Reviews of Eva's Bakery
John Mogannam
Great little boutique bakery and breakfast place. I got the eggs Benedict and my girlfriend got the Stuffed French toast. Both were great but the French toast was probably my favorite. And she also says their OJ is fantastic. We were too full to actually have a pastry at breakfast. But be warned, they go quick. We tried to come back and snag a couple around 1pm and they were already nearly out of everything for the day. They get very busy. All the pastries look like they're baked on site in the back. Great spot overall, highly recommend.

Lovely, cozy, delicious! This adorable cafe has a breakfast and lunch menu, assortment of pastries and coffees. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely a wonderful place for a light meal or treat! I would recommend the grilled cheese and tomato bisque and the vanilla macaroons! Definitely will be revisiting!

Ah, Eva’s Bakery. I had such high hopes. Let me start by saying the food is delicious, the pastry flaky, and the bread amazing. I’d give the food 5 stars. What is lacking is the service. I’m not sure if they’re understaffed, however the sense of urgency was entirely absent (and I’ve worked in a restaurant before, so I know how it goes). We saw our waiter one time to take our order about 15min after we were seated, and that was it. No water refills. Didn’t ask how we were doing during the meal. Nothing. I was shocked, given the ratings and the homey ambiance. It wasn’t just our server, however. It seemed to be all the staff members working the indoor seating. This doesn’t include the staff at the counter, who were very nice and quick. With limited indoor seating & lack of staff urgency, be prepared to have delicious food with poor service.

Nice selection of breads and pastries! The seeded baguette is beautiful, but the crumb was tighter than I would have expected. The chocolate croissant was buttery and flaky, but disappointingly there was very little chocolate in it and it was all in only one area of the croissant. I’m interested in stopping by again and trying some of their other offerings, because the display did look lovely.

This bakery is a delight. Not only is the aesthetic exactly what you want from an upscale boulangerie, but the pastries are perfectly flaky, buttery, and delicious. The croissants are expertly made with beautiful lamination and no sogginess or staleness, the outside is crisp and flaky with a soft inside just like croissants are meant to be. The staff are also incredibly friendly and on top of things. The coffee is good, as well. Overall, a wonderful experience. Can’t wait to go back!

Delightful. Such a fun downtown cafe experience. Family favorites were the pastries and the eggs Benedict on potatoes instead of an English Muffin (a great swap to make it gluten free.) The avacado toast was a family favorite as was the bacon and hot chocolate. The avocado beet toast was good, but there were too many beets even for us beet lovers.
Excellent service and friendly staff.

Definitely one of our fave places for a quick but delicious breakfast! We always walk out with eclairs, bread, and more when we leave as well. This time we got to try the raspberry macaroons...yum!
For breakfast we did the Eggs Benedict and the Croissant breakfast Sandwich, would do both again!

I’ve been wanting to try Evas for a while now and finally got around to doing it. Amazing food and service! The menu has options that everyone will love. Parking is a bit difficult but it’s located downtown and the walk is enjoyable. Everything we ordered was so good. We’ll be coming back again!

This place? it’s a must! Deserved all the stars given. We got Eclair to go and had breakfast at the place, yum !!!
People come and go all the time.
We love the staff here, all of them are very attentive and so welcoming to everyone as far that I have noticed.
Everything was so good, no wonder it’s so busy.

I lived in France for a few years and it is certainly difficult to find a good boulangerie in the US. I wouldn’t say it’s 100% authentic but pretty darn close. The food was sooooo yummy. The baguette was I believe sourdough which I would have preferred a traditional French style. Either way, it was fantastic and I’d eat here over and over again.
Harry
Glad we have found this place. After 10 days of hiking in the wilderness and eating cereal bars, this was just what we needed! The croissant 🥐 was super fluffy and fresh and the coffee was good too! Now onto exploring the city before heading back! …

Small bakery offering to-go breads, pastries, baked goods, and small bites/sandwiches. Coffee, espresso, and espresso drinks are also available, as well as various other bottled drinks. They also have a sit-down cafe with a full menu, although this review is only for takeout.
Stopped by on a Sunday, which was very busy for both takeout and sit down. There is a large selection of fresh baked breads that can be warmed on the spot before taking away. There was a selection of croissants, including chocolate, almond, and almond chocolate. They also sell macarons (standard flavors), eclairs, and fruit tarts.
I picked up a chocolate croissant (chocolate-almond was sold out by around noon) and it was one of the best croissants I've ever had. It was perfectly flakey, had a subtle butter flavor without any fake flavors, and the chocolate was a perfect ratio and of high quality.
The macarons (vanilla, pistachio, lemon, and raspberry) were perfectly done as well. The shells were crunchy yet chewy and the filling was a nice mix of buttercream and filling. They were not overly sweet and perfect sized. My favorite was the raspberry and lemon, vanilla in third, and pistachio last (not normally a pistachio person, so this wasn't against them!).
Also grabbed a fruit tart and it was delicious. The shell was crusty and buttery and the filling was not overly sweet. The fruit tasted fresh and wasn't coated in a glaze like most tarts. The shell had white chocolate on the inside, presumably to keep it from getting soggy, which was a bit tough to cut through with a fork. It didn't take away from the taste though and overall it was a delicious fruit tart.
I regret not getting an eclair, they looked awesome and definitely would grab one next time.

Parking was difficult, that is about the only bad thing I have to say. Get the potatoes!!! Most delicious creamy potatoes I've had. French toast was amazing the lemon filling paired well with blueberry compote. Don't forget your mask, they do require it upon entry.
Adam Stenman
Just wow. Look at this french toast and granola... No need to describe how fantastic they are.
The cold brew coffee deserves a proper review though. As a Swede I'm picky about my coffee and used to disappointment when it comes to coffee in the states. Not here, however. The cold brew is just as strong as a proper coffee should be without being too bitter, overly extracted or just tasting a bit like charcoal from using over-roasted coffee beans (french roast or god forbid 'skånerost'). Eva's cold brew has exquisite flavor, leaning towards sweet with hints of cherry, blackcurrant and went really well with my french toast and granola. Thank you Eva's Bakery!

Ohhh this place really did exceed my expectations. I had heard it was great but was not prepared for HOW great. The veggie quiche was perfection. The pastry crust, absolutely divine. The scalloped potatoes were lovely. My partner got the grilled cheese with tomato basil soup and it was also delicious. I can't wait to come back here and try some actual pastries!

Popped in for a quick dinner before the Jazz game. Sat at the bar. Walked in with no reservation. Had a great time. Had the oink oink oink, brussel sprouts, pork tenderloin, steak and salad. All delicious. Would recommend.
Michelle Tanner
Never been to this gem before. Was looking for a good breakfast place and it just so happens it was a bakery as well. Everything we ordered was amazing. The best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had. Beautiful location. And amazing food!🥰 …
Scott Yergensen
We stumbled on this place for breakfast this morning while staying at the Hotel Monaco. It was absolutely incredible. We had Boulange Benedict and stuffed french toast. We also loaded up on pastries to take home to the kids. Check this place out next time you are in downtown SLC. You won't regret it.
Jade Tran
Very delicious brunch. Some of the best croissant sandwiches and egg benedicts I've ever tried. The golden potatoes had a good flavor but could be more crispy. Overall really good I'd come back!
Sarah Blanco
Absolutely delicious with an amazing staff! We ordered the stuffed French toast, French onion soup and grilled cheese with tomato soup, I cannot wait to go back. This is definitely our new go-to for breakfast or pastries 😊 …
Chelsea Getchell
Pretty & petit restaurant to go with your girlfriends or romantic interest for a breakfast/lunch date. I caught up here with a childhood companion and could not disagree with any of the well thought out details here. They even allow dogs..!
Things you should know:
I. LOCATION
Off of S Main St. We parked at City Creek Center Mall since we knew they had free 2 hour parking in the garage. The walk to the bakery is brief from there and you get to enjoy looking at the city a little bit along the way.
II. SERVICE
Friendly & informative. What more could you ask for in the experience?
III. QUALITY
Fresh and delicious pastries. I'm a large fan of brie cheese so I was excited to see the Turkey Croque on the menu
IV. CAPACITY
For a Thursday at lunch hour, the restaurant was full. BUT seating us only took a 15 minute wait ~ we were sad too see a majority of the pastries picked over, so I recommend coming in sooner than us...!
Karina Bertelli
I have been wanting to try Eva's
Bakery for a little while now but just haven't had the chance or no parking in the area. We went during a week day morning time and we were able to find parking super close. The bakery itself is super cute and all the pastries are to die for! I love how French it is! Our food was delicous and the atmosphere is great! Our service was amazing too! This is such a fun place for a date. We ordered coffee and their croissant sandwiches which comes with salad and potatoes. Delicious! Can't wait to come back with more time and try all their pastries.
Michael Irey
Super delicious potatoes!!!!! Really enjoyed my breakfast here, our server was awesome he was very tentative to our table and also made a special iced coffee that was super good. Sad all of the pasty’s on the desert menu was sold out that we wanted to try…maybe that tells you how good they are? Thanks for the good food we will see you again soon!
andres cardenas
Great little place to get breakfast! The only problem is that it’s a little place with high demand! Expect to wait a while to be seated and served. But once you are served the food is extraordinary. We got the Boulange Benedict and grilled cheese with tomato bisque and would order this again!
Natasha
The best breakfast in the convention center vicinity. Delicious teas & pastries. Very good French toasts and croissants. Highly recommend. Service very friendly but a bit slow. Also, it's very small, so pland accordingly.
Michelle Ashley
This place is a true gem. All the bakery items are baked to perfection. We tried the almond croissant, almond/chocolate croissant, and pecan roll. Breakfast highly recommend the brunch flatbread and quiche. There is limited seating and this place is popular for good reason, make sure to come before 11am on a weekend

Eva’s Bakery is my go-to breakfast place every time I visit SLC. Their menu is consistently delicious! The avocado toast is amazing, and I get almond croissants to go for my mid-day snack. Great staff, great food!
Sven Doerfel
What a wonderful bakery. Beautiful interior and delicious food. The service is outstanding. Special shout-out to Dave who was super friendly and helped us perfectly!
Roma Zabo
The food was amazing. The line and waiting time was awful. They should hire more people or tell guests right away that it's going to be 25 minutes wait for coffee and sweets
N Y
We ordered Boulange Benedict and it was delicious. The egg yolk is cooked well, and the meal itself is not too salty which I loved. I actually enjoyed the potatoes more than the benedict^_^
Corey Jones
Such a cute place to eat. The stuffed french toast was delicious! I don't typlically do sweet for breafast. There is a reason multiple people have mentioned it! The latte was very good also. Indoor seating consists of tables and a small bar against the wall across from the counter; there are also a few out on the sidewalk, as well. The decor makes it feel like how I would imagine a Parisian cafe to be dexorated.
Rick Johnson
Fantastic bakery/eatery in the heart of downtown SLC. The Beet & Avocado Toast and a cappuccino make my day! Small, busy, and pretty little French style bakery you should not miss.
Chuck Castleton
Great breakfast/brunch and delicious baked goods in a funky downtown location. Good, friendly service. If you want a traditional French chocolate yule log, " buche de Noel", for your Christmas feast, they make them!
Jessica Olsen
The Kouign Amann was amazing and I really liked the ham and cheese croissant. The chai latte was also delicious. Can't wait to go back!
The eating area inside was bigger than I thought but still not huge. The outdoor seating made up for it though and I enjoyed the decor/style. Everything on the menu sounded delicious so I hope to go back soon.
Amanda Hunter
Such a pleasant little bakery / cafe with very friendly staff. The pastries were excellent and made with organic flour.
Sarah
Delicious brunch! I got the stuffed French toast because I was in a rare sweet mood and it was delicious and not too sweet! My friend got the croissant and enjoyed it. The potatoes looked really yummy!
stay_hungry_taipei
gorgeous pastries and services
was impressed by sticky bun and kouign amann
recommended the order onion soup during winter!!
Umut Guzel
Lovely Parisianne. Great atmosphere with products and stuff. Staff stole my heart when they were giving free things to a homeless guy. Appreciate

