The chocolate walnut cookie was phenomenal! Oh highly recommend. Very nice bakery with so much deliciousness. You can see why it's famous. Quick and simple service. Staff were great as well. Small bakery. Place has no place to sit and enjoy. You either stand &/or just grab and go.

I am an avid home baker, and knowing my passion for cookies in particular, my friend brought me a Levain chocolate chip walnut cookie all the way from New York!!! (I live in Canada!) This was a simple, classic cookie executed to perfection. I enjoyed it as directed on the Levain cookie care card: I warmed it up in my oven for a few minutes, and the cookie, though a little over a day old by the time I got to it, was beautifully crisp on the outside and tender, sticky and gooey inside! The walnuts and chocolate chips were a perfect complement to each other, and while I personally prefer a less sweet cookie dough, the flavours in this cookie were undeniably well-balanced. And of course, this cookie was characteristically enormous. A full meal worth of cookie, as it were... though that didn't stop me from finishing the whole thing in one sitting, with some milk tea, shortly after dinner!

When I saw “best cookies of NY” I was hesitant… but let me tell you it is well worth the tittle. They were chunky, but smooth, just the right amount of sweetness, basically as good as one cookie can be. I liked not just the cookie but also the small bakery and branding.

Finally at Levain! Personally i think the cookies are very good, but not amazing. It lacks a bit of salt and dries out significantly when it's a day old. The walnut chocolate chip is the best (very fresh walnuts! ) i love how quaint and small the place is. It get crowded anytime so come early and get in line.

I’m writing this review but I did not actually go to the bakery, I was gifted this item from somebody else. I will say that from the time I receive the notification that it was on its way until it got here the delivery service was very prompt and I’m only what 7 or 8 states away. The chocolate cookie was amazing! First of all this thing weighs like a metric ton it feels like. Full of chocolate full of flavor just an absolute overload of chocolate which is exactly what I wanted. The chocolate peanut butter oh my god how could it be any better than that huge pile of peanut butter in the center of it. The chocolate chip cookie was phenomenal! Just a wonderful cookie they have done it right, they know how to do it! These cookies for delivery are amazing. I will say this usually I do not like oatmeal raisin but I even ate this one I was not letting one crumb go to waste from this cookie box. The next time I go to New York I cannot wait to try them fresh.

We walked by Levain Bakery all the time, but rarely thought of getting bakery items inside until my family gifted us some cookies. They were delicious! I liked the Oatmeal Raisin cookie. My daughter likes anything with chocolate. I like how large the cookies were and their shapes were taller than other flat cookies I used to have. Definitely going back to get some for my friends.

I recently visited this bakery and was blown away by the quality of their baked goods. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the delicious smell of freshly baked bread and pastries. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, offering helpful recommendations on what to try. I sampled a few items and was impressed with everything I tried. The croissants were flaky and buttery, the chocolate chip cookies were perfectly soft and chewy, and the cinnamon rolls were some of the best I've ever had. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. The prices were also very reasonable for the quality of the baked goods. I left with a box full of treats to share with my family and friends, and everyone was equally impressed with the quality. Overall, I highly recommend this bakery to anyone looking for delicious, high-quality baked goods. I will definitely be returning in the near future to try more of their offerings.

I would personally say this cookies are the best of New York. Just go for the basic Chocolate Chip Walnut. Genuine big chunks of walnut, always served at perfect warm temperature, always look freshly made. Don't leave NY without having tried one of them!

Best cookies anywhere! Currently they are offering a holiday chocolate peppermint cookie, and there was quite a line when I went last Sunday afternoon. However, don’t let that deter you, there is a bench if you’re with someone who wants to sit and wait outside (the shop is teeny tiny and down a little steep flight of stairs.) A friendly staff member controlled the traffic going in, and I don’t think I had to wait longer than 5 minutes. I got a bunch of cookies to send to my family in the Midwest, so I’m hoping they hold up in the mail. Can’t wait to hear what they think of them!

Had really high expectations and wasn’t disappointed. The texture, the gooey middle and the occasional crunchy when biting the sides are just perfect. Took some in a box and crossed the Atlantic, they were still good after a few days (accidentally refrigerated against the advice that it should be frozen - was still good).

