I was recommended by the Courtyard Marriot Hotel staff members while I was traveling for work. I cannot stress enough the professionalism, cleanliness, on-time appointment, and friendly environment. I noticed that all three barbers were engaged with their clients but also recognized who else was walking in and out of the shop. Haley, Calvin and Steve, the owner were great. Haley is a young barber who has found her niche, social and pleasant. Calvin, while not my barber, was engaged with his clients and made personal connections. Steve, the man, is the present owner. He was engaged, social and met my needs. He knew what I wanted and needed the moment I sat in his chair! He made sure I was 100% satisfied with being from out of town and needing to look me best. Let’s be honest, I get my hair cut and lined up every 7 - 10 days with my own barber so being home away from home, it was a great out of town experience! Will definitely be back next time I’m traveling!

I must say Steve has the magic hands that any barber could hope to be blessed with. I called up last minute explaining I went a little crazy with my clippers… like bald spots crazy. Honestly I kind of doubted that anyone would have the ability to make what I had butchered look purposeful. Boy was I wrong! After promising to lower my panicked energy I headed over with a cap on. When he was done with me I was thrilled to toss my ball cap in my backpack. I would absolutely recommend Lux to anyone and everyone. Very professional as well as personable. I am going to try and take a couple pics though am hesitant as my sloppy selfies would not even begin to give justice to his art!!!

I went to get my long hair chopped off as it was getting to be too much to deal with and I wanted something low maintenance. Booking online was a breeze and I got my hair done with Calvin, a very nice and young stylist. I have a high hairline and it's beginning to creep back, but he was awesome about keeping me confident and I gladly let him handle most of the decision making because I wasn't really sure what I wanted. I came away super happy with my haircut and I'm feeling much better about the hairline now in large part thanks to him! I will definitely be going there from now on!

Living in Temecula, finding a good barber has always been difficult. Larry is the best barber anyone could ever ask for. His attention to detail is amazing. I would love to tell you this place sucks because it is not always easy to get an appointment and don't really need any more people going. But...it is a nice place, good haircuts, great staff with great conversation (even if Calvin hasn't seen "The Breakfast Club"). And you can even have a bud light while you wait/get your haircut. And beware of the friendly guard dog, she may come out to see what is going on from time to time.

I just got married and worked with Steve over the last two months to perfect the look I wanted for the big day. Steve was thoughtful and insightful with his recommendations, pointing out different perspectives and making recommendations that took the wedding into account. (ie. most photos were of the back of my head, so having a sharp lineup is more important than normal). The day before I came in for my final cut and brought all of my groomsmen. We all got fresh cuts, with the same care and consideration that I'd come to expect from Steve. He was friendly, inviting and cheerful during the entire time we were there. With everything else that was going on the day before the wedding, this was one thing I didn't have to worry about. Steve was able to make the entire group look great and having just seen the photos, I know my trust was well placed. I wholeheartedly recommend Steve and his team for your next haircut.

Other places in the area claim to bring back the old school barber club but LUX actually delivers. Steve and his wife outdid themselves. They turned their dream into a reality and transformed one of Burlington's oldest buildings into a top notch barbershop. Steve, who owns the shop, has an appreciation for tradition establishments and services and wants to share that with others. He believes that a barbershop is a place to bring communities together and that's how he makes you feel. Like you belong. The atmosphere is great, everyone goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and you can even have a beer during your haircut. The place looks amazing but what makes is special is that their prices really connect with the neighborhood. I would have paid more and historically I have but this place is about making sure everyone in Burlington can experience the LUX service. Not something other businesses consider. I've been seeing Steve for a while now and have NEVER had a bad haircut. He takes his time and we have great conversations. If your looking for a awesome haircut go see the guys at Lux!

I went to this shop to get my undercut shaped up, and as soon as I walked in I felt very welcome. Barber shops are typically known for men's hair cuts, but the times have changed and Lux barber shop is clearly all about it! Not only did I recieve a fresh cut that exceeded anyone I've gone to in the past - the environment was neutral, the team clearly is passionate about what they do and I didn't feel weird walking in as a female asking for a shape up..... That's what they call "A1!"

I spent almost a year growing a beard twice only to have it badly butchered by so called professionals both times. I then researched Steve at Lux who had a good following with us bearded folks. I expressed my concern via Facebook and much to my surprise he corresponded with me offering a visit to talk and look things over. I made the appointment and again Steve surprised me by remembering things I mentioned and he spent lots of time just listening and offering advice. Long story short, I left with the best line up and trim I've ever had! And as an extra bonus, Steves a real nice guy with a great sense of humor. I immediately felt at ease after riding a tense hour to get to the Lux shop. Went in with nerves that were shot and a half butchered second beard and came out relaxed with a good looking well trimmed beard. Highly recommend Steve for any true beardsmen! .

I’ve been coming here for 2 years now, weekly and I can confidently say one of the best barbershop’s I’ve been in. My barber is Calvin and the services he provides are 10/10. He does perfect fades, line up, scissor work, etc. place is always super clean and environment is super friendly. The other barbers are also very very good. Highly recommend coming here if your hair needs some saving.
