We were visiting from out of town and did a cookie tour of the Wasatch Front. This was our 7th cookie stop on the tour. I have to say that I was super impressed with what we experienced. The store was simple and sharp. Cookie displays were front and center. One of the first substantial differences between this and any other cookie place I have been is the ability to sample any of their cookies. Seriously, they offered us samples of anything we wanted to try. And the sample weren’t small, they were a decent chunk of the cookie to experience the flavor. The employees were awesome and took the time to explain what they viewed as the differences between them and the competition. The main difference being the quality ingredients. After sampling a few and ordering a half-dozen cookies I have to say that this place is now the top of my cookie list (and I’ve been to A LOT of cookie places). The quality is obvious from the first bite. The flavors are unique and you are actually able to taste them. At some of the competition you run into the phenomenon of lots of the cookies tasting the same. Like you could be blindfolded and eat several types of cookies and not be able to accuracy know what flavor you’re actually having. Not at RubySnap. The flavor listed is the flavor you taste! No doubt about it. I was deeply impressed with the richness of the chocolate flavor and the taste of fresh butter in the cookies. While a little pricey, it’s completely worth the investment in your cookie experience. I will certainly return next time I find myself in SLC.

I saw this bakery on a Destinations Explained YouTube video. The narrator called it “top of the food chain” cookies and he did not exaggerate! We stopped by on the way to the airport. Dilly gave us the warmest greeting. She took her time explaining all the cookies we asked about and even offered samples. I really wished we went there on our first day of vacation so we could try all of the cookies. Dilly told us we can have them shipped. I’m sure I’ll be getting some again soon. Thank you Venture Addicts for your YouTube video and highlighting Ruby Fresh as a locally woman owned business. That was one of the reasons we wanted to visit and support the business.

Stopped in today after being prompted by my daughter. Took home a half dozen cookies and they were all delicious. All the employees were helpful and happy and eager to give samples to customers. Just picked up cookies around 630 tonight. Still had a full (or so appeared) selection. Cookies: to die for. We picked up a variety and “taste tested” two in the car. Absolutely amazing. We tried to horchata (SO GOOD) and the apricot cherry oatmeal (chewy, full of fruit, AMAZING). There’s such a variety, anyone with any kind of cookie enjoyment can find something they like. Chocolate, peanut butter, fruity, classic chocolate chip, they have it all. There are some fun, distinct flavors like passion fruit hibiscus and some twists on classics, like lemon blueberry chia. Some are frosted (orange with cream cheese frosting for example), some have “dips” (peanut butter), others are just classic plain cookies. All are soft but cooked through with outer edges, just like cookies should be. Staff: here’s where this place really shines. The lady helping us was so friendly and patient as we bounced all over with flavors. When she found out we’d be flying with these, she offered to pack a few separately to preserve the frosting and more delicate nature of them. She also gave us tips on how to store them overnight and how to keep them safe This is worth the stop at any time of the day. Nice folks, killer cookies, and awesome variety. Price is great for the quality, plus it appeared to be all women running the show, which is always a plus.

Ok so I've been dying to come here since it's gotten so much hype from all my foodie friends....and let me tell you, this joint lived up to ALL the hype I've heard for months! We were warmly greeted by a super friendly employee, who was more than eager to help us and let us try any cookie we wanted. To my surprise, we were given any cookie to sample and were informed that they give unlimited samples of any cookie we wanted...we were like....WHAT what WHAT?! Better than going into an ice cream shop getting samples...maybe....! Our favorites out of the bunch we tried were the FRIDA - spicy chocolate with chile de arbol and a ganache center (what a freakin' creative cookie combo flavor by the way!) Zooey which is a lemon blueberry chia flavor, and the horchata one was pretty fantastic! Wishing they opened a location in Utah County, as I know it would blow up here!

