I've never been... I'll be back, every single time I return to St. Louis! It was awesome! I love the classic feel of the place! I didn't know what to get, so the very nice lady at the counter, gave me some info. I tried the, Root 66 ( malt/root beer concrete blend ) & since I'd never been...I also got the, Pumpkin Pie Concrete ( which is seasonal) It all tasted awesome! It was a great experience, & your staff made it an easy experience on a newbie. I wish I could've gotten a shirt! A+

Super fun place for a summer treat! Don’t be fooled by the crowd, the lines move very quickly and it’s worth the short wait. The huge variety of combinations makes for an experience that is never boring, and the crowd that gathers around is very friendly and full of fun characters. The staff has to memorize your entire order (no notes or paper!) and I’m yet to have them mess it up. Will definitely be back.

Made a point to visit this St. Louis staple after the Cardinals game. Sure, it's off I-44 a bit and you have to stop at many stoplights to find this bustling Route 66 gem, and parking was tight, but its worth it. I ordered the Dutchman Delight (chocolate, butterscotch and pecans) Concrete and it was a delightful treat! My wait time from line to delivery wasn't long at all. The operation is smooth and the vibe is St. Louis.

I get why Ted Drewes is so iconic. It's a classic ice cream parlor on the historic Route 66. I totally see why people have been coming for generations, taking their kids and introducing them to Ted Drewes. The ice cream was very creamy and smooth, and it was great on a hot day. Can't say it's the best ice cream of my life, but it's definitely worth checking out! Just note that this place gets popular, so expect to wait in line!

What a fantastic local St. Louis hallmark. It was chill to stop by after moving in a friend to the Hills. It seems like no matter what day or time it is, Ted Drewes has a constant flow of customers. Kind of surreal to snack on a little piece of St. Louis history with the original concrete and "turn the town upside down" (or just the custard). Thoroughly enjoyed the quaint experience of feeling the nostalgia of walking from home to the local custard shop. Super family friendly, very nice staff, and just all around good vibes here.

This place is a must if you're in St. Louis. We stopped here for an after dinner treat and couldn't believe how tasty and generous the portions were. We tried 4 flavors of concretes and each one was better than the last. The lemon crunch, the turtle, the tiramizzou, and the cinnamon ones were all superb. And I couldn't believe we got all 4 for under $20. I see why this place is an institution!
Imaad Shoukathullah
Great old fashion frozen custard. The only downside is the hot toppings are pretty hot so it melts the custard pretty quickly. Lines can be long but once you order the service is really quick.

When in Paris, you have to visit the Eiffel Tower. When in St. Louis, you probably want to see the Arch. (It is amazing.) But I would say the one thing you have to do even more than a Cardinals game or the Arch is sample a Ted Drewes Frozen Custard.
They called their custards Concretes because you can turn the cup upside down and it won't fall out. Except why you show up in July. The custard melts faster than you can eat it, so the magic trick won't work.
No matter. Ted Drewes frozen custard is the ultimate creamy deliciousness. Each bite goes down your throat in a flavor burst of icy coolness. I had two scoops of the mocha; the coffee bitterness added the perfect sharp edges to the sweet velvet of the cream.
I did not add any of the extras because I did not want to distract from the rich flavor the the custard itself. But there are plenty if that please you.
Since everyone in St. Louis knows about the place, showing up on a lazy Sunday afternoon in July is probably not good planning. But there are s12 different windows and the long lines move fast. The workers hustle!
The family opened this store in 1941 when it was on Route 66. It looks very 1950s. But the offerings like green tea macha are very 2022.
The frozen custard comes in a paper Ted Drewes cup. You eat it with a spoon.
I would brave an airport to fly back to St. Louis for some more!

We went to this place at 9. Unsurprisingly there were a lot of people lining up for the frozen custard. But unexpectedly, the custard was softer than I thought. I thought they should be as solid as those from shack shake. Will probably give it a try next time.

Went here for before the temp close. Definitely the best frozen custard you will ever have. Ever. Served concrete is the best. Never had a flavor I didn’t love. Staff is always so friendly. Service is quick. They even ship!
Highly recommend!
Alex
One of the most famous establishments in the whole of St. Louis. A must do for any sweet toothed traveller. A huge selection of concretes to choose from, all served by a great team of staff. Loved it. 🇬🇧 …
Mark DiNatale
It’s old school Route 66, it’s classic, delicious and worth the hype.
Nothing else has to be said other than the All Shook Up concrete is the bomb. Reeces pieces and bananas mixed with the delicious vanilla custard. 😋
It’s been said a million times, if you are visiting famed places on Route 66, this is a must do.
Drew Tschirki
First time in St Louis, and was led to here. Fantastic custard, various flavors, fast service and very reasonably priced and portioned. If I’m in St. Louis again I will make a point to be back!
Jason Marsh
We were on vacation in STL and heard this was a must stop. We are so glad we did!! There was a lot of people in line but it moved very fast. We had a root beer shake and 3 concretes. We all loved it and would definitely go back!!
Dee White
I'm not from St Louis but everytime I'm there I try to get to Ted Drew's for one of THE BEST ice cream concoctions any where! Today it was "Turtle" concrete - DELICIOUS down to that last luscious bite! If you have a sweet tooth you're missing out until you try one of their specialty treats.
Sammy Marie (The Skywarn Girl)
Hard to miss this place with constant crowds, neon sign, and distinctive building. A must for locals and travelers alike! Best frozen treat in my life to this day!
Lynn R
This place was on my bucket list when visiting the arch. I was not disappointed. The gift shop definitely needs tons of route 66 merchandise, but the cashier said items had been ordered but late arriving. Highly recommended! Custard was a totally unique and pleasant experience and not at all like ice cream or yogurt.
Cassandra Williams
Ordered the concrete but what I received was way to soft to ever be considered one! Good flavor. Maybe I will return when the place is not as busy to actually receive a concrete.
Prabha Karan
Once you taste the frozen yogurt at this place I promise this would become your favorite place no matter wherever you have eaten before, we initially thought we would skip this place as we saw a big line in front of us and it was sunny that day, but we somehow convinced us and got into the line, we realized there we many windows we could place orders and the queue in the line moved faster, we got the sundae’s and mocha both tasted so good, we request them to open a place at Charlotte area too. Would highly recommend anyone to try this place at least once.
Josh Baltazar
St. Louis staple, best frozen custard west of the Mississippi. Always a great coming here, the nostalgia of a summer night with friends and family is something that is undefeated
Victoria Hionis
Heard nothing but great things - top 10 of every dessert place to eat in STL and it lived up to all the hype!
I got the Mississippi Mud and it was pretty good. My son got the cookie dough and loved it. The lines were a bit long (3pm Sunday) but it went really fast.
David Mack
Super super good custard. There are so many options and they serve you so fast. I have been twice this week and I will definitely be back many times for their amazing custard and concretes.
Lori Korek
A must-stop if you find yourself in the area.
Delicious frozen custard concrete mixers, custom made to order, are served at this charming, historical, 90 year old stand on the old Route 66!
Siddique Hameed
Great place to hang out with your family!
The best frozen custard you can ever have on the planet Earth!
Dean Robinson
This place is a must if you are visiting the st. Louis area. The custard is just so great. Best I have had so far. This was my second time here since the first time in 2019. And I had to go with the Blueberry concrete. Did not disappoint. Can't wait to come back!
Jabarrus Jones
This was my 2nd trip to St. Louis and my 2nd time having Ted Drewes. This is really good ice cream. I love their strawberry shortcake. The long waiting lines are justified. Just be patient lol.
Amanda
My introduction to St. Louis when I moved here on my 18th birthday was a late night drive around downtown, and a new friend coming to my front door the next day with a Budweiser t-shirt from the brewery and a carton of vanilla frozen custard from Ted Drewes, a very nice gesture that I’ll surely never forget. I’ve been to Ted’s MANY times over the years, and though I’ve had better frozen treats, you do get an experience with your ice cream, er frozen custard here. My FAVORITE thing to get from Ted’s is the strawberry shortcake, which is cake, vanilla frozen custard, whipped cream, and DELICIOUS strawberries, all piled high in what reminds me of all the plastic containers my family members put leftovers in when I was growing up. No need for a lid, you‘ll eat every bite…even if you think, “there’s no way.” I recommend trying it with hot fudge added.
I don’t think I’ve ever been to Ted’s without waiting in line, but things move there rather quickly. Know what you want before you get to the window because that helps A LOT!
Drive the lot carefully, and expect lots of people of all ages on foot basically everywhere. Getting a sweet treat at Ted’s is a neat little experience that St. Louis has to offer, and it’s best when everyone is being courteous and looking out for each other! I find myself going to other places for frozen treats now that I have a little one because people drive a bit carelessly into and around the lot, so just watch your littles once you’re out of the car. Particularly, I see the people making a left turn in not waiting until they can slowly and safely enter the lot from Chippewa, instead they quickly drive in to beat the oncoming vehicles. Take your time, I’ve never seen them run out of treats. :)
Last tip: don’t try to exit onto Chippewa unless you’re making a right turn. Instead, head to the alleyway that runs behind Ted’s, make a right, and go down to the second street (Jamieson), where there’s a light.
I attached pics of my favorite treat: with hot fudge from a few weeks ago, and with blueberries (called an Uncle Sam) for Memorial Day yesterday.

Let’s see, it was 36 degrees, the wind chill was like 6 and guess what grandma wanted…ICE CREAM. You gotta be kidding me! It was good icecream for sure though. The service was fantastic, the toppings were tasty and the custard tasted like custard. It’s an institution so if you struggle with FOMO you better check it out. So, guess what I did the rest of the day, grandma had me boiling tea, throwing wood on the fire and I had to listen to her complain about the cold in Missouri. Maybe next time your old rear won’t want icecream in the middle of winter! Have fun, it’s yummy and be sure to tell them Granny sent ya in…well you can’t go it, it’s order at the window.