There is always a line here so just give in and wait for your cookies. 😂 Lol. Bring someone with you for company while you wait. Seriously, it actually moves fairly quickly and the giant cookies are worth the wait. 🤤 One cookie is like a full dessert, shareable and filled with chocolate and nuts. Get a bunch packaged in a nice box and you’ve got a winning host gift. So good! My personal fav is oatmeal.

100% a 5-star rating, local neighborhood location feel. Cookies are large but uniquely prepared with impressive ingredients. Unique experience exists at Levain, can’t find at many bakeries in US. A few other locations in NYC, 74th is original.

Definitely not bad, but not notably good. I went during an off hour, so it wasn't busy, and got their dark chocolate chip and chocolate chip walnut cookies. My best description of what they taste like is good with the slight floury taste you'd get from amateur homemade baked cookies. But I'm guessing that's because of how thick they were.

My 2 daughters had this bakery on their list on our NYC trip. And...it was worth the non-stop comments I had to hear along the way. The cookies are rich and soft on the inside. While chocolate chip cookie is often featured, I like the oatmeal raisin the best.

Yes it lives up to all the hype!! Delivery was super fast!! The Oatmeal Raisin is our favorite- it is a perfect balance of mild sweetness. If you’re a chocolate lover the Dark Chocolate Chip & Two Chip Chocolate Chip are super sweet treat. Delicious!

I like the place, the decoration is minimalist and make you feel that you are in a small owned bakery. I didn't try the cookies instead I decided for something else the raspberry bomboline and a flat bread. The bomboline was lacking of filling and I didn't know the dough was going to be sourdough. The flat bread was ok a bit to salty. What I really didn't like was the customer service they rushed me to take my order even when it was just me at the time.

Their chocolate chip cookies did live up to the hype, but beware! They are heavy so hard to eat even one. But they are pure deliciousness with melted chocolate and soft insides, with a crisp outside. If that's not perfection what is?

I first tried Levain cookies about 5 years ago and didn’t understand how there could be so much hype for a cookie (and I do love cookies). Then I got it. The crispy exterior, soft and goey, melt in your mouth middle is just perfect. Not to mention I don’t like baked goods with nuts in them and this cookie is the exception. I legit craved these cookies for two years during Covid and couldn’t wait to get back to NYC to have them again. Excellent customer service every time I go and great price point. Their new Two chip is great!

Best cookies I've had in New York City. I can't say anything about the other baked goods Levain offers but you have to try their cookies. They taste amazing, are huge and the consistency is just perfect. Gooey in the middle and crunchy on the outside. To be honest the seasonal fall flavour did not quite meet my expectations but I can recommend all of the regular flavors. The shop is busy most of the time but the line moves quick. The store is tiny but very lovely and I like the atmosphere

The cookies are absolutely delicious. Incredibly dense and filling for their size. I had one in the morning and was so full after it that I wasn't hungry for hours and hours. Definitely not a healthy option, but a very delicious one. Lol. $5 (which includes tax) which is a little pricey, but I will reiterate how dense they are, so it's not too bad.

As a chocolate cookie lover it fusent get much better than Levain. I have two go to spots in NYC for the “it takes two to tango” with cookies. Levain is the one fir the ooiest gooeyist cookies. Heard so much about the most famous cookie in NYC so had to stop by for a bite (or 10). The menu is straight forward with 4 types of cookies. Would highly recommend bringing your sweet tooth as the cookies are HUGEEEE and super indulgent. We got 3 out of the 4 cookies on the menu and then proceeded to stuff our faces. Our fav was the classic chocolate chip cookie with walnut, with the peanut butter cookie a close second. Our least fav was the dark chocolate *chocolate* chip cookie, which, frankly, was far more brownie than cookie and wayyyy too chocolatey. The most accurate way to describe it is a gargantuan gooey lump of chocolate brownie batter with a diabetes-inducing amount of chocolate chips mixed in. I suppose I should’ve seen that coming when they decided to put 2 chocolates in the name :/ They tried warn me but I didn’t listen. In any case, as long you stay away from that double chocolate chip tumor, Levain Bakery is well worth the visit!

This was recommended to us as a great place to get gluten free cookies and we are so glad that we went. We had some gluten free choc chip cookies. They were huge - one is good for two people. Super tasty, light and very more-ish. Nice big chunks of nuts and super moist (I think I can say cookies are moist, right?). Will definitely return.

