There aren't enough descriptive words to describe this place. Chocolate Pi is definitely an experience. The moment you walk in, you feel like you in a vintage home. The dessert cases are always filled with the most beautiful, and extremely delicious, creations. Kim is beyond talented and skilled in her craft. I highly recommend a visit here, IMMEDIATELY!

A friend of mine bought me delicious dessert of Blue Lady cake and brown sugar chocolate pie. Today he surprised me for dessert again, but brought me to it. This small treasure has a lot of character. The antique furniture and tea cup collection in the decor grabbed my eye as I walked in. The macarons were a close second. Then the cutest cake decorations delivered the final blow. The owner was showing her awesome customer care to her current customer while she kept acknowledging us with eye contact and body language. I had time to see that cake and pie, while her big sellers were not the only thing. There is homemade ice cream and then espresso drinks if you are looking to have a dessert date with someone special, or friends. Tonight I chose the homemade pistachio ice cream. There are layers of flavor that I cannot express for you to fully understand. Go here and support this local small business. The reward will truly be yours. Oh, and we tried the coconut cake also, strawberry and blueberry ice cream. Really, if you have a palate for exquisite taste, you've just found your dessert place.

This place is the definition of quaint. Small yet friendly staff. Very quiet atmosphere. Perhaps a bit too quiet for some people. The music was hardly noticeable. That being said the atmosphere feels like your great grandmothers kitchen. Welcoming and soft. The desserts were great. A bit on the over indulgent side but everyone’s tolerance for sweets is different I suppose. It’s not somewhere I would go out of my way for but if you are in the neighborhood I would definitely give this quick dessert shop a try.

This is hands down one of the best bakeries in Tampa. I ordered a cake four days before my event and Kim was so gracious and kindly accepted my order. And boy did she deliver, the cake was delicious and a work of art. If you want a cake that excites your taste buds with fresh fruit, extraordinary flavor and perfect texture, Chocolate Pi is the place.

Absolutely amazing! Owner was so kind and humble of her delicious bakes. Kim is a Wonder Woman! She makes everything herself-from ice cream, coffee syrup, to her scrumptious cakes-everything was just wonderful. The Blue Suede latte was so unusual and unlike anything I’ve ever had-and so so good! Such a cute and quaint little dessert shop perfect for an after dinner sweet.

Our favorite local bakery/confectionary shop for all things decadently good. We drop in for late-night sugar fixes often, but our latest experience resulted in the most delicious German Chocolate cake special order. I’m normally not a fan of this particular cake, but it was my dad’s birthday and this was his request. Needless to say, Kim and her Chocolate Pi shop has made me a believer. The cake came out larger than anticipated, so it was money well spent in all categories (taste, quality, value).

I’ve been looking for a great dessert place for a hot minute and this definitely makes the list. They had a huge assortment or tarts, cakes, pies, macarons AND coffee creations! We tried their namesake “chocolate pi” and a slice of their apple pie along with an iced latte and it was the perfect end to our date night. We chose to take our desserts to go but we will be back to enjoy the unique atmosphere created.

Cute little sweets and coffee place that has amazing macaroons, cakes, ice cream and lattes. I’m so glad they opened up again because their glitter lattes were very unique! We had an assortment of macarons but sadly they didn’t have any coffee when we visited. It’s a very quiet place and would be good to work or study from but bring your devices charged since I didn’t notice any outlets. The staff is very friendly and even gave us free water bottles since they didn’t have coffee when we visited. I highly recommend if you want a unique sweet experience.

What a quaint place! Parking lot with ample spaces. When you enter, you'll notice the charm - desserts displayed on different color and height cake stands, items are presented on all different dishes, soft lighting, old doors hanging from the ceiling. Several tables available if you'd like to sit and enjoy your sweets. It was about a half hour before closing when we arrived so I'm sure their inventory was much greater earlier in the day but we were still impressed with the options. They offer cake and pie by the slice, macarons, ice cream, specialty coffees. The 4 of us shared a slice of coconut cake, salted caramel cake, a macaron, and a slice of brownie pie. All were incredible. The owner stopped at our table to greet us and was very friendly. We will definitely return! This would be a great place to go for date night dessert 😊

This place packs a lot of quality into a small space. There is outdoor seating as well. Awesome cakes and baked goods, but what really blew my mind was the ice cream. It what's just amazing. They make their own ice cream and it really show. Great flavor and very smooth and creamy. Next level.