JeAnne Swinley
It was good.... Not amazing. Definitely not worth waiting in a crazy line for. I feel like this is one of those nostalgic places that everyone loves with rose colored glasses. And that's totally ok.
Elaine Chen
I got the Fox’s treat based on a mother lady’s recommendation. It was very good. I so added some cookie dough on top of it. If you like raspberry, hot fudge and Galina ice-cream, the Fox’Treat sundae would be a good choice for you. Their concrete was also delicious as well.
Beverly Smith
The best frozen custard!! EVER! If you visit St. Louis you must go to Ted Drews!! Friendly staff!
Mary Jo Thompson
Growing up in the LOU, this was a regular treat for us! Moved away a few years ago, but every trip back "HOME" has to include a stop here. The custard is delicious (in any weather) the staff is friendly and efficient.

ST. LOUIS STAPLE
If you come to STL. Louis, you MUST go to Ted Drewes! The ice cream is amazing, customizable, and you can tell they put their heart into everything they serve. So many different ways to enjoy the ice cream (sundaes, concretes, etc.).
Erin Rundall
We felt like we were “in the know” super fun. Great frozen custard. I dot a medium - a kiddie size would have been fine. I had the Cardinal sundae which was hot fudge, cherries and vanilla ice cream! Cookie dough also good and plain vanilla really is great too. Super fast service so don’t let the line scare you away. Maybe 5 minutes to get to the front- there’s like half a high school working in there - lol.
Candace Martell
I got the caramel pretzel ice cream, the staff was highly generous, and this place sells ice cream flavors you may not find else where! I definitely recommend (:
Christina N.
I love Ted Drewes concrete!! There's no place like it in town. Although I do not live here anymore, I make sure to come every year for this!
Bill Schulz
Good ice cream, quick service. With a large crowd I expected it to take much longer than it did. They did a great job of taking it order and getting it ready quickly!
We had the Carmel Apple which was pretty good and the Crater Copernicus which was ok. The Crater did not have enough ice cream for me, though there was a good amount of chocolate cake in the bottom.
I will say these guys are fun for a once in a while treat. But it is pretty far away for us (20 miles), and our local Fritz's is just as good.
Ed Loeffelman
Don't ever let the long lines scare you away from stopping in at Ted Drewes. Even when they wrap around the side of the building you will be amazed at how quickly they get you taken care of. Something about this St Louis treat/ experience is always worth I the time and never gets old. Oh, and the custard options are fantastic as well!! 😁
Jer Wilcoxen
So much fun to visit this place, always a neat sense of community here. And, of course, their frozen custard and options are the best in the STL. I don't know if I'll ever get through the entire menu, especially when everything is so darned good. I am really surprised they haven't expanded to other locations, particularly in the county; seems like lost opportunity and potential.
Barry Schoedel
I call it Ted Soups. The frozen custard is always served a bit on the warm side and melted. Greater care and attention should be given to keeping the product cold until serving. I live about a block away so this opinion is based on (too) many visits. But it's always the same, not served cold enough. I think people go there because it is iconic.
Abigail Berthold
I love it! We've been going to Ted's forever. When I'm visiting family, we always make a visit for custard. You haven't lived unless you've been to Ted's. The line looks long, but it never is. Go to the left/middle and find you way. My favorite it the Muny Mocha.
Susan Hofmann
An American icon! Delicious rich cold custard dessert that tantalize the palate. Have a concrete, sundae, cone or quart to go! Multiple flavors for all. Nestled on a busy corner, people are here hanging out enjoying this popular treat! Reasonable $. Go today.
J. Toes
StL landmark to visit. Many options, tasty. Ted Drew's always makes everyone smile. Happy food. ❤️
Brendan
As always, fast service with a smile and an amazing product! Gotta love Ted Drewes! If you haven’t been here, quit depriving yourself and go get some DELICIOUS frozen custard. It’s a “St. Louis thing” you just have to do if you are visiting and if you live here, you know what I’m talking about!
Amanda Murphy
Always delicious, and service is incredible. It doesn't matter if there's 10 people, or 50 people in line, it still moves fast. I usually get the crater copernicous but I got the strawberry shortcake this time. Yummy!!
Tyler Bishop
Great place to enjoy some really good ice cream and make memories with family. Been coming here since I was a kid and so did my parents. One of St.louis must try places.
Tom K
Cristy. Tasty rich flavors. The brownie at the bottom was a bit too chewy.
Erick Chomskis
Always good; added local flavors and a must-stop for the sweet goodness.
Mike Curtis
I have been visiting Ted Drewe’s on Route 66 for the past 15 years, every time I’m in St. Louis. My absolute favorite item is the Big Apple, essentially a slice of apple pie stuffed into their famous frozen “concrete”. This time was a disappointment though. The frozen concrete wasn’t frozen. It was a half-melted, soupy mixture that had all of the flavor but none of the texture of their famous dessert. I’m sure it was just a malfunctioning machine, but since we had driven from Tennessee for the sole purpose of eating in one of our favorite restaurants and having dessert here, to say it was a disappointment would be a major understatement. Nonetheless, we’ll be back someday for another Big Apple that hopefully will be a little more “concrete”.
b strahan
This is an institution. I must admit I only get the concretes and almost exclusively the tiramisu because it's just so freaking good. You don't have to just take my word there is always a line for Ted's frozen treats but they run a well oiled machine and will have it out quickly to you. Lastly Mr. Drewes is also known to provide scholarships to his workers for upper education. If you're in St. Louis don't miss a trip to Ted Drewes.
Adam Reinhart
I can see why it's packed on summer afternoons! The best frozen custard in the Midwest!
Kurt Wagner
Great custard and topping selections. It is cool that they take your whole group order without writing anything down and they get it right. The only problem is that they blend the heck out of the concretes so when you get them they are already half melted. A little less mixing would go a long way.
priscilla schroeder
Love their Fox trot sundae plus so many other concretes to mention, my husband loves the Cardinal sin! We have always gone there for a family night out even when I was little. It's one place my son and daughter in law always go when they visit. Also a plus my husband works for Prarie farms, he actually makes the mix for their custard. So we have to go to keep him working LOL 😆!!! This is one place you have to go to when you visit St. Louis!!
Sam Sachs
If you have any form of sweet tooth, you need to come here. Period. This place is an absolute establishment in the St Louis area. The custard here is incredible delicious and the prices can't be beat! The sizes are also massive, a mini is probably large enough for most people. There's plenty of free parking on both sides of the building and even a gift shop to check out.
Bryce Garner
An institution in St Louis. Good concrete custard ice cream.
Daniel Henroid
World renowned "frozen custard" not ice cream, with dozens of sundaes and "concrete" meaning very thick shakes. Almost 100 years old. Lots of customers but fast efficient service. Everybody lovrs it.
Sarah Hemond
I usually love this place and the cardinal sin sundae, and always stop when I'm in town. Unfortunately, The serving size was much smaller. The "regular" seemed very small.
Anne Miller
What a great place for a perfect treat! It IS a delightfully delicious Family Tradition!
Try a Stawberry Concrete with crushed Oreo Cookies!! YUMMY 😋
Kevin He
Very underwhelming but fairly priced custard with a large selection of flavors. It’s a classic tourist spot, and even though the long lines at night seem intimidating at first, they move quite quickly so it’s not really much of a wait at all.
Sam Clark
I got the root 66. It was amazing! The flavors blended together beautifully, and the custard was wonderfully creamy.
Keren Gomez
Do not let the crowds intimidate you! It may look like long lines but they move quickly so pay close attention to when window cashiers become available!
This is the worlds best ice cream & the have a trophy to prove it! I know custard is not ice cream you say but trust me once you’ve had ted Drewes you will not want just any ice cream! You will come back for more!
Make sure to take advantage of their specials & explore their excellent menu options!
Also if you get an ice cream sandwich it’s made with Dad’s Famous oatmeal cookies!!
Don’t be scared to take some to go because they will place a little block of brown paper bag wrapped dry ice to keep your treats cool for the ride home!
Terry Tornow
Nice little frozen custard place on historic Route 66. The service was quick and friendly. Custard was good. Very busy, but they work through the line quickly. Check it out when you are in the St. Louis area!
Zach M
Strawberry shortcake and the muddy mississippi w/ add oreo is SO good.
Also, it would be great if you could open on my wifes birthday - Feb. 6th :)
Agelessorca
Custard was delicious and savory. I got a mixture of coconut and pretzels but I'm sure the other flavors were great too!
Patrick Hayes
Quality tasty delicious frozen custard. Fun, great setting. Ouch prices getting crazy
Amie Heath
Wow!! Ted Drew's Frozen Custard in St Louis is an amazing treat. Ted Drew's is kind of a hole in the wall, out of the way kinda place. It's an official route 66 destination. The service and superb customer service skills were off the charts good and then you get the frozen custard and time just stops for a moment and all is right with the world for a brief moment, that delicious!! It's not heaven in your mouth buts it's an local authentic experience all around. If you're in or around St Louis, you must stop off at Ted Drew's frozen custard!!! You'll Love it!! I guarantee it
Chris Taylor
Amazing custard. Lots of different flavors and toppings. Lots of choices and they are all great. You can see the menu. I have enjoyed going here for years. Always a favorite place to stop in St. Louis.
Sarah Hannan
Best frozen custard ever. Must stop place for visitors and locals of St. Louis!
GRV
A staple in the beautiful city of chippewa. The custard, selection and attentiveness of the personnel is reasonable. If you are visiting St Louis you will definitely want to pay this place a visit.
Paula Kelly
I cant even start talking about Ted Drews without getting chocked up. I started going the Ted Drew with me sister and OMG it is the experience that I will always share with everyone that I love. When my sister and I were kids we went to Ted Drews and now as married women with kids and grandkids we still find the time to meet up to have the best custard in St Louis
Aaron Wise
If you love Custard, this is without a doubt the best place to get it. Anytime we are near St. Louis we are willing to drive an hour out of the way just to get a concrete. The only thing we could say is the concretes melted faster than they used to but it was also 90 degrees out. Overall, this place has the BEST custard.
