Let’s start with the fact Carlos squeezed me in after hours, my first time ever coming there. Made me feel at home and gave me one of the dopest cuts I ever had. Left feeling clean and confident. Carlos makes you feel like family when you hit that chair. Carlos is the Michael Jordan of barbers in Grand Rapids. Don’t waste your time anywhere else.

i believe the barber who cleaned me up a few weeks back was named Carlos. dude is literally the best barber i’ve ever gone to. he gave me the absolute best bald fade i have ever gotten & i think that says something because i’ve been getting bald fades for about 3 years now. i wish i had found this shop sooner cause not only did he do an amazing job, but he also fit me in last minute & was the reason why i left feeling so much better about myself that day cause i was lookin hit fr. he also cared about the integrity of my scalp, as i have a minor issue with ingrown hairs as well as a dry scalp, & made it a point to take preventive measures to have my scalp looking & feeling better. they do an amazing job here & as someone who has a lot of social anxiety, they made me feel comfortable the whole time, like i wasnt watching the clock while he was shaving my head down. also, as someone who is feminine presenting, it can be uncomfortable/ intimidating going to new barbershops & i just really appreciated the familiarity & kindness they so freely give to you when you’re in their shop. i’ll definitely be back. :)

Best cut you’re gonna get in town. Anyone that works here is good. You quite literally can’t go wrong. I went in for a fade and ended up with a dope haircut with a lil signature flair that was exactly what I wanted and much more. Friendly, prompt and hard working. I drive 35 minutes out of my way on purpose to come to this place. Call ahead because the wait can be extensive, which is to be expected at a quality barber shop. They seem to specialize in men’s haircuts but I’ve seen plenty of women there too. Check this place out if you’re looking for a really special haircut.

I’m a new foster parent and came into today with my new 11 year old son for a haircut. This was my first experience taking a boy to get his haircut and I called around local shops in my area. Carlos was the first barber to answer my call and when I asked about walk ins he told me to come right in and he’d take care of us. And it was the best decision I made! Carlos gave my son an amazing cut as well as being patient, kind, and took his time to make sure everything was clean and tight. The look on my son’s face said it all once he got out of the chair. I swear his confidence skyrocketed 100%. We will definitely be back. Thank you Carlos for taking the time and doing such a great job!
