MIKE IS THE MAN!! My friend got his hair trashed from a hair salon and walking in to this shop was the best decision we could’ve made. My friend and I were astonished at how great his hair looked after Mike was done with the cut. Later, Mike was explaining to us how he cuts and treats the layers of hair. You could tell he was really passionate about his craft. •11/10 experience •would definitely recommend to a friend in need of a great cut

I brought my nephew here and Mike Caf was his barber and mike was amazing! He is very talented and knowledgeable! My nephew doesn’t like getting a haircut but Mike made him feel comfortable and he was very patient! Mike Coronella is the ONLY barber that i trust in Boston. I've been getting my hair cut from him for 12 years. I have curly and wavy hair and his cut always makes me look like a million bucks by building in layers and volume into my hair. If he leaves Z, I'll go to him. This was my first haircut after moving to Boston and hands down my favorite barbershop I've been to. I've never had a barber take the time to sit down across from me to figure out what hairstyle would look best for me. Mike knows what he's doing. Cool guy to talk to and gave me the best looking haircut I've ever had plus a lot of tips on how to style/take care of my hair. Definitely the only place I'll be going in Boston. Update: Mike took some barber classes in London recently. I think he’s cut my hair 4 or 5 times since getting back. The compliments can be exhausting so if you don’t like random people stopping you on the street to ask who cuts your hair you should probably go somewhere else, but if you’re okay with multiple conversations a day with strangers about your hair then he’s your guy.

Mike is the best barber I have ever had! He is clearly very experienced and able to cut my hair quickly and confidently – which translates into the haircut. I used to hate getting my haircut. I would go to barbers and ask for a style and they would cut it, but it wouldn’t look good on me. Mike was able to explain why the style I wanted wouldn’t actually work for my face type and was able to suggest a modified cut that gave me the style I wanted, but that would work for my face. Mike also was able to suggest a care routine that keeps my hair feeling and looking great. Update: Michael just got back from a London barber school—new skills are incredible. Been going to Mike for years now. This is a great shop overall, comfortable, and quality work. If your mother used to cut your hair and when you outgrew that you looked for whatever $18 haircut you could find, this is the step you know you need to take. Also, if you are still getting line-ups but wish you knew someone who knew how to use scissors, this is a good look.

Ziad runs a fine shop. Clean, kid-friendly, and a quality gentleman's haircut service. Come for the sharp edges and clean looks. Stay for the hot lather straight razor neck hair cleanup. Stay longer for the blow dryer / head massage that left me feeling downright zen-like. There's a big old light up car with a seat belt for kids to "ride" in. My boy hasn't warmed up to haircuts yet, but Ziad totally let him chill in while I was under the scissors. It meant a lot to me. Call ahead for a kids appointment. He also has a bunch of awesome TVs, juice boxes, lollipops...

Today Mike saved my life. I went to Supercuts yesterday and was (to say the least) extremely disappointed. After complaining all day today, my friend recommended we go to Z Barbershop. We showed up 30 minutes before closing time and I was given a full breakdown on what needed to happen to my hair and what was going to happen. I recently started going here because my barber - Mike Coronella, master barber - starting cutting here - and I have found my new barbershop. The owner is so friendly, has great taste in music and, importantly (because I’ve just starting bringing my little boy in for cuts), always has a lollipop for the kids. Mike jokes that before I started coming to him I had to take anti-anxiety meds before getting a haircut. No longer. When I booked I was a bit suspicious of the 5.0 rating with 80 reviews, but I needed a cut before an interview. Ziad was able to get me in, knew exactly what I wanted when I said it, and proceeded to get to work. Normally I get concerned if a cut is quick, simply because I've had too many experiences where the barber misses a spot, but Ziad gave the perfect cut. Mike Coronella is the ONLY barber that i trust in Boston. I've been getting my hair cut from him for 12 years. I have curly and wavy hair and his cut always makes me look like a million bucks by building in layers and volume into my hair. If he leaves Z, I'll go to him. He loves giving a scissor cut which in my view is a dying art. Now my son, who recently went to college also wont get his hair cut from anyone else. Mike cut my hair and did a good job, as usual. I also had him trim my beard. I was very happy with the results. I don't often let anyone trim my beard, but Mike did a great job on it, giving it some shape and contour, while leaving most of the length. Mike is great to talk to, too. A good haircut needs to include good conversation, at least for me. A barber is like a bartender, but you can see one in the morning without getting funny looks.
