I would give a 6* rating if I could. Words fail as to describe everyone there: They were all beyond friendly and always there to help, and I'm not saying that because they gave us a free (FANTASTICALLY TASTY) glaze donut. They were amazing, had plenty of options all at a reasonable price that I don't see in my town, and overall blew my mind out of the water. It all tasted great and wish something like this existed closer to where I live. Also, Lemon Glaze should definitely be more of a thing!

The fact that you get offered a glazed donut as soon as you walk in certainly doesn't hurt either.. my husband and I got a few glazed, a raspberry & lemon jelly, a cherry cameltoe, and a strong pimphand!!! This place is top notch! The donuts were fresh and the best I have had in OKC. However that is minor to report this family owed business all together is top notch! Everyone of the people working this morning greated me with a smile and was so happy, as a customer that just makes your day even better when you walk into an establishment and the workers are like that. So delicious! Wow! A lady from my work brings donuts sometimes and they are amazing! I tore the little advertisement off the top and took it home and put on my fridge since I wanted to get my kids some! We went this morning and we’re not disappointed! Hot fresh glazed donuts when we walked in and took a dozen of mixed donuts home! Mmmmmm!!!! Happy kids ♥️♥️🙌🏼🙌🏼 the owner was there and told us about his secret recipe he has had for 30+ years! So cool.

A gentleman at church recommended that I try this place. I was intrigued when he told me their donuts are made with potato flour, are big, and the price is reasonable. When he mentioned that it's owned and operated by a veteran I just had to try it. As a veteran myself I believe in supporting veteran run businesses whenever possible. The location of Polar Donuts is 12 miles from me. That almost made me reconsider. However, he praised them so highly that Monday morning all I could think about was trying these donuts. I needed to drive the Thunderbird to blow the carbon out anyway. It's an '81 and looks appalling but runs well. It had been sitting over a month because it had needed a starter. AAA had just finished up the work, so I got on the freeway and drove down to Meridian and 10th. It was easy to find. Polar donuts was 20 minutes away, and the drive was fun. As I walked in I was listening to a Jimmy Smith song on my Bluetooth speaker (Root Down and Get It) and the proprietor handed me a donut and complimented the song. He was a Vietnam veteran and Jimmy Smith music is from that era (60s-70s) He explained how the donuts were made. I bought half a dozen and a cup of coffee. I'm an airhead and forgot my coffee but that's because the donuts were so big I got distracted !!! These donuts are indeed delicious and huge. Everyone was very nice. The proprietor was very friendly and the business was busy and efficiently run. The price was fair, and I'd definitely recommend them to anyone no matter how far you must drive for them. Excellent experience and totally worth the 40 minutes round trip drive. Best donuts I've had in years. Unfortunately I can't include pictures of the actual donuts because I ate them too fast. Next time I go I'll be sure to do so!!! I have included the picture of what I wore to Polar Donuts. One belt pouch has my Bluetooth speaker, the other has my phone, keys, etc. I'd give more stars if possible !!!

The absolute best customer service I have seen and received in a very long time. Everyone was super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The donuts were amazing and of course they have a variety box if you can’t decide! They even helped me take the donut boxes to the car since my hands were full with an infant. This is honestly the best doughnuts I’ve ever had. It got to a point where I was coming in 3-4 times a week! They always greet you when you come in, offer a free glazed, and are always super helpful. Recently found out they are veteran owned as well! I would give it 100 stars if I could.

I went here this morning with my sister to get donuts. This was my first time here. When we walked in the staff was friendly. They offered us a free doughnut. I received an apple spice doughnut. When I say this is the best tasting donut I have had in my entire life, I mean it. I have never had a donut with so much flavor. I encourage anyone who likes donuts to definitely get you some polar donuts. Hi will definitely make a return. Keep up the good work

If you haven't had the donuts here, you're missing out. I don't know what they do different that sets them apart from other donut shops but they are the best on this side of town! They even give you a free donut while you're waiting and it's always warm and just out of the oven.