This is a fantastic cookie spot located in close proximity to Central Park. I've always believed that the excitement surrounding it was justified. The service was prompt and cordial, and I adored the building's atmosphere as I descended to the cafe below. They had a new cookie available for the holidays: Chocolate Peppermint, in addition to their regular offerings, such as Double Chocolate, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Walnut Chocolate Chip, and Oatmeal Raisin. The Chocolate Peppermint cookie is now my favorite, and I hope it becomes a permanent addition to their menu. The indulgent, semi-sweet chocolate was complemented nicely by the subtle peppermint flavor, making for a delectable treat.

Worth the hype. If you like cookies, this is the elite stuff. My chocolate chip walnut cookie was firm and cooked on the outside while soft and chewy on the inside. Adorable bakery just a few blocks from Central Park. I made the mistake of trying their frozen cookies from a grocery store years ago and writing them off after I was left underwhelmed. I'm glad I decided to stop in and try the real thing though. The frozen cpg variety doesn't do the "real thing" justice. Amazing cookies and great coffee!

I’ve swung by here several times and I generally have the same opinion of it as any levain bakery. The cookie are good but overpriced/overhyped. You can find just as good cookies in several other bakeries throughout nyc but it is the whole like size that is eh draw. The set up is minimalist which is good because there’s always a wait.

The cookies are great and melt in your mouth ... But they are only good for eating fresh while the chocolate inside them is warm. Once it goes cold, it's still good but not as good as the fresh ones. The place however is extremely small with very little space to stand and eat. But the turnaround is pretty fast so you only have to wait a few minutes. As you're wait the warm aroma of freshly baked cookies prepares you for the ultimate chocolate treat :) Highly recommended.

It was recommended to me by some friends telling me that I was going to find "the best cookie" in New York and although I was not very convinced, they were right. They serve it fast, in a very shabby place, but the cookies are incredible. They are hot, with melted chocolate inside. An atrocity not tasted.

I must be missing something here. The cookies here are so supposed to be life changing. I give them points for fresh, well made, texturally pleasing, hefty sized “cookie.” I tried all four varieties available. The best balance of flavor was the chocolate peanut butter. The oatmeal raisin was so bland. Some people reviewed how wonderful it was and how they could taste the cinnamon. I think they forgot the cinnamon. The chocolate walnut was just ok. The line was short, ordered and had my cookies in hand in 10 min around 2pm on a weekday. Their trash was overflowing. If you are not the occasional baker and want a cookie fix, and enjoy scone-like cookies, this is the place for you.

Literally the best cookies I've ever tasted. I ordered the walnut chocolate chip cookie and the walnuts were so soft, I thought it was chunks of white chocolate. My husband go the dark chocolate cookie and we split a blueberry muffin. Everything was amazing!

Great little bakery with some of the most amazing cookies ever. Levain Bakery has built quite a reputation over the years and it's not in vain. In spite of the small place and the long queue, once you reach that counter and taste those mouth-watering cookies you'll see it's all worth the while. I only visited the store located in 74th Street but I've heard they added a new location which may mean shorter wait or maybe more sitting space. In any case, you can take away and enjoy in any of the neighbouring parks. An obligated stop if you're in the area.

While smaller than some of their other locations, the staff are easily some of the friendliest and most welcoming out of really any establishment in New York. Obviously you're here for the warm and gooey cookies, but don't overlook their other baked goods and even lunch items! Located in the beautiful Upper West Side, enjoy your cookies on the go or enjoy them inside along their counter areas. Just be aware that this location is located below street level so it is not wheelchair accessible. Otherwise, fabulous location with incredible service.

The original place is very cute but always packed and a huge line outside, but just a small walk up the street and they have another store. It's bigger, yes a bit less cute, but the lines are much more manageable. And with just a little wait you'll have a cookie that has just the right crunch, softness and chewyness to make all your problems disappear...for the moment.

Hands down some of the best cookies on the east coast. They are always warm and freshly made, full of chocolate, peanut butter, or whatever fixings are in that particular cookie... Each of these gooey treats have the same volume of at least 2 or 3 normal cookies. Totally worth the trek to get there, no matter where you’re coming from. A+++++

The hype and the line is worth it. These cookies are deliciously addictive - soft, gooey, warm, and soulful. They are also the size of your face (at not an unreasonable price). We waited maybe about 15 minutes - the line moves pretty quickly. We ordered a variety - all of them were pretty good (and warm out of the oven!), though the original was the best for me. It was a nice day and we walked to Central Park afterwards to enjoy every single bite. There wasn’t after all much place to sit - it’s more of a grab and go.