The art of laminated pastry is alive and well here. Gorgeous French pastries smack center in downtown Salt Lake City was a welcome and surprising find for us. No wonder it is a local treasure. Totally laid back yet professional and attentive service paired with gloriously indulgent bakery-breakfast and brunch/lunch fare all available during business hours. Check out our choices (which were difficult to make with so many fantastic choices that are ALL made in house):
We are heading back tomorrow for lunch and to stock up for our flight home.
Updated 10/22: looks like there’s a grab and go and gelato available.
The kouign-amann and canele. Get them. They are rare. Not many bakeries can pull these off. Theirs are executed perfectly. You’ll need to arrive early as they are first to sell out.
Pete Souvall
Honestly a wonderful experience. Very pleasant staff and atmosphere. I ordered the almond croissant and sat in the small cafe area to enjoy them. Very tranquil and quiet without feeling isolating. The croissant was well baked with beautiful layers and a perfect amount of marzipan filling. The coffee was nice and strong. Perfect way to start the day.
Leen Van De Moere
Very nice atmosphere, definitely reminds me of France. Food really tasty, portions were a bit too large for us 😉 …

Best cafe in Salt Lake City. Friendly people and amazing food, feels like stepping into Paris! Get the Croissant sandwich and mocha, vegan options are good too!
Phil Plourde
Really good breakfast this morning, but let it be known the menu is small and there isn’t a lot of traditional breakfast offerings. However, we had the eggs benedict as well as the blueberry stuffed French toast. Everything was A+.
Agnes Martinez
Delicious! Best breakfast I've had in a long time! I got the Benedict and it was perfect! Fresh bread, quality ham, perfectly cooked egg and a perfectly made hollandaise. The coffee was so good too! My son (4yrs old) got a croissant breakfast sandwich and LOVED IT! We bought some pastries on our way out (to enjoy later) and they were wonderful! The peanut butter bat cookie was a hit with my son, the macaroons were large and delicate and the chocolate croissant was delicious. Can't wait to come back when we visit SLC again!
Kelly Ann
The macaroons are some of the freshest, yummiest, macaroons ever! The lemon blueberry waffles were the perfect sweetness, my friend had the croissant sandwich and she said it was absolutely phenomenal. Cute and quaint, staff is super friendly. Parking is a little difficult but absolutely worth it to give them a try.
J Willis
I’ve made Eva’s a regular stop while traveling to Salt Lake City for work. The breakfast and service is outstanding and the kouign-amann is excellent.
Manish Khanna
Super good food, I wish they had jam or spread with croissants. But highly recommend to visit this place.
Terrence Put
Great service. Their croissants were delicious as well as the coffee. Don't miss the egg Benedict
Marco Montalto Monella
Really friendly staff and very good pastries!
It's probably going my daily breakfast stop while in Salt Lake City! 😋 …

I’ve eaten here at Eva’s twice now, my significant other has 8 times. We come down from Jackson Wyoming once a year and this bakery is a MUST! They have the most delicious breakfast menu I have ever had, and they don’t skimp out on portions, you will leave with your hunger satisfied. For the price you cannot go wrong, and the service by Ms. Afton was wonderful. We will be coming back for many years to come. 12/10. (If you like Benedict, this will blow you away.)
Matt Vermeulen
Two super friendly baristas, away from my family and they made me feel very welcomed. Got large mocha coffee and a ham and cheese croissant and both were delectable! Warmed me up nicely. Not one bad thing to nit-pick if I wanted to. 20/5 stars!! Can’t ask for more love this place and the people :)))
Megan Semjanovs
Delicious! We had the stuffed french toast and croissant sandwich. So yummy. Was a good amount of food. Also got some pastries to go (blueberry danish and chocolate eclair) and they were a wonderful treat later in the day. Cute little place!
Yan Z
Best French pastry in the city! They also have canelé in the morning which is such a pleasant surprise. Perfectly baked. Crunchy outside and pudding like texture inside.
Kouign Amann is another must have. Crispy crunchy perfect layered top and outside while softer bread like layered texture inside.
Pain au chocolat is also perfectly made. Three pieces of dark chocolate evenly distributed. Every bite will have a piece of chocolate.
Date cake is wonderful! Pretty presentation and caramel cream frosting. It does have a strong date aroma.
They do have tasty coffee while the coffee shop next door is even better.
Alexandra Earley
I bring lovers here because it’s so romantic and casual. The servers are always kind and the food is phenomenal. They have options ranging from delicious pastries to filling breakfasts and lunches. Highly recommend, whether you’re dining alone or with someone
M K
Amazing bakery!! I tried one of their avocado toasts and chairs tea latte and both were delicious! I can't wait to go back to try their baked goods and gelato. They have vegan options too! Friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere!
Isaac Katten
Eva Bakery has good pastries and a cute French setting. In the summer, the outdoor seating is lovely, although the light rail will rumble by occasionally. The almond + chocolate croissant seemed to be double-baked style and was delicious. Likewise the BLT sandwich was excellent: the bacon was crisp, the ciabatta roll nicely toasted, avocado thrown in for decadence. I would definitely go back next time I'm in SLC
Felicia Bone
Truly Utah’s best French Bakery!! We are visiting from San Diego and had high expectations. We were very impressed with this bakery…. it exceeded our expectations! We came back twice in one week and highly recommend it to everyone! Delicious!
Farjad Khan
My favorite place for breakfast downtown! I take all my out of town visitors here. Everything on the menu is fantastic and the aesthetic of the cafe is so cute. My favorite items are the danishes, croissants, and eclairs.
Word of advice though, seating is easiest for groups of 2 or 3. It can be crowded on Saturday mornings so just plan accordingly. They do have a to go counter that’s fast or you can order some coffee while you wait.
gabby knudsen
I ordered online and made the mistake of not selecting iced for my coffee. When I was given the hot drink, I mentioned I wanted it iced not knowing it was my error. The barista kindly offered to remake it for me and let me keep the hot one as well. Coffee is delicious and smooth. Also, loved the ham and cheese croissant. Will go back.☺️
Mitchell Alvis
Best Eggs Benedict I've ever had! The rosemary potatoes were amazing too! Of course I didn't try all the lovely looking pastries, but I did try one...a blueberry Danish. Guess what? Amazing too! I'll be back!
Denny N.
First timer i loved your French onion soup one of the best I have ever had ! Taste homemade! My friend loved your blueberry Danish pastry and cappuccino. Will definitely return next time I am in town!!!
Miles Houck
Been here twice now. The food is outrageously good, the service is a bit quirky. Wear your patient pants and pretend you're in Paris.
Try the almond croissant (but everything is great)
William Patton
Camden was our server today - they made us feel very welcome here! They made our experience accessible (moving chairs, providing drinks in a plastic cup with a straw for my friend who needed one, and none for the rest to save plastic) without us even needing to ask. I really appreciate businesses that proactively pay attention to the needs of disabled customers. It was exceptional that Camden knew exactly what we needed to make our experience accessible before we even had a chance to ask. We had iced tea and some pastries which were excellent and priced well. We came later in the day, but if they have the kouign-amman, that’s the best one to get. Every employee we talked to was kind and helpful. Thanks again!
ALEX HENSON
Definitely a great breakfast spot in SLC. The atmosphere and the food were all amazing. The coffee is so rich and smooth. The Boulange Benedict was so flavorful and presented nicely. The macarons were very tasty. I would definitely come back.
J Rome (J Rome Kron Don)
Evas Bakery / Boulangerie/ French Bakery.
Kougin Amman 4.25 and Fruit Tart 6.00. Absolutely delicious. The fruit tart was amazing and a customer recomended the Kougin, a caramel buttery croissant, very good. Nice little french bakery on one of Salt Lakes main streets. Saturday 11am about 10 minute wait to order, chit chat with the locals and enjoy your morning. Longer wait for tables, indoor and out.
Drew M
First time here and it was a wonderful experience. There were happy to do eggs to order and the Chocolate croissant was very good. Nice and relaxing, nice staff, I will be going back.
M Ann
So French in both atmosphere and food (but not in attitude).
Love the new expansion and love the menu, breads and pastries. It's like a mini vacation when I get to spend time here. And they make the best bene I have had in Utah.
only bad thing is that parking is a huge challenge and I don't live anywhere nearby or near trax so I am stuck.
Captain Obvious
The food was amazing and the employees were really nice. However, they don't seem to pay attention to their tables much as it took longer than it should have to get the order taken, then we got our food all at different times, they were out of 4 if 5 items we asked for, and when it was time to pay I had to leave my table and get someone's attention to pay. Also two of the girls working today were wearing SHOT shorts and a SHORT skirt that both were extremely close to showing off their butts. Not very professional if you ask me.
Eve G.
Pain au chocolat. Only 1 out of 2 bars of chocolat
Macaron- Pistachio
Amanda Martinez
I used to come to this place everyday when I worked in downtown. Convinced my friend to come. The coffee used to be soo good but both our drinks tasted like milk. We ordered a chia latte with two shots and Au Miel. It tasted of milk and no flavoring nor coffee taste. It also took them 1 hr and 15 minute’s to sit us but told us it was a 10-15 minute wait. The food came out super fast and tasted good. Our waitress while super nice, never checked up on us we had to Flagg her down to order and to check out. I don’t want this to sound like a complaint. The place is cute the people are nice, but little more customer care would go a long way.
joel vazquez
Cute bake shop with very friendly staff. I ordered the French toast, avocado toast, and house potatoes.
All of them were delicious(add the potatoes to the avocado toast to enhance it!), our server Dave was very friendly and enjoyable.
Dr. Phile
Best Ice Cream Ever !! Try Tiramisu and Penna Cotta and chocolate Orange and peppermint! Delicious! The people there are wonderful, I loved the atmosphere! I fell in love with the whole bakery... thank you so much !!
Lis Malmgren
I love this bakery. We eat here every time we come up to SLC. They have great pastries. They are always busy but worth the wait! This is a don’t miss stop.
Chelsea Wade
love love loooove this place. It is so picturesque and have delicious options. The staff are friendly and professional, the outdoor seating is great, and they were quick with their service. Great place to go!
Andy Shaw
Amazing baked goods, breakfast croissant sandwich, and coffees (espresso, drip, and lattes were all great). Wonderfully buttery croissants. The cinnamon roll is possibly one of the best I've ever had! Very friendly and helpful staff.
Alexander Meyer
Very friendly and a great variety of tasty food. The 2 lovely people who worked today in the morning, showed me again what an amazing friendly city Salt Lake City is. Thank you
Ismo M
Stopped there on our way to Moulin Rouge at the Eccles.
The benedict was the best one I had in SLC... so far.
Instead of the usual English muffin, it sat on a toasted sourdough bread (which I'll always prefer). I had them replace the ham with chicken.
All the ingredients including the (rosemary?) potatoes were in perfect symbiose. Personally, I think the fact that the potatoes were sliced and not diced shaped, made it more enjoyable.
Parisian Frog was okay.
Philip Co
The impending closure of Les Madeleines compels me to write this review. While Eva’s Bakery is more boulangerie than patisserie, those of you who enjoy viennoiserie as much as I need not despair. Eva’s offers excellent canelés. In fact, they’re some of the best that I’ve had, including those I’ve enjoyed in France. Bon appetit!
Diane Ward
Excellent food selection and wonderful pastries. Even had some vegan options. Reasonable prices. Very french Cafe atmosphere.
Jo LaMarr
Eva's was such a nice experience :)
Went here for a celebratory breakfast and had an awesome time. It seems tiny but there is actually a good amount of room for dining inside! Yes, it's a bakery, but it's also like a café! I'm very pleased with the distance they set between tables.
We had a wait time, but it was no big deal since we parked nearby. Not only is the interior so nice with the somewhat rustic blue theme, but the service is also awesome.
Currently, for COVID precuations, aside from the spacing, they have QR menus which allow you to not only order, but also PAY from your phone! This makes it super easy to split checks!
The coffee was absolutely incredible (credit to their mastery of Caffe Ibis beans and the espresso process). I was completely in awe of the drink. The shot was so expertly pulled and the blend of chocolate and perfectly foamed milk balanced exactly right with the espresso flavor. I felt like Remy from Ratatouille tasting each individual flavor as they blended together. The food was also really good and very well priced. I can't wait to come back!
Matthew Crawford
Excellent cappuccino and the best flaky pastry I've ever had. Even the ham and cheese croissant was finely layered and crunchy.
Jennifer Hum
Got the Quiche Lorraine to split with my boyfriend and got the Croque Madame all to myself. The quiche was perfection. The Croque Madame was a little burnt and needed a little more cheese. We came on a Saturday and didn’t have to wait.
K G
The croissants are amazing. The decor is very nice and welcoming. The coffee was fantastic and the chai latte was amazing. show up early or all of the good pastries will be gone, you will definitely be back. Parking is downtown so it might take you a moment to find a spot. I would recommend this establishment to a friend.
Maxwell's Unearthly (FireFleye Supernatural)
* Has a great French feel to it.
* Been here a couple times, food menu is very tasty.
* Staff is friendly and attentive
* Saturday parking downtown is free
- Places to sit (depending of # of ppl) can be a bit snug
- Depending on when you go, waiting times can vary from 15-25 min.