5 STARS INDEED! We stumbled across this shop in need for donuts near Cristo Rey School. Uh, who knew donuts could be made with potatoes? WHAT? Ya blowin' my mind cuz!!! Not this guy. I also didn't know they could be so good. And such a variation too. Each one appears hand-crafted. Yes you'll pay more, but you'll get what you pay for, and you won't be tossing back 4 or 5 of these in one sitting. Can't wait to go back and try more.

Legit as close to Round Rock doughnuts in Austin, Tx as I have ever had, We were traveling for a convention and stopped in on a Saturday to grab doughnuts. Warm apple fritter, and fresh glazed doughnuts as you walked in for free. What an amazing experience!! When we come back to the area we for sure will be back!

The workers are always friendly and prompt The facility, always clean. The owner is a veteran and a mentor. Young and old alike, he will teach/mentor the skills of his trade to those willing to learn. He has many repeat and loyal customers, that alone validates it's 5 star reputation, well earned and deserved. In all, the atmosphere, as a whole, of Polar Donuts, is inviting and friendly. The staff was very friendly and the owner greeted us upon arrival. We were offered free glazed donuts as soon as we walked in while we waited! The donut selection was great, even at 10:30 in the morning on a Saturday. My husband and I both agreed that the apple fritter was the best we've ever had...large and tasty. Walked in for the first time and I was presented with a free donut, had a great selection (donuts are even made from potatoes and they were incredible). On top of all that, they were the sweetest people I've met in Oklahoma coming from Tennessee for a FFA competition. He even put whipped cream in my donut because I'm not a fan of Boston creme. Very nice people, veteran owned, and they know how to run a business and I believe that's why they've been in business for so long.

I stopped in to get a couple of donuts for my long drive to Vegas. The staff was very nice and the donuts were wicked good! I got a raspberry jelly and a Boston cream. And a plain for the doggo. The jelly was spilling out! Its exactly how a donut should be! Very yummy. Very fresh. So so fabulous! If I lived closer they would be my donut shop for sure!!!!

Polar Donuts are the only true donut. Other so-called 'donuts' should be called something else, because they are nowhere near as delicious and fulfilling as a polar donut. Polar Donuts not only taste the best, they never make my stomach upset like every other donut. I can easily eat 3 or 4 glazed donuts from Polar Donuts in one sitting and not feel terrible, but can barely eat 1 donut from somewhere else without getting a stomach ache right away. AND for what its worth, I regularly eat their glazed donuts the next day, and though not quite as wonderful as fresh, they still are better than any other fresh donut that I've run across.

The donuts were just okay. The glazed were the best but the powdered jelly, Boston creme, and apple fritter were dry and didn't taste good. The staff was friendly but the state of the facility was honestly poor. The kitchen which is widely exposed looked quite gross. The equipment also looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned. I've been to several other donut shops like missys and hurts when they are fresh. They were a lot better and cleaner than this facility. I don't mind paying 13+ dollars for 8 donuts but they better be fresh and delicious. Sadly they were not. I went in the morning. The family looked like nice people but I will never return to this place. Just not worth anymore than a 5 min drive and I drove 40 minutes because of their rank in the states.

This place defiantly was above and beyond. I called less then 24 hours to place a large 12 dozen variety order for ou event we were having in town and they went all out. What to say about this Jewel of a Donut shop? The donuts are absolutely amazing - they use a potato bread so they are almost always soft and doughy! The staff is always so friendly and kind and they have a wide range of fritters, long johns, and donuts. I go almost every Sunday and they offer a free glazed donut usually fresh out of the oven. Very reasonable prices! Absolutely fantastic.

To say that this place makes amazing donuts is a true understatement. They have a very simple selection but you don't need a complicated menu when it comes to donuts. From the regular and twist glazed ones to the chocolate longjohns and peach fritters, there is no way you could go wrong. I have never in my life had a glazed donut as good as the one that was warm and covered in quite possibly the most delicious glaze I have ever tasted. And if the high quality donuts, that you can never have just one of, is not enough their customer service is number one. I can not begin to compliment them enough on the incredible taste of items that they offer and the excellent customer service. We will definitely return and I can say without a doubt that we found our new favorite donut shop. You can not get better than this place. If I could give more than 5 stars I most certainly would!

