I am a pie connoisseur, and I live in Georgia, which is known for their pecan pies. I have to say this pecan pie is in my top three, and I have had pecan pies all over the south. Definitely try this pie. If you come on the weekdays there isn't much of a wait, on Saturday you will have to wait in line. Also, heat the pie slice for 15 seconds and it will be perfect. Update: I returned for some more pie. This time I was able to try the bird dog and the peanut butter. They are stingy with the punch card for slices. In the past two weeks I have purchased a ton of whole pies and a bunch of slices. They only gave me 6 stamps, when I have purchased way more slices than that. I also bought the turkey pot pie, but haven't baked it yet. My favorites in ranking order: #1 Pecan, #2 Banana, #3 tie between the Coconut & Bird Dog, #4 Peanut Butter but only if mixed with the banana pie, #5 French Silk

Have been here several times for single slices of pie, but was recently given a chicken pot pie and a drunken turtle pie as a gift from a friend. The pot pie was exceptional! I could eat it every day. Seriously. The drunken turtle was good, but really missing salt, so I fixed that by sprinkling some flaked salt I had on hand. Very good otherwise. I highly recommend trying out Pie Junkie!

I have been coming to Pie Junkie for years. The customer service is amazing. The pies are extraordinarily good. I will continue visit every time I am in the area. I am a huge fan of the cherry pie and key lime pie. The drunken turtle for the days I am craving chocolate. The peanut butter for the peanut days. The chicken and turkey pot pies are excellent (they even come in a personal size). I have filled many punch cards!

Thanksgiving pie order - the best French silk and apple pie ever! So good, highly recommend. Also got the drunken turtle, take and bake pumpkin and peanut butter chocolate. All delicious!! Had trouble with their online ordering when it opened and they posted that anyone who had trouble ordering could reach out and they would honor the order. I reached out and they did - great customer service, easy pick up, yummy pies!

Pie Junkie is one of my favorite places to get dessert. The s’more pie and French silk are my top picks hands down. I tried the pot pie and wasn’t a fan but the quiche was pretty tasty. Definitely come for the sweet stuff!

Pros: prompt service, top notch desserts and good coffee. We really liked it! They also have savory items. Recommend! Cons: No seating inside. Only one small 2 chair table outside. Would be nice to enjoy the dessert on premise as a nice end of the evening or rest while exploring midtown

Trimming🥧 pie junkie! This place is amazing they close pretty early on weeknights so get there before they close. This place feels small when they're busy but the line definitely move quick but if you had to wait an hour it'd be worth it! The pie is delicious I've not had them all yet but I'm trying. They've all been so good it's always hard to decide what to get.

I've never considered myself a pie person - unless it's banana cream - so I was not expecting to fall in love with 3 different flavors! They had so many options and each one was unique and tasted so so great. Next time I'm visiting OKC I'll definitely be back

I am so new to the Oklahoma food scene having moved here less than a year ago. Being Pi day, I searched for a place to go to get my pie and this place popped up on my search. Being from Austin, everyone knows that seeing a line outside the door of an eatery is always a good sign and indicator that goodness lies within those doors. So I took my time and waited my turn (because some things in life are worth the wait/weight). I asked my fellow hustlers for recommendations and it was highly recommended that I got not just one pie but three, so I got the apple crumble, bird dog buttermilk, and the drunken turtle. Ermehgerd! The crumbs crumbled like fallen toy soldiers in my mouth. The pies were fluffy and not sweet - not that overwhelming saccharin taste of sugary food that makes you say your Hail Marys at every bite, but really rich, suave taste of goodness. Being Pi day, they sold their pies at $3.14, which goes to show that this place rolled well with the times. I will be planning a trip there soon! Love me this place.

WOW!! I enjoy baking so often times don't think "bought" desserts are anything exceptional but EVERY pie they make is AMAZING! I ordered blackberry, turtle and lemon for 90 people for a wedding dinner. Everyone was so complimentary of the pies and many asked if they could take a slice home. I really appreciate the customer service I received as I decided on the flavors, quantity and delivery method. Emily was so helpful. Pie Junkie is the BEST!

Cute little place sandwiched into a block of eclectic establishments. Vintage aesthetic works perfectly for the product. We had the chorizo potato quiche which was superb and took pieces of sweet pie away with us.