Seriously my favorite cookie place ever, unique flavors you can actually taste. They let you sample flavors so you can actually get something you like instead of just guessing. Laura was super sweet and made our experience very pleasant, and all of the other employees were awesome too. A great experience in all aspects!!! Ruby Snap is AMAZING!!! My favorite thing to do when we travel is to find the bakeries and dessert shops in town. Ruby Snap was on my list and it did not disappoint! The smell is so inviting when you open their door and the cookie display makes you want to choose everything. Since searching for bakeries is what I do, I had already been on their website prepping for my experience. I was excited to find a few extra monthly cookies, in addition to what I had already seen online. I wish I could remember the name of the woman that waited on us because she was so helpful and very knowledgeable about the cookies. The most exciting part of the visit to Ruby Snap (besides the cookies themselves) was hearing the woman behind the counter say, “Would you like to sample any of them?” What?!? I can try a baked good before I purchase??? This was fantastic news! We bought every cookie that my husband and I sampled. In fact, one cookie that I was hesitant on while reading about it online, turned out to be my favorite bite in the store and we bought two of those! This bakery is located in Salt Lake City but we were staying in Park City for this trip. The idea was to grab a quick bite and a cookie for the road. We bought a whole box of cookies and they were amazing to snack on during our stay in Park City. Hands down, the best cookie bakery we have found in all of our travels! Did I mention that we flew back out of Salt Lake?? Hope everyone liked their Ruby Snap souvenirs!

The most incredible cookie flavors EVER. The texture was chewy on the inside and crispy out. Well balanced sweetness. Perfection. I will be getting some shipped to Southern California, for sure! I stumbled upon this place on a road trip across the US and this will be a favorite American food experience, forever. The butternut squash seasonal cookie is EPIC. Tastes better than pumpkin pie.

This is THE BEST cookie place in Utah! We’ve been coming here for several years now (even though it’s a 25 min drive for us.) They have such a variety of flavors and also have monthly flavors. Each flavor is unique and yummy. I’ve never met a cookie I didn’t like at Ruby Snap. They are not greasy and they don’t leave you with that sickening sweet feeling. The employees are so friendly and they will let you sample the cookies. Also, each time you buy a box, there’s a coupon for a free cookie for next time! Give them a try, you won’t regret it!!

These are the best cookies in Utah. Each cookie is the best cookie you’ll ever have, and it’s not going to be replicated at another store. The BEST cookie store in Salt Lake, by far. Unique delicious flavors and not so overly sweet and caked with frosting like many places. They offer generous samples to help you decide (it's not easy!) and are very friendly. This is my go-to place for cookies. Added bonus- they sell them frozen at Harmon's Grocery so when you need a late snack you can just pop a few in the oven.

May Cookie of the Month Patsy Jane - Fresh Blackberries, Blackberry Glaze and Vanilla Bean Mascarpone. Louise - Vanilla buttercream inside a modern spiced oatmeal sandwich cookie. Virginia - Robust ginger and dark molasses in a chewy cookie, rolled in raw turbinado sugar. May Cookie of the Month Darby - Chocolate Oatmeal cookie with a Peanut Butter cream cheese. Sneak Peak at the Winifred Cookie - Trailmix style cookie feature pecans, pumpkin seeds and chocolate chips. The Amy was Rich and Decadent! If you area craving sweets, this is the place for you. Upon walking in, we were encouraged to sample as many different cookies as we liked. It was such a treat to get to try different flavors before buying. The customer service was awesome and the cookies were super tasty! The cookies I tried were more cakey which I like, but some may not prefer. I am still day dreaming about the frosting on the red velvet cookie. So far this is the best cookie place I have tried in the city, go here!

I'm obsessed with Ruby Snap! They are OG of cookie shops in SLC! I've been here countless times throughout the years and the quality of each cookie and customer service doesn't change! It's consistent and it gets better every single time. I'm telling you, you need to experience Ruby Snap when you're in SLC. I'm saying "experience" because these cookies aren't your regular chocolate chip. They are so different and flavourful with a new flavor each month. Everything is reasonably priced here. Our house favorite is the Vivianna which is mango with dark chocolate (you're welcome). Also, they have frozen raw cookies that you can take and bake at home. We love it here and hope that they continue their success and deliciousness. PS: we got a free cookie with our last visit and the girl that helped us was so nice!