My first time here for a quick dessert and tea and loved it! Ultra quaint spot, great selection of fun desserts and great tea by Tea Grotto. Honestly, the best brownie I've ever had! Indoor and outdoor seating available.
Nancy C
5 stars for food and ambiance. Cute little bakery. Breakfast selection is small but enough. Stuffed French toast and the Quiche Lorraine were flavorful and well presented. Kouign Amann and the croissants were flaky. 3.5 stars for the sit down service. The restaurant section seemed understaffed because service was a little slow and slightly cold.
Wendy Bird
Perfect —- divinely perfect. Save the airline fee and covid risk on a flight to Paris and drive to downtown Slc for the crisp flakey buttery yum mines of Evas Bakery. Croissants 🥐 that tantalize the tastebuds, almond croissants that pull apart and have the perfect blend of almond paste to bread and beautifully toasted almonds- and the Mocha? Handmade in house chocolate sauce without the nasty syrup after taste!
And the macaroons? Don’t even get me started...
LAURIE BATES
The people that work here are super friendly and helpful. The food is out of this world yummy. Make sure to get a loaf of sour dough bread so chewy and also yummy Thank you for sharing you talents
Derek Hurd
Sooooo many great pastries, breads, all made from local organic flour! The coffee us great too.
The only reason for a 4 star is because there didn't see to be any urgency in any of the employees. It took 15inutes to get a black iced coffee... Other than that this place is really neat and worth a visit!
Jacob Ashton
Came here to take a break from a conference and was very pleased.
The staff was friendly and helpful: case in point, I watched someone else spill a drink all over themselves and the table, the staff promptly and politely helped clean up the mess while still making sure service moved for the other guests.
In terms of food, I couldn't ask for more. I had a mocha, which was good, and the stuffed french toast, which was GREAT. Plenty of blueberries on top, the toast was crisp without tasting stale, and the filling had a good consistency appropriate for the toast. It was definitely not a healthy breakfast, but it didn't feel heavy and awful, they did a good job. Recommended!
Karen (華蓮)
I recommend it :) Cute shop with vintage style. They offer staff service (e.g. getting sitted in a table) there is a classic selection of bread and drinks; overall it is affordable.
I noticed that most of the costumers are in their mid thirties and over and they seemed very happy.
If you come you have to try avocado toast!
Overall I felt content with the place but I was not excited.
Evan Lamicella
THIS PLACE WAS SOOO GOOD!!! Best eggs benedict in Utah for sure and the pastries were a 10/10! If you're visiting from another state go here you wont be disappointed!
Cameron Shurtz
Excellent all around. Great location. Clean. Nice staff. The bakery items are great. They have a few things that you can’t find at a lot of French bakeries. The restaurant is great also. Great vibe and atmosphere. Definitely recommend to others.
Vanessa Chambers
Eva's Bakery is a delight. The pastries are amazing and my latte was perfect. The staff seemed a bit flustered as it got busier, but they still answered my questions and delivered my order perfectly. The house baguette tasted great and my Kouign Amann was perfect. Thank you!! Excellent boulangerie.
Alexi McAdams
Amazing! I came here for brunch and loved the egg‘s Benedict. I appreciated that it came with ham and spinach, along with some salad. The potatoes are sliced thin and are lemony - the ham is also thin. It‘s a little different than other egg bennys that I have had, but a treat nonetheless. I also got a chocolate croissant to go, which was perfect.
Celestial Stucki
Cute, cozy place. Food was delicous! Definitely recommend the stuffed french toast. Service was a little slow, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. Seating is a little crowded, so probably not great for large groups or children.
Tommy Wood
Omg...the BEST croissant breakfast sandwich EVER! Great staff & atmosphere. HIGHLY recommend!
Courtney Reisig
Our first time here and we want to go back already! This place is so delicious! I love that you get a salad with breakfast, get those veggies in. We were so impressed with the delicious croissant breakfast sandwich, potatoes, & side salad. And we also ordered a chocolate croissant to split and it was sooo tasty. The ONLY reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because my husband ordered a cappuccino and didn't get it until 40 minutes after we ordered and by then we had already finished our meal. The atmosphere was nice and very much like a french pastry shop. Loved the option for outdoor seating as well! Overall, great place to grab a bite.
Marshall Peterson
Probably the best croissant I’ve had outside Paris, flaky, buttery - it explodes into a shower of flakes when you bite into it. The cappuccino was not to my taste, a burnt taste, many people like that so don’t think you shouldn’t try their coffee. It’s a pleasant welcoming spot. I was greeted when entering, not common these days. Definitely worth visiting.
KristinandBret Wynder
Very delicious food! Wish there was a bigger variety of pastries, but the food we ordered off of their menu was really yummy! They know how to bake bread for sure!! So good!
Candimarie21
We came specifically for the kouign amann and it did not disappoint! The macaroons were also delicious! I love the entry way, so cute!
Liv Harris
Pretty cute place. The croissant sandwich was pretty good. The coffee is okay but pretty small for the price.
Dennis Wilding
Food is amazing! The staff are so friendly and efficient. So refreshing in today's world to feel so well taken care of.
Jakimvika Jakim
omg!!! food is sooooo good. that roasted beet-avocado that and tomato soup amd potato are crazy tasty. also butter croissant is just amazing. thank you guys
Ash Tilden
I was so excited to come across this place, and all my friends were just as happy with their experience here as I was. The food was fantastic and the coffee stupendous. I had a mocha and the garden benedict, but I was also able to try the avocado toast and quiche; all of it was great. We took pastries to go as well, and I spent WAY too much here just cause I wanted it all!
Kaitlin Cardenas
There was a bit of a wait but I can understand why, the food here is delicious! I got the Boulange Benedict and it was so tasty. Their potatoes are fantastic even on their own.
Athena L
Absolutely DELICIOUS macarons!!! Also you must try the macarons that look like cake pops. They are out of this world!!! Woman working the counter was super friendly, welcoming and helpful!!!
Alice Wang
Cute bakery shop right in downtown Salt Lake City with high quality food. A bit pricer than average but the quality and the ambiance justify for the experience. Young and friendly staff. Avocado toast is a must!
Jaime Suarez
Stopped by for some macarons and they were impeccable🤤 perfect texture and taste the lemon and lavender were delicious, cant wait to return and try out more items! …
Ivy Antunes
The food/pastries we got were absolutely delicious. They were very busy when we came and seemed to be training a new person at the register so they mixed up our order a couple times but were super nice when we came to them about it and fixed it right away. Cute decor as well. One of the best eclairs I've had in a while!
JP
This bakery is one of the best French style cafes in the northwestern US. Clean, delicious and the staff are very friendly.
Erin Olds
This was a tasty little brunch spot. Parking was hard, but the food was worth it. Docking one star because even though they said they were following covid protocols, the place was packed.
Kristen Denney
The food is so good, the coffee is great, but the vibes are way off with the staff. It’s a small restaurant with a somewhat confusing layout if you’re there for the first time and no one would look me in the eye when I was trying to ask about where to go. I’ve worked in the food industry and I know how hard it is. So I don’t need someone to be happy to see me, but it was weird that they wouldn’t even acknowledge my existence.
Carlos Cubas
Delicious, the place to go. A tranquil atmosphere, great customer service. The food was superb. Great coffee. We left with some cookies and bread loafs.
Tom
It is really hard to go wrong here. I personally got the chai latte, avocado toast, and a chocolates croissant, and all of them were STUNNING. The rest of the people in my party enjoyed their food as well. We arrived about an hour after they opened on a Saturday, and it wasn't too crowded. Hkwever, by the time we left there was quite a line!
All of the staff were super friendly and very attentative.
Ashley Johns
Great tomato bisque soup and grilled cheese. We also ordered a chocolate croissant. Well worth the wait, we will be back!
Sally Nam
We ordered online to skip a line up.
Tomato soup and French onion soup were so delicious. Croque (with egg n ham) and avocado toast were simple but tasty. Bread was so fresh! This place is highly recommended!
(Sorry. I forgot to take pictures of food.)
Victor Hernandez
Try the egg Benedict's! Great atmosphere and very attractive decoration. Service can be slow so don't go in a hurry. 6/2/21 update:. Food and pastries are still fantastic and service is still lacking but food was served faster. You now order and pay for your food online. We weren't even acknowledge by server or offered water until our fiid was brought to our table. this should be a 5 stars bakery but their service is a 3.
Joseph Hohler III
Ordering was easy, the staff was helpful and friendly.
The chocolate croissant was light and sweet, but I always wish they had more chocolate in them.
Hahn Tram
My wife and I had lunch at Eva's Bakery about 3 weeks ago and still talked about how good the coffee and sandwiches (the bread!) There was a long line waiting to get in but it moved pretty quickly. The place was jam packed, but somehow the ladies there provided very good and efficient service. The price was very reasonable. Oh did I mention how good the coffee and how fresh the bread and the mixed greens were...?
Michael Timm
Just got in from San Diego looking for a good breakfast and there it was right in the middle of downtown. Warm atmosphere, clean, very friendly service. Ordered coffee and the Cuban sandwich and all very delicious. Highly recommend this place and sure will be back next time I visit.
Simone S
Best pastries in SLC! I had the Amam and it was the first one I’ve had here in the US that wasn’t drenched in sugar. Perfectly balanced. And pastry itself was light flaky and crisp. I will be back for brunch for sure!
Jordi van Delft
Great pastries and great coffee, honestly one of the best places we've drank coffee in the last 14 days during our America trip. The staff was really nice and professional as well
Kristel Sterling
Had the eggs Benedict (which has a French name that I can't recall). It was delicious and the potatoes were seasoned SO well. The service was quick and friendly. Cute atmosphere and I would enjoy coming back here for more of their delicious looking menu.
Lea Chojnacky
This place was INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! It's by far the best eggs benedict I've ever had in my life and all the other food that went by us looked super authentic and scrumptious. Very European ambience and their pastries are to die for as well. The only downside was the service. We were only checked on twice and we never got the 2 mimosas we ordered. We also put in an order for pastries to go way ahead of time and ordered 2 ham and cheese croissants but they kept forgetting to box them for us and by the time they finally did box them they only had one croissant left. But other than that, it was lovely and we'll definitely be back.
Nishonii Holiday
Amazing customer service! Kade and Alyssa were so amazing to me and my friend. Welcoming, polite and thee best! Will come back again. :))
Kevin Schanz
Delicious everything. We got the stuffed French toast, croissant sandwich and a pastry. 10/10 quality and awesome atmosphere. Will be here everytime I come to SLC
Benjamin Stupka
Elli recommended us several incredible pastries. It was the best pastry experience of our lives!!! So flaky, chewy, just the right amount of sweet and buttery, absolutely recommend to all.
Timothy Gerber
Blueberry Berry French Toast is the most. A great place to host, a brunch with ur friends, you'll wish it never ends BBFT really sends.
Angela Neal
This is the best place we ate during our stay in Salt Lake! I really enjoyed my goat cheese cheese cake and I was able to eat it first. I took a pumpkin purée latte to go for post lunch dessert.
CAJG E
Fruit bowl was delicious. Eggs Benedict was phenomenal, perfectly runny. Nice selection of herbal teas.
Erin Wilhite (Realtor)
Do not miss this SLC treasure!
So you're beginning to see that the breakfast experience is crucial to my travel experience. Finding Eva's Bakery had made this a special morning for me before my #Kiwanis convention in Salt Lake City.
The eggs on the Boulange Benedict were perfectly prepared: solid, bouncy whites with runny yolk. The Boulange Potatoes were uniquely delicious, with a faint, light herbal flavor.
The service was outstanding, which is rare in the #age ofCOVID. I chose to order from the placard on the table, but personal ordering was still am option. In so doing, I accidentally ordered two breakfasts, which they politely and promptly refunded.
Go! And peace to you and yours.
Rob3rt D3an
Good service and food, the server who helped us was very friendly we got our Gelato fairly quickly and were on our way. Cute store as well.
Sammi Eastin
The pastries are to die for -- you simply must try them! And the staff are amazing people. What a great little gem in SLC.
Terence Chang
This place has a great tasty pastry selection. It's really crowded in the morning. So you'd better come early.
Damon Tighe
Cute little bakery. There is a small sit down / table service area. Entrees are good; fresh and flavorful. Service was slow but I think it’s because they can get overwhelmed when large conferences are taking place at the Salt Palace.
Chris Kastner
Same people that have Eva down the street. Super easy downtown location. Same great experience but in the morning. Really great way to start my day. Awesome breads and pastry. Had the very ubiquitous these days, avocado toast. Fresh and delicious. Solid Cappuccino and great friendly people. The people were lining up out the door but they move them quickly. Ill be back for sure.
BoiseCrawfords
Great service, both walk up and dine in. Breads and pastries are amazing! We took a couple loaves home they are so fresh!
Bayden Rigby
Great food and fast service! Just visiting Salt Lake for the day and wanted to try something unique. Definitely not disappointed!
Brigitte Erwin
We've been meaning to go here forever with my daughter (named Eva) - I'm so glad we finally did! It is SO CUTE inside - feels really French. The sit-down menu had so many good choices, it was hard to choose. Definitely opt to stay for lunch. We had the Benedict and the brunch flat bread, they were both delicious. Also really recommend the Parisian Fog latte.
DO NOT SKIP the kouign amann on your way out!!! It's like a crispy, sugary croissant and it will change your life.
Beth Platek
Amazing French bakery in the heart of downtown SLC. We ordered sandwiches, pastries, and a couple baguettes for good measure. Everything was excellent. The croissants were flaky, sandwiches were loaded, the soup was rich, and the baguettes had the perfect balance of give and crunch. Definitely worth a stop or two!
Matthew Wenger
Great little find! Fantastic pastries. Espresso was a little underwhelming, but we didn't go in for the coffee.
Luke Palmer
First time here Friday.
Beet Avocado Toast with Boulange Potatoes was delicious and delightful.
I am not a fan however, of using the phone to view menu, order, and pay. It's not that I am "old-school", just not a fan of taking away even more opportunities to connect with people.
Emily Waldbillig
Every single item I ordered was the most delicious version of that thing I’ve ever eaten. They have perfected elevating food without ruining it by changing it so drastically. High quality ingredients are put together with skill and the result is pretty much perfection. The chocolate chip cookie was divine, and I’ll be back for the BLT!
Miguel Conrado
Really enjoyed the food, drinks, area, and service.
Hannah Freeman
Food is good! I think the service could be alittle better but they were still very friendly. I had a great time!
Stasha Ashton
Friendly, fast service and delicious! Croissant sandwich 10/10 French toast 10/10 Cinnamon roll 11/10
Erin Maree
The quiche was INCREDIBLE. This is a cute little French style spot. Highly recommend it however the baguettes were nothing to scream about. Just good but not fantastic.
Ron Rogers
We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday Brunch here in a quaint setting. The French Onion Soup was very tasty as were the breakfast sandwiches. The person at the neighboring table said the Quiche was delicious as well. Service was very good as well.
RACHEL Wesler
I ordered the vegan plate and it was amazing!!! The bread was soft and crisp at the same time. The lightly drizzled dressing for the salad was the best I’ve ever had! The motif is classic antiqued farmhouse meets hipster and it works! Staff were lovely and very attentive but not pushy at all. Other customers were kind and respectful. All around a great experience. I’d return to SLC just to go to Eva’s again.
ABDULALAZIZ ABUALHAMAYEL
Great service, delicious. Blueberry danish and almond croissant 🥐 …
Dana Lee
Quite expensive, but worth the money. I got a breakfast croissant sandwich, and a chocolate croissant. This place is very cute and has a really cool French atmosphere. Ethan was our server, and he was lovely! Food was delicious, and came out really fast. I LOVED the chocolate croissant, and that's saying something, because I don't have much of a sweet tooth.
Kate van Asselt
Holy moly is this awesome! I highly recommend the Eggs Benedict. Homemade hollandaise, smoky ham and crunchy bread. So good. Unexpected.
Chill vibe.
Good spacing. Go on weekday.
Arnaldo Torres
Too bad I found this spot on my last day at SLC food, coffee, pastries EVERYTHING about this place is 💯 the staff! Can't wait to come back. …
Helen Catanese
The croissants are great, but the espresso is mediocre and their lids leak. I wouldnt order a coffee
Frank
Charming French style bakery and restaurant with light fair. The croissant and coffee I got were good. Only takeaway and outdoor seating due to COVID.
Less Hoover
Very yummy place! We will be back !
Steven Price
Enjoyed the bakery; tasty croissant sandwich, pleasant atmosphere in a quaint building. Definitely seemed to be a local favorite!
Ellen Morris
This is such a cute little bakery and Café. I was able to try the brunch flatbread, which had a really delicious ham,Gruyère cheese, arugula, and some other fresh ingredients that were delicious. the flat bread itself was baked very well and while I wasn’t able to try any of their other bread pastries or bread-based dishes I could tell that they would all be delicious.
I i’m eager to go back and try more menu items and more of their pastries because it all looks so delicious.
The service was also excellent, they were so helpful and got me my food in a reasonable amount of time. Such a charming ambiance as well!
henry chan
The pastries we bought were amazing. They were light, crispy, and savory.
ia par
Very good pastries and a regular coffee. The environment and service are excellent..
Jonathan LeFeber
Excellent food and freshness. Quick service, even when the place was almost full, and accommodating staff. Only down sides were a misunderstanding on my order and my coffee was not hot, but did not ruin the experience.
Tanner Bennett
Best. Bakery. Ever. I highly recommend the ginger snap cayann pepper cookie. I could live off of it. Also, a warm and modern atmosphere with a kind and professional staff that's very welcoming and respectful. 5 stars no brainer. The item pictured is a flat bread from the lunch menu. Pretty dang good.
Cesareo Razo
This little place is amazing, has great friendly staff and plenty of space. The food is so good and fresh, the bakery goods are awesome and the coffee choices.
Tzung-Shiang Ou
Best French toast in Salt Lake City.
Lisa Horn
The chai was perfect. The staff was so friendly. We had the Quiche and it was excellent and a generous portion. Classy decor. Don't miss this place in SLC.
Nicholas Stone
Our waiter was named "Daddy," which was interesting. But he did serve a mean croissant!
Kerron Montgomery
In true European fashion, this bakery is done correctly! With the best pastries and baguettes in SLC area, the only time to be disappointed is when they've run out of the top items. Delicious breakfast 😍 and takeaway croissants, it's a favorite! …
Wayne Wallace
Cute place, excellent coffee and tea. We had the best lemon tart.
Oxanna Quinois
Just one word: perfect.
My friend and I have been living in California for a few months for me and a few years for him, and we are French. It is quite difficult to find bakeries that are as good as our beautiful French culinary culture. We had lunch one Sunday in this beautiful little bakery downtown, and we don't regret anything. We tasted a lot of things, because we were too happy to find a bakery with so many good reviews. We tasted: quiche Lorraine, macaroons, ham and butter sandwich, croissant, orange juice. Everything was PERFECT! The kindness of the employees, the cleanliness, the decoration and especially the food. Thank you for this little moment out of time that brought us back home to France for a brunch.
Julia Wilkins Britland
I can't possibly give this place enough stars. The atmosphere was charming, the employees were lovely, the pastries were fresh and perfectly laminated (pain au chocolat and kouign amann were just to die for). Will be coming back next time I am in SLC!
Edwin Solorzano
Great French food, bread and pastries! Waiting times are 45+ specially on the weekend so plan accordingly.
Mhair Sarkissian
Amazing coffee, excellent pastries and super nice staff. Must go if you’re visiting SLC
gravicmal
The waitress was amazing. Good food. Good atmosphere and economic. I got the eggs Benedict
Tyler Harris
Above a 4 for me and a great stop! If you're looking for well above average bakery you're going to be happy!
Others in SLC I've walked away more impressed but absolutely nothing to avoid here.
We only did bakery items and took them to eat at home.
Not a 5 but somewhere I'll be going back to for sure. I'd love to try their full menu and sit and enjoy.
The croissants for the ham croissant and the almond croissant were both over done. Burnt around the edges.
The blueberry croissant was perfect and unbelievable. A 5 for it!
The pecan cinnamon roll was also a 5.
All in all
Jonathan Wilson
Croisant sandwich was amazing. Very cool atmosphere. Construction made it hard to get here, but it was worth it! Wife had grilled cheese with tomato bisque amd loved it.
Juanita Osenda
You have to try the kouign amann! The almond croissant was really good as well. On top of the delicious pastries, I was welcomed with good service from a kind employee. Would definitely stop by here again!
Maxx Marian
This place is really good, and their bread and pastries are amazing too, plus they have good coffee. My only small complaint was that it wasn’t 100% clear that there is full table service inside, so I mistakenly ordered takeout at the counter. However, I ended up eating outside and the food was amazing!
Arissa Barton
AMAZING!! One of my favorite places in Salt Lake. Their customer service is out of this world amazing. Stopped by one day to check it out and ordered a coconut macaroon. Probably the best thing I have ever tasted. It took one bite and I was hooked on this place forever. Tried multiple other things from here and everything is so fresh and tasty. Highly recommend!
Thomas Nguyen
Adorable brunch spot. Would 100% recommend for your hangover cure or get together with friends and family. It's a nicer spot, but atmosphere is still mellow!
Matt Williams
Really fun place to eat. The eggs Benedict were fantastic. Get them without ham and only avocado for a twist. The breakfast sandwich was very good too. We didn't try the pastries because we were so full after our breakfast! Limited outdoor seating was the only drawback.
Bob Smith
Parking is a beast but well worth it! Eggs Benedict was spot on. Stuff French toast was rich and delicious. Scallop potatoes was good ( too much rosemary for my taste). Latte was perfect but the big surprise was the kouign-amann. You must get a kouign-amann from here! The best I’ve had in awhile. Nice job. My wife and I will be back soon.
Emili Whitney
Delicious! Great options for breakfast, busy but worth it, great place to talk and hang out.
dave simpson
We had the cream filled French Toast which was scrumptious... Plus a great cup of fresh drip coffee... Oh Boy!!!
My friend had the ham and cheese on toast and a side salad with hollandaise sauce which he said was the best he ever had... This comment was especially surprising since he dines in some of the finest food restaurants in the world...
To top off the food choices we ordered four eclairs which are my favorite desserts on the planet and Eva's did not miss the high expectations....
The wait staff were pleasant and efficient..What more could you ask for?????
Jake
Great coffee, great bread, good food, and some good pastries! Some mediocre pastries as well… it can’t all be great.
Unfortunately the service is consistently poor but that’s on management and their choice in layout. Additionally, they’re closed on Monday and Tuesday. Weird move in my book, and it’s done me dirty more than once.
Jade Wright
Finger licking good, literally!
🥐: ordered an almond crossiant that was flakey and delicious. Our favorite were the sticky bun and cinnamon roll. The cinnamon role was so good we were fighting over it! …
K Mitchell
Fabulous bakery with wonderful meals. We stopped in for breakfast & pastries. Old world artisan breads & pastries of extremely high quality. Absolutely worth a visit.
Jameel Qazi
Had the eggs Benedict. Very good. Very polite servers.
Camille Biexei
Disappointing. A cute place, and seemed promising. The coffee was excellent. The chocolate almond croissant was easily the worst I have had. I appeared to have been squashed, and was overly sweet with little flavor. The interior was a soggy mush. I kept eating, hoping. Threw away half of it.
Tobias Waldenmeier
The best onion soup i had! It is really really good and a cute spot!
Ashley Cummins
I would like to eat here all the time. Matter of fact I'd like to move in and never have to leave.
Jorden V
Camden was killing it today! Super busy and she had a smile on ensuring everyone received great service. Canele and blueberry pastry were perfect. Thanks for a great first impression, I'll be back!
Andre Garber
Try the coissant sandwich. It's hearty and flaky. Get here early in the day for a decent selection of baked goods. The service for dining in was fine, but not particularly friendly.
Jian Cong Loh
Kouign-amann and mocha were delicious, if a bit pricey. Nice vibes.
Cameron McMillan
The breakfast here was excellent. I tried the kouign amann, croissant breakfast sandwich, blueberry danish, and latte. The only dud was the latte b/c it was a bit bitter, but all of the pastry was excellent. I wish I had gotten the greens with the croissant sandwich just because the sandwich alone was very filling. I look forward to coming back next time I’m in Salt Lake.
Elise Braff
Legit one of the day best spots to eat at in Salt Lake City. Every time I go I try to get something different and I’m never disappointed. The food is amazing! Their pastries are made in house, the staff is awesome, and the place is always very clean. Would highly recommend!
Leanna Dawn
The best bakery I have ever been to. You may order to to and seat yourself outside or dine in. When we arrived we didn't have any wait time, although shortly thereafter we noticed the line to order to go suddenly grew. The pastries and coffee were phenomenal.
Vinay Kini
I had the margherita flatbread and quiche. I felt the flatbread was too heavy with cheese and as such was unwieldy to hold. The tomatoes too seemed to lack any flavor. The quiche had a bit too much butter to my liking.
Marisol Gil
Great food and service
Kevin Kopsa
Love this spot. All the baked goods taste good. We got eclair's, macaroons, and other stuff. Also they food they serve like eggs benedict and sandwiches are really good. Will definitely continue to go here.
Rick Swade
We visited salt lake with the family and found this gem for breakfast. Their croissant sandwich and stuffed french toast were off the charts. The pastries are amazing and the coffee was perfect. Highly recommend.
Ruben Banos
Good service and food.
Those benedict eggs are So delicious!!!!
Justin Lui
Holy moly. Yeah, this place is a 5-star.
a) Chocolate croissant? Flakey with a crunch. Chocolate was kind of weak but meh, still good. 40 out of 50.
b) Almond croissant? 50 out of 50. Not overly sweet -- which I prefer. Westerners love their diabetes. Me? I am half-sweet kind of guy.
c) Quiche? I have never been a quiche person so 36 out of 50. (Note: 25 out of 50 is average). My buddy gave it a 45 out of 50 since he loves him some eggs.
d) Cold brew? With sugar and milk, dope. Liked it. Not amazing but for $2.50 I'd gladly drink it again.
Overall: It's downtown. I'm lazy. But the drive is worth it. Five star.
Kathryn Matheson
Very cute bakery! I loved their cinnamon rolls, their table decorations, and their servers are nice! If you’re looking for a place to chill and enjoy great food downtown, go here! Will not disappoint
Nathan Mueller
Overall very good. Went for lunch early afternoon and had some good sandwiches but beware, they run out of a lot of things toward the end of the day so go early if you want the good stuff...no plain croissants left....Tried the dutch crunch bread but it was just white bread and not crunchy at all. If you like good bread stick to the baguette, sourdough, etc. You can order with your phone from your table and though I get the covid risk thing, when you combine app ordering w bussing my own table, I miss the personal touch you used to get at cafes like this. Nevertheless, I recommed it and will definitely return.
Kaci Uipi
Tried the fruit tarts, the chocolate midnight cake, all macaroons flavors, and chocolate chip cookies. I just wasn’t that impressed at all. Perhaps the breads and croissants are phenomenal, but definitely didn’t feel that (or taste that) with the pastry items I ordered. I’m not a bad bad baker. I’m in no way a professional pastry chef, but I know how to do basic things like make pastry cream, cake, buttercream, etc. So when I feel like I paid $$$ for something that seems like I could make better, it doesn’t make me too pleased with my purchase. The chocolate midnight cake was nothing special. It needed a filling or something. The fruit tarts had nice fresh fruit on top (not like the ones at Smith’s or even Harkins sometimes that have wilting fruit...), but the pastry cream was SO thin. I worried about this when I bought it, it just looked like there wasn’t enough pastry cream, not thick enough, and not flavorful enough, either. The macaroons were okay, nothing special, no special fillings. The chocolate chip cookies weren’t bad for $1.75. Thin, not like the popular Chip or Crumbl ones right now. I don’t mind thin, but again, nothing too special. I still need to try the restaurant items, maybe they’ll blow my mind, who knows.
Mustafa Kadhim
Good bakeries and nice people. Good place for a breakfast
Basar Alp Bay
They closed early not cool
Edited 11.08.22 ; well I reached Gabriella she was super hospitable and polite the products also very nice you should try it.
Fishin' In Scrubs
Seemes understaffed... Service was slow... But cappuccino and baked goods were tasty...
Michael Erin Strong
Fun, fresh, and quirky. Our creative team loves coming here to admire the hand drawn chalk art and artisanal pastries and stylings.
naomi white
This is one of my favorite places to eat in SLC! The atmosphere is so cute, and has lots of picture-perfect spots that evoke the feeling of France. Their service is great, and somehow they always manage to get you a table relatively quickly, even though it always seems like everyone else had the same idea as you for lunch! The food at Eva's is absolutely incredible, and for a breakfast food lover like me, the stuffed French toast is a must-have. I've always enjoyed whatever I've ordered when I'm there, and once you're finished with your meal, if you don't get a dessert, you're crazy. My experiences here have always been positive ones!
Will
Excellent service and environment! Food yummy!
Traveling Journalist
All-utah-time favorite cafe. I like the vibes, ok price and the pastry. Both espresso taste and service depend on days. Could be good could be meh.
Michael Hunter
Great food very friendly staff. The blueberry danish is absolutely terrific.
Y N
Love love love the fruit tart. If you have a sweet tooth it's the place for you. They also have a brunch menu, I was not a fan of the avocado toast, but their pastries are wonderful!
Shikha Bhan
Had the grilled cheese w tomato soup and it was incredible! Also tried some of their baked goods and was very pleased. Eva knows her way around the kitchen. Delicioso!
Tzietel Geraldine Perero
Nice clean place great food, great service. DAVE our server is the best! Give him a raise! Lol!
Merlin Olsen
Best Kouign Amann I have ever had. The quiche is also text book perfect
Aimee Gerold
The kouign amann was divine! Perfectly warm and flaky pastry.
Neil Howell
Wow....excellent food, very good service.
Very busy, but they seemed to handle it well.
David McCarty
Adorable little bakery with lots of delicious options, but like most bakeries, you're going to want to get here earlier rather than later because they will run out of stuff as the day goes on. My favorite was the coconut macaroon. The brownie was also very good. The coconut cake was pretty good, but I didn't like the frosting. The best part, though is the atmosphere which is very cozy, warm and inviting. Very hygge.
Alex Maxwell
This bakery is so good. The best pastries, danishes, croissants, and breads.
Marea Janae
Very lovely aesthetic. I ordered a vegetarian eggs benedict and it was good - nothing exceptional but no complaints there. However I hated how impersonal the whole experience was. They show your your table and then tell you to order and pay from your phone. There was so little human interaction the entire time. Why do they pay to have servers and then make you do all the work that a server should do from your phone? Also, I found it odd that I was served my tea in a to-go cup with plastic lid when I was dining in. This is wasteful and just makes the experience less inviting. I wouldn't come back unless it was for a pastry or drink to go.

