Reviews of Pie Shop
Amanda (WhatsDaHype)
Desserts are my weakness. I had so many questions for the cashier because the options available looked so tasty. I settled on the Carmel French toast, I think. It was sweet but good for me. Smooth texture. Great pie crust. It tasted good warm or cold. It’s not cheap but I would definitely try them again if I were in the area.

Vegan pie options?! Yes PLEASE! We stop here every week or every other week and they seriously have the best fresh pie slices!!!!!! Whether it’s late at night or morning - they’re serving pie! The chess pies are amazing too!
david turvene
I saw Pip Blom playing there and bought a ticket. The band is huge in Europe and ending their US tour. I expected a big venue. It was on April Fool's Day so i was suspicious. I walk into this small store, selling (you guessed it) pies, and asked, suspiciously, where the band was playing. The guy behind the counter said the gate will open when they're ready upstairs. The gate opens and we get instructions from the bouncer (masks, vaccine card, etc.) When I walked up the place was really small. Small crowd, great bar, top-notch music and I was standing right in front of her.

Delicious chocolate chess pie! The filling tasted like fudgey-goodness. We loved it!! Only recommendation is the crust around the top edge was really dense and rock hard. It did not reduce our overall enjoyment of the pie but we did skip trying to eat that. We will definitely try other pies too!
Andres Valenzuela
The pies were good. We got the cinnamon apple and French toast pies. The apples were a bit rubbery however and the crusts on both were soggy. The filling was more of a custard. It was definitely an interesting experience. They were tasty but are they worth $8 a piece plain with nothing extra like ice cream? Maybe, maybe not. May give it another shot one day.

The pies are SO good. I was very happy they had sweet and savory vegan options. The bartender was kind and flexible enough to make me a mocktail even though there aren’t any on the menu. And it was delicious.
They also have shows/events here! I went to Pies & Pasties, a burlesque show, and let me tell you, you should go watch burlesque while eating delicious pie. 10/10
Emily Luthra
Great blueberry pancake pie. Cherry pie was not as flavorful. Very nice staff! They will heat the pie for you.
Lissy Y
It was absolutely amazing quaint spot that made homemade pies downstairs and the bar w/live music upstairs. Got to see my friend Mutlu perform and he did not disappoint.
Shyrie Edmonson
Always nummy pies. I got a Guinness beef pie with a yummy roasted apple chess pie. Beer and beverage selection is fine with 4+ drinks picky me to choose from (hops are bad). Music upstairs with decent sound system and outdoors between sets.
Unni Krishnan
Good for a quick bite. They usually have a couple of vegan pie options in both savory and sweet sections. Beer selections are limited. Wish we could order from the bar upstairs.

What a hidden gem! Love this Venue. Only thing is if you’re short def try to get early so you can see the stage or you’ll have to stand on the benches on the side which is also a great view
Rose Croshier
My god. Best crust I’ve ever had. Triggered an absolute crisis in pie self-doubt. Will I ever be able to replicate this masterpiece? Am I doomed to spend gobs of money, making a semi-regular pilgrimage here? Steak & Guinness pie, fruit pie. Highest recommendation.
Sonja
Great pie, friendly staff, would definitely come back to check out the music.
Rebecca Clement
Really fun place—the Christmas decorations are amazing and the live bands upstairs are really cool. They have both savory and sweet pies with delicious crusts. I loved the tofu curry-served at the perfect temperature and just the right amount of salty. I would also recommend the chocolate pecan. It’s very tasty and not too sweet. I want to come back and try ALL THE PIES!
María Marshall
This pie company is definitely dangerous for all you dieters. Have a slice and it will keep you returning for more. The crust is different from what I'm used to, but nevertheless helps keep all the filling from making your pie fall apart when serving it. Try it out when visiting DC.

I'll be the 1st to admit that pie isn't my go-to dessert (I'm more of a cake guy), but when I'm in the mood for pie, I usually end up going to Pie Shop. their pies are *the best*. the crust is nice and flaky and the filling is always flavorful. I always have a hard time deciding which one (or two) to get. this time I decided on key lime (perhaps my favorite pie of all time) and roasted apple cinnamon chess. all I can say is OMG!!
pairs well with gelato from Pitango or ice cream from Ice Cream Jubilee.... just saying.
Angela Drake (Not Your Average American)
Absolutely delicious! I had the SMOG (steak, mushroom, onion, Gruyere) and my son had the STF (sausage, tomato, fennel). We highly recommend both. Ended with my first ever chess pie... What took me so long?
Priyanka R
We got the date night deal which was 2 savory slices and 2 sweet slices. Nice option lets us try stuff! We got Hot Rod (my fave), chicken pot pie, pumpkin pie, and chocolate peanut butter chess. All of it pretty good!
John Knippenberg
Their savory pies are delicious, and there are several to choose from. Then they also have several sweet pies and quiches too. Vegan friendly.
Dana W
This place is very deceiving. When you walk in you think it’s a pie shop. But go upstairs and it’s a whole vibe. There is a stage and bar. Love music positive performer. The drink prices are not bad. Parking was hard to find but street parking was scarce.
kelly freespirit
This place is amazing!!!! The best pies I ever had in my life at first I was very skeptical about the pies. Until I tried my first one savory, sweet,or quiche they’re all my favorite. I definitely love the date night it’s where you get to savory pies and two sweet pies and two drinks for about 30 bucks can’t beat that plus cool karaoke. If you like urban eccentric Vibes mixed with a little rock ‘n’ roll this is the place for you. They also added a new upstairs lounge which you can visit and hang out. Only disappointment is they need to bring back the lunch special.
Love you guys PS Shelly is the best Manager!!! I love her.
LaDartaye Person
Very cool assortment of savory and sweet pies. I got the curry chicken pie which came with a nice side salad with balsamic dressing. Delicious! They also serve alcoholic beverages so that was a plus!
Wynette Jones
First, the pie!!! The chicken pot pie was amazing. Definitely going back for more pie. There is also a great bar / music venue above the pie shop with a rooftop deck. Excellent selection of beer. I'll be looking for more shows to attend.
Jami Ha
I had the SMOG. It was kind of dry and wasn't cheesy at all. The steak was cut into way too large pieces, but the sauce I did have was very tasty. The crust was hard and flavorless. I'd heard they were pretty good so I'd like to assume I just had a fluke pie. The pie filling tasted much better eaten with the salad. I do however wish there were tomatoes instead of red pepper on the salad. Salad dressing was great!
Haley Preski
I absolutely love this place. its so unique. the pie is great, the shows are always amazing, its a cool little place and i definitely recommend seeing a show or at least stopping by for some delicious pie!
Ethan Bradley
Great venue!! There's a porch out back so you can listen to music and drink outside.
The pie is great, too!
Eloy Perez
Pie was amazing and the atmosphere is great! There’s a second floor with a nice bar and sometimes live music. Definitely come here for a chill Night and delicious pie!
Thomas Grothe
played a show here, got the goat cheese quiche and it was delicious. acoustics are very good and the sound guy is awesome. outside deck is a huge plus.
Nat Pila
Please update your hours. On Google and Doordash, it says that you've been open since noon. No one's picked up the phone when I called and my Doordash order was delayed for an hour before I had a Doordash delivery person call me to tell me that the store was closed.
The pies are good, but please update your hours.
