Light and fluffy. Not too sweet. Filling is tasty. We got the Italian Cake with Almonds. Chocolate and vanilla cream filling. Yum. No occasion, we just wanted cake. Will definitely order again.

Totally amazing experience! I came in with a vague idea of what I wanted for my daughter's birthday cake and they patiently helped me narrow it down. Not only did Delite provide me with a beautiful cake, it was delicious too! Everyone at my daughter's party was complimenting the cake and asking for the bakery's information. I highly recommend this bakery! The staff was friendly, courteous and you could tell they all really take great pride in their work. I will absolutely order from them again!

Delite bakery is the best bakery. We drive to Yonkers from NJ to get their cakes. Our favorites are the cannoli cake and rainbow cake. All their pastries and cookies are wonderful especially cannolis, cream puffs, napoleons and eclairs. Call and order ahead and I email them photos or images to personalize the celebration cakes.

Was good. They fell off last few years. Definitely not as good as they used to be. Fleetwood bakery in mt Vernon I think is the last good bakery in westchester.

My order was simple and small for my little big boy and they made everything work just as I imagined. Aesthetics is always top tier but when you can make cake taste so good as Delite’s does, you are owed more than 5 stars. This foodie is coming back for every birthday in the family, plus more! I just wish i know them when I first moved to Yonkers 🥹🫶🏾

I ordered a 3/4 sheet cake, cookies and cupcakes for an engagement party. As I'm not from around the area, I was concerned about placing such a large order having never used this bakery before. I sent photos of what I wanted and gave specific directions and they did not disappoint. The cupcakes and cake was moist and decorated exactly as I had asked, the cookies were perfect and packaged individually. I wish I lived closer as I'd definitely order from Delite Bakery again!

I've only been a customer for a short period of time but I must say I was extremely impressed with the patience and communication when it came to placing my special order for a Halloween cake. I needed a bloody creepy cake design and they delivered! In order to get that bloody interior effect I requested a red velvet cake with a twist. Instead of the traditional cream cheese layers I opted for chocolate fudge and, in my opinion, tasted AMAZING!!! I could've gone a step further and chosen a red fruity gel-type filling for the bleeding cake effect, but the fudge tasted better for everyone. Definitely going back for their great service as long as I got the money for their wonderful cakes!

I went in to get a chocolate cake. The woman behind the counter was helpful in selecting one of their cakes that are available daily. I believe it was a Molly Brown (layered chocolate sponge w/whipped cream frosting, strawberry and banana filling). She wrote the message on the cake neatly. The cake was perfectly moist. The whipped cream held its shape and the fruits used for the filling were ripe and fresh.

This backery is worth the trip. The Napoleon birthday cake is excellent.. Their bagels are not worth buying. However, their morning pastries and danishes are excellent with their coffee. The help is polite but there's not enough and my stay took a long time to buy a few things. What can I say my mother swears by this place and I recommend it. Their selection of cookies and other delights have past our dinner tables for 30 years. They are worth a try.

The Delite Bakery is amazing. The almond coffee rings and coconut custard pies are out if this world, nowhere else I have found that would top them. I just had my son's 3rd birthday cake made with them chocolate cake with chocolate moose, Jurassic park themed. Let me tell you that the cake was absolutely gorgeous and delicious perfect combination for my money⚘ I am very happy forever customer.

This review is late but I placed an order on Grubhub in September of 2020 for my mother's birthday. She loves carrot cake so that is what I purchased. I don't know what is up with the "stale and dry' reviews but our cake was moist and delicious. The shop followed my instructions exactly and delivery lady was nice and pleasant. The carrot cake is the best I've ever had and I am ready to place an order for my mother's birthday again soon.

Great old fashioned, old school bakery. Not some huge fake supermarket bakery, “but the real thing”. Cakes made to order with real whipped cream and fresh italian cookies daily. The pastry is very good and the staff is warm and friendly. I highly recommend this bakery. Maybe pricey for a real bakery. But you get what you pay for!

Most delicious carrot cake arrived for my birthday; really well travelled without any damage: such a nice guy delivering through all the social distancing! It is very moist, very tasty with nuts and icing absolute winner's. And it looks beautiful with its carrots and rosettes and bright red Happy Birthday Mom. I was honestly going to write a negative review, but luckily an employee named Kyla saved the day. I was being helped by a couple of other younger girls at first who were dismissive and rude, but luckily Kayla started serving me and was BEYOND sweet. Definitely a slice of Heaven. I never worry about what I’m going to get because it’s all great. I have never had a bad choice and I’ve tried a lot of their delicacies. The jelly donuts are definitely better than any I’ve had, they have more jelly in them than most and they are so delicious it’s hard to only have one. I remember being there one time and a customer brought back a cake that was 3/4 gone and said he wanted his money back... I couldn’t believe my eyes. I think he just wanted his money back so he could send Kramer back in to get another... too funny.

If you want the world's cutest groom's cake, run not walk to Delite Bake Shop. Thanks to Delite I was able to surprise my now husband with the Knicks cake of his dreams. It was super fun to bring our own personality to our November 2021 wedding, and we have Delite to thank for that! Eric was accommodating and even worked with our venue, The NYBG, to coordinate drop-off. The cake was delish and we even froze some of it with our wedding cake (which was provided by our venue).

This is an old time bakery... They make wonderful cakes and bread. Reminds me of the old G&R Bakery on 161st Street by Yankee Stadium (long gone, but still missed). This is a bakery that is worth a trip! Don't miss the strawberry shortcake and 7 layer cake 🎂

We had heard great things about this bakery so we went to pick up a box of goodies for dessert. Parking is a bit of a challenge in the area. The staff was friendly and helpful. The dessert selection was really broad and we purchased a box of the mini desserts. In the end we felt that the good was done, even though a bit overpriced but not exceptionally special.

Baked goods were ok nothing special. Service was not good. There were 3 employees standing together waiting for the mail while my family and I waited to be helped. They kept walking and talking with each other instead of acknowledging us. My father kept asking if we could get a box at least 4 time yet no one responded. When one employee did talk to us she spoke briefly. Overall not worth the price, as the mini treats were not amazing and the service was not great.

I order my birthday cake from Delite every year, and I have since I was a kid. Their strawberry shortcake is the best around. They also have amazing croissants. Always good service, parking can be a hassle, but that's pretty much to be expected for the area.

Ive been going to this bakery since my days at Roosevelt High School for well over 20 years they get better and better every Thanksgiving i order me a tres leche cake last week i placed my order for a tres leche cake and the cake tasted delicious they did a great job with it especially the way they placed the requested fruits i wanted in the cake absolutely phenomenal delite bakery is the bakery to go to you always leave satisfied never disappointed and there staff is absolutely wonderful 👏