Pain au chocolat had an outer shell that was crusty while the inside didn't have much of a flaky texture. Am used to a creamy/gooey ganache when it comes to the filling in a pain au chocolat, but this bakery used solid chocolate so ymmv. The kouign amann had some crunch to it, but lack a buttery/savory flavor. Taste was reminiscent of a palmier. Coffee was average.
Cody Smith
Amazing little French bakery. Their pastries are great, and the lunch is delicious. My favorite is their stuffed French toast that has lemon creme cheese filling and blueberry compote.
Brandy Heatherly
I've visited this bakery a few times just for a quick croissant and coffee. Today was the first time my husband and I sat down and had breakfast. The food was delicious, but my favorite part was sipping their delicious coffee. My husband also enjoyed his mocha. A nice place to relax before our long flight.
James Neider
Wow! So great. Food quality and service were excellent. Easy menu access and ordering app. Cinnamon rolls, danishes, macarons, bread, avocado toast... all very good! I will definitely be back soon.
Wuyou Zhou
SOOOOOOOOOO GOOD.
Brett Sorensen
Went for brunch. The benedict was incredible and the bakery pastries amazing. Service couldn't have been better either. This may be my new favorite brunch spot!
Dede BULL
The quiche The quiche!!! It
was to die for!! The potatoes where light and perfect. Lemon Tart best I ever had it beat Moms by a land slide.
Amber Cook
Such a sweet little place! The coffee and eclairs were excellent. I loved the classy feel, very shabby chic!
Jeremy Kirk
Served at the counter during a busy Sunday. Quick and easy to grab a cold brew and crossaint. Will def be back!!
Dale Green
We went for my daughter's birthday. The servers were friendly, and attentive. The bread was really tasty, and the food was good. It's meant to be "small plate" so don't expect large portions, but the food is well made and delicious. My wife had the French onion soup, which she really liked. My pastrami sandwich tasted great. Would definitely recommend Eva's.
chad foley
Great coffee and croissants. Nice atmosphere.
Joseph Simonson
The food was delicious! It was pretty packed when we were there (around 9am), but it was worth it. You can order pastries to go from the display case or get a table and order full meals. I had the French Frittata meal and it was awesome, especially the potatoes that come with it.
Monica Seoane
Great little bakery! Always full of friendly, welcoming staff and delicious, mouth watering treats. Their baristas make fantastic lates...cappuccinos...you name it. It's a great place to meet with friends or study, and they also have fast and efficient carry out options. If you stop in, make sure you grab an almond croissant.😏🥐 …

