I have worked for America first, mountain America, and no Ufirst while they all have their perks I have loved my experience getting an auto loan with them and working with Sarah Overton. She made it super easy and I probably exhausted her but she took such good care of me regardless of my extended requests. He was professional, very knowledgeable, pleasant to work with and went out of his way to be helpful in opening my account remotely a process which can sometimes be daunting. It's been a long time that I've had customer service like I did with Utah First. While getting a HELOC, we worked with Adriana Mendez, who was so knowledgeable, kind, precise and fast. When we were finished, I told her she should be paid double what she is and that is no exaggeration. In addition, we were quoted 6-8 weeks for a HELOC at MACU, with a turnaround time on communication of 10 days (which was noted on their auto email replies.) We were funded with Utah First around day 10. We've already shared Adriana's contact information with a friend and will continue to do so! Thanks so much!

I had requested a replacemnt debit card and asked if I could pick it up from the South Jordan Branch, when ready. Soon afterwards, I unexpectedly fell ill for over a month. After I recovered, I called the Sourh Jordam Branch to locate the debit card, but the Customer Service Reps there were not helpful at all and almost rude. I made one call to, Sara Overton, and within the hour, she called back and explained to me what happened to that debit card and reordered a new one. Sara has already called to give an update on the card and she will call when the card is ready to pick up. This might seem small. but Sara is the reason why I dont take my business elsewhere. This example is just the latest of many... Thank you, Sara!

Adriana was amazing to work with. I was approved for an auto loan with an awesome rate and she was super informative and responsive as I was going through the process. Unfortunately, there was a little hiccup while buying the car and the dealership wouldn't work with the financing. I ended up being able to get the dealer financing to buy the car initially and then refinance to get the awesome rate through Utah First. She is so quick to get back to me and give me the confirmation and the security that I need to know what’s going on with my account. For example. Trust me, I’m a full time client with full time business and personal financial issues. I’m no easy client. Absolutely incredible customer service! I've experienced many departments over the last two years with this institution. Mortgage, accounts for checking and savings, and soon the automotive loan department. Recently I've tried new options such as Live Chat and E-deposit. E-deposit is where a customer can take a photo and then deposit their check into their account. I was in another state where I thought I would have to open a new account with another bank to cash a paper check that was given to me. Nope, I took a photo and was able to make the deposit. Utah First Credit Union then reviews their deposits twice a day, so before the end of the day I was able to have my funds. I hate buying cars. LOATHE IT. Dealerships are in it to make their money. I get it, nature of the business. Went in to LHM Chevy had then pull our credit and got a decent rate. Signed paperwork and left. Driving home i saw the Utah First Billboard on i-15. Woke up the next day not happy with what the Dealership rates. We decided to apply online. LET ME TELL YOU.. 10 minutes after applying I got a text from Sarah. Which was perfect as i was at work. Called her back and went over the details of the loan from the dealership. She was transparent, kind and honest. Said she would call me back after 30 mins after she ran the numbers. She actually called back in the 30 mins. She also kept me and my co signer / partner in the loop at every step of the process as we were both at work. NEVER happens. Told us we were approved, Told us how to e mail her our pay stubs and the things they needed. Called the dealership to let them know we switched lenders and listened to them him and haw about the better rate, how we should just stick with the original loan and refinance in a year. Then him telling us their gap insurance is better. Well University first was $400 cheaper and has much more benefits. Signed the new contract and was done in less then 2 hours. When we spent 6 hours at the dealership to hear we needed more down or they could only offer us higher rates. Blah blah blah. They would not tell us everywhere else we got approved, just the one the finance guy thought was best, which mean they only want us to finance who will give them a kickback. LONG STORY SHORT... in a few hours 3-4 we went from applying to the loan being funded and the dealership has their money. 10000% recommend this process and Utah First. Sarah is a life changer and my stomach can relax as we got a great rate 3% better then the dealership would offer us. If you are buying a car make sure to tell them to run the loan through these guys. Although, i think applying on their website was SO much easier and you get the personal touch of talking to the direct person at the bank who can answer any and all questions. In fact I’ll just name them Mountain America horrible- All they did is give me the run around about a home equity line of credit. I regress my experience with an employee of Utah First . Her name is Jeana She is great to deal with in fact she should be running a department. I like speaking to her. The reason why is because she’s professional funny courteous. These guys are total rockstars when they come to your banking needs. Nicest people I've ever dealt with and they will try everything they can to get you approvals at very competitive rates. All you need is $50 to open an account, which while is higher than the $5 required at most other credit unions but provide you a truly personalized service. Another side note is that may not have the most up-to-date online banking but it works well and does integrate with third parties like Mint/Quickbooks.
