My son and I came in the shop to get a haircut by Kevin west. He did a phenomenal job and my wife really loved my son's hair as well an mine. Kevin does a fantastic job every time I see him. He is an amazing stylist and I highly suggest getting your haircut with him. He completely understood what I had wanted in mind and executed it exactly as I had described. The shop had a really great atmosphere and I definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking to get their hair cut in Atlanta. Excellent job, Kevin. Well done.

This location is great. Everyone is hardworking and the haircuts are amazing. Kevin has cut my hair twice and he doesn't disappoint. One thing I noticed about Kevin's style of cutting is how it grows back. I get a skin fade and he does it in a way that when it grows back it's not everywhere! It's hard to find a good barber, so I was slightly skeptical lol. But Jenny was amazing! I’ve been getting my hair cut by Kevin for years now. The cuts are always good, and as a regular they’re very consistent from visit to visit which I like. I’ve had haircuts from other barbers there when Kevin has been out of town, and I can tell you he only hires the best. My favorite part about getting haircuts here is the straight razor finish on the back of the neck!

My husband just got the best haircut of his life. We are from out of town and happened upon this Atlanta institution while looking to get him a hair cut. They were booked for walk ins, so we made an appointment for this morning. The people who work there are very professional, and helpful. The shop is clean, Covid safety measures are on point! The shop is really cool, it’s an upscale barbershop that is perfect for the guy who really wants to look up to date, and well groomed. You are paying salon prices- not the typical cheapo barbershop prices, in men’s haircuts, you often get what you pay for. The prices are affordable, and very fair for the beautiful work they do! My hubby’s hair is difficult to cut well. I told Brandy (I think) how it is usually cut, and she really went beyond, and his hair looks fantastic! The only negative is that we live 5 hours away and we can’t use them regularly! Next time we’re in Atlanta, we will certain be back! Thanks for helping my husband feel like himself again!

Kevin is meticulous in keeping his clients safe and the environment in which he works. Upon arrival he checks your temperature and sanitizes your hands and the chair you will be sitting in. You get a fresh smock. Kevin is wearing a mask and gloves, and sanitizes his combs, scissors and clippers. As always, the haircut, conversation and music were top shelf. The barber took his time (though he was working furiously the entire time), and gave me the best haircut I've ever had. The $25 was well worth it considering the cheaper places are usually a coin toss whether my hair will look presentable. Great haircut for a great price. For those of you who have read Kevin Duffy's negative review below, do not put much weight on it. I had the same negative experience as he did with the beautiful blonde girl deciding on her own to give me a buzz cut. However, she is long gone. I now have my hair cut by the owner (Also named Kevin) and he does a great job. The other barbers there seem competent as well.

Kevin did a great job. With new guidelines in place due to Corona, all was handled very professionally and I was well taken care of. My temp was taken before entering and I was given hand sanitizer along with a mask. Great haircut was given.

I went in hesitant, but I came out with a new barbershop. Super swanky inside, but good lord it was hot. It wasn’t even a cold day! Luckily my barber noticed and turned off the heater. My cut was great, I kept the fade a bit longer than usual cuz I didn’t know the barber, but she did a great job. Next time I go, I’ll get a tighter fade because I know I can trust them. The only downside was the heat, overall the staff and service was fantastic. Great edition to the neighborhood!

I'd encourage everyone to give them a shot but to make an appointment instead of just showing up. I've had luck as a walk-in, but I've also watched people wait a long time if they walk in when all barbers are booked.

Impressed with the presence and use of Temperature testing, masks, on both the barbers and clients, sanitizers, gloves and limiting in-store presence to active customers in the chairs. I saw Kevin answer his cell phone at one point and he removed a glove. When he finished the call, he removed and disposed of both gloves and put on a fresh pair before resuming the haircut he was doing. Very aware. My only suggestion would be a bit less talking/conversation until the need for masks goes away. Talking in close quarters could spread any virus in still asymptomatic barbers or clients. Great cut and value. Easy online reservation system.

