Great setup. Bathrooms are clean. Servers were very nice, but then again I had table service. Music was good however even if you tip the DJ well ($30), he will not play your requested song. We waited in the barbershop section while they setup our booth.

Definitely a cool spot to check out. We came here during my bachelor party trip. You walk in and it’s a barbershop with a red light bar in the back. We tried getting in the night before but was told it was too packed so we went the night after. The drinks are good, it’s very trendy and modern inside with a red light glow. This place got packed as the night progresses I’m talking elbow to elbow, they start moving furniture as it gets later. The Dj was really awesome and knew how to work the crowd.

Coolest spot in Chicago, this secret bar was truly "secret." Never got too busy to lose its ambiance. I recommend coming around the time it opens (5pm). I felt like I was in a bar in Fall Out New Vegas!

Great service and the vibe is very chill. I think this barber brings back the classic experience of community associated with barbershops that some places are lacking. The staff are all down to earth very nice and engaging. Notably the bar also hosts cool events and they make some great cocktails. I’d recommend this barber if you have a genuine interest in getting to know folks while also getting a clean cut at an affordable price.

Definitely a do it once for the experience sort of thing. Blind Barber is a speakeasy literally behind a barber shop on Fulton Market. It's a vibe that gets going as the night turns to morning, but at that point you're waiting in a long line for something that isn't really worth it. The service is great, really friendly and attentive bartenders and servers. The cocktails are average at best, especially with so many other great options nearby. A little watered down and one note, nothing memorable at all. Glad we got to see what it was all about, but unless I'm somehow single and 22 again, I can't see making a return trip.

First things first...I never knew they had food here...I wonder if I'm missing out? I have experienced the drinks and the atmosphere. I love taking people here that are from out of town to introduce them to the speakeasy experience. There is ABSOLUTELY no parking in the area at night, so don't even put yourself through that. The music and crowd is somewhat diverse. It seems like a tourist destination, but people come here to dance, sip cocktails, and have fun. This is not the place for fancy cocktails...get your usual.

I scheduled a haircut for my husband same day and Lisa did an amazing job. My husband is low maintenence with his hair but she did a phenomenal job cleaning him up. I don't doubt my husband will want to come back for another cut.

Cool swanky bar in the back of a barber shop. Cool concept, staff is friendly and the vibe is cool on a Wednesday, although I think if it was a Friday or Saturday it wouldn't be much fun. The bar is small and there is limited seating. I definitely will return on an off night.

Had a great experience here! I think you either need to know someone or have a reservation, idk, I was with a group. I loved that the DJ played all kinds of music and people were actually dancing! It was such a good vibe. While I was amongst the "regulars" on the floor, I'm really curious about how the people who were in the sections managed to get up and down and move about the crowd because the seating is pretty low. No cover here. Couldn't tell you about drinks because it was impossible to get to the bar. Drink before you show up and have a great time.

The definition of cool! What is better than walking into a working barber shop and then stepping past that into a speakeasy? The crowd was easy, the vibe was like a really hip version of your grandpa’s basement and the drinks were fantastic. I highly recommend you try ‘Strawberry Field’.

Fantastic music and such an interesting idea. Walking by this place during the day you'd never know that there was a bar hidden behind the people getting their haircut. Dance floor is a little crammed but a fun time a vibe all around. If I get there to try the food I will update my review but it looks delicious.