Totally deserving of its popularity and fame, the cookies here are large, thick and chunky. We ordered the “Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip” and the “Chocolate Chip Walnut”. If you are a chocoholic, the former is a must-have. Once your teeth breaks through the very thin layer crunchiness on the outside, your mouth will be met by fantastically gooeyness from the melted chips within. The latter is also very enjoyabke with an added bonus of fragrance from the nut. A visit here is vital for all who love cookies.

The cookies from Levain were delicious! Very thick cookies, so the outside was nice and crispy while the inside was still soft, which was perfect. However, the brioche was a little lacking. We went right near closing time, so perhaps if it has been freshly made it would have been better, but at that point it was just okay. Even despite the brioche though, I’d definitely go back for the cookies!

This is a delicious cookie. There's no way you eat this and don't agree. Is it the best cookie in the world? Only if you like undercooked dough, which I happen to love. The outside is crispy. Almost too crispy, but just right. The inside is moist and intentionally undercooked. And amazing. I'll be back for sure. Protip: share one with someone if you like fitting in to your clothes -- they're about 850 calories by my estimate :)

Tiny hidden gem on UWS!! The most incredible cookies ever!! Enough crunch on the edges with a soft melting chewy inside. If you're lucky you might even get one that is still a bit doughy - like I did. The only negative comment is that it only has 4 flavors to choose from and nowhere to sit to indulge the cookies still warm.

Delicious tasting MASSIVE cookies. I thought I could eat 2 for dessert one evening but I was wrong. One of the chocolate chip walnut cookies put me in a coma and I had to save the second for breakfast the next morning. They are fantastic cookies though. Definitely try them out. The dark chocolate cookie was my favorite one I've tried. The shop is below street level so keep an eye out when heading there.

3 words is all it takes to describe this place. WORLDS BEST COOKIES. Seriously they were...5 minute walk from central park and worth any queues you might find. We got the dark chocolate and peanut butter and the choc chip and walnut cookies. They were outstanding and still warm and gooey. We also got a blueberry muffin each which again was still warm the full of flavour, not bitter or tart like some muffins I've had before. I'm already waiting on friends to go to bring me back some of these wonderful delights! A cookie will never be the same again!

There’s a reason this place has been a stalwart leader in the NYC cookie scene for more than 25 years. The smell of chocolate chips cookies that assaults your senses when you first enter the bakery is intoxicating and makes you want to simply purchase one of everything they sell. After the difficulty of sticking to buying just two cookies, I dove into them to make sure they tasted as good as they smelled. The warm insides were complemented well by the nuts, giving it a bit of solidness inside to match the outside. The classic but chocolate chip was the better of the two but the chocolate chocolate chip wasn’t too far behind! The line for a cookie wasn’t too long and well worth the wait.

Absolutely loved the cookies at this bakery. My favourite was the oatmeal raisin one, as it was a little less rich and decadent ;). Nonetheless, the chocolate walnut was also lovely, with its big chunks of walnuts and high quality chocolate chips (of which there was absolutely no shortage!). If you want an exceptional baked treat or cookie this is the place you are looking for! All of Levain's cookies are unique and special. This has been such a wonderful addition to the neighborhood - I feel fortunate to be able to shop here on my visits to Harlem. It's a tiny place and requires patience at times. No wonder that it is #1 for bakeries. If you want a traditonal cookie this is not the cookie you are looking for but if you want the best cookie ever go for it. Levain's cookie is amazingly delicious! It's ginormous and you can eat it in little pieces for two days or moreeeee (I do that) and it won't be dry or weird. Levain's cookies are unique. They are a New York must try experience. Oh, my mouth is watering now and I'm so far from New York.

9.10.17 - it's like heaven in your mouth. Their cookies are more like cake- or brownie-cookies. Don't be surprised if there's a line, long or short, it'll move fast. It's crowded at the counter, but the staff is nice and patient. In addition to cookies they serve cake and prepared foods, too. Credit cards accepted. Each cookie is about $4-$5. Not too sugary, ample nuts and chunks of chocolate, and large. You'll want tonkeep coming back!

The rich aroma as you walk down the steps into the shop is a warm welcome. The walnut chocolate chip cookie is pegged as the best chocolate chip cookie in NYC and it does not disappoint. Order a glass of milk or coffee to accompany it for the full experience. The oatmeal raisin cookie is also top notch. The line is long, but it moves quickly. There were about 30 people in line outside and it was only about a 10 minute wait. It's worth the wait.