Someone delivered these to my workplace and whatever cookie I had was life changing. It’s not on the menu online, so it must be a special of some kind? A decadent combination of lavender and citrus with some sort of sweet glaze. All the cookies were beautiful and all of them tasted amazing.

So I have to say I wrote a review a few days ago about the store bought take home and bake cookies and how I bought some and they didn’t taste great at all. Tami ( the owner ) reached out to me personally to apologize and explained how once they leave their store they don’t control how other stores ( the grocery store I bought it from ) handle the products as far as temperature control and storage. However she apologized to me and stood by her products and her company and assured that this is not a normal thing for her products to taste so bad. She helped me get in contact with Ambryn and they both worked very hard to make things right. I don’t know how much respect and appreciate I can have or give to them both but this is one company I can say will stand by their products 100%. They ended up shipping me a fresh box of cookies and in a bold move ( at least I thought ) they sent me some of the cookies I had complained about in my original review. All I can say is wow the cookies were amazing !! Tami thank you so much and the personalized note was such a great touch and really made me feel heard and appreciated as a customer. Truly an amazing company !!

These ladies and their cookies are LEGIT. The Utah cookie market has been flooded with generic (dare I say cookie-cutter?) cookie shops that use the same basic dough for everything on their menu. RubySnap actually creates unique and wonderful flavors and textures that are all delicious! I stop here every time I want a special treat and you’ll often find the bake-at-home bags in my freezer. I’ve used both the shipping and delivery services with wonderful results! I recommend RubySnap to literally everyone when the topic of cookies comes up. One last tip… Normally I am not a fan of gingerbread or anything like it, BUT—— warm Virginias + vanilla bean ice cream = holiday treat perfection! You’re welcome!

I’ve loved your cookies for 10+ years. I used to got to the shop in salt lake weekly, I no longer live there. However I buy the cookies at the grocery store whenever possible. Your cookies are flavorful and delicious. I miss the variety from the ruby snap store but the options at the grocery store are delicious. I see crumbl cookies opening all over and they are flavorless and offer a few options(all taste the same, flavorless). I moved forever away to eagle mountain. If you even open something nearby I’d be oh so happy to be a regular again. You’re cookies are amazing, your employees are always helpful, the theme of your business is amazing. YOU ARE LOCAL! Please save us from places like flavorless crumbl cookies.

Ruby Snap has been a go to for years in our family, and will continue to be one. If you want arguably the best cookie you’ll find in Salt Lake City, or better yet Utah…then stop in and pick literally any cookie in the case, you won’t be disappointed, unless maybe your taste buds are broken…then you have deeper problems. Semi-sweet wishful thinking: the chocolate in the spicy arbol is good but there is no spice. The goat cheese frosting on the strawberry cookie is good but only covers a tiny bit. The cinnamon orchata tastes like cinnamon but a more dense, rice flour added cookie would be wonderful. The ginger cookies taste like ginger... But all in all there's a lot of room for improvement for $3.50 cookies that are half the size or smaller compared to gooey, melt in your mouth, crisp on the outside competitors for $4.50 that have less cakey texture and deeper flavors rather than light flavors. Service is excellent and fast, and I do appreciate the samples, but my friends and I ended up getting several samples and purchasing something different because none of the flavors left us wanting more. If you appreciate more fluffy, tender cookies with milder flavors and a lot of variety, you will like this much better than I did.

The French have pastry & croissant. Salt Lake City has Ruby Snap Fresh! From the amazing packaging, thoughtful preperation and whats sure to be pure palatable bliss - its a box of Ruby Snap's beyond. Each batch meticulously prepared daily to exacting specification. We've found the Da Vinci code for artisan living! When you buy 1/2 dozen or more of these confectionary delights, your package comes wrapped with a band giving you a freebie on your next visit - as well the all hit playlist of 20 cookies in a wonderlust lineup. That's one more mouth watering wait list bringing you back again & again & again.