Benjamin Denny
Fantastic live venue. Incredibly intimate, yet not overcrowded when ticket capacity is reached. Great sound, great lighting, great bar. Very kind staff.
David Brenton
We got two pies delivered, the chocolate one and the caramel apple crumble. Huge fan of the apple, was awesome warmed up, seasonings were great, crumble was on point. The chocolate pie was almost like a brownie pie (not complaining). Overall solid, excited to check out the live music at some point
Arianna Vranas
Great pies! I got a piece of the mixed berry and had it for dessert over the course of two nights because of how generous their slices are! 🙌 …
Morgan Feldon
For a place that specializes in pies, the pie crust is dry and tough and seems to have no butter. The fillings were decent enough.
Bryan Underwood
I love this quaint spot, great selection of quiche, savory (I had the SMOG:steak, mushrooms, onions, and gravy) and the sweet chocolate checkered pie all for $15! I was stuffed. This is definitely a steal!
Vicki
Pie shop is one of the hidden gems in DC. You walk in and it's a very unassuming bakery that serves amazing pies. The smog or original chicken pie are my favorites. Every dessert pie I've had is fantastic. Upstairs is a music venue, bar, and awesome rooftop area. The service is always pleasant and the vibes are always fantastic.
andre perkins
Really a great selection to choose from. Comfort food at it's finest with very nice options.
Hurist Morgan
Love their pies with the SMOG being my favorite. In addition I really like that they serve a good portion of greens with their savory pies. Makes a really good meal.
jo alexander
Good food, but the events are poorly ran. If you aren't one of the first 6 people in the room you are stuck with very short stools to sit on. It's clearly overbooked and no way to see the stage if you dont have a seat on the sides. If you think I'm exaggerating look at the pictures.
TLDR: Food=good, event space=bad.
Zachary Reshovsky
Excellent pies - I've ordered both savory and sweet pies from here. The crusts are crispy, the meat is succulent, and the cherry fillings I've had are the perfect mix of tart and sweet. The only thing I would recommend is slightly cheaper prices if possible. 8-10 per slice is a bit expensive.
Jennifer Thorpe-Lewis
Small seating area. Pie was good. Will return to try a savory pie.
Megaforce Omar
Great atmosphere for shows. Staff are outgoing and respectful. They have a nice patio on the top level to go between bands to hang out. I have not tried the pies yet, but hear all of them are good.
Alex Spearman
Great pies and service. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. This isn’t just any bakery. The Samoa pie is one of a kind. Can’t wait to try more.
Alyssa Curran
LOVE the sweet pies here!! So many choices, all good.
Meg Durcan
I mean, there is a pbr/pie $5 combo deal. That really says it all. Creme pie is delicious as well. Perfect late night dessert spot.
Elisabeth Hediger
Cool place with a large selection of pies with traditional and more unique flavors. Tried the blueberry pancake batter pie and loved it!
Patricia Schneider
I live in Idaho and my son is now living in DC, it is our family tradition to have pie instead of cake for birthdays. I called the Pie Shop and they had 2 different versions of his favorite pie so i ordered a slice of each to be delivered. There was a mix up with the delivery but both the Pie Shop and chownow went out of their way to make it right. My son got his birthday treat and it was delicious. Thank you.
Me E
I LOVE pie shop! I don't want to say what their best pie is because I don't need anymore ppl contributing to it being sold out all the time LOL but def a gem spot for pies 😋 …
James Holland
Pie Shop is always a good time, something about pies bring out the best in folks. The SMOG is my go to but I've had just all of their pies, savory and sweet. I love how you get a small fresh salad with a simple but delicious vinaigrette dressing with the savory pies. Makes for a very good meal. When available, get the pancake batter pie, especially the strawberry one, outstanding. Good value for your money all the way around!
Colette Johnson
Offers sweet and savory pies and quiche. Very nice staff! Wish they had a little more selection of quiche. The quiche I had was delicious and came with a small green salad.
Garrett Cordell
GREAT!! I went to go to the old Dangerously Delicious Pies, but this was the shop there and they were just as good. They are not serving people at the door you need to order online, but since this was unclear and I knew what I wanted they made an exception. It was a pleasant surprise that a salad came with the slice and was greatly appreciated.
Hanna Ozbeki
Right place, right time kinda thing. I was eating next door and was craving dessert and thankfully the pie shop was next door and didn't close till 10 (which I feel like every dessert place closes early nowadays). So I was very thankful when I saw that this place was open. And it was such good pie 😭. I got the apple cinnamon chess pie and wow *baker's kiss*. It was amazing and it was perfectly spiced.
Carrie Cothran-Williams
We got the apple crumble and the summer berry pie. They were both delicious but if you have to pick, definitely go with the summer berry!
Alẹc Bẹrry
I had some pie (spinach n` cheese quiche, actually), then saw a great show upstairs. Three local bands for $10, well worth it. Later, I hung out on the back deck where I got to meet the bands! I'll be back
Dorea Reeser
The pies here are AMAZING, and they have vegan options for both sweet and savory pies. I've had the berry, blueberry and strawberry rhubarb pies, and the latter is my favorite so far. Also the crust is incredible. Also the bar upstairs is awesome and had a huge patio in the back with a decent beer selection.
Daniel Bieber
Large selection of amazing taking pies. Girl Scout cookie Samoa flavor is even better than the cookies.
Leigh Hernandez
Worth the years I waited to make it here... Flaky crust, great vibe and excellent customer service! I will be back.
Meagan Erickson
All the pies hit the mark, both savory and sweet. Easy online order options for pick up. May look a little pricey but you get your taste and fill with each slice.
Nick Vargish
Full disclosure, I'm a fan of pie in general... And this place is like a slice of delicious paradise. Excellent crust, rich fillings, creative seasonings, the dairy pies are a good meal. The lemon meringue was close to perfect. My only significant complaint is that it's too hard to choose from the tempting selections! I didn't even get to try one of the quiches...
Warren Grace
I don't know how else to say this: if you find yourself near any of their locations or their food truck, buy something. I haven't had a bad pie yet, and I've had savory, sweet, and quiches. The crab quiche stood out, they have the best chicken pot pie I have ever tasted, and the chocolate peanut butter chess pie was otherworldly. Their best pie is probably the blueberry pancake batter pie - stop doubting and try it, it will make you rethink pies.
Stephen Germana
4.5 stars - went here on a Sat afternoon. Got the SMOG, ratatouille, crab quiche, and Berger cookie pie. The savory pies were very good, warm throughout without odd pockets of cold food (I’ve gotten this a few times with other pie places I’ve been to). Ratatouille was quite fresh as was the SMOG. I was very hesitant with the SMOG because I don’t love steak, but the worker suggested it and it was def the right choice. Crab quiche was very crab-heavy. They didn’t skimp at all. Cookie pie was good, but I don’t love sweet pie, I went for the savory pie. I give it 4.5 rather than a straight 5 because it’s kinda pricey, especially foe the sweet pies, but I feel a 4 would be somewhat unfair. I def plan on revisiting.
Ameerah W
Very unique. My bf and I went on his recommendation because he saw it once while in the area. We ordered a variety of items to try. The 2 savory pies and quiche we had were delicious, they also came with a side salad. The staff was wonderful when it came to helping us choose our dessert pies. We chose 4 slices to take home, all of them were delicious. It was a cool experience. We will definitely be coming back!