Amy Marie
If you are driving down Route 66 & need an attraction to stop at in St. Louis, you need to go here! It’s a laid back South City favorite all year long. The line looks long, but it moves quickly. Most people standing are waiting for their orders to be called out. My favorite is The Dutchman & The Blue Note is very refreshing with blue berries & lemon curd.
Julius Caluya
You can’t visit St. Louis without stop at Ted Drews. It is a must have for anyone. The custard is out of this world delicious.
Matt Alvino
A must go for anyone visiting STL. I have yet to take a first timer that was not at least pleased by the frozen custard experience.
I regularly go with the vanilla malt and it's too notch. On a nice summer night the crowd can look daunting, but the line moves very quick. Probably due to the 20+ friendly high schoolers working the stand.
Mary Ensor
Best frozen custard in all the world. Forever my mandatory Stl stop whenever I visit family or friends. Everything is delicious but order a concrete
Avinash Salgam (Avi)
The line was long but the crew inside the storefront had the process down like a well oiled machine. Maybe saw 100 people served in 15 minutes. The custard was excellent but would have been even better to see the options available on a larger sign. Very generous portion sizes!
Benjamin White
A St Louis staple! Delicious custard in a multitude of flavors. We got Strawberry Shortcake and Lemon Crumb concretes (all mixed together). It may look insanely crowded when you show up and a challenge to find parking, but the line moves really fast.
Craig Ulmer
It's everything the Legend of Ted Drewes is said to be!!!! Expect a long line that is worth the wait. The silky smooth amazing custard is a STL staple. If you're in town and looking for something sweet this is the only choice. Unless you just want a gooey butter cake :)
Gordie Hanna
Every guide to St Louis speaks very highly of this place, and they're not wrong. The "concrete" frozen custard is so delicious! They also offer free water. Ted Drewes definitely deserves its place on top 10 lists for St Louis!
A Westerman
Ted Drew's what can I say, it's a St. Louis summer time tradition and an absolute staple in this city. Everything you order is delicious from the concrete to the plain old ice-cream. Nothing is a disappointment and satisfaction is guaranteed. 5 star ever time we go.
Mercedees Edwards
Great stop if you have time! The ice cream was great but boy was it crowded!! The only thing I would like to see different would be the cashiers writing down or typing orders. Our cashier had to ask us multiple times what our order was because she kept forgetting as she'd remember it and yell out orders for others and forget.
nsc
I truly wish there's a custard shop in California. I can't get enough of Ted Drewes Frozen Custard when I visit STL. Please come to LA! I even bought more at the vending machine in the airport before flying home!!
Jim Thacker
There’s a reason why Ted Drewes is always so busy… because they know how to make concretes! I’ve had them from other places only because I didn’t want to drive from Arnold to get a great one but never again! The 20 minute drive is so worth it! I’ve been getting a hot fudge strawberry concrete from Ted Drewes for thirty years but sometimes getting to lazy to take the drive to Ted Drewes, never again. Other places either have custard that isn’t cold enough or they over mix the ingredients and it ends up being a milk shake. Take the time to go to a great custard stand, Ted Drewes, it’s so worth it.
chad mcginnis
Wow. This is a must visit. Priced right, old fashioned custer. I had the "cardinal sin" concrete mix and very flavorful.
Update. A year later, came back on a trip and had to stop again. This year was the caramel apple pie sundae, which was partly eaten when I took the photo. Couldn't wait to dive in!

Great place to get frozen custard. A real busy place but they have mulitple windows so each line moves fast. Be careful while in line because when it is busy the lines can get near the road. We got our custards and ate them on thetailgate like most everyone else. It is worth the drive over if you are in the area. Enjoy.
Breanna Zeman
They have so many different, good flavors! There’s always a line, but it goes by super fast. Definitely a top place to visit when I’m St. Louis.
Barry Flagg
Knew we had to stop by on our trip to St. Louis. So happy we did. Wife and I had concretes and they were quite good. If you’re in the area stop by. A Route 66 must do!
Emily Sheehan
My friends and I love TDs so much. It’s my first stop when I return to St Louis every semester.
Jessica Grose
This place is a must stop. My husband has been going there as a family since he was young and we continued the tradition with our kids. The menu has so many choices that their is something for everyone. Its consistant and delicious. You won't be disappointed.
Chetan Swamy
Try banana split here, it’s the best. Mind blowing ice creams. The best in St. Louis. The prices are unbelievable. They have maintained their quality ever since. I have known people visiting this place for decades now. The place isn’t very crowded usually.
Timothy DOLLENS
Ted Drewes at Christmastime-Priceless! Got my M & M Frozen Custard! Oh how the crowds were big, but service was still fast. It was great seeing people getting their Christmas trees and other greenery. Very festive!
Rae Of Light
I can't say anything that hadn't been said before. A St Louis institution. The best way to eat a Ted Drewes is to sit on the curb or just lean on your car. Do not miss a visit to the gift shop and the cool museum next to it showing the history of Ted Drewe's.
Heather Counsellor
Highly recommend and did not disappoint. Huge crowd and expected to wait. Not the case. Very quick and friendly service. Delicious. Tons of options and choices. Tip.. Read the menu and know what you want before the line. It's fast. So good. A must visit!
Mike Luck
I went there the other day but it was closed!!
I think maybe it was because I'm getting ready to do some really awesome upgrades to the outside patio area to make it an even more FUN and enjoyable experience!
Fyi: I am a contractor but also a Ted Drew's customer (yummy!)
YAYASISTER70128
Ted Drewes frozen custard delights are simply the best. Thanks for the benches on the side of the parking lot. It's so nice to sit and eat our custard and visit with friends & family!!
Gerald Holt
Excellent treat for the family or friends. The place is very simple with walk up ordering. The lines speak for the quality of the product. There is outdoor seating with benches with a few shade trees. Parking is very limited so be patient.
Michael Perkins
I've been going to both locations since I moved to St. Louis 40 odd years ago. Always consistently good with quick and efficient service. Step aside and pay attention after you put in your order.
Jack Churchill
The best concrete 25 years running , for me, is the Tiramisu!!
Erik Schacht
Not worth the hype, but then again there aren't many options for frozen custard in St. Louis. Come to Milwaukee if you want the best custard.
Ying Luo
Best Ice Cream in town! I really like blueberry and strawberry mix which has fresh blueberries in it! I would say the simpler the choice is, the better it taste! My first time tried Christy which was just too heavy (brownies is my fav).
Justin
Hadn't had fresh frozen custard in sooo long and was so much better than I remembered and Ted Drewes proved itself to be the MASTER of the Art of Frozen Custard.. The manager helped me out with a last minute large order at a busy time and came through AQAP and was courteous beyond his need to be! Thank you for reminding me of how wonderfully nice people can be (as well as how GREAT TED DREWES IS!!
Kenneth Clayton
Just like everyone says, the best frozen Custard in the world. Try a concrete, a thick shake like concoction thats too thick to pour out. Too many flavors to mention. If your in St. Louis, you have to stop by.
James G
Wow! Just Wow!
Amazing, smooth, flavorful and just nirvana-like!
Was crazy busy when we went but no longer than 10 minutes to get our treats from the time we walked up.
It was so delicious that if I had a Scooby-Doo tongue, I would have licked my large cup to the bottom!
My wife stated "it's so creamy smooth! "
Yes, we will definitely be back for more!
Jared Cooksey
Sensational. A must stop whenever we find ourselves in St Louis. Probably the best frozen custard I've ever had. Free cups of water are appreciated on those hot days/evenings! Looking forward to coming back in the future.
Willie Young
We had seen on the internet where this place have been rated number one ice cream in the world in 2017. After reading that, we had to see what all the fuss was about. Well, I wasn’t blown away by the taste, but I can definitely say that the product was incredibly well made. There was plenty of staff to fill the orders from the huge crowd there, and they didn’t run out of supplies. In the summertime, I believe that there is “nothing worse” than your favorite flavor being unavailable. If you are ever traveling through St Louis, you should definitely put it in your travel plan.
Dwight Mazanec
Great as usual. I tried the Bluenote concrete for the first time, and enjoyed it. Blueberries, lemon curd and Graham crackers. Others enjoyed more traditional favorites like strawberry hot fudge sundaes, and the Dutchman sundae.
As usual, they kept the line moving like a well oiled machine.
3/4/22 tried an "All Shook Up " tonight. Reese's and bananas, understand why pb and bananas was Elvis' favorite.
Ben Bershad
Very good flavor and consistency to the custard. Also, this place has a lot of staff and efficiently moved the line. In from out of town and very impressed.
Ryan Smith
The reviews (and lines of customers) are not wrong - their concrete was AMAZING!! I had the Classic which includes another St. Louis iconic treat - gooey butter cake.. highly recommended!!
Brad (Pecosbrad)
While I enjoy the nostalgia of Ted Drewes and the ice cream is good with many flavors I always feel that ice cream places are typically overpriced and Ted Drewes would fall in with that observation. But otherwise it's a great place to get some good ice cream and hang out with friends or family. I appreciate they are very flexible hours and it is definitely an iconic ice cream place.
Doleata Johnson
I went to get a Christmas Tree. The trees were beautiful picked a great one. The icecream was delicious as always...Very friendly & good customer service. I love this place...
Marty Sibilia
This place is on a lot of visit St. Louis list for a reason!
The frozen custard is beyond amazing here and with some many different flavors you simply cannot go wrong here
We had the house special St. Louis and the strawberry shortcake.
Sandra Bruce
Ted Drew's has been my all time favorite ice cream place since they opened.Great malts, sundaes and concretes. They have the best toppings.Just so many to chose from.Fast service and very reasonably priced.
