Platinum Plus Unisex is the PERFECT name for this place. So I walked in , “greeted by the owner “ 1st level 4 barbers , level 2 1 barber and level 3 , than the Queen , co - owner who greeted me with her Loving , I gotcha cha , white teeth smile with a “Hey Beautiful “ . I was like YESS . So this was my 4th visit . I watched “ Monique “ , created all kinds of styles “ buns , weaves , silk press, color , quick weaves , she actually uses rice water , and great hair products . And guess what else she sells food you guys . I am really impressed with the diversity of clients , the two teenagers she has , DIVA’s in training , AND They are a Husband and Wife TEAM. Oh ladies she is reasonable , and she takes care of your hair .

Eastside Maryjane (Eastside Maryjane)

Normally I take my son to a barber we go to often but they were closed and we had a short amount of time on a Sunday to accomplish our goal. This shop was open, close to where we were at the time and not crowded at all. I waited outside for my son to finish for about 30 minutes and this is what he walked out with. My son was happy with his water waves, and I was surprised, made me do a double take.

Today was my first visit with my 2 year old and 5 year old sons. My 2 year old was very apprehensive but Darren took his time to gain his trust and make him feel comfortable. He cut his hair in the waiting area chair while eating chips because he was scared to sit in barber chair lol. My 5 year old was a first timer and loved his hair cut. Darren took his time and gave him the design he wanted. I really appreciate it. I will be a regular going forward.

Had Darren take care of me and he exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond to satisfy my needs. Haven’t had a cut this good in a Loooong time. I love this place. Monique is an awesome person with a heart of gold. She’s also an exceptional stylist. It’s a one stop shop I come to get my hair styled (Monique)and I get my sides and back cut by (Darren). They also sell cooked food which is really good. It’s the barbershop downstairs and the salon upstairs. If you’re looking for great place to get your hair cut or styled this is the place to come. Good people, good service, good food and great atmosphere. You can’t go wrong. Check them out

Got a haircut a month ago that made me think I’d never get another cut in the city, but this morning I went to platinum plus and met Darren in the front chair and he changed my whole mentality around. Was able to fix all the issues the last barber made and gave me the freshest fade I’ve ever had. Will definitely back, I suggest you check them out.

Platinum Plus Barber Shop is by far one of the best places to get a hair cut. I say that not only because the atmosphere is enjoyable and look amazing everytime I leave there but because it's so much more than just a barber. What I mean by that is the owners Monique and Blake don't show up here everyday just for profit. They actually use the proceeds to support the community. Every year they host several community events. For instances every summer they host a back to school event where the families in the community can come together, share some laughs, eat some good food, enjoy some hyped entertainment, and get enough school supplies to start the kids off for school. They also host a Thanksgiving Day feast for the community and a Christmas give back every single year. So if you're looking for a barber shop with a chilled atmosphere, great customer service, and a real community presence and purpose then Platinum Plus Unisex Barber Shop is you place.
