a nice touch. The owner was very friendly. I would definitely come back for a specialty cut.

I'm a dental resident in Farmington and I don't have the greatest head of hair in the world so I went around to a couple of different barbers in the area to see if I could find someone I liked. No one, and again I stress No One, cuts a head of hear like Agvitas at Bristle and Blade. My Fiancé loves the way it looks and the fade and clean cut that I get, and I think it's a great cut that I can wear into work. It's easy to make an appointment and I always get his full attention when I'm in there, and I never have to wait. He gives a fresh shave after the cut and he's a Great guy to talk to for the appointment. I've recommended him to several friends, I guarantee if you go once you'll never go anywhere else!

If you want the best cut in the Hartford county go see Avitigus. Some say $28 may be too pricey for a hair cut but I've been going to him for over 7 years and have never once gotten a bad haircut. If you want to go pay $10 for a hair cut expect to look like a dink.

If you want a $9 cut by some bimbo, go to a chain. Here you get an experienced barber who's interested in making you look your best. I've been to those other places. My wife won't let me go anywhere else. Enough said!
