Can’t recommend this operation highly enough. I’ve exchanged currencies a few times with him (USD to COP; USD to THB; etc) and the exchange rates he offers are consistently better than what my bank can offer. Service is quick and friendly, and literally every time I’m in his shop, there’s a line of customers and his phone is ringing off the hook with new business. Never had to wait more than 1 or 2 days for the currency/amount I want. This shop might just be one of DC’s best kept secrets.

Much better exchange rates than Travelex. They held my currency overnight after I called, and were professional, friendly and accurate when I got there next morning. They are cash-for-cash so hit your ATM ahead of time.

Very nice employees but the exchange rate still wasn't great but appears better than all the others. Lost about 10% in the exchange just FYI so you can plan you finances.

Blows Travelex out of the water. Way better rates. I came back from Israel and for the same amount of money Travelex offered $425 for the exchange and Treasure Trove offered $467. No brainier. Thanks, y'all!

This place is excellent, I come for all my currency needs, normally exchanging USD for Mexican pesos. Make sure to call ahead of time and ideally not the day before your trip. Marc is the best — so friendly, trustworthy, and professional! He graciously waited for me a few mins after closing time so that I could get currency I needed before a trip. I don’t recommend doing this to him, it’s not nice, but saying to demonstrate how excellent the customer service is! Rates are very clear, the $5 fee is cheaper than other competitors. My bank doesn’t do currency exchange, this is by far the best option in DC!
