Recently moved to the Birmingham area and have been looking for a new barbershop. Single Barrel came up on quick Google search and looked awesome so I tried to book, and quickly found out just how good they were based on their reviews and booked out calendar. Joey Folker was my barber, and did an amazing job getting my beard shaped up and doing a super clean fade (best I've had in years). Shop is super nice, good vibes, and had great conversation during the process. Will be back for sure 👍

My husband went in here and said it was wonderful. He was very happy with The atmosphere and the guys and the whole place in general. I think his haircut was very feminine though. He is too nice to go back and ask him to fix little things here and there which I understand and in all honesty I wasn't there.

Great haircut, friendly staff. Luis was quick but thorough and I'm quite happy after awhile of looking for around. Clean shop in a nice area. It was cash or check only. They have an ATM there or I was invited to leave and come back if I preferred to go to my bank. Appreciate the simple gesture of trust that demonstrates.

After seeing the same person for a haircut for 5 years, I spent several months finding a place when I moved to Birmingham and I think Single Barrel is it. Luis did a fantastic job, and the entire place was clean, friendly, and professional. And, my haircut and beard trim were half the cost of anywhere else I’ve been. I particularly appreciated that they don’t do “cookie cutter” haircuts - everywhere else I’ve tried was either astronomically expensive, or they seemed to have one style that they did well and couldn’t deviate from that well. The only thing to be aware of before going is they are cash-only, so visit an ATM (or use the one on-site) beforehand. I’ll definitely be back!

This isn't a Barbershop that gets you in and out! They take the time to make sure their customers are looking their Best when they walk out of their door! First time visitor here: my experience was EXACTLY RIGHT. I noted some of the negative reviews, and I’ve gotta say some people need to get out more. Yes, you need an appointment. Most hair places worth visiting have talented and professional staff, and as a result there’s a demand for their services. Thus scheduling is a given and important factor of the business. And if you no-show a professional, they absolutely can refuse service next time and deserve to be compensated for the lost time. Again, professionalism. I expect this, and the negative reviews are not remotely merited in my opinion. Luis was my barber, and he was excellent. I have two difficult cowlicks that he managed them with ease. Nice conversation, pleasant environment, decent price (cash only, but atm on site FYI), and very timely. I’ll probably return very soon to try out a shave too!

They got me into a chair as a walk-in with 15 minutes and made me look amazing. Chris did a great job and was very nice. I got at least 10 compliments in the next 24 hours on my new hair cut. Now this is where the only place I will get a cut and beard trim. My sons also love getting their hair cut here.

Five star service and five star folks! Give them a try. Side note: Guys like me who shave their head but still like to have a nice beard trim, it can be intimidating to walk into a barber shop, not here! In fact, they’ll do a straight razor head shave for you if you want and do a great job on it! I see Chris and he always does great work and is a great guy, go see him or any of the guys and they’ll take care of you. Booking online is easy, you won’t regret giving these guys a shot!

Customer service and quality of haircut were five star. As a first-time customer, I found it very frustrating that pricing on the website does not match the more expensive pricing at the register. I was only aware that this business was cash only, when I overheard another customer had also overlooked the "cash only" sign on the back counter of the front desk. Website pricing needs to be updated and company should be more transparent of their cash only policy.

Best shop for men's hair cuts. This is more like the barber shop you remember as a kid, super friendly and easy going. Children seem to love it here as much as adults. If you want to change your style these guys will help find it and maintain your look for the best you. If you see a well groomed man he probably comes to Single Barrel.

Huge shout out to my buddy Matt Folker at his new shop in SoHo- Single Barrel Barbershop. Decided to do the no-shave November thing. Wanted to look a bit more presentable for the holidays. Matt did a straight razor shave on me. Face feels great!!! The steaming hot towels will have you practically asleep in the chair!! Women go to the nail salon as their guilty pleasure.