Misty Dillon
I've always loved coming here since I was a kid and still as an adult never a disappointment of flavors. Best Custard in the world
MusicMan Reviewer
My family St. Louis recommended this place and it did not disappoint. I can't remember the last time I had frozen custard. But if I ever had it before, it was not as good as this place. My Reese's custard was amazing. I am from North Carolina.
Jake Hyland
Ted drewes is a classic St Louis spot to get a tasty treat. I can’t stress enough how awesome the frozen custard is, not to mention all the great toppings you can add. I was recommended this place by friends and ended up going back multiple days in a row. It’s that good.
Atlas Explorer
Ted Drewes is a St Louis icon, serving up some seriously tasty frozen custard. This is a must see and must eat when in St Louis.
Boz Profit
Yum. My first time there; a good friend brought me. The chocolate custard was some of the best I have had. I was told to turn the cup upside down to show how think it is. It is a popular place, so expect a wait. But it will be worth it.
Amy Moore
Haven't been here since College Days! Now we brought our kids! Did not disappoint! Such great frozen custard! And the Dutchman concrete still tastes amazing! The kids LOVED it as well! Thanks for being a St Louis local staple!
WILL ROBERTSON
This is one of my favorite places to stop and get frozen custard. They have the best in St. Louis.
Say Hello to the City
Cute little spot with a menu that takes up half the wall outside. Ordered two pineapple shakes and they were perfect for the seven hour drive ahead of us!
Kevin Hacker (Khacker)
Last night we decided to go to Ted Drew's for a Brennan blend and a McGraw special. We have not been since the start of Covid19. We liked the way they had a host organizing the customers to the open windows. Nice touch. Maybe keep it for the future?. I would have given a 5 but the Brennan blend was a little runny definitely not turn upside down ready. Still delicious.

This place is iconic and if you are a visitor to the city or have visitors with you this is a fun place to bring them. There is equally as good - and some probably better - custard places in the city though. That being said, I had the 'Christy' which was tasty and large enough for two people.
Thanaphat Chananukul
This is my go-to place for frozen custard. I recommend the lemon crumbs or the strawberry shortcake. Great flavors and smooth yet rich flavors. This place is great to bring non STL friends or family here. People are constantly coming regardless if it's summer or winter. Highly recommend since this location is located on historic route 66 as well.
Gale Toko-Ross
O.M.G.! Delicious frozen custard treats! A St. Louis institution, Ted Drewes is an experience you can't miss. The parking seems challenging, but cars come and go fairly quickly here, so be patient; the people lines move easily, too...it's worth it.
The Cardinal Sin has always been my favorite...tart cherries and chocolate, plus a bit of St. Louis "color". You can finish it yourself if you're up for sugar shock, or share with a friend. The Dutchman's Delight is also a delicious choice (chocolate, caramel, pecans, whipped cream...and LOTS of decadence!) Of course, everything is good...there's something for everyone.
Well worth the trip...if you've never been, you need to visit. If you have been, you know you want to go! Highly recommended...
Jessica Gross
The best frozen custard! So many options! Worth the wait if there’s a line. My favorite is the Christy.
Volonda Watson
I had a banana Split. It was wonderful. They didn't skimp on the toppings. Pineapple, Pecans, and chocolate syrup. Yum yum good!!
Tooba
I ordered the lemon crumble and it was amazing. I think the flavors hit some sort of nostalgia for me. My parents and sisters ordered the banana split, the strawberry shortcake, and some mocha thing. They were all good. The short cake one came with cake on the bottom! The mocha one was good but we ranked it last. The banana split easily fed two people and it was $6! Our other concretes were $4-5 each but it was a fair amount and hand mixed. It really was an experience above all, one I would like try try again. We even got their magnet! It was just $1 :)
Francois Hewing
Best custard EVER!!! People come from all over the world and it is worth it!!! I Love this place.
Aliya Nursabrina
I mean it's the famous Ted Drewers 😍 …
Eric Byers
Great custard, reasonable prices and good serving size options. There's almost too many options but lucky for us there are menus all over the place. The lines looked long but moved very quick. Keep an eye open there were lines on the end that were a lot shorter but everyone seemed to gravitate towards the middle.
Overall it was good eats and I would go again just didn't have that OMG this is the best ever to rate it a 5.
Jon Devlin
Great - enjoyed people watching (so many cool seniors on road trips!) as much as I did my custard. The apple pie & cinnamon concrete was amazing.
Callie Koehr
Frozen custard never fails🤤 If you come in the summer be ready to scarf it down! It melts quick! I got vanilla custard with devils food cake and fudge on the bottom and whipped cream on top. It was called Crater Copernicus. I don’t think I like frozen custard on my cake but it was still good! I think I’ll stick with my usual Reese’s peanut butter cup sundae next time:)
emmaster
Pretty good! They don’t skimp on toppings which is nice. But I don’t think it really lived up to the hype. I had never had it and with all the overwhelmingly positive reviews I guess I was expecting more. Good custard, but not worth waiting 15-20 minutes in the heat.
Suzanne Holzer
What a great place for absolutely awesome custard. So many different options and "flavors"....
So cool to see a business up and going strong after 90 years.
Kudos to Ted Drew's Frozen Custard!!!!!
P.S. the staff is also awesome 🥰
Denise Thompson
Don't let the crowd intimidate you. The line was wrapped around the building but it moved fast (4-6 mins wait) surprisingly. Always worth the wait! As usual consistency, the quality of the custard is superb! The pricing is a good value, none of the items seem over priced, the parking was slightly congested but easy to find a spot. Clean, well lit at night and secure. A Forever favorite treat!
Mildred Perez
I went to Ted Drewes back in 2018 when I was on a mission trip to St.Louis. Enjoyed every bit of the custard I ordered (I got Mildred, get it?). I wish I had time during my trip to go back to try more.
Habiba
A taste of St Louis like no other. One of my first stops when I visit. Try their Crater Copernicus if you love everything chocolate. This place is open till late which is a plus.
Jose Alexandro Orozco
Prices are great. Custard is great. lines could use some help as it is a bit more like a carnival line chaos. I get the place and the history, but some of the patrons were looking like lobsters by the time they got to their turn.
Marcus K
Rich, creamy, delicious custard. Definitely the best I have ever tasted. Very glad someone suggested it when I visited the Lou.
Evan Kelly
Ted Drew's is an iconic St. Louis location. We come here several times a month, and even when the lines look long, you're waiting 10 minutes at most, and it's worth it. They have hundreds, of not thousands of ice cream combinations that you can make and choose from
Bryce Abel
Frozen custard, flavored with honey with a variety of nourishing fresh fruit choices, like blueberry, peach or strawberry, and more... get a Concrete. It's a salvation sensation.
Ash GR
Very creamy and delicious tasting frozen yogurt. I had the strawberry custard and I thoroughly enjoyed it. A must try thing when anyone visit St.Louis!!
Casey Peetz
Famous local custard shop, open year round and tends to have lines year round. It's a tasty place to visit.
Travis Hinkle
Quick stop before leaving town—great custard, and didn’t take very long even though they were busy!
Rebekah De Lange
After a busy afternoon, there’s nothing better than ending the day at Ted Drewes. As someone who didn’t grow up in St. Louis, I can’t get enough of this place! I definitely have to make up for lost time. Ted Drewes combines EXCELLENT and FAST customer service, with premium custard. It doesn’t get better than that.
M King (M1k3u5)
Have been stopping here since I was a kid with my family every time we are in St. Louis. Never disappointed!
dawn wood
Always delicious and even when it looks like a huge long line, they get you in and out very quickly. If you haven’t tried them, you should!
Sara Stadler
It's such an attraction! Great selection and endless possibilities if you want to make your own concrete. The staff is friendly and helpful. I've never had a treat here that I didn't love! They have water which is nice. I'm lactose intolerant so I take a medicine in order to enjoy my treat without getting sick. Water ensures I have a way to swallow the pills. This is the Frozen Custard place of St. Louis!
Brian Adamski
Very friendly quick service. The custard was excellent. Whenever your in st Louis highly recommend stopping in.
Javier Lopez
So my wife is from KC and her uncle/aunt live in St Louis. We have been married for 13 years, together for 14. For all of those 14 years I've heard about Ted Drewes and how amazing it is. Unfortunately we never had the time bc we were always at KC. But, this last week we came to St. Louis to visit her uncle/aunt and FINALLY got to try it. When I say the wait was worth it I mean it. It is Delicious, Decadent, Creamy.
Duane Mabry
I wouldn't say it was exceptional frozen custard but it is a cultural culinary experience. The Ooey Gooey or plain are the two I'd recommend.
Emily Hughes
Stopped by on New Year's Eve. Fantastic custard as always and no wait.
Graham S.
Ted Drewes is amazing. Great for all ages and worth going out of your way for it. I used to come here as a kid and now I bring my own kids. Don’t miss this place while in St. Louis!
Shanan Z
We were visiting St. Louis and passed by this place. We decided we needed to try it after seeing the huge crowd and the website online. It didn't disappoint! The prices for one flavor small concrete mixers, sundaes, and cones are reasonable. I got a caramel concrete mixer and it was very tasty; super smooth custard, just as smooth as Culver's! The amount of people in the parking lot and in line during weather in the 30s was a testament to the quality.
Jeffrey A Crane
Every one knows how great tasting Ted Drewes custard really is. What they may not know is to go for one of the specials more flavor for your buck. My favorite is the McGraw . Oreo and Heath! Yum Yum!! The big Apple is good. They blend a hole slice of apple pie in their already good custard. WOW!!! I’m tempting my own self to make an out of the way unplanned diet breaking stop. Who’s with me????🤤😋😆
Matt Purcell
What can say about Ted Drewes? Still amazing after all these years. Btw, the Blue Note is now my go-to when I stop by. Excellent!