Joe Ryan
Absolutely delicious. We had savory pies this morning but we'll be back for sweet pies soon!
Korpo Successful4Life
The name says it all...it is Dangerously Delicious. Whenever you are in the D.C area it is a must that you try these pies. Let's eat😋 …
Joe Austin
DANGER DANGER this place is extremely addicting. Reminds me of the pies at The Raven in Bath UK, except that these are much lighter and delicate. Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend the Guinness pie. Meat was melt in the mouth tender, sauce was tasty but not too salty or fatty as it sometimes can be in a pie like that, don't get me started with the crust. If you had a shop in MA, I'd stop by once a week!
Elisabeth Bertram
Pies here are awesome! They nailed creamy nutty pb chocolate deliciousness AND tart cherry.
Evan Nevermore
We went for a show in the pie shop area upstairs. We grabbed some pie while waiting, they were all quite good. My favorite is the chocolate cream pie. The savory pies are served with a small salad which was an added bonus. The prices are reasonable for the size of the slice that you get. Parking can be tedious depending on the time of day but that is to be expected for D.C.
It's a cute little shop, great for a date.
Erica Is Living
This place is seriously yummy !!! It has really good sweet and savory options. The sweet option comes with whip cream or ice cream and the savory comes with a salad. I highly recommend the crab pie !!!
Dominick Raimato
Amazing food that fills you up. Savory pies are packed with flavor and are hearty. Savory pies also come with a side salad. Sweet pies are abundant and appeal to various tastes. I recommend the fruit pies, but sampling various ones I found there was not a bad one in the bunch. Make sure to take some to go and enjoy it later!
Matthew Muir
Date night special is one of the best deals around. Two generous servings of pie -- one savory, one sweet -- salad, and a drink x2 for $22. Hot Rod potato pie was excellent and hearty as promised.
They've renovated since I was last there. A lot more table space now, and nicer to sit down for a meal!
Cress pies aren't my favorite, always choose the fruit pies as your sweet option in my humble opinion.
Wesley Mahmud
I love this place! Best pies in DC! If you're lucky enough to find the food truck, congrats. Otherwise the storefront is open until 3am on the weekends so it's a perfect late night meal after staying out clubbing on H St as well as a perfect after work slice. With great savory meat pies as well as sweet fruit pies, even quiches, you're in for quite the treat with this one.
Tina Marie
The savory pies are excellent. The chess pies are a treat. I highly recommend to all of my friends visiting DC. The company has made some changes over the years. I am holding my breath praying they survive. I enjoy them so much.
Well, to the owners and team at Dangerously Delicious, thank you for being so darn awesome. As a customer I know your pies are made and delivered in excellence.
Chris Miller
Dangerously Delicious has pies for every occasion. Meat or vegan, savory or sweet--you name it!
Elizabeth Anderson (elizabethan)
These are the best pies I've ever had. They are a great price and so many options it's hard to decide. I will be back to get a slice again. The last time I came I came when it was almost 2 in the morning so it's a great place to get a slice late night. I got the apple crumb which was delicious.
Christina Campbell
My sister suggested this place and we were not disappointed. These are great pies and taste even better heated up. We all got sweet pies but if you order a savory pie it appears that you got a salad with it (when you ordered in).
Will definitely return to satisfy a sweet tooth or even to try one of their savory pies.
zvi LikesTV
Aptly named, the pies are delicious. The service isn't dangerous at all, the counter staff was nice to me on a week day afternoon. They do serve alcohol as well as coffee. Savory pies can come with a refreshing green salad, not overdressed. I confess, my favorite pies are probably the quiches.
The only real complaint is that the music is overwhelming and the interior is noisy hard surfaces. Not really a coffee shop you go to for reflection or writing a screenplay.
Evan Andrews
Great pie, great drinks. Lovely venue for a show
Ian Kitterman
I've been going to Dangerously delicious for years and all of their savory pies are fantastic. If you go on the weeknight they have a date night deal that includes drinks, two savory pies pieces, two sweet pieces, and side salads. I'm a big fan and highly recommend.
Aaron Lager
Literally the best spot in DC for delicious, thoughtfully prepared food at prices that are a total steal. Their pies are to die for and their service is amazing! If you’re looking for a classic memorable night with friends or a date, head there for a bite to eat followed by drinks and live music. Can’t beat it!
Alec Berry
I've been getting late night pie here for years, and they got 'em. Sweet pie? Yes. Savory pie? Yes. In-between (quiche)? Indeed. I have not tried every pie (yet) but so far I have not been disappointed. I also frequent their new(ish) upstairs music venue, which has already become a DC institution.
Rachel Dodd
Best pies we ever ate. The whole band got fed & NO BS, everyone got a different pie & every single one was the best pie we had ever eaten. Don't mess up & miss out. And the crew are THE BEST!
K M
This is one of those places where it is easy to eat way too much because it's so good and so filling. (Two slices of pie was more than enough for each of us.) They do both savory and sweet pies, whole or by the slice. My personal favorite is the chicken curry pie (rice in a pie never tasted so good).
Chris Harris
I was really unhappy with the sweet pies. The savory pies are a different story, they are delicious. The BBQ Pork, Chicken Pie and Ratatouille were outstanding. That said, they really turned me off with how below average the sweet pies were. The crust was too much for the weakly seasoned fillings in a sweet pie. That same crust--from most of their sweet pies--is used on the savory pies though and it stands up so much better. In sum, grab dinner here and find dessert elsewhere.
Marin Ruelas
Amazing pies and lots of options! My family has been coming here for years and their awesome pies never let us down - both the sweet and savory options! The pies are made fresh on site each morning and you can have them warmed up there! They also have a super friendly staff and some indoor seating.
Karissa Eckert
We actually ordered from Dangerously Delicious Pies through Uber Eats and that worked out great for us.
Everything we got was wonderful. I got a quiche, my husband got some sort of steak pie, and my son got a piece of cherry pie; everything was amazing.
They delivered quick and the food was hot and amazing. Also very reasonably priced! Would definitely eat here again.
MatchThePot
My son brought three pies from here when he came for a recent visit - Spinach & Goat Cheese, SMOG, and Chocolate Pecan Bourbon. All three fantastic!
Alexandra K
Overall, great sweet and savory pies! I would definitely recommend the Chocolate PB sweet pie and SMUG (steak and mushroom) savory pie. I would not recommend the BBQ pork savory pie. It has pork (and nothing else), and the BBQ comes on the side, so it's very dry. They should add more ingredients to it, such as coleslaw.
Emily Bartlett
Pie was delicious, staff were helpful, atmosphere was relaxed. I couldn't have asked for a better experience at a shop completely built around a love for pie.
Drop in for a quick bite, bring a friend or a date, or take a piece of pie to go. Better yet, buy a whole pie!
Razz V.
The restaurant smelt awful when we arrived, I had to hold my nose. Not sure if someone used a dirty mop or if an animal died.
SERVICE: I would rate.....6 of 10, only because when we walked it we wait a while for someone to come to the front cashier to finally realize we were there. Otherwise, the employee was great.
FOOD: I enjoyed it, it was good. I'm not a big fan or pies, and I actually enjoyed meat in my pie. I recommend they should make a larger menu, there weren't many options, just a handful.
I also recommend playing music the atmosphere was pretty dead and dry as families sat there. Pretty quiet place.
Justo Cabezas Jr.
