Melody made my daughters 1st birthday cake with a grinch theme which is her favorite! It was done with the best care and on time and was so special for our family. She is a genius and I would love her abilities for all my big events. I was so impressed and happy.

Absolutely loved my wedding cake! Melody was great from the beginning, she created a beautiful cake that not only looked amazing, but tasted amazing! It was simple and elegant, just like I had envisioned. Will definitely be returning for any other cakes I may need in the future.

Melody did an amazing job with a last minute invoice/order for my mothers birthday in April 2016. I had chosen a design before looking through her past work but when I sent her one of her previous cakes, she amended the order. She's open late which is great when you have to pick up your order after work. My only negative is that I ordered a Tres Leches cake and although the description didn't say anything about it, there was chocolate between the cake and the buttercream. Guess it's a plus if you love chocolate.

I live in North Carolina. I had a cake designed by MDV Custom Cakes for my baby shower. My cousin brought the cake all the way from the Bronx, NY down to North Carolina and the cake was PERFECT! It did not shift or move for the 9 hour trip. When we had the had the event the next day, the cake perfectly moist and the flavor was to die for! I had a three tier cake with each tier being a different flavor; Marble Dulce de Leche, Blue Velvet Cookies & Cream and Triple Chocolate. All of my guest raved about the cake! And the design was BEAUTIFUL! I had a jungle themed baby shower and the cake fit right in! I would HIGHLY recommend getting your cake here for your next event! I couldn’t be happier with my experience and how easy it was to work with Melody!

Ok......So Melody @MDVCustomcakes made the most beautiful and scrumptious cake that I have ever tasted. First off, her attention to detail was dead on and unmatched. Most of my guests did not even know that this work of art was edible. Next, the taste. This cake (Pina Colada flavored) was so moist and fresh and totally unlike anything I have ever tasted. Her service was also EXCEPTIONAL! Here is the most compelling part: Melody did what no other baker has ever done in my experience - she willfully and voluntarily gave me the extra unused pieces that were sculpted away rather than wastefully throwing it out or attempting to re-use it as part of another customers order. This to me demonstrates her authenticity and her recognition of her customers value and purse and the need to treat us fairly. To top it off - this cake was made in JUNE. I froze the extra pieces for 3 MONTHS and just ate my last slice on Sunday - September 15th!! I am now in WITHDRAWAL. Every 2-3 nights for the past 3 months, I was able to enjoy a small slice of cake heaven that maintained its freshness as if it were freshly made. Even the fruit filling stayed FRESH which most bakers somehow can't seem to let stay fresh beyond 5 days! In all of this, my only problem was hiding the cake in the freezer without my family finding it and getting up at the wee hours of the night to eat it without anyone noticing (God forbid if I had to share)! And to think..... I had this lasting enjoyment all because she willfully gave me the extra piece of cake without me even knowing that it existed! Thank you Melody for your integrity and your craft. They did the most AMAZING job on our wedding cake. My wife wanted to be Cinderella for our wedding day. It was the theme she picked for our wedding. She walked into MDV Custom Cakes two weeks before our wedding and they made magic happen quickly. From concept to delivery they did nothing less than an A PLUS job. If you want perfessionalism and QUALITY then look no further. Weeks later we are STILL getting questions about who did our cake.

Simply Amazing!! Not only are the cakes gorgeous but they are delicious too!. I must have tried several cup cakes and each one was better than the next. I couldn't decide which was my favorite. :)

This store is amazing. They have awesome tasting cup cakes and smaller fair for a quick bite. But there custom cakes? They are Devine. The bakers make anything your heart desires, so come mentally prepared.