I pass this donut shop every day on my way to work and always meant to stop in. Well today I finally did! I ordered two apple fritters and after taking just my first bite I decided that it was the best apple fritter that I have ever had! It was so soft and fluffy on the inside but nice and crisp on the outside. I will be telling all my friends that if they want donuts that this is the place to go!

Amazing donuts! The blueberry cake donut is my favorite and by far the best cake donut I've ever had! The owners and staff are very friendly and they even give away fresh FREE donuts to everyone who walks in the door! Highly recommend this donut shop to everyone! My only advice is to get there early or call to reserve the kind of donuts you want because they sell out of donuts long before they close each day because they're so darn good!!

We are from Savannah Missouri and we were visiting Oklahoma City for the weekend. On our way home we passed by several people standing along the street with signs that said “hot donuts.” Who can pass up fresh hot donuts? We had to stop and get some for our trip home. We were offered a free donut when we came in the door and ended up buying a dozen more. These are some of the best donuts I’ve ever tasted! The owner was super kind and friendly! The staff was also friendly. I would highly recommend stopping at this donut shop if you are visiting or living in the city.

Every time I come in, they make me feel welcome; whether it be with casual conversation, or a free donut! Best donuts I've had in town. I recommend the variety box so that you can try some regular sized donuts along with some of their bigger "fritter" sized treats (the apple fritters are the BOMB). The people there are amazing AND their donuts are perfect! One person said the AppleFritter was dry but let me tell you, it was most definitely not! Not only did they step to and made it with smile and a thank you but, it also tasted better than the ones we had originally tried to purchase from a national chain!!! I'm in town on business and stopped by this place thinking it was just another donut shop. I was TOTALLY WRONG!!! They greeted me as if I was the only customer, gave a sample donut (delicious), and offered their suggested pastries to try. Then they threw in a few more donuts on top of my order, yes that's right they gave me more donuts, not donut holes. The prices were very reasonable, but their hospitality is above and beyond. If I'm ever back in OKC, I'll definitely be visiting this place again.

I've been coming to Polar for 7 years and every time each donut I try is delicious and wonderful, friendly customer service. They've many kinds, but my favorite is the apple fritter and donut holes which are perfect with their coffee. I purchased way more donuts than 2 people should reasonably eat in a day, so we had leftovers and these leftover donuts were delicious all through the weekend.

Not only is this place active in the local community (What up WesTen) if you're looking to support B.O.B in OKC this is one to go to. Why bother with places like Dunkin that do nothing to give back to the neighborhood? Now for the actual review. The donuts are dangerously delicious and melt in your mouth, very convenient if you need to stuff a bunch in there at once. As you enter you'll immediately be offered a fresh donut. The customer service is incredible.

They earn their national ranking for one of the best Donuts in the United States. Our clients and employees love them. Be sure to go on a Friday or Saturday during the summer and ask for the special chocolate donut. It is a regular glazed donut that tastes like chocolate, but there is no chocolate icing to get messy from. It looks like a regular glazed donut but it is not.

Not my first choice for a donut but holy cow - it was seriously the best glazed donut I've ever had! We were each little piggies and ordered two more - maple and boston creme. Very yummy indeed. The establishment is very small, so plan on getting them to go - or to eat in your car.

Kind of picked over by 11 o'clock (to be fair, aren't all donut shops?) but we still managed to snag a dozen filled, glazed and chocolate frosted donuts for under $10 and they were so fluffy and sweet that we could hardly wait for breakfast the next morning to get another box. Staff was friendly and attentive and shop was relatively clean (if not a little aged). We'd likely become regulars if we were from the area.

Potato bread donuts? Yes and they are good. During the summer months on Saturdays they have an amazing chocolate dough glazed donut that is my favorite. Any given day they will have 4 to 5 types of fritters. They do their old-fashion cake donuts in bars and my wife likes this variant. Only a 4 because of cleanliness and the off color names of some of their specialty donuts.