This place is utterly amazing. I wish I could find the photos I took of all the pies I've ever eaten here when I lived in DC. It's a great place to walk to after you've had a fun time at Rock and Roll Hotel.
The pies are unique, creative, and delicious. Some friends were visiting from FL and I brought them here and they were astonished.
My favorite one is the Baltimore Bomb pie, it's completely satisfying. I just saw they have some new pies here and hopefully I can visit DC again soon and try those out.
ROCKSTAR 4EVER
A great place for music....and the pies ain't bad either!!!!
Fred Wells
This is a place that you must try when you're touring around downtown. The savory pies are delicious with tender, buttery, flakey crusts. I loved the lamb and steak pies. The dessert pies are absolutely fantastic. I really liked the pecan pie and plan to try the chess pie on my next visit!
Alexandra Harrell
Seriously my favorite place to eat in DC! The pies are all amazing including the sweet ones. The barbecue savory pie is my absolute favorite. Highly recommend even for late night. Some nights during the week they have a date night special for 2 Savory pies, 2 sweet pies, and two drinks period. Just go there!
Steve Wardell
Their name says it all. Their savory and sweet pies are fantastic. They have several vegetarian savory options. For their food truck, the savory pies come with a little salad green thing. I wish this could be made into something a little more solid, but otherwise love their pies. The Baltimore Bomb sweet pie is delicious. Also love the french toast pie. The service at each location and the truck is excellent. Highly recommended!
John Huston
As our daughter was part of the evening's entertainment, we got to sample several pies beyond the ones we ordered, and each was delicious. The upstairs venue had great sound for the performers, and it looks like a nice place to re-visit in the summer with their roof deck.
David Barton
Dangerously Delicious Pies serves sweet pies, savory pies, and quiche.
The outside of the restaurant looks almost like a tattoo parlor, which makes sense when you look at the logo, which is written in a common tattoo font with a skull and crossbones under an image of a pie. Inside the small restaurant, the menu hangs on the wall. Each flavor is listed on a separate mini-chalkboard, and the chalkboards are removed when the flavor sells out.
I tried two sweet pies:
Baltimore Bomb with Whipped Cream: Loaded with Berger Cookies (a Baltimore specialty) that melt down and swirl into a sweet vanilla cheese filling
Cherry Crumb with Vanilla Ice Cream: Fresh, sour cherries with a crunchy topping of oats, brown sugar and butter
When I heard that the Baltimore Bomb was the top seller, I knew I had to have it. Berger cookies are cake-like cookies with a thick, fudge icing. When baked into the warm, buttery pie crust, they became soft, rich, and fluffy. The whipped cream was a perfect complement, but I wish I had more, because it melted quickly on the warm slice of pie.
I also sampled the Cherry Crumb with vanilla ice cream. The crumble on top was a highlight, and the vanilla ice cream balanced out the sour cherries perfectly. These three ingredients made for an extremely flavorful – and dare I say dangerously delicious – slice of pie.
Verdict
At $7 a slice (if you include ice cream or whipped cream), these pies were totally worth it. I would hit up this spot again in a second next time I’m in DC, for more sweet pies, as well as savory. BBQ Pork and Steak Mushroom Onion Gruyere sound to-die-for.
Stephanie
cozy atmosphere. not busy when i came here, and got my pie in less than 5 min. the pie was delicious, i ordered a slice of summer berry, although $7 a slice seems a little too much. they also don't have a wide range of drinks, some soda, water, sparkling water and alcohol. milk would've been appreciated. overall i had a good experience.
Will Gilchrist, Jr.
These pies are ridiculous. I’m not a big fan of the idea of savory pies but the sweet pies I’ve had have been dangerously delicious. Pun intended. Lol.
I’ve been dying to try the key lime but haven’t been lucky enough to catch it in-stock.
I’ve had the peanut butter, the apple, the Apple chess, and one of the chocolatey pies...all were very worth trying. Highly recommended.
Katherine McPhail
Step one the pies were great. So good. The staff was very nice and helpful as it was my first time in the store, the woman behind the counter gave great recommendations and I loved both slices we got. The atmosphere could be described as a sort of 2000s pop punk haven. Lots of great music played when we were there! Overall great time!
Devin Baer
So I've seen pies at bakeries before and after dinner my girlfriend and I decided to get a slice of pie, well this is NOT your average bakery!!! The large variety of pies made me wish I hadn't eaten dinner. On top of the numerous options for sweet pie slices, we had over 10 savory choices and that's not including the quiche options. After much deliberation we settled on a piece of s'mores and a classic cherry. "Dangerously Delicious" is a perfect term for these pies! I wanted to ignore my stomach screaming at me that it was full, only so I could savor just one...more...bite. To sum this up, go hungry and leave happy.
Sam Russell
Very good pies. The slices are generous, and plenty for 2 people. Tried the strawberry rhubard, bergman cookie and lemon chess. All were quite good. Strawberry rhubard was the favorite ad Bergman cookie was the least favorite. The Bergman Cookie pie was good and unique, it just came out different than envisioned based on the description; we were expecting less cookie, more custard. The crust on the strawberry rhubard was fantastic, but the filling could use a little more punch. The lemon chess was not artificial lemon, and maybe came with a bit too much punch on most bites, but when you got the right combo of crust, lemon filling and sweeter topping, it was fantastic.
Dr. Who Gives'af
Best damn pie I've ever had.
STOP putting Pears in the Winterberry!!!!
It would make me have several a week. Then I switched to mixed berry. Pear texture is rough.
Their savory pies are great. The chess pies are sweet sugar pockets of heaven.
The Baltimore bomb is an addiction.
Pure addiction.
Austin Graff
Based on the quality of the pies, I would give this place a 5 star rating. The pies are amazing and they have something for everyone from savory to sweet. I am a sucker for chocolate so I am always tempted by the chocolate pecan pie.
However, I am giving this a three star rating because of what you get for the price. It costs about $7 or $8 for a piece of pie and it is very small!
Also, on a Friday or Saturday night it could be a 20-30 minute wait for a piece of pie.
Nick Neagle
Great venue and food stop! I mean everything I ate was delicious!!! Even took more home to share. Hot Rod was perfect and the Apple and Pecan were the best!!!! The music upstairs was fantastic too. Great act and the sound was spot on. Definitely impressed and will be back.
Michael Turner
The pies were really good. We tried the smog and the boc quiche. They were both tasty and came with a nice side salad. The sweet pies look great and will have to come back to try them next time!
Rob
What can I say, Dangerous Pies is great. The S.M.O.G and the Sour Cherry are my favorite pies.
The only thing keeping this from being a 5-star are a slightly lacking experience customer service wise, and sometimes the pies are obviously a day or two old and just not as tasty. Still a great place!
Kevin Wilson
I wasn't sure if I was going to like their savory pies. I was pleasantly surprised, the pie was delicious and the service was friendly. It was a great change of pace and the portion was just right. Next time I'd like to tfy their sweet pies.
Barb Dalrymple
For a number of the pies, we loved the filling. However, an important part of any pie is the crust, and theirs is very disappointing. Not flaky at all, it's thick and dense, and 'flavorless'. It detracts from the 'pie' experience.
Boswain Shaw
Their sweet potato pie is outstanding. It’s the best sweet potato pie I’ve ever had. Pies are absolutely delicious.