I just ordered via Doordash and it was one of the best Doordash experiences I've had. Not only was the food correct, but it was DELICIOUS and packaged in a way that made it travel well. Not mushy by the time it got to me. Avocado toast was perfectly soft and mild. Eggs benedict were perfect in every way.
Mars Jacobsen
What a splendid place! The atmosphere, the food, and the service are spectacular. A great place to get a tasty bite and some great Ibis coffee. Great vegan or vegetarian options, and the meats and eggs are top tier as well. I love the brunch quiche with ham and potatoes. Weekend brunches are busy, but it's a short wait for such good quality. If you're flexible, you might be able to ask for the counter, even, and skip the wait.
Skyler Smith
Braden is the man. Food was delicious. Just what was needed after a night on the city. They served us breakfast at 2pm. Incredible choice in music.
Annabel Phillips
The places is so warm, cozy, and chic. They have vegan, dairy free, and gluten free options! Also, a lot of dishes, like the avocado toast, can be made vegan, and the waiters are very knowledgeable about what's in the food. A wonderful bakery with a delicious brunch menu. A bit small and cramped but I think that just adds to its charm. I definitely reccomend!
Vinh Lu (Vinhgetsin)
Came here for a late lunch around 2. It was the perfect time since there wasn't a lot of customers. It was my first time and the server gave some good suggestions. Went with the Chicken sandwich and that was done pretty well, the server wasn't the most engaging but she definitely kept our drinks filled and got us anything we wanted. Such a cute and calming environment, perfect for brunch and then a walk around town.
Taryn Schumacher
Beautiful French inspired bakery! It was a great place to grab delicious lattes & cappuccinos and a small bite to eat. We didn't get a full meal, just some tasty bakery items, but if you sit down you can order from a bigger menu which all looked great. Would definitely recommend the chocolate croissants!
Diederic Meintsma
Very nice atmosphere. The sidewalk dining was shaded in the morning. Very good meal.
Alycia Smith
I have never had a bad experience at Eva's. The pastries are to die for, and everything on the menu for the cafe portion is fantastic. The stuffed French toast is absolutely amazing. When you look at the prices, you may think it's overpriced, but when you see the plates and taste the food you'll see that what you're getting is definitely worth what you're paying. The staff is always friendly, and although there may be a line to be seated, I can guarantee you it's worth the wait.
Erin Curtis
My husband and I love coming to Eva's for brunch dates. The food is delicious and they have the best pastries around. Their loose leaf tea is also delicious, especially the hibiscus!
Taylor Stringam
This is a wonderful Salt Lake gem. Brunch is delicious (and reasonably priced as well). I had the French dip sandwich and it was delicious. You can also just order coffee and a pastry up front if you aren’t a fan of waiting for brunch. Either way, the food is delicious and the coffee is fabulous. The service here is also fast a friendly. This place is definitely worth a visit.
Cristina Pomales
Amazing chocolate croissant and lovely environment. Get there early before the long lines.