Ruby Snap is one of my favorite places to go for dessert! The shop is super cute. You can sample all of the cookies before deciding what to buy. They have a big selection with classics like chocolate chip and peanut butter, but they also have some unique flavors like mango chocolate chip. They think really out of the box when it comes to their cookie of the month (they once had a curry cookie!). Prices aren't super cheap, but the cookies are gourmet and good quality, and they make up for it with the samples and good service. They also give you a coupon for a free cookie every time you go, so you can use that on your next order. Highly recommend!

LOVE. I am not prone to eating many desserts/sweets/treats but I make an exception for these cookies. Great flavors, great quality, great variety, great service. I make an effort to swing by every month so I can try the two specials - which are usually awesome happiness, sometimes somewhat odd...but hey, kudos that they are willing to try new things! The regular menu is solid, though I miss the chocolate chip bacon cookies. Alas.

You need to go here if you love cookies. They were the most moist, flavorful and soft cookies I have ever eaten in my life. They are a tad bid on the expensive side ($2.50 a cookie) but you can taste whatever samples you want! I’m glad I don’t live near them bc I would buy them everyday. Staff was amazing and helpful. The atmosphere was simple but cookies made up for it!

Tami is a genius cookie maker. Her combinations are just mind-boggling. Who would ever have thought to put sweet potato in a cookie. Delicious. I’ve been going to Ruby Snap for years. Fluffy doughy soft and not too sweet and with so many flavors to choose from, there's got to be one that fits your taste bud! My favorite is the tiramisu, is like eating a mini cake...yum! They ship their cookies too! And I plan to order some...I'm missing their cookies already.

If I could give RubySnap 10 stars, I would. The cinnamon snickerdoodle cookie is the best cookie I’ve ever had, literally ever. The vanilla buttercream was surprisingly fantastic as I’m not normally a sugar cookie fan. All of the other cookies were great too. We couldn’t rank them. Try them all! The Zoey, the Aubrey and everything in between. Also, say hi to their incredible staff. They are warm, welcoming and make the visit a great experience. I don’t know if I’ll ever be back to Salt Lake City but I will definitely be ordering cookies from RubySnap.

Ok I want to first apologize if this gets long, I also should probably apologize to my wife who up until this point has taken the spot for "world's best cookie". "Oh.... my..... God....." are the words that shamelessly escaped my mouth the first time Amy touched my tongue...... I remember thinking holy cow I didn't know food could make me feel this way. And instantly feeling guilty as if I had just somehow stepped out of our bonds of holy matrimony, and then I just laughed at the thought and how very clever Ruby Snap was at their branding! And realized I must have had quite a facial expression from the looks I was getting across the counter from the staff, embarrassed I kind of laughed out loud and the smiles assured me this was not the first time they have seen this reaction. Since then I have had the opportunity to "sample" every lady cookie on the menu (free samples) every time it came down to literally putting my money where my mouth was I always came back to my first love.....Amy. After a few months of sneaking over to Ruby's for some "side cookie" I found out that they rotate two lady cookies in for a "cookie of the month" rotation with two new cookie flavors (really every single cookie I have tried at Ruby's is next level it really is and you can't go wrong). However I have decided to first review my true cookie love...Amy. On my next review, (Amy permitting) I am asking for an open relationship with terms.... And those terms are simple I will review each lady cookie each month compared to my first love to see how it stacks up and the true test of a BOMB cookie is if I can justify spending the $2.50 on her.

They offer unlimited samples, and they really mean it, which I love. Truly the staff is at least as good as the cookies. The options seemed endless and mouthwatering. This is a must try!

My boyfriend knows that every time I’m in SLC, we have to stop by at least twice. I’ve found the flavors exciting. I like the consistency and taste outburst that come with each bite. Also, the fact that there’s a sampling option makes it worth it, because I wouldn’t want to buy a new flavor I wasn’t feeling. The customer service is amazing. One of the staff made me feel seen and cared for during my last two visits. Remembering who I was and recognizing my partner after a single interaction made me feel like I wasn’t “just a customer,” but a person who mattered, too. Thus far, my favorite cookies have been the passion fruit, blueberry lemon, vanilla bean, orange zest and lemon zest cookies. At the end of the day, what a person likes comes down to preference, but I highly recommend Ruby Snap over the overhyped Crumbl Cookies any day. Just wish there were several locations around the country, because now I always have to take a box with me to spread the ruby love with friends in Colorado and Oklahoma.