Charlotte Longchamps
We absolutely love Dangerously Delicious Pies. After moving from Baltimore, we were so happy to see that our beloved pie shop was just down the street from our new place. We love the quiches, the chicken pot pie, and the baltimore bomb to name a few. I would give 5 stars if it were not for the service I received during my past two visits. Many employees are helpful, attentive, and kind. The girl at the counter today (4/12 at 6pm) was cold and rude upon arrival. The shop was empty and we picked out our pies, but she continued to clean behind the counter for 5 minutes before even acknowledging us. When she finally approached us, she snapped at us when we asked a question, and then wandered off to continue to clean, leaving us without having ordered at the counter for another 2 minutes. Luckily, another staff member helped us and everything was awesome, he did a wonderful job. I have encountered this girl in the past and her service was similar, although she didn't verbally snap at us like she did today.
TLDR: Awesome pies, awesome venue, (some) unpleasant interactions with the employees.
Anastasia Sarmakeeva
Great atmosphere, had a really nice time, especially nice outside area
Sam Goldmsmith
Ordered a pecan pie for Thanksgiving. It was really good and everyone at dinner raved about it. Thanks!
Sam Goldgeier
This place is delicious - dangerously delicious! They have a huge selection of both sweet and savories pies. The Baltimore Bomb is their specialty. They also have a great upstairs with rooftop with live music playing often.
Gregory Mitchell
We used their catering and delivery service for brunch and were extremely happy with how well everything turned out. The pies arrived hot and ready to serve. Everything was exceptionally good, the savory pies were the most popular. Very little setup and no clean up, deffinately a great potion for hosting a party in your home.
Hakan T
Cool place with delicious pies and live music. The terrace is spacious and cozy.
Lady B
Savory pies are so delicious. Had the Spinach and Goat Cheese Quiche; tasted the Thai Curry Pie and the Crab and Cheddar Quiche. OMG, all the best! Had the Chocolate Pecan. It was okay, and my sister said the same about the Chocolate Peanut Butter. I didn't get to try the CPB for myself, though. I enjoyed much more than sweet, but I see why the restaurant has so many "Best Of" awards. Friendly service and simply delicious recipes in pie form makes the spot comfortable for visitors and hometown folks alike.
Kirsten Moy
We've tried several pies now. Will keep coming back for more! The individual servings are perfect, but a full pie is a real good time. Tonight we devoured a guiness steak pie and the chilled samoa pie. The crust is perfect, and the heating at home instructions are ready to follow and right on the box. Highly recommend this spot.
Sam Odle
The pies are delicious. I’ve had the pork BBQ and the steak mushroom pie and my goal is to try all of them. The venue upstairs is surprisingly fun for its size - there’s a bar, a stage, and an outdoor area.
Robert Rains
One of the draws to the bustling H street corridor is its unique dining options and Dangerously Delicious Pies fits right into the neighborhood’s “sweet” spot with a mix of sweet and savory options. DDP also hosts a cozy concert venue and full bar on the second floor that is perfect for stopping in while out on a Saturday. But, make no mistake, the venue’s dining fare is its core strength and the selection of pies is impressive. Well worth a trip.
Andrew Glendening
Tried 2 sweet pies, the Cinnamon Apple and Blueberry Pancake. They both tasted like pie. Nothing special. I'll have to come back and try one of their savory options. Seating is limited. Looks like it used to be a bar or something.
Taneesha BeBe
I had the Apple caramel crumb. Absolutely delicious!!! You have the choice of having your "slice" warmed or not and either eat- in or to go. I had mines warmed to go. Their slices are no ordinary slice you'll get from anywhere else. To be correct it's not a slice at all but more like your own mini pie lol. You will not be disappointed😌😌😌
DKJohnson *DerekSpeaks
God is good & these pies are slap your mama delicious! I felt like speaking in tongues as I ate each bite. Initially, I thought that this was just a dessert spot until I got clarity by a knowledgeable staff member who was extremely passionate about the pies. So the savory pies are your meat & veggie meals much like chicken pot pie style without the bitter doughy aftertaste. Rather, these savory pies are impeccably flavorable leaving your tastebuds blanketed with a heavenly coating afterwards. These pies are no joke! I had the curry chicken savory pie which was supreme. I kept humming mmm mmm mmm because it was sooooo good! I polished it off with a slice of peach pie which was very good, just not more delicious than my grandmother's. A slice of savory pie cost about $9 while a sweet pie (the fruit pies) cost about $7. I'll be back again for lunch or date night (Mon. - Wed.) where you get more pie for your bucks!
Doja D
over all it’s pretty good. $7 is hefty price for pie but the slices are HUGE and the crust isn’t really ever soggy unless you let it sit for too long. However, the second time we got pulled pork bbq pie was pretty salty and didn’t taste like bbq as it did the first time we had it. The chicken pot pies have this crazy weird flavor and are not good AT ALL. Savory pies come with side salad and a vinaigrette (which is toooo acidic) it’s a filling meal. The apple crumb & caramel apple crumb are always good although without the caramel the crumb is a bit dry.
Sergio Stone
YES! Not only sweet pies, but savory too!
Huge slices, yummy side salad (especially at 2am when everything is closed ✌️)
The staff seems to rotate way more than I can keep up with, so I don't often feel extremely personalized, but they're usually very pleasant.
Keith Heard
Excellent savory pies and quiches, of what I tried, would like to go back and try some that weren't available that day. The dessert pie I had was not what I had hoped for, but perhaps what was being advertised (I've never heard of a "chess pie" before): it was not a smooth, creamy filling, but a flaky one.
Prices and service were good, make sure to use the door on the left when coming in, don't try to use the one in the center.
Rico Harris
I've always loved the pies and such but never knew they had a stage and bar upstairs. Just went to a punk show and had a blast. Great staff, great people, great vibes. And the pies are still amazing!
David Rosenberg
My wife and I are considering moving to this part of town, and we've been to Dangerously Delicious Pies a couple times while house hunting. I really like the place. The food and atmosphere are both good. I've had a BBQ Pork pie and a SMOG (steam mushroom onion gruyere) pie and loved both. I've also had a couple of the desert pies, most recently a chocolate banana pie, and I've been a fan of these as well.
They appear to serve local (DC and Baltimore) beer. I haven't had any of it, but I like seeing it.
Jennifer Turiano
Hands down best pie place ever, with the best variety of pies. Also the best place to go when out on H Street looking for some delicious late night food. The SMOG and BOG pies are my go-to, as well as the Baltimore Bomb and Sweet Potato pies ❤️
Philip Diamond
Steak mushroom onion gruyere cheese (SMOG) pie incredible, however was underwhelmed by many of their other pies. Key lime pie also lovely.
Find the chess pies (apparently some of their best sellers) to be not very nice.
Tried two locations and had very mixed service experience. At the main shop the server walked out to take a call after taking the order (but didn't pass it on) so nobody served us for half an hour. When I went up to ask, the manager apologized and immediately attended to us, gave us ice cream and three slices of pie to go.
There was also a beggar who kept coming into the shop while we were trying to eat and the staff just ignored him for a half an hour while he begged from patrons in the middle of the restaurant.
Good manager, some nice pies (the smog is the best savory pie I've had), but a few service issues that I hope get addressed.
Sully Manda
Great food and great music. Quiche was amazing and the chicken pie was even better. 40 bucks for a whole pie is my only problem and I get it quality is there....but c'mon maaaan.