Abdullah Hakoun
Has a very good collection! The add ons are really good. Would definitely recommend getting a bananasplit for those with a big appetite!
Promise Word
As always Ted Drew's is amazing!! A St. Louis staple that I definitely recommend. Strawberry Shortcake is comfort in a medium size sundae dish.
Alex Minson
Fun excursion. Great custard. Will definitely go again before we leave St Louis.
I have to amend my original review. "Phenomenal custard" is more fitting. I've tried five flavors in five weeks. Great pumpkin is probably my favorite. But every choice has exceeded my ever growing expectations.
Michael Pry
Amazing ice cream. Lots of options and mix ins. They are busy for a reason, totally worth it. Turtle Carmel hot fudge concrete. So good.
Mark Derr
Found it was pretty runny already when i got it. More like a shake than frozen custard. Dont try flipping it. Favor was very good though.
Susi P
It’s not a trip to St Louis without a stop here. My fav is the Cardinal Sin sundae style with cherries and hot fudge.
I love coming here at Christmas when there are trees for sale in the side parking lot. They smell amazing.
Cyndi Steward
My friend and I went and I got the turtle concrete and for my husband brought him the Christy. Very good. They pack items with dry ice if taking it to go. Ingenious and Delicious! Perfect treat.
Trisha Driskell
Awesome place, but it needs an area to enjoy the ice cream. Either a little playground for kids, or at least like some picnic tables. It also should have designated lines to order and wait for your order. The ice cream is great, but it's complete chaos.
Jennifer Murphy
Don't judge me. But it was my first time here and I've lived in the St. Louis area my whole life. We went on St. Patrick's day and it was a beautiful day and packed. But they are super fast. It was good. But to be honest, I grew up going to Silky's and I think they are both equally great. But I live "over the bridge." So Ted Drewes was not close to us. Glad I finally went though!
Jacob Rages
Absolutely fantastic. Had a hot fudge sundae. Goodness gracious what a treat. Can't recommend enough. Wow.
barbara vanausdall
Ted Drewes is a must whenever possible! We drive 30 miles from home in Illinois for this delicious treat - lots if great flavors - concretes, sundaes, cups or cones in sizes from mini to mighty!!!! Yummmmmm
Christine Celis
OMG...this is the best custard I’ve ever had. The rave reviews did not disappoint. In fact, we went back again today so we could try another flavor before we left town. It’s SOOOO creamy and delicious!!! Ted Drewes is a highlight to St. Louis!!!!
Cindy Mahaney
Great treats! Always a tasty visit. Hot fudge and Cardinal Sin sundaes were wonderful.
Mary Longo
Very cold but our Favorite!
Thank U 😊
Merry Christmas Cheer's to all
🎄🍨🍦🎄 …
gary deutsch
Great custard with more flavors to choose from than a person can imagine. Friendly employees and an amazingly seemless process. If you are in town its a must .
Matt Weaver
It's Ted Drewes. Everyone should visit. They have great sundaes and concrete's. They always have the regular flavors and will have seasonal ones as well in the fall. They do get busy during weekend nights so expect to have a wait and parking can be hard to find. It is worth the wait though.
Makaela Johnson
I love the food and suggest the muddy Mississippi and I would of gave it five stars but that line to order is very busy and hard to get through
Ro Ro
Very good but prices are very high now, I cannot go like I use too, my fav is strawberry shortcake
Ben G
I've never been disappointed with anything here. Service is quick and even quicker if you tip the people at the window. A must during baseball days.
Edward Kovalcik
Great ice cream a route 66 historic stop and after all its ice cream.Apple pie sundae was really really good.
Kris Cardwell
My son's therapist said if you're going 3 hrs away for surgery, get Ted Drewes while you're there. She want lying. It was great.
Rodney Yoswig
This was worth the drive to stop and get a fresh custard from this location. Even though the place was absolutely packed out front it's worth the 10 to 15 minute wait just to enjoy the soft serve custard as it is it's absolutely delicious.
Jess Lynn
Took my family to Ted Drewes before leaving STL and so happy we didn't miss this place. My kids LOVED the custard they chose and hope they get to go back someday. Delicious Treat!
D.M Ward
Traveling from Illinois to visit this st. Louis staple, the experience wasn't bad at all. Long lines but they moved quickly, seeing kids and adults hanging in the parking lot on tailgates and open rear van areas was awesome. Plenty of trash cans that never seemed to overflow!
Bad side. The menu items were taped to the window and most of the menu is very small font so you really can't decide on what you want until you get right up to the window.
Overall great experience
Jana LaRue
The best - life changing my creamy custard, so many flavors, huge portions (!!!) and a sweet little slice of history.
Craig R
What a great stop as always! I enjoyed my mint concrete. I also wanted to bring one home. The girl behind the window was super! I told her I was headed to Atlanta over 8hrs away. She packed my togo with some dry ice. I put it in my cooler and headed on. Success!
Nathan Traxler
This place is hopping on a Sunday night! Definitely a great place for good custard. It is set up to accommodate large crowds and get you through line quickly. Service is excellent.
Dave Mariani
Better than any custard we have had ever..go here.
Hunter Shoptaw
A quality place will worth your time.
This place was busy but the staff was very accommodating and quick. My entire family enjoyed this treat and will make this a stop anytime we are in St. Louis.
Randall Burch
The name is legendary, the custard is delicious and the concrete are creative. No other place like it.
Freddie Peng
uhm... To be honest, it is overrated I would say. Concretes were more like sundaes for me.
Nina Duong
Custard was good, with many flavor options. Definitely a good spot to be for a summer craving.
Suzanne Chisum
Excellent custard selection. Although there were many people there the lines went fast and there was plenty of parking.
South Saint Louis on Watson near The Hill.
Alexa Earlywine
I ordered a Blue note! So amazing! Size down as portions are huge! Their custard is delicious!
Kenneth Schumm
Great frozen custard, but prices were 20% higher than the menu prices posted!!😑 …
Peg Clark
Not busy mid week late afternoon, but efficiency is not a priority. Same ordering window as pick up. Still doesn't damper the yummy-ness!
Andrew Dahle
Got an All Shook Up concrete. Staff was friendly and custard was super fast.
S J
A Saint Louis classic. High quality frozen custard, perfectly smooth texture. My favorite is the pistachio concrete.
Gretchen Dust
I don't know about you but when you are in Saint Louis going to Ted drewes is a must!
Everyone is so fast and thorough with orders. Everyone is so friendly and provides you with many explanations about what you are looking for. The ingredients are extremely fresh and taste fantastic!
If you have never gone to Ted drewes please put on your list of things to do!
Peggy Pruett
Why would anyone stand outside in the cold in February to get Frozen Custard? Because it's literally that good. It is a St. Louis favorite and they've been in business 90 years! They've received National attention and if you're visiting St. Louis, it's a must do experience!
Alexia Reyes
Love how much toppings they put. But cups should be more full of ice cream, DELICIOUS!!! I'm not ice cream fan but highly recommend. And good shakes too.
Jennifer Conrad
As a St. Louisan, I'm somewhat obligated to love Ted Drewes. It's pretty great though, so it's not hard. They have tons of flavors to satisfy pretty much any sweet tooth, and you really can't go wrong. My current personal fave is chocolate heath bar or chocolate banana, but honestly, I've tried nearly all of them. The dog is a fan of the doggie dish too. Lines move faster than you think, so be ready to order!
Chelsea Murphy
Fun experience, great product. Make sure to visit the cute little museum/gift shop.
Randi Carter
First Ted Drewes of the season. Definite guilty pleasure. Diet what? Only Debbie Downer was that the South Grand location did not open this year. Ted Drewes is a go to must when you are in the STL or on a very hot day.
Jessica Trevisan
Ted Drewes is an STL staple that you must try whether you are just passing through or here to stay. Whether you want plain frozen custard, a concrete, or a sundae your craving will be fulfilled. They have a large variety of flavors and combinations that will satisfy any palate. They also have a good organization system involving parking assistants and line managers which make the experience efficient and relatively stress free. I was also happy to see that they had adjusted to COVID-19 by hiring additional line managers to maintain control and social distancing in lines, installed plastic dividers between order windows, and spray painted markers on the ground at 6ft intervals so there is no confusion on where to stand. Great job Ted Drewes!
Cristian Bodnari
Awesome ice cream. Very busy but the line moves fast.
I had a sundae that was so good that I couldn’t leave without also getting a milkshake
Matt Clarke
Awesome historic custard shop! The service was fast and the custard was delicious.
Carrie Beach
A stop for a small concrete before dinner with my friend. Top secret. Fun to sit around the dinner table whilst everyone eats and they don't know, we are not hungry because of TED DREWS!!!!! Ha!!
Andy Shoup
Always a cool treat. Don't let the long lines scare you- they move quickly. Most people are just standing there not ready to order until they decide what they want.
Eric E
Just make the time to visit this spot!! Always a nice place for dessert and to run into friends.
Catherine Courtney
Good Ol' Ted Drews! Perfect! Just like it has always been for me since the 1980's!
Lee Darby
They live up to their reputation. Don't let lines discourage you - they're efficient.
Irene Keele
Visiting St Louis from Texas and had to visit Ted Drewes. Did not disappoint. "Concrete" did not disappoint. Super creamy and delicious.
Mom Moes
The frozen custard cant be beat. The variety of sundaes and concretes is substantial. The service we received was mediocre. The cashier was bothered by our large 28 dollar order. It made me wonder how other large families place their order.
Kawthar Albasha
It was my first time trying frozen custard and I love it, I will be back to try other flavors.
poojitha bhavineni
Very fast service and serves delicious frozen custards.
Mikey Sakurada
This was hands down the best custard I've ever had
Sarah Chandler
Although it was good ice cream, and very creamy- Im not sure why there were lines down the block. The lines do move much faster than I was expecting, but there arent very many places to sit outside to eat. The prices were good for the serving sizes! Lots of different flavor options and combos!