Delicious, warm cookies where the choc chips on the inside are melted. My partner and I bought one each however they are quite rich and filling so we could have easily just split one. Having them with a glass of milk tops off the experience! We went to the original bakery on 74th however there’s a bigger second store that has recently opened on Amsterdam Avenue that apparently doesn’t have a queue. Definitely put this place on your to the list!

Is it small? Yes. Will there be a line? Probably. Is it worth the hype. Absolutely. Of all the overrated bakeries in the city, Levain isn't one of them. I've tried their chocolate/walnut (most popular) and dark chocolate. Personally the dark chocolate is amazing. Also the cookies heated up the next day are still great.

Try it on the spot when it's still warm or heat it when you are home. The gooey chocolate chips with the rich chocolate cookie makes a perfect match in heaven. I've also bought the chocolate chips walnuts cookies, slice of banana chocolate chips bread and the sour cream coffee slice. For my hand warmer, I ordered the Valrhona hot chocolate which is one of the item on chocolate festival each year.

This place was recommended by my aunt and I have heard that it was one of the best cookies in New York. It's a very cozy shop that doesn't look like a powerhouse. But I am so glad we made the mission out to get these cookies. Ended up getting 2 of each kind: chocolate chip with walnuts, oatmeal raisin, chocolate peanut butter and double chocolate chip. They came in this nice box, all individually wrapped and still warm. The crisp on the cookies when you first bite into them, then the warm chocolate chips melting into your mouth. The cookies themselves feel dense, and it would have been amazing with a nice cold glass of milk. There are other pastries and goodies that Levain Bakery makes, but I will make a trip out of those cookies whenever I'm in NYC

The cookies are delicious here (a little heavy) but the brioche with chocolate chips was the real star for me! My mom got an iced coffee and was happy with that as well. I'd recommend it to anyone, the wait shouldn't be too bad (I've been a few times and only wait 10-15 minutes). Service is friendly and efficient. They have four flavors of the cookies, the best one in my opinion is the chocolate chip walnut followed by the chocolate with peanut butter chips. There's very little seating and it's very crowded inside, so it's best to buy your goods and then eat elsewhere.

5$/cookie is a lot. I expected to be wowed. The inside of all 8 cookies I bought was gooey, not fully baked. Maybe everyone else likes this type of thing but I prefer some solidity to each bite. Not crispy but not gooey. Also, a cookie should have a subtle hint of salt, super faint but present nonetheless. The old Blue Chip Cookie company from the 90's was the best example of this. This isnt it. And finally the cookies were sickly sweet... not worth 5$ a cookie in my opinion.

Honestly the best cookies I've tasted. If you come to NYC, this is the one place you HAVE to visit. I was visiting New York for the first time, and the first place I visited after getting off my train was Levain Bakery. I went on a Wednesday at 9:30AM, so there was no big line out the door or really any line at all. The shop isn't HARD to find, but it isn't easy to find. It's on a basement floor level, so keep your eyes peeled. I ordered two chocolate chip walnut, one dark chocolate chocolate chip, and one oatmeal raisin. I loved them ALL. All the cookies have a beautiful crispy outer shell, but theres a soft and warm middle. The chocolate chip walnut has a great amount of chocolate and the walnut addition is a great texture combo. The dark double chocolate was a chocolate lover's delight, and it's the first one I ate. What surprised me is the oatmeal raisin. It is the best oatmeal raisin cookie I've eaten. It's not too sweet, but there's a creamy, buttery and cinamon (?) taste of the dough. In every bite there's a lot of raisin, and honestly I would go back and order more of the oatmeal raisin. It was not dry, and I saved half so I could eat it back at home (19 hours later!). If you warm it up in the microwave for 10 sec, the inside gets nice and gooey again. Seating is very limited, so it's better to eat outside and enjoy the weather while eating a warm cookie. Overall, when I come back to NYC, this will be the first time I visit again. The service was fast and great and worth every penny (and calorie!)

Yum!! Best cookie I have EVER had!!! I was sad the weren’t selling any classic chocolate chip cookies. There were only 4 cookie flavors. We got dark chocolate with peanut butter chips and chocolate chips with walnuts. They were both AMAZING! The dark chocolate cookie almost had the texture and flavor of a gooey brownie on the inside. They were both a little crisp on the outside and gooey (but not raw) on the inside. Between the 3 of us we ate 2 cookies and it was very filling. Will DEFINITELY go back!