Unique coffee/dessert shop right next to the Epicurean hotel. They serve hand crafted coffee as well as many desert options. My favorite thing to have here is the Black Suede with edible glitter. It is a very unique coffee drink and unlike anything I've ever had. Parking can be a bit tough but there is a small reserved parking lot on the bottom floor of the garage. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone going to the South Tampa area.

The latte flavors are unlike anything you'll find elsewhere in Tampa Bay. They're not too sweet either. The Salted Caramel Rose Latte is unreal: nuanced flavors, nothing overpowering, but you do taste the floral, salty and sweet notes.

First time visiting but I have been seeing these amazing iced latte drinks on social media and decided I had to try one. The Neapolitan tasted as good as it looked. Also tried a delicious chocolate mousse tart. They have a nice selection of deserts on display. My wife said I have to go back so we can try something else!

Glad this place reopened. This is a great place for desserts! Order the Framboise cake, if you like raspberries. Delicious! Husband ordered the Rose latte. He loved it.

Very cute shop with homemade ice cream and sodas, tons of flavors of macaroons, and espresso drinks! They even give you a choice for which espresso bean you want. Definitely should visit sometime.

We ordered our wedding cake from Chocolate Pi. The price (about $320) was just about the same as Publix, however the quality of the cake was way beyond what Publix offered or could deliver. We were given a "tasting" of 4 cake flavors before we ordered. (Chosen from a list of about 15 flavors.) We picked "champagne" flavor. Many of the wedding guests told us our wedding was wonderful, and then said the cake was the best they ever tasted. One guest from Atlanta ordered one for his wife's birthday. My wife took it by plane to the birthday party (since she was going up there to visit and to the party). Note: the flowers on our cake came from Bay Bouquet on Platt Street, another fantastic business!

I almost wish I never found this little off the beaten path bake shop and Cafe. Best. Pies. Ever. Incredibly good but now I'm gonna have to watch my wasteline... They have serious baking talent. Super cute place with eclectic old-style decor. Comfortable and relaxing. Easy parking out front.

Has a very cute set up. They’re locally owned so the coffee and sweets are very fresh and yummy. The lattes have very sophisticated relaxing flavors. I had the salted rose latte, it was very pretty and had a more bitter taste, which i liked, i would recommend getting it if you aren’t a fan of more sweet coffees. I also had the raspberry rose macaroon which was also very good, it tasted kinda like fruit loops but better, it was also very pretty it had some rose petals on it. The workers where also very nice and friendly, the lady who helped me was very patient and sweet she was actually the one who recommended the salted rose latte was to me. Overall, it was a very nice and calming experience i will for sure be coming back here and introduce this place to more people. <3

Excellent. Great place to stop on the weekend for a treat. Have gone a few times and some things stand out. The cakes are tip top. The raspberry cream and the guava were both excellent. I can't say enough about them. Thankfully we only bought a slice of each. The peanut butter and chocolate tart was also delicious and I will get that again. On the cake front, I'm going to keep trying them all because there is always a new flavor that looks interesting. Decor is cool inside and the parking is nice and easy. I haven't tried their coffee yet but they have lots of coffee and espresso options.

Love this bakery. Their chocolate ganache is heavenly. Also their jumbo macaron desserts are insanely good. I had one the other day that had banana, chocolate ganache and Nutella I think. So good! The guava cream cheese cake is also incredible. Overall, highly recommend.

Incredible desserts. From the sign we thought it was a chocolate shop. Imagine the delight when we noticed the homemade pies, cakes, and ice cream!! All delicious and the owner and staff are wonderful. Don’t miss the opportunity to try one of everything.

The prices can be a bit startling,but if the two macaroons I had are any indication, then the more expensive desserts will be worth it. I’m not a big macaron fan, but really enjoyed the vanilla and blackberry ones I had. If only getting one, I’d suggest one of the fruity flavors as they have a center filling that goes above and beyond the plain vanilla. I look forward to returning to try other desserts.

When I came to pick it up, it was beautiful! My wife (and our friends) loved it. Even had someone in the restaurant ask what it was called on the menu. I explained we go it from Chocolate Pi. Simply divine! This shop is pure bliss. The commitment to excellence is evident in every corner, from the decor to their customer service to their scrumptious desserts. We tried several items from the menu: The vanilla caramel cupcake❤️The graham cracker ice cream❤️Pistachio macaroon❤️Champagne macaroon❤️ and regular coffee❤️. Chocolate Pi is a must visit! P.S. When we returned to our hotel, I placed the cupcakes in our room vault to keep them safe from our teenagers until morning. Yes, the desserts are that good!!!