Christina Martin
Ted Drew's never fails. I'm always impressed with the memory skills of these young adults
Jocelyn Baca
The custard is delicious here - a St. Louis unique shop. P.S. the difference between custard and concrete is that concrete is vanilla custard with toppings and flavors in it. Lots of variety, at a cheap price.
Minkee Kim
Tried the butterscotch and it was phenomenal! St. Louis local friends took us and we are glad they did. It is a must if trying the best places on historic route 66!
Richard Kalb
Good place to get frozen custard. Would highly recommend stopping by and trying it if you are In the St. Louis area. I had the banana split and loved every bite.
Jeff Phillips
Went at 5:30 pm on a Sunday during the summer and they had a small army of employees at the store and very quickly were fulfilling orders. The frozen custard is a St Louis institution.
Debbie Thomas
Best frozen custard ever!!! This was our lunch today and we weren't disappointed.
Barry Parsons
This is the most awesome frozen custard in the city. They have a lot of flavor combinations and they're all good. Be prepared to wait in line, there's almost always a line because it's so good.
Levi Stires
Always a great time and the pup loved her very first pup cup. Don't be discouraged by the long lines that are always there. These guys know how to fly and get you some custard
Rob Rogholt
Friendly staff helped us first timers. Custard was amazing, its texture was unique, almost whip cream-esque. Fun unique venue that had quite the line, but was well staffed and line moved quickly even with a many prople were there. Highly recommend!
Phoebe Phan
Very good ice cream and concretes however it melts way too fast. Not sure if that’s how their ice cream is supposed to be or it’s the weather but we ordered some sundae and concretes and they all melted within 5 minutes so it ended up being like a milkshake.
Elizabeth Clements
Ted Drewes is a local favorite for good reason! The service is quick and friendly, the flavors are interesting and consistently good, and the area outside is clean and attended to.
Laura Taylor
Historic landmark. The parking lot is kinda crazy - not much room. The service was impersonal, bordering on rude. The frozen custard was already melted quite a bit when the handed it to me. The flavor was okay, not the best. A few places to sit would be nice.
R G
Ted Drewes has been serving frozen cups of happiness for 90 years now. The kicker is that they do it very quickly which helps the hundreds of people move through the line just as quickly. Also, I’d like to add that the service is always friendly.
Today I went with the regular sized turtle concrete.
Bonus: the regular size is a plastic anniversary cup celebrating their 90 years.
Jarrod Sharp
Service was fast considering the lines were long. But the ice cream was just OK. Mine was slightly melted when they gave it to me, ingredients tasted fresh though.
Justin Hoppe
Long lines but always worth the wait!
Leigh Sweet
There was an enourmous line but it moved quickly and the frozen custard was more than worth the wait!
Jaimie Street
I absolutely love Ted Drewes. There hasn't been a time that I've had nothing but a great experience here. My husband and I always come in for a hot fudge sundae with extra got fudge of course. 😀 …
Dave Tash
Outstanding hawian concrete I wish they did a large though I have to buy two mediums to get my fill. Love the place and will say it's a place you don't want to miss
Ali W
Soo good! I tell my visiting friends it's a must stop while in St Louis.
Wanyu Jhuang
It’s amazing! The vanilla custard with strawberry and chocolate is the best!
EZ Reviews (Mr. Review STL)
Need my 5 stars say more. When you visit Saint Louis and think of Ice Cream (frozen custard). Only one name comes to mind. Its Ted Drewes. They’re a staple of the STL community. Their staff are primarily kids that live in the area trying to make some extra cash. It’s overall one of the best experiences you can have coming to STL. Watch a cardinals or Blues game and then going out for Ted Drewes is a classic date night in Saint Louie.
Vinh Thủ Thiêm
Delicious and Yummy Ice Cream in St.Louis .Especially Banaras Split and Hawaiian Delight favors
Pat Dyer
This place needs no reviews for local St Louisians. Concretes here are always fantastic. I was surprised by the Ted Drewes store nextdoor. I didn't see anything worth buying to me, but enjoyed the history (and learned quite a lot) in the second room.
Vanessa N
Easy and fast process to get the best custard I've ever had!! Lemon crumb is so refreshing!!
Anne Clark
I stood outside in freezing cold thinking we were all crazy, but soooo great 👍 …
Kathy Nguyen
The line circled around both sides of the building but it moved pretty fast. We were there on a Sunday evening and got our order taken about 30-35 minutes later and it was worth it! Our favorites are the Turtle and the Dutchmen (tastes similar to Butter Pecan). We highly recommend and if we’re ever back in the area, this will be one of our stops.
Phil Dunaway
Great custard and selection of flavors. There's a reason they've been in business for 90 years. Had the Southern Delight Concrete and it was outstanding.
Prisha Choudhary
Best ice cream in STL for sure! I know people who drive hours from other states just to come here. Nothing can compare to the quality of their ice cream.
Max Bemberg
Always good. Whether it's baseball hats full of custard or a standard concrete, you can't go wrong! We went with Cardinal Sin. So goooooooooood.
Shelly I
Service is pretty quick and the concretes are delicious. Made my own, added brownie pieces, caramel sauce, and macadamia nuts. Perfection on a hot day! Also passed the upside down test!
Carol Esser
It's a busy place, but worth the wait! Great options! Our order taker was great - he didn't take notes during our order, but got it right!!
Mark
Very good ice cream at an iconic walk-up location. Excellent service and a lot of fun. Thank you.
Andy Craig
A St Louis landmark. You can't go wrong with any options as concrete or sundaes.
Kumquat
This place is iconic. Many places have made it a tradition of sorts to visit here after large gatherings. The custard is pretty good, though honestly you can probably find better at some other places. What really is astonishing is the service time. Every single time I have ever gone, the place is absolutely swamped with people. However, you almost always seem to get your custard within a half an hour of arriving, if it takes anywhere near that long. Time from order to receiving an order is typically about five minutes, at the most around fifteen. Prices are also pretty reasonable, with you spending $6 a person on average if you go for the more expensive stuff, typically around $4. Even if you only ever go once, I would highly recommend visiting at least once.
Kelsey Flint
I always love coming here. Sure they are usually busy and the lines are long but the custard is so good and creamy and prices are good as well! The strawberry shortcake is my favorite. Making me want to go and get some more!
Larry Yochum
Iconic custard shop in St. Louis on old Route 66. Great custard and customer service. Always busy.
Carrie Mosley
Finally experienced Ted Drew's! Yummy! We'll make it a regular stop when we're in St Louis from now on!
Olivia Sampson
best. ice cream. ever! I don't know what they do but it is awesome!
Mary Ann Young Schulte
This place is the best in town. Vanilla frozen concrete is wonderful. All their flavors are good. You can also buy Xmas trees from their lot this time of year, between Thanksgiving and Xmas.
Reuben De Almeida
Had the Tiramissou and Cardinal Sin concrete, excellent. The tirsmissou was loaded with pistachios.
Ember Urbach
Amazing custard. Affordable, fast, and a variety of flavors. I had the turtle concrete and it was amazing. Caramel and pecan flavor throughout and of course, fudge.
Kara Presson
A true legend on a hot day! The service was both friendly and fast. You need to travel to this mecca in the summer to complete your pilgrimage!
Rizzy DX
Had the muddy Mississippi and my wife had the Dutchman. Both were delicious.
Hasnat Tahir
I tried the concrete one and I didn't find anything special about it. For me it wasn't worth the hype.
Leilani C.
Tried the lemon 🍋 crumb with strawberries 🍓. It was yummy! I gave 3 stars for the portion. I paid $4.70 for a sample size. …
Harsha R
The Christy sundae was awesome. Would have been better if the brownie was not iced but still it was yummy! The pineapple concrete was delicious.
Michael Donahue
This is a must!!! A St. Louis classic!!! Everything is delicious!!! Thank you for always being here!
Jeetesh Bahuguna
This is a great place for family and friends. Awesome taste and plenty of frozen yogurt verity. Great service and even prices are very low as compared to service and taste. Must go place.
Lance Hardin
We have to stop every time we're in St. Louis!
Candice Stroman
Visited St. Louis, heard we had to go here. I had an apple pie concrete and loved it. It was a little soft tho, don't think I could turn the cup upside down without it starting to drip immediately. But, it was worth the visit for me.
Robby Colten
It was amazing. The only place I've been that has pistachio concrete yum yum
Cassie Hopkins
Good custard. Went on a cold night and the custard was melted. It’s weird.
Major G
The Strawberry shortcake is amazing. I wasn't a big fan at first, found the strawberry shortcake and I'm hooked.
Miles Lawson
Great custard. A St Louis staple.
Alana M
I'm not from STL, so maybe I just don't get the hype. I think Ted Drewes is more of a iconic landmark type place. The custard is good, but I don't think it's anything special.
Roger Peter
This legendary frozen custard place on route 66 is a must visit if you're in town or passing by. The service is really quick in spite of serpentine queues of anxiously waiting clientele.
Linda Finigian
Ted Drewes has the best Frozen Custard I've ever been blessed to find!! I would come back anytime I have an opportunity to get our beloved Ted Drewes! Thanks y'all!!
Shannon warstler
Best custard in St Louis ! Stop here even if it's busy ! Quick service too 😋 …
Jeff Highfill
The best custard in the world. A must visit in St. Louis!
Kevin Below
Still dreaming of the Mississippi Mud Concrete I just finished!! Amazed at how consistent their quality is along with keeping up with so many customers.
Chad Petrey
Custard is amazing. Really wish we had a place like this in SC
Kai Hudek
Just ok. Lots of flavor choices but all of them crazy sweet. Good texture but melts really fast. Don't see why people are losing their frickin minds over here.
Benton Boice
Wow! I visited Ted Drewes under the guidance of quite a few people that all gave stellar reviews. I was apprehensive to think it could live up to the hype, but it was absolutely delightful.