First, I'll start with the good...this place always has amazing baked goods. Any time I'm downtown, I like to stop in for a little treat to-go. When I'm down with my son, he always asks to pop in with me for a hot chocolate and one of their incredible pastries. Seriously, I could eat my weight in their morning buns.
The bad,
their service has always been terrible. I've been popping sporadically for the last couple years, it's the same treatment. The staff is almost always talking to each other while I patiently wait with a smile. I've even had a few openly flirting with each other right in front of me. After a few minutes, they wrap up their chatting AND THEN take my order. Then there's the attitude I receive...how dare I come in to their place of business and want to purchase a pastry from them? I rarely ever get a pleasant staff member who treats me like my purchase matters.
I know it's not just me. I just today had a work colleague from out of town order pastries from Eva's for a morning meeting for our office. He said "while the pastries were amazing, the gal helping him was all but happy to help him". I was embarrassed because I feel like Salt Lake City is a friendly place to visit. Had I known better, I would have told him to go elsewhere.
Hannah Anthony
Delicious! Amazing and welcoming staff! Very pleasant aesthetic!
Mikey Z
The baked goods are incredible. We stopped in for breakfast and I had a great croissant breakfast sandwich.
Haley Mackenzie
Cute atmosphere (felt like a hole in the wall in Paris), decent food, very thoughtful customer service. Ordered the French frittata which was filling but not my favorite. Not crazy about the breakfast potatoes either; thin and inconsistent texture with little flavor. Husband ordered the stuffed French toast which he enjoyed but wasn't crazy about the pile of soggy blueberries on top. Our food was delayed or forgotten and took forever to come out so the waitress comped our drinks to make up for it which was wonderful, and the mocha was excellent! Was hoping for more gluten free options. Glad we went but probably would go back again.
Michael Chang
Came here on Memorial Day. I was a bit worried about the wait since I could already see a long line through the front door window, but the staff was fast and we were seated within 10 minutes of arrival. The place is extremely small so I do not recommend dining in with a large party. Our table was literally inches apart from other guests...so close in fact that we had to move the table to the left or right just to let people squeeze through. That was a bit disappointing as it doesn't make dining a comfortable experience. My wife ordered the avocado toast with beets and I opted for the french toast. The avocado toast and beets were pretty good. Wish I could say the same for my french toast. It was completely drowned in a blueberry sauce and made the entire meal soggy. All in all, this place was just average and not worth the hype by other reviewers.
William Anderson
I haven’t had the food here really but the bakery items are hands down the best I’ve had downtown. I love their brownies — they definitely have that “homemade” taste to them, their cinnamon rolls are to die for, and they have a great selection of macaroons. If you are having cravings for something sweet, I high recommend checking Eva’s out.
Sydni Bartschi
This bakery makes me feel like I'm in Paris! The food is always fresh, whether you're dining in or just dropping by for a croissant. The staff is very friendly and they know the menu by heart, so asking for a recommendation is easy!
Brett Bernath
Eva's has amazing cappuccinos and Starbucks type drinks. Even better the French bread and pastries. Highly recommended for Marriott overnighters. 😋😋😋😋 …
Josh Masin
The food at Eva's Bakery is delicious! The coffee is good! The place is warm and has an at-home feel to it! However, they use buzz words like "cage-free" and "natural" on their menu, as a subtle way of justifying the higher prices they charge for the smaller portions you get. Otherwise, not too bad.
Corey Durham
Great little breakfast spot. Went their twice on a recent vacation. Can’t go wrong with much on the menu!
Lvmslf Sah
We had a amazing breakfast. We loved everything we ordered. Amazing blueberry danish and rosemary potatoes...the rest was yummi as well!
Bruce Ellsworth
The best breakfast place in downtown SLC! Friendly staff and the food is always delicious!!
Lacey S
I have two words for you: Dutch Crunch.
That's all you need to know about Evas, really. They are the only place in Utah that I have found this most delicious of breads. If you have never had Dutch Crunch, it is just a basic white bread, but topped with this crispy layer of savory slightly-sweetness that makes any sandwich feel special. I made a visit to Caputos after sourcing this magical loaf, and picked up sliced ham (Red Table will blow your mind) and the most expensive butter they had, then went home and made myself a fantastic ham and butter sandwich. You should do the same!
If you are not feeling the Dutch Crunch, they have plenty more baked goods, both savory and sweet. 6 or 7 varieties of bread, cookies, pastries, macarons....you know I couldn't leave without some treats! Their eclair was excellent: just the right amount of sweet, with a rich and creamy vanilla bean infused filling, and complimentary dark chocolate icing. The kouign amann was good, especially the crunchy caramelized sugar bits, but I found myself longing for a little filling: perhaps some custard or almond cream. Maybe it just felt a little plain compared to the other sweets. The cinnamon roll, though, was a real winner! It looked like it might be hard, but was nice and soft (especially after reheated a few minutes in the oven). The bread they use is flaky, and so much better than normal cinnamon roll bread. I wish the frosting was a little more moist (it was the slightly hard icing style), but it was great on the areas where it had sunk into the roll.
They also have actual meals on offer. Café-style options like salads, soup, and loads of delish sounding breakfast goodies. Of course, various coffees, teas, hot chocolate, etc, but they had some fancy bottled drinks and even a couple pantry goods like olive oil, balsamic vinegar, mustard, and honey. The space is charming and certainly has a fun French flair. I did not get a good look at their seating, but they are taking COVID precautions seriously, allowing only three customers to wait in the lobby, so I would feel safe dining in. Parking is atrocious and you are just going to have to pay for it unless you visit on a weekend (in which case, good luck finding parking period). Eva's is lovely, though, and worth going out of your way for.
Ben-nifer Neff
I love Eva's Bakery!
My wife and I arrived at 11am into Salt Lake City for the start of an 8 hour layover. We took the light rail into downtown planning to bike share around town. However it was raining, so we looked for somewhere to grab some lunch and stay dry for a bit.
Wandering down Main Street, we popped in and out of a couple places before we stumbled into Eva's Bakery. Instantly we knew we were in the right place; it was warm, inviting, and all of the staff was so welcoming!
We split a Tuna Melt, and let me say there was a lot going on in this sandwich, all of it good. The tuna mix was light on mayo and long on flavor, containing some marinated onions and peppers. Katy, our wonderful server, explained that the mix is made fresh each day and can change depending on what they have on hand.
Our lattes were so smooth, possibly my favorite latte so far in my 39 years. We decided to select from the pastries to wrap up our meal and to take with us for the afternoon. The staff couldn't wait to help us - discussing their favorites, and what went into the making of each piece. Thank you again to Katy and all the wonderful staff there at Eva's!
We loved the little bakery and wish we could come back sooner than later. Unfortunately we are a 6-hour plane ride away.