This is a little coffee and dessert spot next to Epicurean hotel. It's a cute and adorable spot. They have an assortment of cakes, chocolates and macaroons. People are super friendly and love to help and offer up suggestions. We've tried their cakes a few times and found them to be dry and crumbly. The chocolates are fresh and have unique flavors.

Beautiful and delicious! Everything is made from scratch, extremely intentional, and sooooo yummm! We tried the double chocolate cake, the raspberry cake, and the salted caramel cake - as well as an assortment of macaroons. Every bite was amazing! We can't wait to go back for some delicious coffee and to try the homemade ice cream! Kim and her staff have knocked it out of the park! This past week chocolate pi made the most beautiful birthday cake for my birthday. They took the time to go above and beyond after a small misunderstanding. They communicated promptly and well with me and my husband. This small business is all about the little things and attention to detail. Seemed like she didn't want to be at work that day, but everything we purchased was amazing. If one understands coffee, you know how distinct coffee can taste from one place to another. Great atmosphere! Better desserts! Have loved nearly everything we've tried. Would not recommend the macarons, but all else was wonderful! The cakes are dense and rich. Ice cream was creamy and flavorful. All in all, great place!

Amazing! Cute pink decorated place. Delicious guava cake and the icing was not too sweet, which I find typically happens if I don't make it from scratch at home. Tea and coffee brewed with a handcrafted flair. The peppermint ice cream is also fresh and homemade tasting. Well presented, delightful place for a sweet snack with free parking until 5pm, after that $5 valet.

OMG I am so happy that this place reopened. I fell in love with Chocolate Pi awhile back when my husbands father had a birthday cake made for me. This is one of the best dessert spots in Tampa. It’s a MUST!!! I love that they can make custom cake flavors to my liking. Everyone go here!

Took my mom here after her birthday dinner for dessert and coffee. My parents enjoyed it so much. My dad insisted he got a standard americano and ended up sipping at my mom's lavender lemon latte the entire time. The champagne macaroon is amazing! My parents loved the raspberry macaroon with fresh raspberries and lemon tart in the center. My boyfriend loved the blue lady slice of cake. You can request edible glitter for your coffee. It adds wow factor.

I stumbled on this little gem while looking for a nice coffee and dessert after dinner. As soon as you walk in the delicious smell is like a welcoming hug. Everything is beautifully displayed and the staff is as sweet as the treats. I ordered a mocha latte, a slice of dark chocolate cake and one of every chocolate they had. I talked my partner in crime into getting glitter yes I said glitter on her latte. The menu is larger than just coffe and cake so I will definitely be back to try more treats.

Heaven on Earth if you love macaroons or healthier ingredient cakes! May be a little pricey, but I only go once a month or so. I had a delightful pistachio macaroon- theirs are larger than average- and a chai tea latte. My daughter tried one of their specialty drinks called strawberry shortcake I believe, which was incredible! Parking is free as you're pulling into hotel nextdoor- the valet will direct you- no need to stress finding street parking. 😁

Very delicious and fresh! It is a little expensive though. We were a group of 11 and we sat outside and enjoyed our time. My friends got some blueberry cake but they didn't like it. Everything else was great.

I can't begin to tell about my adoration of this pastry shop. The macarons are world class but really the cupcakes and cakes are what I am drawn to. With fresh buttercream frosting and interesting variety you really can't get anything better. The shop has a refurbished shabby chic feel and is nice for a sweet break in the middle of the day. It is run by the head pastry chef from Bern's so there is no doubt that this place is steadfast in providing delicious baked goods.

I was looking for a place close by to grab a slice of cake and was pulled in by the beautiful and not so typical variety of cakes and coffee flavors. I can’t remember the exact name but I had the salted rose water cappuccino...I added in some sugar and wow! I had a bite of the vanilla cake with raspberry jam and oh my god...I’ve never tasted something so good. My sister who came with me (and happens to know a thing or too about quality cakes) got the salted caramel chocolate cake and again wow! She was blown away herself. We will definitely be returning!!

Loved it. Nice boutique cafe with very good treats. Prices are a bit on the high side, but the location demands that. Right across from one of the most expensive steak restaurants in town makes prices high. Still worth every penny. More of the "once in a blue moon" for me, but I recommend nonetheless.