Deidrè C.
A STL staple treat. The line wasn't bad. It was a great opportunity to spend quality time with friends. Consistent product, not an overwhelming menu. Love it!
William White
So delicious on a hot day after walking the St Louis Zoo
Chris Gaignat
Good brownie frozen Custard. The banana split looks good too. Neat place and good ice cream
L S
Soooo good!! Excellent service. Moves through a really long line quickly. So many great flavors. I tried the Twisted which was pretzel and salted caramel.
Penny Mesch
Was in st louis from Machesney Park Illinois to visit my sister and we stopped in for mixers, was delicious!
Max Drown
My wife and her family will drive from an hour a way to get custard from here. Must be a native STL thing. :)
Matthew McMillian
Busy when we went, but the desserts are top notch! Plus it's a route 66 roadside attraction. Definitely worth a stop on the road trip!
Michael Taube
Excellent custard, worth the wait!
I wish they were more flexible though.. 1. cones are only available for vanilla. 2. You can't mix multiple flavors. But definitely a winner, regardless
Kyeona Mitchell
Haven't been here in years, but it was awesome coming back to fast service ice cold water and delicious custurd!! Of course you can never go wrong with a banana split, and Ted Drewes wil never fail!!😊 …
VAMSI BOLLA
Tastes good…not as thick as expected
Brian Robinson
I have been so so SO lucky to have grown up just blocks from this place, as it is not only a St. Louis staple, but a national treasure as well. The only thing you really need to know is this is the best place in town for frozen custard and other delicious treats. But also know that there will probably be some kind of line most hours of most days (especially on weekends and DEFINITELY on nice weather days) and that I promise you it is well worth it.
Another thing to note is that there is little if any place to comfortably sit with your dessert, and your options only become worse from there if you're looking for some kind of respite like shade. This doesn't do a damn thing though to affect my five star review because that's part of the magic and tradition rooted in the experience of this place; it's a special kind of awkward that almost forces you to converse with your neighbors, fellow travelers, friends, etc, and is that really such a bad thing these days? Well, pay old Ted a visit and I think you'll find it very much is not :)
A Bc
A true St Louis tradition. Excellent custard and great selection of Christmas trees!
Marlin Callender
Simply the best Frozen Custard! Grew up in St.Louis and I miss this place. Got the chance last year to visit in late November so we had to get in line for the best.
Zeynep Bayar
Ted Drewes is amazing! Their custard, of course, is really fresh because they make most of them right there when you order it! For kids, Micro size, Oreo or M&M's + Caramel mixed in would be good; they usually can't finish even Micro. Sometimes they mess uo the sizes, but you always pay only for what you ordered.
D M
My daughter and I were stopping through St Louis on a roadtrip and one of the ladies at a thrift store told us we had to come here. The frozen yogurt was sooooo smooth and well flavored. Definitely worth the stop.
Roobah Fox
Been here a few times before, so I know this time was just a bad anomaly, poor product. This time, just disappointing. We were served quickly while typically crowded (a plus). But tonight, everything was melted and runny and all whipped together, nothing at all "concrete" about our order or "topped with". (Ordered Fox Treat Concrete regular & Crater Copernicus.) More like a nicely flavored McDonald's shake and dish of whipped up soft serve. Given how much we paid for these treats, it just wasn't worth what we got. Friendly and fast service, though. Maybe better luck next time.
Tom Belanger
Go on a Saturday night after a Cards game or show at the Muny. You haven't been to STL until you do this.
Madeleine Bodily
Really great frozen custard. They have a lot of fun combinations to try! It was pretty busy when we went, but the service was really fast. Parking can be tricky, so keep that in mind and you may need to walk a little bit.
Syed Sarim
Great ice cream 🍦 😋 place in Saint Louis 😋 …
V Samuels
OMG!! I ordered a lemon crumb and added cherries and fell in love. I wished that I could pack up Ted Drewes and take it back home to Las Vegas. I love this place!
Daniel Barnes
Like everything else kinda pricey. Staff was really nice. Wait wasn't terrible either. For an occasional treat it's a great place to go.
Jerry Cisar
Still the best! Can't get enough. So many good flavors too.
Jason Panhorst
It really is good guys! The Ted Drewes slogan is a heartfelt sincere down-to-earth description of the delightful experience St Louis natives and visitors will long enjoy God willing.
Annie Curtis
Spring, Summer, Winter and Fall, Ted Drews is always the best!
Peter Martin
A must have for the true St. Louis experience! They have unparalleled frozen custard with a myriad of toppings to add in. During the summer, there can be a bit of a line, but it's well worth the wait. Anytime I want ice cream, I head here.
Rob McClure
Historic part of route 66. My last trip was 10 years ago and this place doesn't disappoint! If passing through St. Louis you have to stop by for a bite of Americana
Stephanie Wolf
Always love love love Ted Drewes
It’s been a family tradition since we were children and we are still enjoying the concrete and other yummy desserts and am always looking for an excuse to go.
Always worth the wait!
Sean Fogarty
Drewes Drewes Drewes!!.
A St.Louis staple!. Anyone who's anyone has been here, the frozen custard is simply the best!. The Dutchman, Hawaiian delight, classic banana split, or the hot fudge sundae. All are are soo good. Perfect for a family night out after dinner, or just having dessert with your sweetheart. Drewes is sure to please!. Proud customer going on 32 years, and any more to come. Thanks Ted Drewes!
Shelby P
Simply one of the best places for dessert out there! Always stop here when I'm visiting St. Louis. The custard concretes are AMAZING. took my wife here the last time for her first time and she references it all the time now. It's the gold standard for ice cream/custard places.
James Jones
Great ice cream. Just a poor choice on my part. Ordered Apple pie concrete and not that good. Like I said, just not going to order that one again. Been many time and they have a large menu of flavors. Got to try em!
Brandon Radford
Best frozen custards in the world. Ted Drewes is a Saint Louis landmark that provides a wonderful combination of quality and top notch service. Two large concretes with several flavors cost $16. This is a must stop while in Saint Louis and worth a long drive to the city all by itself.
Jocelyn
Loved the frozen custard.
Very delicious
Anthony Boone
Friendly and efficient workers provide tasty frozen custard.
Mark Behrens
Best custard I have ever tasted.
Michael Williams
As an out of towner I heard a ton of hype about this sweet treats establishment and I have to admit....this place is amazing! Variety off ways you can get your custard, variety of flavors, add-ons, toppings etc..It's a little overwhelming looking at all the different options but when you set your mind on what you have a taste for I can promise you they've got it! It was so delicious, I wish they had it in more cities. So on that note, if your visiting St. Louis grab a spoon full for me, you wont regret it!
Bernice Sanders
The best ice cream custard in town#!!
Boen Quinlan
We love to come here and get frozen custard as a family. A st louis staple worth visiting.
Michele Melichar
Always a stop when I get back to St. Louis! Quick service, friendly staff, yummy flavors, and even dry ice to keep your treat from melting!
Samantha Meyer
Great frozen custard! I've never had frozen custard before so I didn't know what to expect. I shared the Reese's concrete with my 4 yr old. It was SO creamy and not runny or too hard. Will def go again the next time we're in St Louis.
Amit Athani
The best frozen custard in STL with a historic touch, quick service and does not break your bank. Updating the review 2 years later and still one of the best places to go in STL
Tamer Milad
The lines are long but they go pretty fast. Great ice cream. Their portions are huge so order smaller than you usually do.
Joyce Workman
1st visit. Lots to choose from. I had a Terramizzou concrete. Chocolate frozen custard with pistachios. YUM! I would have posted a photo but once I tasted it I couldn't put down the spoon. The only problem was that is was very soft/melts which may be normal but I would have preferred it more frozen.
Jonathan Ventimiglia
Always love going to Ted Drew's. I roughly drive 35 to 40 miles to go there just to have it.. The people are always awesome and polite.
Sean CW Korsgaard
Consider me very underwhelmed. The custard doesn't have much of a flavor. Its always packed, based on what I had, I am not sure why.
Jerry Kokesh
Crowded as usual, but the line moves fast. Good, but a bit pricey for the size of the servings. Personally, better places for a frozen treat. Still always worth a stop as such a iconic place.
S. Matthews
It's the St Louis tradition! I don't know what I would do without Ted Drewes!
Alexandra Hategan
A must in St Louis. Delicious vanilla custards that can be served how it is or mixed with a lot of tasty toppings (the hardest part is to decide what to order) Very good prices, big parking lot, nice atmosphere. It's definitely a classic route 66 stop.
Mike X
Efficiently Covid friendly. The lines look long but they move fast!
Heather Durling
Their freezer needs to be colder! My concrete would not have passed the upside down test! It was yummy but not cold enough!
Herbert Lieberman
Best place to go for dessert. Wish they had more menu for people that have not been there so they can see before getting to the window.
Richard Babb
Well I can't think of enough superlatives to describe Ted Drews Frozen Custard! It is beyond a doubt the best custard in the world. If you haven't been you are missing out on something great! Warning: If you do go for the first time and see enormous lines DO NOT LEAVE! They keep the lines moving and you will not wait there long.
Angie JUDD GRECO
One of St. Louis' most loved custards.
The original and still always the best.
If you've never had Ted Drew's fresh directly from the store, it's like no other.
Pure Terror Scream Park
Best ice cream and frozen custard I've ever had. So so so good. While in St Louis you got to stop here
Lana Arbogast
Hadn't been there since pandimic started and was pleased to see they still had my favorite sundae. The raspberry, hot fudge & macadamian sundae is the best. It's tart, sweet & crunchy all in 1 bite. Highly recommend it. It is also very helpful to have the officer on the parking lot to help direct traffic.
Nalin Saigal
Good frozen custard and they had a simple ordering process that made me feel covid-comfortable.
Diane Frierdich
Always delicious. A great place to go. Very special to the St. Louis area and going there is a tradition we love. Nothing like it anywhere.
