Kim did our wedding cake last month and it was amazing! Everyone is still saying how tasty and beautiful the cake was. Customer service was exceptional from start to finish. The cake tasting was a memorable experience, staff was very welcoming and Kim was so fun and yet professional making sure we cover every detail and taking her time talking and listening to us. I also ordered cheese cake for my husband and gluten free cupcakes for one of my bridesmaids and everything was wonderful. Highly recommended and will definitely be ordering all our cakes from them! Cakes by Kim is one of the bakeries that my venue works with. I love that we didn’t have to choose flavors to try when we went for a tasting because there was a whole platter with a variety of cake slices with different fillings and icings for us to try. Cakes by Kim makes DELICIOUS cakes and has some unique flavors, such as rum chata filling (which is one that we chose). They also are easy to work with and make beautiful cakes. I will definitely plan to use them for future cakes and highly recommend them!

Did a custom cake order with the bakery and had to have been the easiest ordering experience and one of the tastiest cakes! Kim was prompt in responding to my request and pricing was reasonable. Sent some inspo pictures for the cake decor and the bakery nailed it. Everyone loved the cake and cupcakes. We were able to have a tasting box to see what flavors we would want. We did a number cake with one cake being a lemon and the other as almond. I will definitely be ordering/picking up pastries again. Thanks again!

Our wedding cake was so delicious! We got 3 layers, all different flavors. 1st layer - Chocolate cake with chocolate mousse. 2nd layer - Marble cake with white chocolate mousse and raspberry jam. 3rd layer - Yellow cake with custard and real strawberries. I gave Kim an inspiration photo from Pinterest for my cake and it turned out exactly as the photo! Her cakes are always so moist (I know that word...ew) but its the truth. They are so fresh and dense and the icing is fabulous too! We even ordered my bday cakes after my wedding from her. You will not be disappointed!

Although the ordering of the cake was a little shaking when dealing with the young lady who took the order, I was very happy with the end product. All three layers were delicious and I will order from them again. Delivery fee was worth not having to take the risk of the cake being damaged in transport. I was worried due to some of the reviews here but I am grateful that I was pleased with the product I received.

Yesterday was my birthday. I have had bariatric surgery and am a Type 2 diabetic so my sister brought me a sugar free vanilla cake from Cakes By Kim. There was also a regular bakery chocolate cake that another family member bought for “everyone else”. Let me tell you that chocolate cake was left on everyone’s plates and we have zero sugar free vanilla cake left! This cake was dense, did not have that fake sugary taste and had very good flavor. 10/10 recommend you try this cake!

One of the easiest reviews to leave. I’ve been coming here for my holiday treats for years now. I was first introduced to them when I found out a decade ago that the delicious desserts from Dead Presidents were actually cakes by Kim. If that wasn’t enough every time I’m greeted by the staff warmly, would’ve done it, or maybe the fact that everything I’ve tried here is nothing short of amazing. But the real thing that sends it over the top is the way they don’t back down to you psychos on here who leave terrible reviews with no receipts. Thank you for everything you do, never change.

My husband and I recently used Cakes by Kim for our wedding cake and I could not have asked for a better company to work with! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Kim is the sweetest and an absolute joy to work with. She made sure that the cake for our special day was perfect and you can tell she really puts her all into her work! Overall very professional, responsive to emails and listened to what we envisioned for our wedding cake. It turned out beautifully and we couldn't be happier. One of the best cakes I ever had! I called the day before my husband‘s birthday to get him a sugar-free cake (not a lot of places offer sugar-free) but they did and it was amazingly delicious! Plus they were able to have it ready next day. We got the SF vanilla cake with strawberry filling and my husband could not stop eating it. Definitely coming back here again for my birthday!

I ordered my daughters Birthday cake from Cakes by Kim. I have always heard good things about this bakery, but had never ordered until recently. I have to say I was not disappointed. The cake was not only beautiful to look at, but it was delicious. My daughter wanted chocolate with Oreo filling and it was fantastic- cake was moist, filling was tasty, but the buttercream- Oh my! It was delicious- and I’m not usually a fan of buttercream, but this was light and not too sweet. I will definitely be ordering from here again!

Simply could not have had a better experience! The ordering process was easy, and she personally reached out with a phone call to confirm my custom cake. The pickup was smooth and she was such a delight to speak to, it would’ve made my day even if the cake weren’t spectacular- which it absolutely was. I'm not even sure where to start.. lol Kim was amazing and an enjoyable person to work with for our wedding cake selection. All her options where delicious 😋 I even left with a tasty Carrot Cake because it was so good. That's not even what takes the cake lol. Kim had our two daughters join us for cake tasting, the oldest is 3 and youngest is 9 months. Kim had a blast with our two daughters. She was singing, dancing and laughing, she made us feel right at home. Kim seems like a a genuine person and has a big heart. We definitely will be returning to do business with Kim and her amazing Bakery.