Mark Schubin
Can't beat the "Date Night Special," Monday through Wednesday nights: two plates of savory pie (or quiche) with full salad, two dessert pies, and two drinks, all for $23 total. My current savory favorites are the sausage-tomato-fennel and the steak-mushroom-onion-gruyere. The live music upstairs can be considered a bonus or a bit of a nuisance, depending on your taste. A free streetcar from Union Station gets you there (and back).
DC A
Came here to The Pie Shop to see my friend play a show here with his new band. This place wasn't here the last time I saw a show in DC 24 yrs ago. I just moved back home to MD from San Diego and wanted to see a live show. This was a great place to see a band. Who knew you could see a live show and eat pie!! Totally recommend a visit here soon
Elizabeth Kendig
Super tasty! Never even knew there was such a thing as pancake pie! Every bit of it was absolutely delish! It takes skill to make a yummy crust like that. Awesome! Can't wait to try their savory pies too. 😁 …
Tiffany Williams
Small, hipster venue, with good pie. I've been here several times and will definitely go back. I usually stick to the classics when I'm here, ordering the chicken pot pie and the apple pie. Both are good. The apple pie is a little different in that it has a ton of thinly sliced apple pieces instead of thick apple chunks. Still good! I've also had the peach pie here - which was ok but really made wish they offered peach cobbler instead. I recommend going at the start of the week and taking advantage of their couples special - one savory, one sweet, two drinks special for about 20 bucks. Worth it!
Gregory Moran
So delicious, every time; totally worth the calories. I recommend any of the berry flavors, warmed, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top... It's also best to plan for a walk-about afterwards, to burn some off some calories. And yes they will do carry out.
Ellie Elle
The sweet potato pie wasn't awful, but the chicken pie was not good at all. It was bland (I had to ad my own seasonings) and the chicken was EXTREMELY dry. Too expensive for the quality.
Yoli A.
The Baltimore Bomb pie is my favorite, but it is very rich, so be forewarned. This place is so good I gladly and willingly justified spending 30+ dollars on a whole pie. The savory pies are excellent as well.
Marcia Van Camp
The savory pies and the sweet pies are so good. I wished we lived closer to eat here all the time, especially the SMOG pie!
Trena P
Great pies! I highly recommend them. I drive 30 minutes to get a slice of pie!
Kenya Allmond
On the weekends the lines are long and out the door of the tiny little place. I avoid it then but when I can get in I tend to go for the savory pies. My favorites are the chicken pot pie, the SMOG (steak, mushrooms, onion and guyere) and the pulled pork. Those in particular are delicious. I also like the crab and cheddar quiche. They serve them with salad if you eat in and that makes a great meal.
T. Demetrius
Had the quiche at home the next day rewarmed very nice! The B.O.G
Zoe Heineman Khalap
SMOG steak mushroom onion and gruyere cheese savory pie was full of excellent beef! We did the $30 date night special for 4 slices of pie (2 savory and 2 sweet) and 2 drinks (beer and wine). Excellent service and quality. Open late.
Rashid Darden
I attended the David Bowie Music Video Dance Party at this venue. I did not eat, so this review is solely about the ambiance as an event venue and bar. So basically I liked it! The upstairs bouncer was friendly and the bar went pretty far back. There was an outside deck that was really spacious. My bartender was fair with the alcohol. For the actual event space, toward the front of the room, there was enough room for 20 or so people to dance comfortably. The audio/visual was crisp, clear, and loud. I can see myself returning to this space in the future.
Seg Son
My umpteenth time at one of my prime haunts. I bring the family now. Great crust. Moist quiche. Fruit pies are the best. Space is the only thing lacking. I'd join a meal plan if they offered.
Sonya Deloatch
Visited after a late dinner for desert. The key-lime pie is my personal favorite but all of our orders were delicious. They also offer savory pies such as; steak, chicken, and veggie pies.
Janet Hooe
Some of the best pies I have ever tasted and I have tried quite a few over the years- I like to think of myself as a pretty good baker but there is no chance that mine taste this good. If you go you must try the pancake batter pie! Its amazing!!
Mr V
Those pies are a hazard to your waistline. They have savory meat pies that are a Willie Wonka style assault on your taste buds. If you are up to some warm fruit wrapped in a tender flaky crust, they got you. Need something different in a chess, meringue, or custard, check out the menu. I was happy at the table and happy with my “to go.” They’re not magically, but are dangerously; approach with hunger.
Jonathan Grant
Great selection of pies that are all great so far as I've experienced. There's even some vegan pies for those who can't have dairy (or are vegan). I suggest grabbing a couple and sharing; there's no way you'll be able to decide on just one.
Sagar Beroshi
I overate here and then felt very sad because I couldn't overeat some more. The Baltimore Bomb is definitely worth its stellar reputation, but the other pies are to die for as well. I really want to try some of their savory pies, but each time I go, I become weak to the sweet options...
Definitely worth a visit!
Rachel Antonio
Amazing pies. Great date place. Super cool. Trendy. Edgy. Did I mention delicious? I think the name itself explains a lot. This is not your ordinary run of the mill pie shop. These are pies made by people with tattoos who know how to bake. Go for the famous Baltimore Bomb Pie and rock it out with a sugar crystal Marrionberry Pie.
J. Sage Raindancer
Tasty as usual, a bit surprised by the name change. The menu seems the same. Nonetheless, a variety of sweet & savory pies to satisfy your taste buds.
WV Dave
They have a nice selection of sweet savory and even meat pies,w discriptive names for take out or eat in. Up stairs there is live music and a bar w smoking outside. Price is reasonable for DC.
Andy Zaidi
The slices are more than generous, and both the sweet and savory flavors are fantastic! 🥧 😋 …
Emily Jackson
Love, love, love Dangerously Delicious! I can't speak much to their savory pies, but their sweet pies are amazing. My favorite is the chocolate peanut butter chess. As a Floridian, the key lime is also legit!
Sara Mazariegos
A great variety of flavors. The staff is friendly, flexible and helpful. We are getting married in October and can't wait to have Dangerously Delicious Pies in our wedding! Yum!
Alexandra M. Dickinson
Dangerously Delicious Pies has got to be one of my favorite additions to H Street NE in the past few years. When you need to channel your inner Agent Cooper - the cherry pie over there does the trick. That they support their fellow Baltimore based business (National Bohemian) with delicious deals helps a lot - as does their plentiful vegan options (which means I can actually bring any of my friends there!).
Great for a date, a quick bite or a dangerously delicious dessert :)
Adam van de Kraats
Saw a concert here and it was a blast! Prepare to crowd in tight because the space is very small but it lets you get up close with the band!
LaShana Calloway
This place was AMAZING!!! I had the chicken pot pie and the French toast pie for dessert and both were great. HOWEVER, the French toast pie literally FELL APART in my mouth!! If you love pies and you haven't been here, do yourself a favor and find your way here!!
Helen McCulley
The name really says it all. Come get a savory or a sweet piece of pie or both. I don't know how many times I've eaten pie for three straight meals not just because this place is so close to me, but because it is really good.
David Pittman
These pies are indeed delicious. I started with pulled pork, and finished with chocolate pecan. The pies were yummy and the portions were generous. The service is minimal but that's what I expected.