Came to Pie Junkie since my sister in law had seen them mentioned o TikTok (!!!), and asked us to bring her a chicken pot pie on our way home to Texas. We'd never heard of it, so out of curiosity we got ourselves a family pie to try. We can all agree that it was the best chicken pot pie we ever had! My mother in law, who is the best cook i know, said it was "Very Good!", Which is as high a compliment as a food can get! So now, as long as they keep up the same quality, we'll have to go by Pie Junkie every time we come to OKC!

Got a whole pie of the month, the brownie batter, as well as a slice of southern banana and french silk. The french silk pie was really good and I can't wait to try the rest. Pie Junkie honestly deserves more than 5 stars! I’ve been coming here for years and I am hooked on the Druken Turtle. Sometimes I stop by for a single slice and grab 3, or if it’s a holiday season I may grab a whole pie for my family and I to share. Everyone that works there is always very friendly and you can tell that they strive for greatness because I can’t name another place in the city that I can get a pie as good as the Drunken Turtle. 😂 Maybe one day I’ll venture out and try something else.

Cool little dessert place in the Plaza district of OKC! Cute and sassy decor. Small dining area. My wife and I stopped in to take a couple of slices to go. Good speedy service. Coconut pie was very good as well as the peanut butter pie that my wife choose. Other creative desserts were available as well as chicken pot pie. The cookie dough within a cookie sandwich genius!!

Not a huge fan of desert pie, but recently become a fan of chicken pie. Their "take and bake" chicken pot pie was just alright in my book. Nothing "wrong" with it, just wasn't amazing. One of these days hopefully I will try some of their more traditional pies.

OBSESSED with this place. I have never tasted better pies! It is quite literally one of my goals to taste every flavor on their menu, but so far, southern banana cream is my favorite. Literally thought I died and went to heaven when I had my first bite of that slice!

Everything was really good! The pies are rich and thick, the crusts are buttery and flakey, and everything is done right. You can get whipped cream or ice cream on top of your slice and you can also get a coffee with your slice so that you can have it dressed the way you want it.

This is a very popular destination nestled in the Plaza district. We were not disappointed. They had over a dozen different kinds of pie, and the ones we chose we really good. The only detractor was the lack of seating, but many times you can find a bench or table on the sidewalk nearby.

Not sure what type of magic they use in their pies but I can’t get enough. Their traditional pecan pie is by far the best pecan my family has ever had. Even their coconut pie is AHHHHMAZING. I say that because I have never been a fan of coconut anything and yet after being tricked to take a bite I literally fell in love. Take advantage of their pie day and basically any event they have. You won’t regret it.

Pure deliciousness. Every slice, sweet or savory, is heavenly. Some of my favorites include the blackberry crumble, key lime and Oreo pies. Excellent service! They typically have scoops of ice cream for purchase, because duh you have to eat the blackberry crumble with some vanilla ice cream. We had asked for two scoops and they were out but quickly and kindly gave us 2 free slices for the inconvenience. So of course I highly recommend this place and their people.

My husband and I went here for dessert on date night. We ordered four different flavors to take home and try. I was not overly impressed, and expected a better product after so many rave reviews. Maybe we came on an off day, but the pies were all overly sweet and lacking flavor. I would not go out of my way to come here again, but I would give them a second chance if I was back in the area.

I made a special trip to Pie Junkie on my birthday because one can have cake any old time. The Strawberry Diner slice tasted exactly like the fresh pies we used to get from Walgreen's as a kid (Yes, at one time some Walgreen's had actual diners inside); the Key Lime was smooth, tart perfection; and the French Silk was the gold standard by which all others must be judged. Probably my all time favorite dessert place. Funny story. Their birthday pie is my favorite and I noticed they had a whole pie available on my way to my 38 week ob appointment so I prepaid for it and was going to pick it up on the way home. Welp little did I know my little bundle of joy decided she was going to be coming that day so of course I couldn't pick up my pie. Today two weeks later I'm finally getting my birthday pie and it's never tasted so good!