I had the Benedict and it was wonderful. Everything was wonderful from the service to the quality of food. I even think they hand sqeezed my orange juice. Theres also a cute bakery and the atmosphere is exceptional.
Joshua Parsons
The stuffed French toast was very good. Prices were average for a downtown spot. Service was excellent. I'd recommend stopping by for a coffee or treat. The salads looked good, but I did not try one.
George Vargo
Hands down great everything. Boulange Benedict, croissant breakfast sandwich, almond croissant, mocha, drip coffee were all exceptionally delicious and fresh. A gem.
Tim Maier
Great breakfast spot with quick service.
Jackie H
Wonderful sandwich (I had the chicken pesto), and desserts! Was in town for a conference and decided to try this place out. Was absolutely worth the trip. We went around 1, and the dessert selection had gotten pretty low, so if you're wanting something sweet, I recommend getting there sooner rather than later in the day.
Danyon Greymoon
I went to college next door to this place. I think I went here for lunch more than any other location purely for its convenience. Either I could order a Croquet Monsieur, and haven't heated up, or I could get a tri-tip sandwich and eat it cold. If I wanted to be healthy I could grab a salad and a piece of fruit, or if I was tired I would just get some of their coffee which is very strong and better than three pines down the street. I've also bought some of their bread to share with my friends back at Neumont, which is always been a good cheap snack. I've dinned in a couple of times, and I really love their burger, which has a tomato jelly on it. My favorite side is there roasted potatoes which are usually sliced thin. this place isn't very good for large groups, I would recommend it more for one on one dining or maximum of four guests, and do be aware that it gets very busy here. However overall I have no complaints! Keep up the good work
V Escobar
Food tasted fresh. Bread was amazing. The wait time for a Saturday was over an hour which seemed pretty high but there isn’t a lot of seating as it’s a small location. The waitress forgot part of our order, maybe next time we will just order out since the wait and service was the only thing we did not like.
Abigail Brooks
As a pastry lover, I was very pleased with this place. Super friendly staff and very willing to be flexible with people who didn't really know how things work at Eva's:) we had the chocolate croissant, upside down corn cake, raspberry macaron, blueberry danish, and cinnamon roll. We developed a sugar buzz so ordered a frittata on top of it and were not disappointed!
Diana Robins
lovely local restaurant. went for breakfast, and really enjoyed the roasted beet and avocado on toast - creative and delicious! friendly staff too.
Tori Ignagni
The food here is so wonderful, I love the macarons and croissants the most. The employees are also all very nice!
Rosemary Alatorre
Cinnamon rolls was SO good! Service was ok. Waitress forgot about us 🤷♀️ and bakery staff seemed annoyed with customers. …
Ludwig Stephani
I went for a latte and some treats before work. Even though it was fairly busy, the staff was very good with keeping everything together. Good coffee, but I feel it is best to sit down and enjoy it rather than getting it to go. Good croissants, both plain and chocolate. The macarons are a bit too much for me, but it's nice that they even offer them in the first place.
Amber Grigas
Latte was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Croissant Sandwich was absolutely delicious. Very Covid friendly being able to order and pay from your phone. Would highly recommend!!
J Simmons
We initally went on a rainy Saturday but the place was full and people were not leaving. so we tried another day. Able to be seated right away, with immediate attention and a fairly short wait for our brunch, we like the place. The brunch was hot and tastee with very good portions, with fair coffee. The waitress was friendly and cheerful. The ambiance was decent and good for something different.
Shelly Cox
I ate at Evs's for the first time and I have to say it was a treat. The coffee is excellent and so was the food. I felt like I was back in Italy on vacation eating here. The staff was very friendly and just a pleasant experience.
Renea Christiansen
The best Quiche Loraine I have ever had. Sticky buns are a must have. I wish they were open every day.
Jennifer Bertagnole
Yummy pastries and coffees. The shortbread cookies were divine. The service was helpful and friendly. Close to theaters and convention areas downtown.
Jenna Carter
This is a great place to sit and have an intimate chat with someone over brunch. They have stuffed French toast which has never disappointed and their sandwiches are good too. I always grab a macaron on my way out because, honestly, I’m obsessed with them. The atmosphere is fun and the people are too.
Trish
Yum! This place has wonderful French pastries and lovely bread - chewy and flavorful.
The servers is slow and taciturn - a taste of France here in Utah! ;) But the food is worth it.
If you are very clever, you will call in and request whatever you want. They will put it aside for you - even if someone is waiting in line to buy it. And if that is, say, the very last almond croissant... The person in line loses out. Like me. So if you are standing in line and there is only "one" of something, just call the store and while you wait for everyone else to order, your luscious treat will be waiting for you.
Thomas Larkin
Great lunch and coffee! Would recommend for a light bite.
Anita Sharp
Eva's Bakery is a charming French-style Boulangerie in Downtown Salt Lake City. They offer a small bistro style menu for dining in, and there is a large variety of freshly made French pastries to enjoy there or to go.
There's a limited amount of seating indoors-ask to be put on the waiting list for a table, or you can sit out on the sidewalk and dine alfresco!
The food was cooked perfectly-our Quiche Lorraine was amazing, and the eggs Benedict was outstanding!
Be aware that if you order water it is served at room temperature!
This is a wonderful little restaurant and well worth a visit!
Lucy Leishman
Eva's Bakery has to-go bakery items in addition to the sit down part of their restaurant. The menu has lots of yummy comfort food items and they serve breakfast all day. The boulange potatoes are to die for! The food definitely deserves 5 stars, but I gave Eva's four stars because the service is a little under par. The staff isn't super friendly and they don't explain the restaurant very well. For example, when you come in the restaurant the staff doesn't ask if you want to do take away pastries or a sit down meal. Lots of first timers end up standing around not knowing what to do. Also, even though it's a sit down restaurant you're supposed to pay at the register. The first time I went here I waited for a long time for them to bring me the check because they didn't tell me that I needed to pay at the register.
Joseph Quillen
Good coffee, friendly staff, solid food. Grabbed a couple loaves on the way out and they were both excellent. Nice that they have a good to-go game as well as full service.
Gregory Ley
Delicious stuffed French toast and a veggie eggs Benedict! Nice folks there even during the Sunday brunch rush. If you are bothered by places where the seats/tables are very close to each other, you might want to go at a less busy time. Worth it either way.
Julia
Strongest ice coffee I've had in my entire life. That $#+! Slaps!! Also, just the cutest French style bakery in salt lake. Coffee, atmosphere, and pastries are all great. If you're having a slow morning or afternoon or whatever, stop by!
Sara
Incredible! I got the grilled cheese and tomato soup. Worth every penny! And the guy helping me was so kind and sweet!
Tina Nguyen
Perfect. Got the croquet madame. Chef's kiss 😚🤌 …
Heath Bowers
Perfect little place to relax with a great atmosphere. Very friendly service. Good coffee and tasty pastries. I’d recommend the raspberry macaroons! I’m not typically a mocha fan but with their house chocolate added in it I’ll likely order it again.
Amanda S
Always a delight! Have been here numerous times and it is a fantastic spot for breakfast, coffee and pastries, and sandwiches! Love the service and the food is always consistently good!
Cameron Richards
My girlfriend and I stumbled on this spot and expected just a little bakery. Little did we know that it was so much more! We were headed to the opera and were pressed for time and we let the host know. The gentleman informed us that we had plenty of time. We were seated promptly, ordered as such, saved received our food. Everything was fantastic. The lady had the French toast and it was stellar. Great place.
Alisa M.J. Rosner
I selfishly don't want to post a rating because I want this place all to myself. I love Eva's Bakery. It's been a few years since I discovered it, but I'm still just as satisfied with the food served today as I was the first time I visited. I appreciate that you can call in to reserve the pain au chocolat as that goes very quickly. Honestly, everything is good here though. It is usually very busy, so just keep that in mind if you're going to visit. It is definitely worth the crowd and wait.
Daniel Rubiniak
Fantastic food - top level pastries and well balanced dishes. Lovely decoration and very friendly service. I live in NYC and wish we had a place like Eva's bakery here. Highly recommended!
Dakotah Reyes
My favorite brunch place in all of Salt Lake City. Waitresses are so nice and remember you when you come in multiple times. There are 2 vegan options for a main course, the rest of the menu is meat/dairy based. Depending on how busy it is there is up to a 20 minute wait, usually it's only 5 minutes. Have never had bad service here and go once a week. Prices are very fair, usually from $7-$15.
Sasha Hacon
I came here during a break in the school day, and I was wowed by the restaurant, the service, and the food. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the beautiful, cozy feeling of the restaurant. Promptly, a waitress approached me and my friends, and offered to us to dine in. She was extremely helpful, and the food was amazing. (Recommend the stuffed french toast and the eggs Benedict)
Elena T
Perfect place to enjoy a great onion soup and amazing salads and most importantly ...mimosas.
Nora Dahlberg
Came for brunch on a Saturday and had the eggs Benedict--I swapped the ham for bacon and OMG what a brilliant idea! Everything was absolutely delicious, and yes, we had to wait a while for a table but it was a Saturday afternoon so that's to be expected. The only real complaint I have is that I had a slice of cake from the bakery afterwards and it was very dry...probably due to the fact it was 2pm and the cake was baked and sliced early in the morning but I would suggest to Eva's that they slice the cake upon request instead to prevent it from drying out.
Maison Dwyer
Amazing coffee. Great food, atmosphere and service. Loved the croissant sandwich, stuffed French toast, granola and yogurt & chocolate almond croissant. Yuuuum!!
Steven Gelb
This is a four rating behind some of the best bakeries in the world. I'd still drive 40 miles to eat baked goods here.
One of their baked rolls, perhaps cinnamon, was a five, but the rest were solid 4, which on my scale is very very good.
I'm not comparing to Utah, but to SF, LA, NYC, Paris. We also sat and had a breakfast egg choices that all 3 of us enjoyed.
But I'm rating the place primarily on their baked goods. The breads were a 3 though. Perhaps best in UT, but still a 3.
David Fox
We love this place! Wonderful pastries, coffee, and food. Food and service is always excellent and consistent, and prices are good. Cute, quaint, and well done interior, Eva's is loved by a wide range of people. This is the kind of place SLC needs more of! Highly recommended.
Nia Guerrero
What better place to get brunch. Take a cute pic, meet up and catch up with the girls. All the while enjoying such delicious food. Their french toast is to die for. I order it every time I go.
My work is close by and I like to stop by for a quick pastry.
Lisa S.
Eva's is delicious and consistent. I love the atmosphere and coziness.
Robert Tang
One of the very few bakeries that has an authentic baguette that doesn't taste like sandwich bread. Canelé is amazing too
Rachel Green
Picture this... a coffee shop (with pastries) meets European diner. Coffee. Chocolate croissants, sandwiches, really everything! It's amazing! oh, and you won't miss it... it's the one with the pretty blue exterior!
Ryan Murray
Seriously one of the best croissants I’ve ever had. Very sweet spot for pastries and breakfast
Clinton Olsen
Stuffed french toast and a cappuccino is the way to go. I would recommend eating a brunch here for sure! It's not the largest location, but the atmosphere is very friendly and comforting. They have all sorts of pastries and entrees to indulge in.
L H
Perfect croissants, I never thought I'd find a place that makes good croissants in the US but Eva's has proved me wrong. Flakey gorgeously laminated dough risen beautifully and baked to perfection. They taste, feel, and look perfect. Perhaps a tad big but I'm not complaining! I stop by every time in in the city.
CJ Haas
Absolutely amazing. Fantastic bread, pastries, and coffee that are only topped by the service. I have never had a bad experience here. On the downside, I may have a serious baguette addiction that might require rehab.
PS: Abigail and Madeline were particularly helpful today. Thank you!
Michael B.
Everything good that people say about Eva's is true. I always stop by when I work in SLC, and always have a good experience. Good pricing and great taste and ingredients, rich but not greasy. The friendly staff don't intrude, but magically appear to refill coffee and when I'm ready to pay my bill. The seating could be a bit tight, but I haven't had a problem so far. I definitely recommend.
Isaac Denison
Delectable pastries in a parisian-style downtown shop, would go again, especially for the Kouign Amann. The shop is close to other popular sites in downtown Salt Lake and is close to transit options as well. Overall great experience and great food!
Cathy Newton
I’ve always loved Eva’s, so it seemed like a great idea when my husband decided to get takeout for lunch. We ordered five items and he discovered when he got home that we had only four. When he called, he was told that “sometimes we have a hard time with the kitchen staff because they only speak Spanish.” And with that, Eva’s lost our business forever. You make a mistake, you apologize and deduct it from the bill. You don’t throw your kitchen staff under the bus.
Bill Penny
didn't mind waiting 45 min, but got a little annoyed when host skipped us a few times. Ordered cappuccino in a mug, it came with a togo cup. The food came really fresh and hot. The stuffed French toast was amazing. Wanted some ketchup for the yummy potato but had to wait nearly 10 minutes for that. 5 star for food 2 star for service.
Eva Dedegkika
Yummy baked goodies! Great atmosphere!
Sounds Good
French toast and eggs Benedict were delicious! Definitely worth the wait, can’t wait to come back.
Linda Llewelyn
Eva’s is THE BEST!!! Since the stay at home orders were implemented, this is the restaurant I miss the very, very most! The food and pastries are OUT OF THIS WORLD!! I love the ambiance of the restaurant too. Cannot wait until you can all open again!!
Rachel Hawkins
Eva's is one of my favorite places to stop in for lunch downtown. They have great grab and go options if you're looking for something to take out. They also have a larger menu if you want to sit down for breakfast or lunch. Plus, the bakery items are always delicious.
Dalton Janssen
The quiche is incredible! Light crust and full of flavor! Comes with herb potatoes and little spring salad. Always fast service and the ready to eat stuff is great too. Strongly recommend!
k kai'a pfeiffer
Best place to get coffee that the downtown metro area has to offer. Friendly, knowledgeable staff that gets the job done! Always get my order right and seem to know it before I even get to the register. Great job girls, keep it up. Bonus points: they totally don't judge if you happen to be sneaking in to grab a quick coffee and are haggard looking or hungover (personal experience) and they'll get you in & out asap.
VaLon Lee
Very good food. Glad they were open early for our breakfast. A little pricey. Loved the outdoor eating area.
T C
If I could give more stars I would! This place has the best food I've had in a long time! Delicious! We had the French dip and French toast. Can't wait to go back next time we are in the area. Unfortunately we live in WA state so not soon enough.
Shriti Pradhan
This place is a hidden gem! We tried their BLT and almond/choc croissant and it was just so delightful and flavorful. Definitely going back to try more things on their menu.
Abby Lyman
Almost every employee in this establishment asked how we were doing and if we were satisfied. Not only is the food very good, but we felt well taken care of. Will definitely return!
Molly Kohrman
I love the atmosphere of this place - cozy, quaint, French... Great assortment of pastries (love everything one I've tried) and the real food is pretty good, too! The French onion soup wasn't quite as good as I'd hoped for a French place, but not bad.
harry C
Delicious food, amazing croissants and a super amazing chai latte
Matthew La Corte
Truly a stellar little diner! Great drinks, delicious food, and comforting atmosphere. Great baked goods and also vegetarian friendly food.
Ashley Porter
My go to breakfast place, I love the food and the ambiance. It’s only downfall is that the service can be a little touch and go. I’ve never left here and thought wow that was exceptional service. With that being said the employees are still really friendly, but not always attentive.
Diane Vargo
Excellent menu choices, staff very knowledgeable, friendly and pleasant. Had the avocado toast - hands down winner!
Robert Center
We stopped here after a show at the eccles theater. I got the steak sandwich with potatoes, and my wife got the cheese and fruit platter. We both absolutely loved it. Food was delicious, the location is nice and convenient, and it has a fun, intimate ambience. I highly recommend it.
Randi Moore
Everything I've tried pretty amazing here. The quiche is divine and the Benedict is amazing. Sometimes service can be a tinsy bit slow but the waiters are always courteous. Also, I haven't seen these very often but if you have the chance to get a plum tart, do it. It is soooooo good. Wish I saw it more often.
Tobias Faucher
They should take the title of Boulangerie out of the logo. I doubt any of the bakers have been to a real boulangerie that makes a good baguette. The baguette was grainy, tasted like lactic acid, and had almost no gluten structure when cut open. I have it 3 stars because the croissant and chocolate croissants are ok. Still think they should use more butter in their croissant tho. Take a trip to Paris to taste good bread and then come back.
Emma Ryder
This place is cute cute cute! The beautiful blue storefront brought us in, the delicious benedict and pistacchio cream puff wowed me and the sweet staff will bring me back. Quest and Laura were so lovely to us (a loud group of reuniting girls) and I really appreciated that they matched our energy and were eager to let us have our fun, I think they were having fun too :) Thank you for an unforgettable experience! Don't listen to the negative nancy reviews and go to Eva's ASAP!