Lauren Winter
I bought my boyfriend a chicken pot pie. He was not excited about it. He told me he hadn't had chicken pot pie in 10 years but fine, whatever, he'd eat it because he was really hungry. ...He ate the hell out of that pie and described it as "unexpectedly delicious".
I said, "No babe. Look at the box-- it's *dangerously* delicious."
My favorite part: eating fresh pie without having to know how to cook pie.
Katie E
Sweet, savory, pies you've head of, and some that might be new to you, they have them all (the Baltimore Bomb was the standout). While the selection might be a little slim the later in the evening you go, what you get there will always be delicious. And the staff is always quick to get you the pie you're after.
Eliza Allen
Both savory and sweet pies are delicious. The crust is the best part. The slices are a little pricy but filling and savory ones come with a side salad. Also I like having room for desert here =)
Alex DiCaprio
I have had vastly differing experiences eating here. I have had tasteless sweet pies and delicious savory pies and vice versa.. I will probably give them another shot, but for now I prefer Pie Sisters over Dangerously Delicious Pies
Amber Kamilah
Not at all what I expected. I don't know what sorcery they used to make the blueberry pancake pie but perhaps they could use it on 45 and his administration to make them sweeter and more palatable. Pancakes are hard to be improved upon, yet this pie they made was akin to a caterpillar turning into butterfly. It left me in a stupor. How did they make this happen??? To the chefs at Dangerously Delicious Pies, I hereby submit this as a formal entreaty that you use your powers for an even greater good and turn your attention to a few blocks down and transform this administration into a greater, heartier and more judiciously solid substance. Please and thank you on behalf of all pie-loving people.
Casey O'Rourke
Spinach Goat Cheese, Bacon Onion Gruyere, Ratatouille, and Bruiserberry were all huge hits at a recent party. " these pies are no joke" "whoever made these knows their business" the crust is incredible" hot rod potato is another favorite of mine, as are chocolate and coconut chess!
Taryn Rogers (The Traveling Bartender)
I have never heard of pies being dinner however I was pleasantly surprised. The steak/mushrooms and cheese pie was amazingly good. Was there for the first time for an open mic show and I loved it. The bartender upstairs was awesome! I will definitely be back!
Stacy
Roasted apple pie and burger cookie pie were both great! Even better if you put ice cream on top!!
JD Gray
My wife and I came here for lunch on the last day of our trip to DC and we couldn't be more pleased with our choice. The atmosphere is unique and the pie is incredible. A definitely enjoyable experience for any pie lover.
Ron Pigeon
Delightfully delicious food! Love the selection. Check out the bar and patio upstairs and don't miss some great bands playing in the new space. Good size stage for a full band and a good sound system with great staff.
Lydell C
I always come here whenever I'm in DC and grab both a savory and a sweet slice of pie. Pie.. both dinner and dessert. This is the only pie shop I frequent anywhere. So much selection. I try something new everytime I go here and walk away satisfied.
J. Colton Thompson
This place is great! You can get pies by the box or by the slice and they are open late. I can't begin to count the number of times I've left a show at the Rock and roll hotel and grabbed a slice of pecan on my way home.
Charles Griswold
Certainly popular. Good but not exceptional pies. I'm spoiled by my wife's pies which are the best in the world, so if your mom was a horrible cook you'll love these. A bit pricey.
Jamie Minchin
Great pie, great live shows, lovely staff. Bring cash for covets, very much appreciate that they're checking COVID-19 vaccination status to keep everyone safe 👍🏻 …
Twintastic Four
I would like to try the fantastic pies here one day
Ryan McGowan
I’ve enjoyed every pie I’ve bought from them over the last few years. They also have good customer service. I ordered 3 slices to go once and one of the pies was not what I ordered so they went back, pulled my receipt a gave me a refund. That’s good service to me.
Christen McCluney
One of my go to places for great pie. They have both savory and sweet selections and quiche. If you happen to be near them on the weekend stop by for the crab quiche. It's outstanding.
Dave Stoker
I don't know why I waited so long to try Dangerously Delicious; waiting was a mistake. I really loved the SMOG pie, (steak, mushroom, onion, gruyere) it was like a steak with a side of french onion soup. I wouldn't mind more gruyere in it, but it was great. Each slice comes with a side of mixed greens salad. I will definitely be back.
Sam Keske
Visited after being ranked DC's top pie place. Good variety of sweet and savory options (sweet are more popular, but savory are still solid). Filling portions. It's ok to get more than one slice!
M U K T I . D E S A I
Went with a group of people so we could try out a bunch of different pies. Unfortunately, they were all disappointing. We had the apple, the peanut butter chocolate chess and the pecan chocolate. None of them were great and definitely not worth the $6 price tag. They were all just too thick. The googey part of the pecan pie was overwhelming and the chocolate peanut butter one basically tasted like an average brownie. The apple one was ok, but you could buy something just as good at a grocery store for a fraction of the cost. The one upside was their delicious Irish coffee served with some of the best homemade whipped cream I have had.
Mike Calia
I'm gonna be honest here. Dangerously Delicious Pies is quite possibly the happiest place on Earth. While the uninformed may claim that this honor belongs only to Disneyland, I say that such a statement would make someone quite ignorant. Can you get a delicious guiness steak pie paired with an absolutely intoxicating pecan pie for an extremely reasonable price at Disenyland? Probably. I've never actually been to Disneyland. But you know where I have been? Dangerously Delicious Pies. I can guarantee that the ratatouille pie at ol' DDP is at least a billion times more enjoyable than the offensive Disney movie that shares almost the same name. Technically, I haven't seen the film, but I don't need to. I hear the film comes with valuable lessons, but I don't care. The moral of THIS story is that if you don't like Dangerously Delicious Pies, your opinions are irrelevant.
Marla holland
One of my favorite places for pue.. I love these ladies they created a Pie shop that everything is delicious..Anything you try is going to wow your taste buds
Liam Davis
Great bar upstairs love the vibes
Charles Heckscher
The name is accurate. You can make an excellent meal for eight from a main pie and a dessert pie. The staff are friendly and give good advice about cooking times.
Jim Stone
They are a pretty cool venue but not the best I've ever seen.
Thad McCormic
The name is true. was expecting good pie, got an absolutely delicious pie. Can’t say enough good things about the friendly staff, cool music area upstairs, and of course the great food. love this place
Manuel Colón
Seating is a little cramped in here. So, if you're party is more than two, consider another location. However, their food is great! One slice comes with a small salad, which could be plenty to fill a person. Though, a better option would be to get one savory and one sweet, just to be sure.
Peter Lougee
So. Many. Pies. From the traditional to the "I never would have though of that" pies, Dangerously Delicious offers something for everyone. For dinner, I'd recommend the Smog, with a hefty slice of Baltimore Bomb for dessert - it's made out of Berger Cookies!
Gayden Druschel
Best pies ever. We even got dozens of them catered to our wedding! Our favorites are the mixed berry, apple, raspberry, and summer berry.
Bianca S
They have every kind pie you can think of! It was amazing! My friends and I got different pies and shared amongst the group. 5/5 would recommend
Miss Kim
Celebrating its upcoming 7-year anniversary of casting crowd-pleasing spells, the Atlas District location of Dangerously Delicious Pies continues to grace guests with perfectly orchestrated sets of sweet and savory comfort food in the form of a pie.