Cool concept! Stepping into the bar does feel like a time travel trip. They do check proof of vaccination at the entrance. The ambience's great, although it can get a bit crowded so not much space to dance. Drinks are a bit expensive for what they are, but overall it's a good experience

Street parking 4.75/hr, free street midnight for my driver's. If you come earlier spothero has spots for $7 all night. Inside the scene isn't too far from a dive bar, dim lighting, and party space about the size of a hs basement party. Place can get packed fast just by it being so small. They don't have true tables so don't waste your money on that if offered. Mixed drinks come in skinny cups about half the size you'd see at college dining halls, in those same cups. Personally ordered 2 high noon cans and a shot of tequila for $42; 20% gratuity is automatically included in your total though. Service could be faster considering the pricing and location. The crowd is about mid 20s and the djs know how to read the crowd. Music realistically stops just under 30m before closing. Keep conversation with security brief they will instigate a situation for some action. Decent spot for something lowkey during the weekday

Wow! What a cool spot! The drinks here are ace & the ambiance/decor is retro & vintage. Staff was very friendly to our group that was there for a birthday. It starts to get crowded here after 10pm on the weekends. If you’re looking for a chill, cool place to start your night - start here. If you’re looking to dance & party later in your night - finish here. I’d definitely come back!

Overall; interesting to locate, good drinks, helpful staff and intriguing atmosphere. Love the concept of a working barber shop and a hidden speakeasy club in the back. Funny how some reviews are for the barber services and some for the bar in back. Was not expecting the dance floor. A popular place, it was a full house with a diverse crowd and not much room to move. Not many places to sit, either, besides the overcrowded bar. This was bummer because we wanted to swing by for a drink and a maybe bite but you can't really do that with no where to sit.

Tho I didn't use the "Barber" side the Bar side was cool, vampire dark (my favorite), and fun! They didn't have any yum yums aka snacks that was a bummer but not enough not to receive 5 stars. We have to be kind to the ppl who has shown up. 1 thing tho, I had a taste for a Long Island Iced Tea, child IDK what they gave me LOL! They made it with Sweet n sour *GROSS* I know we live in a mixologist age however, being able to make a good Long Island...being a bartender is needed too.

Looks like people rating the bar which I can't speak to, but as for the actual barbershop- they are fantastic. I was in between barbers for a while before I remembered having gone to the bar (and had a great time) and decided to check out the barber shop. I have not been disappointed one bit. The atmosphere is super chill but fun, the staff is professional and easy to talk to, and there was nothing that seemed unsafe of irresponsible in regards to covid. I am a guy with wavy/curly hair that many professionals can easily botch, but my guy Herson has done amazing since the first time I sat in his chair.

Absolutely amazing place to go if you want some low key vibes and a dark place for your date not to notice your acne. Drinks were stOOpid expensive - $11 for a rail mix. Is it worth it for the clout? That’s up to you. I didn’t give 5 stars because they were playing bangers but no one was dancing.

Sssssh don't tell anyone how great the cocktails are......... If you go after 9pm be prepared to queue to get in. It gets really busy. The buzz is great. The bar staff are really knowledgeable. The drinks are great. The atmosphere is 'intoxicating' (pardon the pun). The Blind Barber is fun. A must if you're in Fulton Market. Well worth the trip is you're not. Highly recommended.

It was a little weird to me, so many different vibes in the is small space. It was like a melting pot of every type of person in Chicago you could imagine. If you're looking for a very diverse crowd, I'd def suggest this place for you. The music was good though, I didn't buy anything to drink.

It pains me to rate this place a 3 because I really wanted to like this barbershop. The Barber Shop: The space is nice and they use $400 Dyson hairdryers during your service. Sadly they are giving out cookie cutter plain men's haircuts. I was in the chair for about 30 minutes. I saw about 5-7 haircuts leave the barber, each one more plain than the last. Apparently, I chose the barber that was not into any conversation. I like a little conversation with my haircut, but this session had zero. The cut is $45. If this were a good haircut, then that price would be GREAT. However, the cut you will get here is run of the mill. They do give a 20% discount for your first haircut, so if you still want to try this place...give it a shot. With each haircut, they also give you a drink ticket for the speakeasy type bar that is secretly located behind a door that looks like an entrance to a stock room. The drink ticket is worth $13, so that is a great value. The speakeasy in the back: Love this place! First off, you'll need to walk through a door that looks like you are walking into their stock room. At first it feels uncomfortable, but you get use to it. The drinks are unique, the crowd is mixed, and the bartenders are artisans. If you want an interesting drink and a new experience this place is perfect. $13 a drink isn't my favorite price point, but the bartenders actually put effort into making the drinks. Even the way they make the drink is pretty interesting. Bottomline: If you don't care too much about your hair, then get it cut here. If you like interesting cocktails, then definitely go here.