Update: I understand that things happen and Chocolate Pi was very responsive and had a legit reason for the delay so I respect this and change my review. Customer service is very responsive and like I said the macaroons are delicious will give it another shot! I showed up at 12pm and saw a blonde lady enter store so I waited a few minutes then tried the door but the door was locked. I sat in my car for another five minutes and tried again but still locked and she saw me there LOL so I went to spaddys across the street for my coffee instead since chocolate pi wasnt in a rush for my business. I later called around 12:15 to see if they were open and the lady who answered said yes they've been open since 12 😑 so I drove across the street to grab some macaroons (since I was already there, I drove from trinity) and they were very good.

Experienced a cake tasting for a wedding cake tasting,(limited flavors). All 4 flavors available to taste test were moist and flavorful as well as on the sweet side. The wait time to meet with the coordinador took longer then expected , especially with a scheduled appointment. They were very detailed oriented on specific details of what the bride and groom want. They were very current and aware of styles, textures and seemed very knowledgeable of precise details.The limits seem endless ,especially if you are looking for a unique cake,and offer photos or drawn sketches of your vision. They seem to want to work with you from the base of the cake to the topper. Very friendly and diversified in all aspects. Looking forward to moving forward on our wedding cake flavor , flavors, as well as our unique Bohemian Modern Design, incorporating fresh florals and a unique wood base.

First of all. The people working there were awesome and so helpful. It was our first time and they were super helpful and patient with me. There is so much to choose from and it can literally paralyze you. But they had great recommendations and genuinely seemed excited and proud of their product. . I tried a couple of the mason jar desserts and some of the cake. It was absolutely amazing. I'm not even big on desserts and usually find then to be overrated and overpriced but these are worth every cent. Definitely recommend giving them a try! I cannot wait to go back for more

The cupcakes are DIVINE! The Red Velvet cupcake with sneaky chocolate ganache on the inside was delectable!! Much better than even the famous "Sprinkles" cupcake place in Vegas, this was fabulous! They hosted the latte art competition that my friend judged, it was packed! Free beer & wine, free BBQ, photo booth, local artist art for sale, it was super cool! The only bummer is parking... seriously annoying that you HAVE to do valet parking through the hotel and it is $5 after a certain time in the evenings, but $15 for later than that or overnight or something. All the street parking in the area that we could see was all limited to 5 minutes. I wouldn't mind going back for more of their baked goods though, holy cow, those were tasty! Everyone working there was more than politely kind, and they put on individual gloves to serve each person's cupcakes. Nice! I am living that germaphobe life, so I was into that! Super cute decor, like rustic elegance, and seriously looked like my pinterest boards threw up all over here, it was amazing. Can they do my apartment? We shall be back when in the area! Gotta figure out a better parking situation, tho.

Really wanted to support this small business....I went in just before Valentine's Day to get some items for my mother . I found these items extremely overpriced and there was very little to choose from. The customer service was extremely inefficient at helping customers. I waited 10 minutes or more for 1 person in front of me. I would not go back.

I was greeted by a slightly unpleasant rainbow haired woman who didn't understand what I wanted when I said just two shots of espresso over ice with a splash of milk. How hard is that? It's not a latte- and Starbucks (the bear!) understands what that is when you order it - a latte is not even close to that. If you are going to poke the bear, know the bear's customers. There's a Starbucks in soho I can get better coffee, food, service, and atmosphere.... That being said I'd prefer a local place (think DI coffee shop -who knows that order btw and doesn't need to clarify it) Sad. I had high expectations. Anyway the chocolate custard dessert I had was fresh and tasty though the overall experience was bad for the high-rent space and location. Nobody seemed too happy to say hi welcome for the first time or anything at all. Starbucks and Davis Island coffee shop are successful for a reason.

We got rejected as a walk up at Bern's dessert room (1.5 hr wait), so we went across the street to Chocolate Pi. Cool space, very lively, LOVED the Salted Caramel Mason jar dessert! ...and the price was a fraction of what it would have been across the street!

I like the atmosphere here. I went in for a coffee-based drink but the machine isn't working yet. I got a cold drink instead. Quite pricey. I will return next week if the coffee machine has been repaired.

Champagne macaroon alwas light and airy. Bons Bons were rather good. The dark chocolate marshmallow was delicious and a nice departure from. a chocolate covered regular marshmallow. Coffee was not good or bad...just a coffee.
