We've had only excellent experiences with DFCU for our auto loan (for which we got a competitive rate). In fact, when I applied for the loan and was trying to figure out the logistics of how to pick up the check (without a car) on the way to picking up my car, they instead offered to bring the check to my house. It was amazing - they go above and beyond with customer service.

My wife and I have been using DFCU for direct work deposits now for almost 40 years. Every bank and CU has good and bad qualities but I have never had a truly bad experience here. I have a 2nd CU as well but will be transferring out and using DFCU solely. I have had issues at other banks and CUs as well with things like Auto loans it is not uncommon. It is a well run institution, trust is a big deal to me.

I have been a member of Direct Federal Credit Union for 37 years when they used to be Polaroid Federal Credit Union. They were like family back then and I used to go to Janet Glidden, who got married. Always got great service without a hassle. Always got my car loans from them, except one time, my credit score was low, that's when I knew they weren't family anymore. My score is very good now and I did get a car loan from them, but I miss the family feeling. Wish there was someone there that could have given me advice when my score was low and how and what to do before I apply for another loan. BofA gave me that advice and now my score is almost 800!

I never write reviews but felt like this is one that needs to be written. I can't thank Stephanie and Faye enough for their amazing customer service support today, and for jumping through so many hoops to assist my son in finalizing his first ever car loan! They went out of their way to reach out to an offsite underwriter, not only to get approval to cut a check on a Saturday, but also re-reach out to the underwriter a second time when it was realized that the check amount needed to be increased! With only hours to spare before closing, they had the underwriter authorize the increase and had a check waiting for us! I've been a member with Direct Federal for as long as I can remember and I'm so glad that my son has now joined the ranks of membership as well...

All the negative reviews scared the hell out of me!! So i made sure to be ready and take notes when I called...I was on hold about 10 minutes before Haley answered. She was awesome!! I have to think all the negative reviews are from competitors because between Bret Levine and the women (Haley) that answered when i called in to verify my new account it was the best customer service I have received in a very long time AND THEY SPEAK ENGLISH!

Brett Levine was amazing! He was always there to answer my questions. He even recommended some different options that benefited me which I hadn't considered before. I did my homework and checked with other local banks before speaking with Brett. Take my advice don't waste your time comparing and just talk to Brett.

When you call a person answers every time, something so simple makes such a big difference. They are also so flexible and how you can get things done. Where someone else might require a fax they accommodate with multiple methods of sharing the information with their team. Thank you!

I went to Direct to refinance my mortgage and I am so glad I did! Bill, Ed, Meghan and Joy were easy to talk to and answered any question I threw at them. Because of them it made the refinancing process a lot less stressful.

I used to bank at this credit union for more than 15 years they had branches in Norwood and Cambridge until they started closing all their branches and only one was left it was the Needham location it's too far for me to get to now so I switched over to the Metro Credit Union