RubySnap has become and will always be one of my very favorite places. I went there the very first month they opened about two years ago, and I have been a repeat customer every month to try the new monthly rotationals. The staff is always pleasant and eager to make tasty suggestions. While they can be a bit pricy, it's always well worth it since you can basically sample everything and, c'mon, support your local businesses! Even when you can't get your fix from the brick and mortar, a lot of stores have started carrying their frozen dough, which is a huge A+. If nothing else, let the glamour of the cookies speak for itself. (Ignore that one is missing from the dozen. I ate it. 😅)

Frankly, I am not overly impressed with these cookies. Aside from the unique assortment, I find the cookies don’t taste all that great. The textures are odd, as in being too cake like in the center, and extremely crisp on the outside, as though they were frozen first. Instead of having rich favors, the cookies are overcompensated by too much sugar. For the price, I would stick to grocery store bakery cookies. They fair about the same. Some of the cookies I would compare to Pillsbury dough products in quality. I didn’t get or feel anything homemade with any of the cookies I tried. The chocolate chip cookies were some of the worst I have had in Utah.

A very cool, modern cookie bakery with some awesome flavors. The service is always super fast and friendly. The cookies are huge, soft-baked cookies with some interesting flavors mixed in with the traditional ones you would expect. All of the cookie names are themed after names you'd expect to hear in 50s, which adds its own flair. My favorite is the Audrey, which is almonds, cranberries, and white chocolate. The Suzie, which is a pink cherry and milk chocolate cookie, is also amazing. If you're unsure of what you want, they're more than happy to let you sample any cookie you want. BEST cookie shop in Utah!! Alright, listen up, because I am actually not a huge cookie person, but since moving back to Utah I have tried to so many cookie shops (I mean there are tons here...) and RubySnap is my all time FAVORITE!. The horchata cookie, Snickerdudette, is life-changing and has dethroned my previous fave cookies ever from NYC. This is THE cookie, the cookie I never knew I NEEDED in my life. I love it! Besides the Snickerdudette, a few of my other favorites include the Zoey (blueberry lemon chia), her Feb grapefruit and rose specials, Margo (chocolate mint), and Lola (lemon). The Amby (brown butter walnut) and Vivanna (mango dark chocolate) are solid options as well. I love how she comes up with fun, new specials each month and is always experimenting. My husband has celiac sprue and is always so jealous of the cookies I get from RubySnap. Recently, they came out with a Friday flourless GF whoopie pie special that was just for March and they were so good! We are definitely hoping that they come out with more GF options in the future! I love RubySnap so much! They also offer some of their cookies as take n- back options, like in Harmons, and she ships several of the cookies nationwide. Highly recommend, 5++++ stars for RubySnap!

She only serves cookies, but there are so many amazing flavors to choose from! My favorite cookies in Utah! I try to come here just about every time I'm in Salt Lake. Of the regular flavors, I love the Lola (lemon) and Snickerdudette (cinnamon), but my favorite is a seasonal one they have in the summers, the Maggie (strawberry peach with honey goat cheese frosting). Utah has a lot of cookie shops, but RubySnap is FOR SURE the best place to get them. I tend to think a lot of cookie stores in UT are a fad, but this one is in a whole other league. Here's a list of what I like about RubySnap cookies compared to other common cookie brands in UT (e.g., Chip, Crumbl, etc.). 1) RubySnap has unique flavors! Many other cookie companies have flavor varieties, but I feel like they tend to be gimmicky and ordinary. RubySnap has dozens of signature flavors that are always in the store, and the rotating/new specials are always exciting, unique, and delicious. 2) RubySnap cookies are a great size Other cookie stores sell gigantic cookies that nobody can/should finish. I much prefer getting 2-3 RubySnap cookies with different flavors than one giant cinnamon cookie from Crumbl. 3) RubySnap has the best customer service RubySnap has the best customer service ever! They are great at letting people get free samples. They are careful during COVID and aren't able to do their smaller samples, but some employees have been willing to give us free cookies to make up for it. Amazing! They are able to answer all questions and are super friendly. This review is probably too long, but this really the best cookie place in UT. Also, they sell some of their cookies in the frozen aisle of Harmon's and other grocery stores. Definitely worth checking those out, too.