Reminiscent of a local dive, Dangerously Delucious' No Frills design sense and limited footprint jolts your expectation of a pristine, meticulously designed DC space. Flipping the perception on its head, savory flavored pies burst in and take center stage--kicks up the tempo and directs your tastebuds to rock out.
In direct contrast, the sinfully sweet Apple Crumb Pie serenades your taste buds (and upon sharing the colossal-sized single serving) leaves an irresistible and sultry urge to smooth out tunes of culinary goodness. Dangerously delicious indeed.
Reema R
Got the pecan pie... Definitely not delicious. I respect that everything is made by hand with good ingredients, but the crust was really disappointing- chewy and thick instead of buttery and flakey. I hope this was just a bad day for them
Ryan Walters
Everything was great!! We Had the Date night special with the Savory pork bar-b-que and the SMOG, with the chocolate peanut butter chess and apple crumb sweet pie for dessert!!!! Deliciousness!!!!
Erik Krause
Food was great, sound in the venue portion was amazing, and they went above and beyond to provide what they can for the bands. This is how you run a music venue!
Angelica Morales
DDP is the local pie shop you didn't know you needed. They have sweet pies, savory pies and quiches to dine in or to go. Perfect portions, great prices.
Bradley1
A splendid pie shop and an equally great bar venue! Clean with great selection!
Domineau Wiley
A little overpriced for a pie.
I asked for help wrapping it to transport on a flight to Africa and the employee insisted the box would keep it safe with doing nothing extra. I carried it on the plane and it was destroyed.
Bummer for such an expensive pie.
Virgil Donaldson
This apple cinnamon bites pie though... damnnnn! I got to have it in my life.
Melissa Cecchine
The Baltimore Bomb pie is da bomb. It's a must try. Buy a second piece for the road but it may not make it to your kitchen. They are not cheap but very good. Also if you can snag some of the strawberry rhubarb pie when in season it's for shizzle. Unfortunately I've only had it once and been craving it since but don't see it regularly. If on H St for dinner, hold the dessert and go here.
Jonathan Silver
Savory pies ,not the sweet pies, are the way to go. The SMOG and pulled pork one are the best. The quiche is also great for last minute breakfast or brunch.
Ac Mitchell
I hate when someone plays on my intelligence! I ordered a slice of sweet potato pie NOT it was pumpkin! I know the difference! I called the store and they said it was sweet potato NOT NO
pentley holmes
Place is awesome. Pies are good and the upstairs is amazingly cool nice stage with nice lights and sound! Take a picture out backed next to the pie shop sign! Totally instagram worthy
JC Kollmorgen
So good. The Baltimore Bomb is my current favorite. I treat myself to a slice whenever I'm in the area. Can't wait to go back and try the pancake batter one.
Erin Davis
Super cute pie shop! I wish there was an option to get half a slice of pie as $7 is a lot for a piece I can't even finish! The peach pie was amazing!!
Matthew Naughton
Who doesn't love pie? If you answered "I don't. I don't love pie." Then I guess this place gets one star and the satisfaction of knowing that, once you've read this review, they will never have to meet you.
Lindsay Cameron
Tried the roasted apple, chocolate pecan, and samoa. Each one was better than the last. There's something for everyone here. A definite must stop for pie lovers!
Katie Bowyer
Amazing pies!!! I'm dairy free and was amazed they had options for me! The whole family was happy with their pies- even though they were a bit pricey.
Tasha Mroczek
Hands down, best pie I’ve ever had. Key lime. Do it. Also, great ambiance and music venue. Staff is fun and friendly. Keeps me coming back over and over again.
L. Zhǎngsūn Brown
They have an awesome selection of savory and sweet pies -- the specific choices change daily, so check the chalkboard for specific options that day and the printed menu for the details on each pie -- and will heat up your slice if you ask.
Fatboy withkickz
The pie is good crust was a little dry but overall a very decent pie slice
Ayesha Alhazzaz
Big collection of pie’s , must sour cheery
Ashley Ruffead
Great meat pies. Basic salad but the dressing was good so we gobbled that up too. I had no idea this place was here - what a great find!
Pandu Harimurti
Nice pies, quick service. A good option for late night hunger
Christine Paluch
Coconut and Peach pies have been incredible. While there prices are high, the price point is actually justified by the taste. Few pies are this delicious.
Jacquelyn Zimmermann
Totally DELICIOUS. Had my favorite savory, STF, and my favorite sweet, pecan, with vanilla ice cream. Super helpful staff. And I learned about the Monday-wednesday date night deal. GO!
Cody Spangler
AMAZING FOOD, AMAZING BEER! Would go here once a week if I lived nearby just to try all the different kinds of both sweet and savory pie. Also a very well-curated selection of beers!
Joe Glenn
The pies are very good, with a thick crust. Only complaint, little pricy @ $36 for a 9" apple pie.
Max Souders
I’ve tried a few different pies but the SOUR CHERRY IS SO GOOD. Add that to great drink specials and late night hours on the weekends - this place is awesome.
Stacy S
Love both their savory and sweet pies. I also love that they sell Natty Bohs, even though this location isn't in MD.
Jordan Broly GS
Really interesting dishes. Amazing concert space upstairs of which one would have not imagined until occupying the space. Good drink selection and (for this event) a really friendly community to party with
Mark Krueger
Oh my God.....the Best pies. From their savory pies, I just had the BBQ Pork, to the sweet. The very best. Mom would be jealous!!!!
david halprin
I had a great time. Great venue to see bands and the pies are awesome.
J Foodgeek
Good pies, by the slice (or whole) and open late hours. I like the mixed berry. The location in Chinatown is not open late. Their pies are carried at ESP in Alexandria.
David Van Nevel
Selection was somewhat limited. They were sold out of a lot of items. Short staffed but those that were there were working hard. Good service at bar during show. Great balcony location.
Rachel Mengwasser
Yummy yummy pies of all kinds. They have savory and sweet selections and I never regret any of the choices I make there.
Jesse campion C
Awesome rooftop bar with great beer list. You can order food downstairs and carry it upstairs and sit upstairs at the bar area or outside. Laid back environment.
Phillip Gray
Really nice audio / stage upstairs. The concert space is a little smaller than DC9 but the bar is nicer, the sound is better, and there's a cool deck area on the same level.
Ray Knickmeyer
Pie plus a great venue to see some local music.
monique sargeant
Awesome pies! I had the Ratatouille pie and the French toast both were great. They’re open late too!
Luis Perez
The pies are really good. The are expensive but worth it. My only concern is that their current cashier is very rude and has a very bad attitude. Is like she isn't getting paid and that ruin my experience there.
Mo Jones
We love these pies and they are big enough to feed a family of 6-8 people. Yummy in the curry chicken and chicken pot pie.

This place is absolutely fantastic.. known for the Baltimore bomb ... which is a pie that is apparently Berger shortbread cookies inside vanilla custard... or after tasting it I harken back to the magical time I lost my virginity to Mrs Jenkins in the pool house of the country club ... wow what a pie also wow what a woman .. and they have French toast pie .. even savory like pork bbq .. and s.m.o.g .. (steak mushroom onion and gruyere cheese) ...this place will be the death of me .. but what a sweet death ... you will be taken care of in here .. great place .. great people... and make sure to say hi to Keegan ... a pie shaman if I’ve ever seen one .. ty for being here Dangerous Delicious Pies ...also ... goodbye pie maiden of justice... you know you will be missed
