Really good if you need a popular currency last minute. The banks have a slightly better exchange rate, at least at the time that I checked, but they don’t really stock foreign currencies on hand. If you order it’ll take 2-3 business days, and if you order it just gets plopped on your porch no signature or if you pickup you have to get into line at the bank.
I needed it ASAP, because I was a bit last minute. I called in, asked if they had some euros on hand and came in when they said they had it anytime. No line no wait, and really smooth and easy transaction. Very secure as well since it’s in the mall, and there’s ATMs in the mall if you need to take out cash to exchange. Imani helped me on call and in person, and she was really great in every way.
They also buy back currency, which is not really done in banks. Will be back for that.

Went here to get Mexican pesos.
No issues at all, no lines, mixed currency and very straightforward process.
Will come back for more currency exchange.

They are really very efficient. Very surprising in an international area like DC, that there are very few options for currency exchange. Compared to some other places, they are pretty fair for the price.

Friendly staff. The money was available the day after I ordered it. It is always a good idea to have local currency for tipping, tolls, small restaurants, etc. Better to negotiate with local currency as long as that currency is strong.

I recently went to Croatia and ordered some Kunas online (picked up in person). The guidebooks all said that most places took credit cards so I was just being careful. Turns out that cash was king and most places didn't accept cards after all, but ATM machines were available everywhere. However, the fees on the machines and terrible rates were shocking. Next time I will get even more local currency before I leave. I wish I had brought more! CEI made it very easy.

Incredibly helpful. We were running a bit late and called ahead and their team was willing to wait for us. Call ahead to order currencies other than those listed in the photos — we order Icelandic Kronurs in advance

This was my first time exchanging dollars for my first trip to Europe. The lady at the kiosk was so nice and very helpful. I paid for the insurance and she explained it very clearly. I’m very glad I went there.

So convenient! I love having local currency BEFORE I leave for my trips and these guys make is so easy. Just be sure to do it several days in advance of your departure to give them enough time to get the currency.