The cookies at this bakery are really good, they’re a bit filling though so if you’re planning on having dinner, try not having these cookies before because you’ll probably be full. I tried their dark chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. We were able to make it to this bakery JUST before closing time. We had to go quite a bit out of the way to get there. (Our hotel was on 6th Ave and 32nd Street). But we just HAD to try one of Levain's famous cookies. Unfortunately the chocolate chip was sold out, but we got the Chocolate chocolate chip. We had just finished dinner so I saved it into we got back to the hotel. Once I had a bite, I immediately wished we'd bought more than just one cookie. It was soooo good. And totally worth our travel time. When you go, buy multiple cookies-- you'll be glad you did.

Oh man these cookies are just unreal. I will say they're almost TOO good - too rich and delicious and I can never finish a whole cookies myself! I can barely eat half! (In one sitting... Oh it does not go to waste!) I recommend getting a few different ones so you can try the different flavors - the double chocolate and the normal choc chip ones are just out of this world. There tends to be a line but its okay burn a few extra calories and stand there, it'll be worth it considering what you're about to eat!!

I feel like it's a cookie that was taken out of the oven before it's cooked all the way through and I'm not mad at it. It's damn good. Definitely the best chocolate chip cookie I've had! We had an artichoke and guyere flat bread for a quick snack and it was crispy, cheesy, and delicious. Hidden from view off the main road, blocked by the corner grocery store is a hidden gem of a cookie shop. At $5/cookie, they are worth every cent. Get 4 to have them packed in a box. As someone who has eaten many Chips Ahoy! cookies and freshly baked cookies (by good bakers of course) in their lifetime, Levain Bakery falls on the better side of the spectrum. But I was trying to find the WOW factor that most reviewers seem to imply. Yes, Levain Bakery probably makes the best cookies in NYC, but this is how freshly baked cookies taste like. Where is the WOW factor that my grandma can't do with her oven? I guess the WOW factor comes from the fact that 90% of other NYC bakeries can't seem to maintain a level of freshness that Levain Bakery is so good at. I got one of each cookie type and my favorite was the classic chocolate chip and let me tell you...these cookies pack a punch in taste and in mass (they're unbelievably heavy for its size). Upon reading some reviews, one review struck me, so I would like to make more aware of this issue to whoever finds this important: Levain Bakery have used "high gluten enriched bleached bromated flour." Interesting stuff when you look into it. Unfortunately, I don't know if they still use this ingredient. -update- The owner replied back to me and stated that all Levain Bakery shops have stopped using bromated flour last year. Hooray!

My wife and i stumbled across this place after we finished a couple of hot dogs at Gray Papaya just a few minutes from Levain. We each got a cookie (choc chip walnut and an oatmeal raisin). Holly cow! Best cookies we’ve ever had. They weigh about a 1/4 lb. each and are so moist and chewy. We also split a blueberry muffin which was also good. The cookies we got were still warm with the choc. Chips melting. This location is a hole in the wall but so glad we found it.

Located in the Upper West Side, if you love cookies then you should definitely visit this bakery when you're in NYC. These cookies are so chunky and made fresh. It's very filling because of the size of the cookie. The chocolate walnut chip is popular choice for your first time here. It was a bit crowded inside so there wasn't much seatings left. Very quick and friendly service though. It's a really good treat to bring back from your trip. FYI - They also ship their cookies outside of NYC. It was ironic when my office received these cookies as a holiday gift so I was pretty excited to get to try them again.

[Delivery review] The good: These cookies are giant, chunky handfuls of bliss! And when I say handfuls I mean it - they must weigh close to a pound per cookie, which is nothing close to an Oreo's size. Don't count calories, because these bad boys are decadent in all the right ways. Massive chocolate chips or peanut butter pieces and baked to perfection, with surely a healthy portion of butter. The end result is a soft (but not-too-soft) cookie that can easily be split by two people. Heat it up and the end result is divine. The not-so-good: The price! Luckily we received the cookies as a gift package, so we didn't have to pay. But after looking up online for potentially buying gifts to send to others, the prices are quite high. In-store is one thing, but 4 cookies for $27, not including shipping or tax, is quite another. $40 for shipping 4 cookies to someone?! I mean, they are little piles of heaven, but jeez.