A great speakeasy in west loop. Not many people know about it so far.. The crowd is decent too for a bar. Once you walk inside the barber shop make sure to get their drink.. Its one of the few good cocktails I have tried. A must visit for West loop area locals and travelers alike :-)

I've been for the bar and the barber. Bar has cool music and interesting speakeasy 70's funky basement party vibes. Interesting drink menu. Barber shop is clean and chill. Solid tunes upstairs as well. Rhea gave me a good hair cut and beard trim. Didn't have to give her much direction and she gave me a fresh look, I was very happy with it. A little bit pricey but worth it if you need to look good.

We've also visited the bar portion several times and it has a very fun vibe. The drinks are really yummy and the space is comfortable and inviting for everyone. The idea of this speakeasy is cool. However, the night that went was my firstime there, and when I entered the Barbershop, which is an actual functioning barber shop by day, I asked were the blind barber was, and the gentleman there seemed annoyed that I was asking. Once in, the decor was cool and the space had a good vibe. We had an inattentive waiter who literally disappeared for about 30mins--his coworkers couldn't even find him... AND we couldn't order any food because the chef was on vacation. REALLY? There's only one chef? And most of the menu was grilled cheese sandwiches. They couldn't find another capable cook in the city to make that. It wasn't a bad experience, but I'm not really inclined to go back. The music was great and it really started to get packed around 8:30, so clearly it's a crowd favorite. My slightly off impression may have been an anomaly.

This place is an awesome little hideaway in the Fulton Market area. Barber shop by day, cocktail lounge by night. The lounge has a retro vibe with mid century modern furniture and brick walls with soft lighting that set the scene for any low-key hangout. Cocktails are on point and the small plates are killer. Great for: start or end of your night, impress a date, meet up with friends, or enjoying one of their party nights.

Best cut I’ve had ever. Also had a beard trim was also the best I’ve had. I worked with Tim and didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do with my cut, but gave some general thoughts - turned out awesome. During trim (my beard is closer to stable), Tim gave me pointers for everyday upkeep. Great experience 10/10 would recommend.

Go early to avoid the line. Just walk through the barbershop to the door on the right and marvel at the lovely speakeasy-styled bar behind. The drinks were very good and later at night they get a DJ and the space cranks up. Really nice speakeasy experience without the pretension.

Sure, Fulton Market is for eating fancy food and drinking fancy drinks (and working at Google, if that's your thing). But it's alllllllllso is for getting your hair did. Well, if you're a dude. I mean, it's entirely possible women can get their hair cut here. But I've only seen guys. They also do beard trims. Also, probably, for dudes. There's a "secret" bar through the barber shop, but I've only ever walked through there to use the bathroom. With my 3-year-old. Who doesn't drink... wine. So all I can tell you is that it exists, and people have gone there while I watched from the chair. Speaking of the chair, I owe my head's happiness to Rhea. She can handle my cowlick, the weird bulges above my ears, the way my hair desperately wants to flop like a wave over my forehead... ultimately making me look good enough to actually get into the secret bar I've never been to except for pee-related activities. Oh, and my kids get their hair cut with Rhea too. I don't just drag them out to watch me get mine done. Anyway... top things to remember: great haircut, Rhea, secret bar with a bathroom. Get an appointment!

I know Blind Barber from NYC's Lower East Side location. The Chicago version is similarly stylish. It's a small space in the back of a barber shop. Cocktails are clean and refined, and theres a small menu with grilled cheese and small plates. There are a few tables around the perimeter of the dance area. Staff was very nice and accommodating for a large group of us.