I moved to Atlanta a little over a year ago, and struggled at first to find a barbershop and a barber that I could keep coming back to. After an appointment with Chrissy at West Barber Shop I stopped searching. The shop itself is great, conveniently located, a chill waiting area (I suggest booking online although walk ins welcome), and during these unique times West has met the challenge by taking strict protection measures to keep staff and customers safe. They keep the space very clean. They take your temperature and offer hand sanitizer before sitting at the chair. They provide new, single use chair cloths for each person. They wear gloves and masks the entire time. They manage to work around your own mask, which stays on the whole visit. And they sanitize their tools and surfaces between each appointment. I really can't think of a better list of policies and procedures. As for the barbers, I've heard consistently good things about everyone there, but I first booked with Chrissy and she does such a great job every time that as long as she's available I'll book with her no question. And even if she isn't, I'm happy to wait it out. Chrissy has already given me the best hair cuts I've ever had, and now she still manages to do as great a job while having to work around my mask. That's crazy. She also does *amazing* work on trims and line ups, but of course because of the situation with COVID, beard stuff is on hold. She instead offered a lot of useful tips for me to keep it in check on my own, because she's cool like that. An easy 5 stars. Worth more than the time and money.

Best haircut I've ever had, made an appointment online for David West, nice facility, got exactly the haircut I wanted and needed. He fixed the errors from my last barber shop. A lot of attention to detail. Used different techniques including cutting the extra hair fuzz on top with a razor and sing texturizing scissors. Very impressed and 25$ for a professional hair stylist level haircut, worth more than that. Totally worth it.

Since opening back up, West Barber Shop has implemented a lot of measures to make customers feel safe. I was asked to wait outside until it was my appointment time. After I was allowed in, my temperature was taken with a no-contact thermometer and my hands were sanitized. I was also provided a mask since I had not brought one with me. Kevin wore gloves and a mask throughout the entire process. I felt secure and have no reservations about going back.

I got my first hair cut at this barbershop last week, and honestly, my expectations have been blown away! Kevin was out, and in his place was a very skilled stylist whom gave me the first haircut that people have noticed, for the better, and I've received more complements this week about my haircut than the past 10 years combined! I'm embarrassed that I didn't remember his name, and that is not fair to him, as he cuts a guys noggin' like it should be. He's a DC transplant, and now that I've received so many compliments, I trust his statement that he has cut hair for decades. Honestly? Most times when I go into a shop, I have a picture, and they do their best to recreate. Most times, the end result is close, but not perfect. This time, I presented a pic of what I thought it should be, and this guy took it to the next level. Sure, it was initially interesting... Not quite what I expected.... Totally in the same ball-park as my pic or what I'm used to, but now with an edge, a swagger, and a style that brought out my best facial attributes. I'll be back, month after month in attempts to recreate the magic, and now I that I know that it's wasteful to spend so much money on a Midtown Atlanta stylist studio, when you can get a better haircut, and bang for your buck at this place, why would I ever go back to "Salon Life"? For dudes with mid to longer hairstyles, God Bless you, and rock that mane out! I have no idea if this barber shop is right for you. For dudes whom look their best with a shorter hairstyle, or have a receding hairline like mine, stop wasting your money and time at a fancy hair salon. These dudes here have seen it all, have perfected their craft for decades, and are adamant about hooking you up with the best haircut to meet your needs and appearance. I'm very fortunate to have stumbled across this local legend, basically based on their great online reviews. Now as a customer, I can attest for their skillset, their craft, and their ability to make a dude look handsome! Which, for me, takes a lot of work! And now that they've made the impossible, possible, of course I have no other choice but to come back for more, and hopefully more repeated successes! This is only the third business that I've reviewed. I wouldn't have taken the time unless this shop was worthy. Now, if I could only get better with names! Dammit! This stylist was amazing!
