Reviews of Top Pot Doughnuts
David LazarAfter searching high and low for some good donuts in Seattle, we found the Top Pot location in SLU that was open on Labor Day. I know this is technically a coffee place but for us, their donuts were the main event.
The location we visited had great decor inside, much better than your typical coffee/donut spot. Both opposing side walls were covered in massive bookcases that stretched two stories to the ceiling. The lofted second floor had a sizable dining area where you can sit and eat, read or write (in typical Seattle fashion).
We got some (great!) coffee and a half dozen donuts that came in a box with wonderful branding. I love that this place has a wide variety of BOTH cake and Old Fashioned (sour cream) style donuts. We got an old fashioned lemon, old fashioned glazed, old fashioned chocolate glazed, blueberry fritter, cookies and cream, and a raspberry chocolate glazed.
They were all really good but the fritter was the tea link. I would stick with the old fashioned varieties. I think these may be some of the best donuts in Seattle, at least they certainly have the biggest variety!

My favorite was the lemon old fashioned doughnut, and the maple frosted chocolate cake was a close second.
The whole store is quite nice, with a very neat wall of books and a fun staircase to an upper level for more seating.
Downstairs they have a water fountain and some cups to get your own water, which I thought was quite a good idea.
Overall a very nice visit, we would recommend to all and would come back again.
Cirrus SanofiProbably good selection of donuts (not at my time of visit), tasty coffee, nice staff, magnificent interior and good location within the city. Unfortunately, I didn't like the strawberry sprinkles that much, otherwise I have nothing to complain about this place. The whole space is open and has a great atmosphere.
Wei-ju WuThis place is almost an institution in Seattle, I've brought my kids in since they were little for a hot chocolate, coffee and some donuts, my favorite are their old fashioned ones.
If you can have them in the store among shelves filled with old books. While watching the monorail pass by from time to time.

The maple old fashioned was a standout delight. Cookies and cream donut was excellent, too.
Earl gray tea and peppermint tea were nice, too.

Even though the coffee is fresh ground and brewed on site, there are better cups to be had elsewhere.
The staff is friendly though and the upstairs loft area is great for a few hours of remote work.
Austin EmberlinI was walking around Seattle and came across this wonderful coffee and donut shop. Fantastic donuts and some of the best coffee I have ever had! I highly recommend trying this place if you’re ever in the area. If I worked at Amazon HQ I would be here all the time for sure.
TBA great place to stop in and start your day. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I ordered an oatmilk chai tea & an apple fritter which was to die for. Will definitely be going back for another donut before I head home!
Matt G.Had donuts from here while visiting from out of town. Definitely get the raised donuts as they were very good. They were somehow both dense, but fluffy. Never had a donut like that before. The cake ones were pretty basic though.
Polyanna MarcosI lived these donuts! I’m not even a big fan of donuts but had to try while in the PNW. My favorite was the old fashioned one.
Went in at 8am on a Friday, not too busy and lots of fresh donuts.
Place is clean, plenty of space, restrooms, indoor and outdoor seating and coffee was ok (not great) but worth the visit.
