I had Donald and have to say that I literally received the best haircut of my life! I was nervous and he completely made me feel at ease. It was my first time visiting so I didn't have much to go on for choosing a barber so I picked out by time slot. My Barber was Hung Nguyen. He was fantastic. He gives one of the Best - Fade Cuts in ATL. As for The Shop, it was very nice and clean. Downside, Very Pricey. I Was disappointed my haircut didn't include a wash and hot towel for the price. Also seemed a little rushed for the next appointment.

This is the only place I will go for a haircut. I live in Barrow county, but work in Midtown. I have gone to many, many other barbers, but I have now found the only one I will ever go to. Been a customer here for over two years. All of their barbers are great, but I've come to appreciate the work of Joel M. I'd suggest setting up an appointment on line, but they do take walk-ins.

Nice, clean, masculine-feeling barbershop. My barber was quick and efficient, but didn’t really listen to my instructions about how I wanted my beard trimmed. When I got home, I had to trim down areas that he totally missed (it wasn’t worth the trip to go back and get it fixed).

Jeez.. Where to begin. This was my first time in a barbershop. I had always gone to salons. The atmosphere and decor is spot on. They have a multitude of high quality men's care products. From body wash to high-end shave brushes and everything in between. The hot lather and hot towel treatment at the end was just perfect. Price was quite reasonable as well ($30 + tip) . I had seen good things about Matty and requested him. He was welcoming and pleasant. He listened to what I wanted, we discussed options, and he went to work. Im extremely pleased with the cut .Its possible this is one of the best haircuts I've had but we will see how it grows out. I suggest going to see Matty if your nervous about switching like I was. He was phenominal.

I've been in here three times now because it's very convenient for me, but I don't think I'll be back. The haircuts are very expensive, which would be OK if they were consistently good, but the last time I was in here the woman who cut my hair did a terrible job. The first two times I stopped here they did a great job, but for the price I'd expect more consistency.

One of the classic barbershop in the town. They do a very neat job and take their time to get the details right. They usually have around 5 to 6 barbers at any given point in time so one dies not have to wait too long. They use scissors and comb unlike others Cheaper barbers who just use clippers. Reasonably priced but totally worth it ad the service they provide is nothing short of truly professional

Seems like most people only come on here to give a negative review so as a loyal and regular customer I wanted to share my experience. I've been coming here for over a year and have received many cuts from different barbers. Every single one has been professional, good quality, and enjoyable. This is the best barber in Midtown and that is why it is always packed. Currently, Long Dinh is my go to barber and he gives a great cut. I highly recommend American Haircuts if you live in the Midtown area.

If you're looking for a quick, assembly line, inexpensive haircut, don't come here. If you're looking for the modern version of an old-style barber shop, this is your place. Good conversation, quality haircuts, nice atmosphere, clean, and a free beer with your haircut. It's not the cheapest haircut, but also not the most expensive. You can get various services (basic haircut, beard trim, shave, etc...). And it's nice to end with a straight razor neck shave and a hot towel.

Great place and was addressed quickly upon entering. Atmosphere was relaxing and the staff called you by your name when waiting on you. Although expensive, I've never paid $30 for a simple hair cut especially when I have a limited amount to work with. I can't afford to go often but would definitely make sure I revisit when I can.

I love this place and have used them since I graduated from Georgia Tech. I always recommend making a reservation (they have an online system), though sometimes you can get lucky just walking up. They offer complimentary drinks and have a comfortable seating area. When I have an appointment, I am always seated within 5 minutes of my scheduled time. I prefer Josh Hudson, but they have a lot of people that do a great job.

I didnt know what to expect because of the mediocre rating on google, but went in with an open mind and let the magician do his magic. turned out to be worth every bit of 30 bucks for the basic hair cut which included a straight razor neck shave and steam towel massage. not to mention a very professional haircut. i would go again in a heartbeat. big fan

Easily one of the best men's haircut places in town. In the age of places like GreatClips, where you are treated as just more human cattle for the clippers, its a very enjoyable experience to be able to carry on a working relationship with the person who cuts your hair. Highly recommended.

Im only giving 4 stars because it is expensive, but as they say cheap isn't good and good aint cheap. I started going to American Haircuts in Roswell/Woodstock when I was in highschool and after I went to college I was bummed there wasn't one where I was. Now that I am back living in Midtown I love it. They are located right down the street from my work and always do a great job, ive only had one bad haircut but to be fair I like a very specific type of fade which is hard to do, even the most experienced barber can stumble sometimes. They give you free beer too...I mean when you think about it..with the subtraction of cost of a beer youre only paying like 23-25 bucks for a real haircut, not some great clips shave and go on your way. if you are a man with a beard they also trim it to EXACTLY how you want. which is huge considering ive had barbers just hack my beard to shreds. 10/10 for sure, just wish they would come down on the price..going back today for my 2 week haircut.

Troy T. gives the best trimmer haircut I've ever had. You can go get a $50 haircut somewhere else and get the same or lesser quality than Troy's in my experience. I've got a super thick head of hair and he always makes me walk out with confidence. Girlfriend approved.

If you have a bad experience here, it is purely your own fault for ignorance or lack of communication skills. I promise you will get exactly what you ask for as well as a more than qualified experts opinion on a look that can siut you even better. Kudos gentlemen.