Gregory Forck
Just really the best Frozen custard around. The service is fast even with the biggest crowds. Such a St. Louis thing to do.
Rachel Addison
OMG! If I could give more then 5 stars I would!! I literally go to this place everyday! Definitely recommend!! They have a gift shop next door also! I've never been to that but a ton of ppl always check it out! If you're visiting St. Louis this is a MUST HAVE!
xochil c
Love it! Tasty flavors, quick service.
chris wolfe
An original Frozen Concrete classic! Great selection and their custard is fantastic!
Rebecca Reed
Such a classic St. Louis spot. Truly delicious frozen custard (richer than ice cream) that you can get mixed or topped with flavors or ingredients in probably thousands of combinations (although they suggest some popular combos on their menu). The formats are concretes (thick mixed custard), shakes (thin mixed custard), sundae (scoops topped with flavorings), and floats/cones (can only get vanilla custard or a chocolate dipped cone in these formats). Currently they wrap the line around the back of the building to keep people spaced out. On a weekend night it took me about 20 min to get through the line, but I’m sure that varies a lot.
Mariah Nelson
Got "The Christy" this time...iced brownie with custard, caramel and hot fudge ☺️😋 …
Aryeh Urist
Military discount. Little baseball hats for ice cream cups. Good selection. Enjoy.
Peggy Irving
Iconic St. Louis frozen custard restaurant is a must!
Amanda Morrison
Our family loves Ted Drew's. We try to get custard from here at least once a year. Haven't been since the pandemic. They have a new flavor called Lemon Crumb. If you love lemon, this was very good. Took the kids here for a last hurrah before school starts back up next week.
Koerrea Leonardo Rodriguez
I was really good. The flavor its self of the custard is great. The only complaints I would have is the portions. If I order a regular I expected it to be regular size. I feel like they short you. I ordered a regular size and it seemed like they took a mini and dumped it in that container defo wasn't worth what I paid. I also didn't like the fact that when they where making the orders it takes so long for them to present your purchase. It wasn't even that hot today and standing around waiting or multiple items that we ordered product started to melt severely. My other complaint would be the line...this was my first time and probably will be my last because of that reason.
Moksh Singh
It's amazing. Had tried a couple options both great. There was a big crowd but service was fast.
Dustin M
Great flavors for the concretes. Fast service. A must have when in St. Louis. Just sent again today 12-16-2022. Still great.
Gerard
Best frozen custard I've ever had.
Kim Granger
Yes, the line is long....but it goes SO fast! I'm very impressed with the service here.
Eric Henson
Best frozen Custard in STL. Would recommend the fox trot!
Danny Weishaar
Ted Drewe's had exceptional ice cream. I had the best banana split I've ever had on my trip here. My only issue with this location was that it was very busy and the lines were long, however that's likely because I went at 9 pm which is peak time.
Holly Crumrine
This is a wonderful place to get some local custard! there's a line on a beautiful day, but they're good at what they do, and it goes quick. The employees were all very nice, and the prices for the ice cream are so reasonable! Highly recommend, our family went back twice.
Badri Adhikari
When we are out of St. Louis for more than a few weeks, this is the food/place that makes us want to return. Winter or summer, we go once in two weeks. My favorite is pineapple peach pistachio concrete. Please do not try new flavor if you are going first time; try a flavor that your tongue already likes.
Claudia Taylor
On a previous visit about a month ago, I was excited to see a change made to how you wait in line. Everyone stood in one organized line with an employee directing guests to cashiers as they became available.
It seems it's back to absolute chaos now lol. Perhaps that's part of the experience, it does add to the people watching.
Go and try the custard even if the lines are confusing. Summer in St. Louis wouldn't be the same without it.
William Allen
Ted Dress Frozen Custard is the most delicious, delectable dessert on this planet. The pistachio is to die for. It's all good. I love it. Consistently excellent every time I got there.
Eathan Johnson
I would for sure return here. Custard was smooth and creamy and high quality. It wasnt necessarily better than a chain (so if you are from out of town like us, don't expect some transcendent tasting custard) but you come here because it is an experience and you get to support something local and I enjoyed doing that. It was really interesting to see all the people there and if you wanted, you really could have talked with all kinds of people and this was on a Monday night. Line moved quickly as you'd expect with all those serving windows. I had the cookie dough and my wife had the Tiramizzou.
A S
It’s frozen custard - what’s not to love? Lines can be long but they move quickly. Pretty sure TD has it down to a science.
The concretes are delicious - I got the caramel pretzel one and can’t wait to have it again!
Kevin Kao
Tasty frozen custard with lots of choice in flavors and it's a local tradition icon.
Dana Richardson
Took My Youngest Daughter visiting from out of town.We enjoyed selection and customer service
Chau Tran
Best ice cream/custard I’ve ever tried in St. Louis. I adore the classic vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry flavors here. The custard is so thick and creamy, there’s nothing else like it. I will wait in a long line if I have to.
K
I've heard great things about this place so I thought I'd try it out, but the custard was rather plain. I've gotten better food at Dairy Queen, to be honest. The guy handing out masks also pushed me into a slow line despite me being in one that was moving somewhat quickly. Overall, I wasn't impressed with this place.
Carlos Byrd
An StL classic, Ted Drewes has an ice cream for almost any palette, but I always go back to the hot fudge. It's an awesome place to drop by with friends after a night out.
Steph White
I got a chocolate cookie dough blizzard and omg was it amazing!!! Best part is the cookie dough was real and tasted real. A real dessert if you love ice cream. My very first time going and I'm sure there will be more times to come. I totally recommend you check it out😍😍😍😍 …
Deborah Halter
I love this place. Best frozen custard on earth. All I thought about during Desert Storm was getting home to a jumbo hot fudge with pecans. It is wonderful! If you can not do dairy, they have a really good frozen fruit drink you can enjoy as well. People come from all over to get a Ted Drews, you should too! I love this place!!! The lines which occur occationally are worth the wait.
nithin george
It was so tasty that I couldn’t even got time to click a picture. The staff was very considering, and have packed the cream well . Nevertheless they didn’t put any warning about dry ice being packed among the to go packets . Those who are new to shop might not be expecting it . So look out for dry ice if you are getting to-go , do not eat or touch with bare hands .
Victoria Sterling
The place to go on route 66. Absolutely famous and deservedly so. Best frozen custard in the country. Not from around here myself but every time I'm in St Louis gotta get a concrete at Ted Drewes.
Kenny Nguyen
Hands-down the best custard around. I'd go back to St. Louis just to eat here again!
Carl Kleinsorge
Always a GREAT route 66 experience!!! I don't remember ever having a bad experience there!👍 …
The Black Sheep
Best frozen custard in St Louis or anywhere else for that matter. Located in far SW City, easy to get to from almost anywhere in metro. Sometimes the lines will seem daunting but they move faster than it appears. Esp nice to go there late on a hot summer night. Nothing hits the spot better than Ted Drewes.
Dino Ramic
Went down to TD for my building and they made it quick and easy for me to pick up our order and return the cooler that was provided by TD as well
Catherine Crowell
There is a reason why this place has been around for a long time. The custard is excellent and the service is super fast. This is definitely my favorite place to get custard in St. Louis. I have been here when it was super busy and when it was slow and the service is fast every time. The employees are hard workers and they do a great job making sure everyone has great service and delicious custard. If you haven't tried it, you need to. Don't wait any longer. It is also fun for the family as well as a nice date night. Most people sit in their cars or hangout by their cars when it's busy so drive carefully! : )
Tyler Young
Great custard. Great selection. Something for everyone. And they sell Christmas trees during season.
Jim Chase
As always the custard is delicious and the service is top notch! Gift shop I think was a new addition since we were here last. Had some neat things in it, prices pretty reasonable too.
Ben Allyn
Amazing ice cream and awesome people. Very helpful when it comes to long haul transportation of their products. I was only heading to Kansas City, but that can be a ways for some good custard. They had a good idea of how much dry ice to use and it worked perfectly. I had my first scoop when I got home. Perfectly frozen and delicious. They are a regular stop for me on my way through.
Ric Comana
Best frozen custard. St Louis tradition. Must visit and experience, even on a cold winter night but especially on a hot summer day.
Marcia Conner
While I loved Ted Drews when I was younger, these days I much prefer Mr. Wizard on Big Bend.
Dean Buttry
Great ice cream along Route 66!!
trinkets of war
The line may be long but it goes by and in a flash and guess what they don't right down your orders they just say it out then they make it and it's done in a flash definite 5/5 also all the flavors you can think of and of of course the classics vanilla and chocolate
Kristin Schmitz
Felt a bit rushed & wasn't asked if I wanted it to go or not. Just got shoved out one cup at a time. It was still delicious though.
Adam White
We ordered 2 shakes, and hit 50/50. Usually really good. Definitely a staple for the area and you should try them out
James Travis
Wonderful custard and they didn't skimp on topping/mix-ins. There was full taste and crunch in my every bite of concrete!
Logan Landolt
If you're reading this review, you are wasting your time! Ted Drewe's has an incredible reputation as being one of the world's best ice cream spots... Because it is! No need to worry about service, frills, or anything extravagant. You are getting good custard for a good price. Perfect in almost any weather. A MUST visit in Stl
Kurt Walker
So good! The line was SCARY long, but crazy efficient! Maybe waited around 10 minutes and the line was around the block. I couldn't believe how fast they were going! I had the s'mores concrete, delicious! Highly recommend!
Ross Just a guy
It's a st Louis tradition, very good. Don't let the lines deter you, they are very fast, it will be a short wait.
Jeanne Weber
Always love Ted Drew's! It is sooo yummy! It's one off the reasons I love St Louis.
Mystic Crit
Line was long but went very fast! They made me four medium cups of custard in 10-15 minutes. Tastes awesome was really fast service and was just an overall good experience!