Kim helped us with our wedding cake this November. The tasting was phenomenal, she was incredibly prepared, kind, and patient. It felt nearly impossible to choose when all of the flavors and fillings were equally incredible! Kim is very professional, responds quickly to emails, and is very sweet. Her cake was complimented all night and she did gorgeous work on the floral arrangement cascading down it. I will continue to contact Kim for all future life events. I will go OUT OF MY WAY to give this amazing woman and her team my business. Going with her is a no-brainer.

Best place I have had them make many birthday cakes my wedding cake on 1/7/17 it was a tower a cake at the top and cheesecake cupcakes down below and omg they were amazing!! My daughter and I stopped in this bakery to buy some cupcakes today after taking our cat to the vet. I realize this is primarily a place to order cakes for events, but if they're going to sell cupcakes from a display, then they should not be so god-awful tough and stale and dry that they're inedible. Because who would ever order cake from this shop if this is an indication of what they'll get? So far three of the six we purchased, all different flavors, have been terrible, and I'm thinking I should just toss the rest in the trash. Not at all the way to represent the products if you want customers to order them. So disappointing. EDIT 7/30/18: I appreciate the gracious response from the owner and have increased the star rating to reflect this prompt customer service. I look forward to trying some cupcakes that are up to the shop's standard of quality. EDIT 8/19/18: This weekend my daughters and I enjoyed our replacement cupcakes and they were *delicious. The chocolate peanut butter and the strawberry were our favorites. Kim could not have been nicer, and since we realized we lived near one another, she delivered the cupcakes to my door!

She did everything and more that I wanted for my wedding cake. My dream cake was confusing and different but she pulled it off and it was amazing and yummy! Cheesecake at the top with cherry drizzle.. And 4 tiers of cheese cake cupcakes along with other cupcakes. All the guest were in love it it was perfect! Simple and everyone could just grab a cupcake. Two stories for you. 1) Got our wedding cakes from there years ago, it was amazing and tasted even better. The prices were pretty good for everything, but we had a little bit of wiggle room, so we went with something more extravagant. Honestly, it was worth every penny. 2) I stopped in just out of curiosity and just picked one up for my wife's birthday. (It was in their display) It was a 3-4 person cake and paid $25 for it. (I think) My wife, daughter and me left no crumbs behind. Staff is very friendly, Kim is very warm and welcoming. Highly recommend the place.

Okay, so I LOVE the owner, Kim. Absolutely adore her. She totally came to my rescue two years ago when another well known local custom cake place was supposed to be making my son's birthday cake and somehow it slipped through the cracks and when I called to pay they basically told me I was out of luck bc they didn't have enough time at that point to make it. I called Cakes by Kim and she was awesome and did a great job. BUT...I have been in to the shop three times to pick up orders and the young ladies behind the counter could really use some help with their customer service skills. Two of the three times they had a seriously hard time even finding the cake and all three times they were just not really pleasant- no smiling, didn't give me a bag for the small cake that would have easily fit into one and just doesn't leave you feeling like you had a pleasant interaction when you leave- and considering at that point I have usually spent well over $100 I feel like a smile and a plastic bag isn't asking too much.

For such a tiny place, I was amazed at the excellent varieties they offer. My daughter and (soon to be) son in law are getting their wedding cake from here. We went for a cake tasting and it was difficult to choose only 3 flavors because they were all exceptional. Kim and her husband are very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. They're pricey 6 cup cakes 13.50 anything on them is xtra. They put flowers on these cakes and don't take time out to wash the flowers. From the dirty soil to your cakes be careful that's dangerous.

Idk about all those other reviews but this is my story... I was looking for a specific cake with a certain filling a certain look for my birthday I looked everywhere and no one could help I finally stumbled upon cakes by Kim and read the reviews and was s bit iffy about it so I went into the shop myself first impression wasn't that impressed but I thought hey give it a try so I showed the girl a picture of my cake and right off the bat she knew exactly what I was talking about I ordered the cake on a Saturday picked it up on Monday at 1:00 and it was exactly everything I wanted it was wonderful the whipped cream the star worries everything tasted fresh and handmade from scratch I have no complaints the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I asked for chocolate shavings but they kind of over did it a little and I had to pick it off because I didn't like it but other than that all thumbs up for cakes by Kim ❤️ And the staff was friendly and welcoming I had no bad service
