Steve is an amazing barber who truly values his customers. The environment that he sets up in the Exec Room is very clean and welcoming. Steve gives customers his full undivided attention when getting a haircut. He truly respects your times so you know every time that when you book an appointment you will have a great experience. Last year when I moved to the downtown area I was in need of a barber and stumbled upon the Exec Room by reading plenty of great Google reviews about Steve. So, I decided to book an appointment and never looked back. Fast forward a year later and I happened to move north of Chicago, but I still go to Steve because the quality of work that he provides is unmatched.

I met My now little brother, Steve in 2020, months after I cut off all of my hair and decided to go natural. Prior to cutting my hair, I watched Steve work for about 2 years as his shop is across the hall from my previous stylist. I was impressed by his skill, professionalism and how well he maintained his shop. I walked in a client and came out family! At first glance you would think he is not friendly or approachable when in fact he is nice, warm, caring and intelligent. He knows his craft and has done a great job taking care of my hair. He is focused and determined to be the best in the game and I know he will get there. He prides himself on creating an exclusive environment for his clients. He is timely and doesn’t keep you waiting. He understands both his time and your time are equally important. He doesn’t have a lot of female clients but I assure you he knows what he is doing for the ladies and will not let you do anything crazy. He gets to know you therefore he is able to make sound recommendations. Please give Steve a chance, you will not be disappointed.

Steve is hands down the best barber in the city. I’ve explored the city’s barbers for the last 15 years and he has it all. First, he ensures a safe, sterile, friendly and professional working environment. Second, and most importantly, he provides an incredible haircut. Not only does he listen to what you would like, he delivers 110% in the final product. I enjoy the conversations and insight. If you’re looking for just a great cut, there a few spots you can try. If you’re looking for the best haircut, stimulating conversation, professionalism, respect, and the c-suite level service, you have to see Steve. Steve is a true expert and professional. If you respect your time he is the barber for you. I've been to barbers who are talented in the past, but he's the rare combination of talent and professionalism that I require. When I make an appointment, I know it's written in stone. He doesn't even answer his phone while he's cutting your hair. I have his full undivided attention which ALWAYS results in the best quality haircuts I've ever had. He's also EXTREMELY safety conscious which I appreciate. He had COVID safety certificates and a protocol to ensure both parties are protected. That's invaluable nowadays. Finally, the atmosphere and conversation is very chill. He can discuss any topic you bring up or he can not say a word if that's how I'm feeling that day. Steve has been providing me a clean and well manicured shave for the last 4 years. This is time frame I've had a full beard. Steve was also my 3 year old son's first barber. Cutting a toddler's hair is not easy but Steve makes it look like it is. Most barbers when providing a razor shave will shape the beard first with clippers followed by shaping it with the straight razor. Steve has the ability to shape your beard without using clippers. What I like most is his scheduling ability. Steve knows how long each service will take and schedules tour service properly. This allows you to avoid sitting in the barbershop waiting forever.

Steve is an excellent barber who is truly considerate to his clientele. It’s the tome old pet peeve of barbers answering phones or engaging on other conversations, but not with Steve. The only person he thinks about is the person on the chair, as a matter of fact a guest can’t to speak with him and he didn’t adress him until after my cut was done. We had an intellectual conversation throughout but he’s willing to talk about anything you care about, or even just sitting in silence.