I first stumbled across this place about 5 years ago after looking for pie on national pie day. Pie Junkie has been a favorite of mine since then. I love that there are daily by the slice options - I usually buy a few different kinds and that way I can try a new flavor or have a favorite. I have yet to be disappointed by the pie that I have tried! My go to favorites are the bird dog buttermilk and the drunken turtle. Another favorite that is seasonal is the strawberry diner - I tried this on a whim one time and it was sensational! Once that's on the menu again I will definitely swing by to get a slice. The quiche is also good - I've tried a few different kinds and found that they are the right consistency for a quiche and have some good filling options. I still haven't tried their take and bake pot pies, so that's the next new thing I'll give a try. Only downside is parking - that is just how it is for the Plaza District though. I usually have to park a little further down the street and walk to the shop, but I've also gotten lucky with a spot right in front.

Eat Well Travel Often

We had super high expectations after reading many reviews before stopping by. Parking was a huge issue, but that’s not their fault. We got a slice of pecan, a coconut cream, and an apple berry (not sure of that one’s exact name). They were all “okay”. Not bad by any means, but far from great (in our opinion). They reminded us of nothing even close to Grandma’s old school, delicious homemade pies (which is what we were expecting). Obviously, tons of people disagree with us because there are so many 5 star reviews, but we weren’t big fans.

Totally lives up to all the hype I've heard about them and more! I've had a lot of friends recommend Pie Junkie, and now I'm hooked after trying them for the first time today! I'm just sad that I live over 2 hours away, but you can bet any time I'm in the city I'll be getting my "Pie Junkie fix"! I got a few different kind of pie slices and a quiche slice to take home to try and so far I've had the quiche and the strawberry diner pie! WOW! Both were absolutely amazing! DELICIOUS!!! I have had a strong strong urge for your pecan pies since before Christmas. The crust was buttery sweet flakey and I ate the pie out of the crust , and saved the crust as a whole separate dessert for late night . Sorry to say , the crust has been very bland, the last few pies. I know times are rough, and some cuts and substitutes have to be made. Hang in there pie junkie. We still love you.

Pie Junkie is one of those nearly hidden places where those who know about it love it and are willing to stand in line out the door. And those who don't know about it yet should discover it. Their pies ate made fresh daily with seasonal products. Was hoping for strawberry rhubarb but I was too late, they had already sold out. I had their pecan pie which is almost as good as Grandma's. The pecan halves were large and numerous. The filling was very sweet. The slice was a generous portion. My only drawback was the outer crust edge is a little too thick. For those who enjoy the crust as much as I do, they may find it a little tough on the edges. But many people don't eat that part anyway. Bottom line is well worth the wait!

My husband loves pie so I got him a bird dog pie for his birthday. Neither of us have ever heard of it before so we tried something new and it worked out very well. The pie is sweet and creamy with a thin crust on top. It was nice and different. I would say it's more of a grown up pie if you like your sweets. I also got him a bacon corn and swiss quiche for his breakfast the next day since he was off of work. He called me that morning and told me how wonderful it was. He said that it tasted gourmet. I had my chance to try it three days after I got it and it was so yummy. I loved every bit of it and can't wait to have it for breakfast tomorrow.

1st timers and what an experience! Step into the "sliver" of space and right into line. On the immediate left is a refrigerator holding savory pies begging to be taken home and baked. Nearing the cash register, the pie selections are showcased. My husband had the Key Lime Pie (whipped cream served with an ice cream scooper)! I went for the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie with a robust espresso shot. Both pie choices satisfied our cravings! We think we spotted a kid with a scoop of ice cream (or maybe it was the whipped cream?) with his pie! Pies can be purchased whole or by the slice. If you like these pies, inquire about buying 9 and getting one free. Helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. Fun times!

I usually don't even like pie, but I'm so disappointed in myself that it took me this long to try Pie Junkie. We thoroughly enjoyed our Pumpkin Crumble and the Chocolate Peanut Butter slices. We happened in during happy hour, so the discount slices were huge and a great value. The service was great. We will certainly be back!

Best pie place in 2 states! Have yet to find a better pie place in Texas and always have to make a trip when in OK bc they are unlike any other! The staff works their little booties off especially around the holidays for their customers making thousands of pies during November and beyond! I am continually impressed with the staff’s customer service and quality of each and every pie! They definitely have a pie for everyone- the Drunken Turtle is my absolute fave!! The price point and size of their slices and pies is pretty perfect as well- could not ask for more.