So we all know from 158 reviews that Ruby Snap has super amazing cookies. That much is clear. But I wanted to write a review focusing on how awesome their customer service is. All the workers in there look super happy. They were all really on top it, acting really proud of the cookies they were selling, smiling, and actually offering more samples of cookies than we asked for. So helpful and nice. I actually left this place feeling happier than I did going in (although that was also in part to having a delicious box full of cookies).

The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the cookies are top-of-the-line. The storefront is well-lit and immaculately clean, which is a must. They cost $2.50 each, which seems expensive, but they let you try as many samples as you want, so it is worth the cost. They come in a cute box, making them a great gift. The cookies are baked fresh daily and the women who work in the shop are friendly and helpful. They also give you a coupon for a free cookie for the next time you come in. In my estimation, one of the best "store-bought" bake-at-home gourmet cookies you'll find. They're made right here locally in Utah. They're pricey but the taste is pretty much worth it if you have the time, inclination, and money to spend on RubySnap cookies. I was introduced to RubySnap at a Harmons in-store promotion in The District one Saturday so I decided to give them a try. I bought the Trudy Chocolate Chip (each variety of cookie has a first given name... in this case: Trudy). Delicious! BUT NOT ENOUGH CHOCOLATE CHIPS for the price. They could definitely use MORE chocolate chips. PLEASE! Don't be stingy with the chocolate chips! I give them a 4 1/2. They'd get a 5 from me if there were enough (more) chocolate chips. They have other flavors I'll need to try as well.

These are some superior cookies. Each one of them a treat. My personal favorite is Suzie. You can taste the high quality in each bite. I have to be careful here as it is easy to overindulge. Prices are on the higher side, but worth it. Parking on the street is usually not an issue. Can be hard to find if you aren't sure where your are going. Persist and you will be thankful you did.

They had a stand set up with samples, so we tried a few samples and the took a frozen bag home. In the bag came 6 frozen cookies. The cookies are good, but also way over priced. Edit: I felt the need to clarify a few things after the owner responded. First, great, you haven't raised your prices. Even if they haven't changed, it's still a way lot for a single cookie, and you will only get a price as low as $1.75 if you buy 350+ cookies, a fact they so conveniently didn't mention. Yes, they are not as expensive as some places, but just because somewhere is way WAY overpriced, doesn't mean this place can't still be way overpriced. Lastly, 3/5 stars isn't bad, it's better than average still. It's just not a full 5/5, nothing wrong with that.

I had always enjoyed their cookies, stopping in for monthly samples, etc. But I recently got married and I knew I had to have ruby snap cookies at my wedding! They delivered 400 fresh baked cookies to my venue in Millcreek, UT and they were a hit! Everyone at the wedding raved about how good they were, and took home lots of extras in take home bags. I highly recommend their cookies just for fun, but also for any event you have. I have yet to find a cookie that is better than any single one of the options offered by RubySnap. The staff is friendly, upbeat, and competent and the interior of the store is adorable. I once called about half an hour before I came in to ask them to set aside a number of their (surprisingly delicious) maple bacon chocolate chip cookies and they happily did so. The prices are a little high, but definitely worth it. Although I don't live in the area, I always try to stop by and grab at least one Frida (spicy chile chocolate with a ganache center) when I'm in town. I've enjoyed every flavor I've tried here and look forward to coming back for more.

I guess these ladies started this business and this is the only physical location that I know of. They even give you free samples to try. They are absolutely DROP DEAD GOOD!!! So much so, in fact, that even though they didn't have a parking lot I'm still giving them a 5 star. Their cookies are heavenly. Especially the cherry flavor! I've yet to have a cookie from here that disappointed. The area isn't extremely ideal though and parking is not a reality; they are a little bit pricey as well.