Just finished breakfast at Eva's this morning with my family. We *loved* it. Our kids asked us to go back again tomorrow. We were seated quickly, and the staff was among the kindest and most attentive I've seen at any restaurant. Definitely worth the break from the mass-produced chain restaurant crap!

Amazing stuffed french toast. Speedy and friendly service. Good coffee.

The best onion soup I’ve tried in slc,the waiters are friendly and respect you space. The have a chocolate croissant with a coconut filling, that is delicious ever better the day after, and good quality coffee.

The pastries here are delicious! We loved the quiche, but the frittata was meh. The hot chocolate tasted more like milk or cream than chocolate. We want to go back and try the Benedict it looked good.

This quaint little bakery contains delectables with tastes no passerby would be disappointed to try. The desserts, pastries, and coffees I selected were well crafted and fresh, with an ambiance well fitted to compliment the culinary experience.

LOOOOOOVE this place. It is just 1/2 a block down from our spaDAY. We frequent it quite often. The atmosphere is elegant yet quaint. Such a sweet shop with sweet people. I love (and am unfortunately) quite addicted to their chocolate Croissants, ham and butter on baguette, Madame Croque-monsieur (although I think they call it something else) and their flat bread pizza I believe. beautiful, fun and they continue to improve. Also, great drip coffee. Reasonable prices as well. I don't feel like I'm being taken for.

Absolutely delicious quiche lorraine and scrumptious chocolate croissant. French onion soup was fantastically prepared. Piar with Stella Artois!😋 …

It's delicious and the building is so nice, it reminds me of Paris a great deal.

I've been here a number of times, and I'm always full and happy when I leave. Their house coffee is good, with free refills, and their beet and avocado open sandwich is to die for. Staff has always been nice to me, and I always recommend this place to friends!

Everything I've had at Eva's has been absolutely delicious! Both from the breakfast/lunch menu and then their pastries. But the coconut macaroons are TO DIE FOR! No trip to Eva's would be complete without them.

Amazing food. The service was friendly and great. A really cute little breakfast or lunch spot. The stuffed french toast is the best french toast I've had in Utah. Definitely coming back

When you have been talking about a cinnamon roll for days after having it, it’s a amazing cinnamon roll! The chocolate croissant was amazing as well! I wished I lived here just so I could enjoy this place more often!

During my hols in SLC last week and being from Belgium I couldn't resist this bakery. The outside of the bakery reminded me slightly of a "French" one.
Tried out some pastries and yummy, they were good! Regular croissant and a chocolate one were delicious.
Certainly not to be missed when being in Downtown SLC!

The food is great, online ordering and pickup was a snap. The menu is limited, currently. Love the hot chocolate and pastries. The croque madame was excellent!

Favorite brunch spot in downtown SLC. The mochas are fantastic ☕ The stuffed french toast is my go-to, closely followed by avocado toast 🥑 I love to dine in at this place (usually a wait Saturday morning, not bad Sunday), but the bakery at the front of the store is great for a quick coffee and French baked good- my favorites are their fruit tart and macaroons. Bestie loves the chocolate croissant. Highly recommend Eva's!

Great vegan options. The vegan chicken sandwich, vegan plate and vegan croissants are amazing! We only wish they had more vegan options. Try it, you will not regret it!
Terri Gioffre
The food was excellent, Stuffed French Toast was delicious. Service is great. Best Macaroons, I can't wait to try the other goodies I got.
Gord Zura
I only had pastries, and they were amazing! Coffee is excellent too. Service is outstanding. Love the location.

Visiting out of town and stumbled upon this little gem. Walking in took me right back to Italy (even though it is obviously more of a French influence) and I loved it. The customer service was luke warm in my opinion...not bad but not super great. My blt sandwich was easily one of the best sandwiches of my life though, and it really is just the cutest little place.

Very cute bakery; the closest thing to Parisian bakery that you can get in Utah. I believe the croissants were good, especially for non-European standards. Recommend checking this place out when you’re in Salt Lake City.

Do you like pastries? If so this is the place for you. The almond and chocolate croissants are my favorite. The lunch menu is also super tasty with an ever changing amount of items. I highly recommend this place.

Cute atmosphere, but the coffee was lukewarm and in this kind of place, I would expect to have a saucer under my cup of coffee to lay my spoon on. I had the stuff french toast, the filling was wonderful which help because the outside was a little too over done. Not sure if I would go back.
LM SORENSON
Decent prices for fantastic food. They have great coffee and baked good as well. Tables are small and maybe not the best place for more than 4. 1-2 people fit best.
Nicole Money Smith
Amazing food!!!! Super cute place and great service. We had a great experience for our first time there and can't wait to go back. We had the croque Monsieur, the cannelle, the chocolate croissant...it's all so good!

Although it can be challenging trying to get a table at Eva's, that's part of what adds to their allure. Their quaint, cozy space is truly unique. Everything I've ordered, whether sitting down or grabbing a pastry to go, has been absolutely delicious. Notably, their Kouign Amann are so flaky and moist and some of the best I've ever had. I also dream about their stuffed french toast -- truly decadent. Plus don't forget to order a latte, they serve them in large mugs that add to the cozy vibe.

This place is amazing! Their fresh baked bread is some of the best I've ever had and the brunch food is delicious.
Looking for a hip place to catch a bite and relax, this is a great place for it.

Amazing. Order anything here and you will be happy. But definitely go for some bread. Do not miss out. And a sweet snack. Literally any of them.
Alicia Lindgren
Tasteful decor, great coffee. It has a Manhatten vibe. A little pricy and I haven't had anything other than their sweets, but they are delicious and authentic and just grabbing a to-go coffee and pastry from Eva's boosts your spirits and it feels like a reward after a day at the office!
Cecilia Prieto
I love stopping into this bakery for my morning coffee and delicious pastries. The staff is always friendly and their food is great.

The pastries were delicious but coffee was basic...!!

First, I NEVER give fives, so giving four stars means a lot to me.
I’m accustomed to being disappointed or, mostly underwhelmed. At first, I was, but my perception was quickly erased by helpful staff, good green tea and those evil, evil, evil, gluten-free macaroons.
It’s my first visit to Salt Lake City and this is one of several shops that are welcoming and have personalities all their own.
Eden Genevieve
I got the chocolate croissant and it was so delicious! I definitely plan on going back to try different items. Everything looked delicious and the whole place was so cute!

Eva’s was a great find for a quick lunch. Delicious lattes and food. Friendly waitstaff. If we were locals, it would a regular stop for us.
Kelsie Mecham
My husband and I love Eva’s but they seriously need to get some new to go coffee cups. We stopped by on our way out for a long road trip for some coffee and it turned into a disaster. The lid would not stay on the cup. After about an hour of fighting with this coffee cup, we decided to just pull off the free way and throw the entire coffee out. We were both covered in spilt coffee, not to mention the coffee all over my car. The frustration and mess is not worth it. Definitely don’t recommend getting their coffee to go.

Little pricey but great place. Nice service and meal. Everything was fresh and well made. The info and pictures on its site do represent the place accurately. Nothing crazy or innovative in the menu with the focus on fresh and quality which it delivers
Carla Ribeiro
Wonderful place! Everything was so tasteful. Try the avocado toast. The best I had in years.