These cookies are quite popular and came highly recommended by several people. We were worried about how long the line would be, but it wasn't bad. There were maybe 10 people ahead of us and we only had to wait about 5 minutes. It's a very small place and very crowded inside. There is a small counter you can eat at but no chairs. They only have 4 flavors of cookies. Since I don't like chocolate, the only one I could get was oatmeal raisin. My dad makes my favorite oatmeal raisin cookie. I've never had one that comes close the being as good but this one did. The raisins were moist. The cookie was crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside. It was a fat cookie. If you like their flavors, I definitely recommend coming here.

These cookies are good, but I had sky high expectations for them and they just fell short. They are good, but they are not the best in the world... and I'm not sure if they should even compete in the cookie category as they are best described as a kind of cookie/cake hybrid. They really are very good for a cookie/cake/thing and I don't think you could be disappointed with one. I also got a take-away hot chocolate and that was above-average too. One thing to note: These cookies are a meal in themselves. Very, very filling. We had them after a hot dog from nearby Gray's Papaya, but I don't think I could have fit it as a dessert after anything more substantial.

The cookies are delicious, no doubt. But they are not really cookies, more like gooey brownies. I tried their dark chocolate chip cookie and it was yum, but a bit too sweet for my taste. If you are averse to sweet things, you have to try their Oatmeal and raisin scone. I was surprised by how sumptuous it was, the right balance of sweet and savory. I will definitely go back for that scone alone!

We always say that we will try the banana bread (we heard it's super delicious) but every time we get there we just can't say no to the cookies. Be careful, very addictive! My first time trying their baked cookies. It was cooked fresh and we had the chocolate chip with walnuts. I found the cookie to be quite rich from the amount of chocolate but might be pleasant for chocolate lovers. The dough was tasty though with the walnuts. There's limited seating in the place with a bench outside that you can sit down in. Prices are quite reasonable.

These cookies are delicious, huge and crunchy. Hence why we don't even have a picture of the cookies. You wait for such a long line and then pay a whole $4 for them and then they're warm and you just need to devour them before they get a little cold and even later if you save some for later they are so delicious. My boyfriend I think they're the best cookies in the world but I believe you can always find better or different... So worth the wait and make sure you get there before 7 when they are about to close there's usually a bigger line

Long lines out the door, however fast and efficient service. I waited about 10-15 minutes but I'm sure the wait may be longer earlier in the day. I visited the bakery for the first time in the afternoon and by that time, they sold out on a bunch of their most popular items. Cookies however were still there. Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookie - served warm. Slightly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside with warm gooey chocolate. Takes more like a scone than a cookie. It was good but not something I'd crave to have again. Definitely worth a visit to try at least once when visiting the city though. Double Chocolate with peanut butter cookie - Not as warm as the chocolate chip cookie and the peanut butter chips are not gooey, but with the chocolate dough mixed with the peanut butter, it was pretty good! Tasted more like a brownie with peanut butter than a cookie.

The chocolate chip walnut cookie is amazing. The are pretty big, so you end up with a crispy outside and a chewy almost a bit raw inside that reminds you of delicious cookie dough. I wasn’t a fan of the hot chocolate (maybe it was too much sweetness in one visit) but the cookie was just great. Cookies are 4 dollars each and you can pay with card.

Wow! The hype and thousands of 5 star reviews is legitimate. This is probably the best soft style chocolate chip cookie in New York, if not America. I wanted to see what the hype was about after reading amazing reviews for years from various sources. I went in late afternoon when there was no line. My cookie was just baked and warm from the oven. It's almost like a mini-cake since it's about an inch thick. It's filled with gooey rich chocolate chips and nuts. It's literally a perfect representation of a soft style chocolate chip cookie. Every bite was decadent and incredible. I've never had a better soft style chocolate chip cookie. I must return to try their other varieties. If you're in NYC area or live there this is must go destination if you're a chocolate chip cookie lover.

This place makes the most amazing #cookies! When I walked there on the weekend, I found a lot of people walking up on 74th with cookies in their hand and then I found The Que! It was a long 15 minute wait (in which I honestly thought of leaving) but was so worth it! Never have I had cookies that are so delicious! I had a chocolate chip cookie and was glad to order two! They were just so good. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside with melting chocolate chips. Just superbly amazing.