On Pi Day, there was a consistent line out the door, and yet the staff was incredibly friendly, took their time with each customer while still maintaining a steady pace, and acted as though my friends and I were the only customers in the room. Having worked in food service on packed out days, I understand just how stressful it can be sometimes, and these people really showed how it should be done! Not to mention the pie was INCREDIBLE and they had free coffee for those waiting in line! Just an all around amazing experience for me and my companions!!!

The line was nearly out the door when we arrived and was out the door when we left. I expected to be blown away but wasn't. We shared a piece of Kentucky Bourbon, warmed with whipped cream. The cream was fantastic, but the pie was only okay. Maybe the other ones are better (the s'mores one looked tasty), but we'll have to find out another time. Staff was friendly and service was fast.

Cons: Bought a chicken pot pie today and it was...just meh, if even that. It lacked flavor :( I had high hopes for the chicken pot pie and had been looking forward to purchasing it from this place, but I was disappointed. Overall: I will be back for the dessert pies, but not the pot pies. Review Edit: Manager reached out to me and refunded the price of the pot pie. Very happy with their customer service!

This place is top notch for pie, and quiche! I love their cream pies, and their fruit pies. My favorite is probably the peanut butter chocolate pie. Definitely give this place a shot for dessert if you're in The Plaza. The only reason it gets 4 stars is because it's not open late enough to be a good place for dessert after dinner on the Plaza.

In visiting the area. ( Eating at Mexican Radio) Had to stop by this phenomenal pie spot! The staff makes the experience super awesome...the pie makes the experience awesome!!! Wow the place had some decadent choices.. I had to choose the pumpkin crumble. I WOULD ORDER THE WHOLE PIE NEXT TIME!!!! . I noticed they had take and bake premade/ to-go however which is a good thing. The friendly staff offered up smiles and answered questions if you had them. Az If you get to OKC plaza district or wherever else pie junkie is offered...you definitely need to eat it. You can thank me later. I was very pleased with the atmosphere and the service. The product has me wanting to visit more often. Thank you for the hospitality! Hubs and I take the girls to Pie Junkie for the occasional treat. The pies are fabulous, the service is prompt and friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the restrooms are clean. All wins in my book! The only thing we don't like about it is that the space is so small and the seating so limited that we can't always eat our pie there. However, this does encourage pie-in-hand exploration of the lovely Plaza District. :-)

Very delicious pies. Big fan of the bird dog. A little pricey. They serve coffee and milk as well. Always be sure to call ahead to make sure they have the pie you want. Have to order ahead of time if you want for a holiday or a specific pie for an event.

Bought a whole coconut cream pie for my husband's birthday. Disappointed with the crust, which was hard (instead of flaky) and tasteless. Also the custard filling didn't have much flavor. The best part was the coconut shavings on top, but wouldn't go back.

The last time I visited I wanted to pay cash, but was told by the clerk that the one dollar coin (legal tender)was not acceptable tender because the register didn’t have a dedicated slot in the drawer. I have not been back. The sweet and savory pies are great. 8/31/18 Went back today and the shop was very busy I was helped promptly and made to feel welcome. They have a solid selection of regulars (the drunken turtle is decadent, and the peanut butter pie is hands down the best I've ever had) plus rotating seasonal selections and specials. My biggest request would be for later weekday hours, and on the weekends they could definitely get the late-night crowd if they were open past 9. If you're craving some outside operating hours, though, they supply places throughout the OKC area with desserts, so you have a second chance ;)

What a great place to blow a diet to smithereens!! Loaded with so many possible pie combinations you just know you'll be back for another visit, Pie Junkie is a great finish for an evening. My family tried the S'mores Pie, Apple Crumble Pie, Blackberry Crumble Pie, and French Silk pie. Each drew raves. The Apple Crumble featured perfectly cooked apples and a delicious crunch/crumb topping also found on the Blackberry offering. The French Silk was beyond smooth, and the S'mores tasted like it had actual lightly scorched marshmallows. Prices by the slice range from $4 to $4.50, with coffee, milk and other typical beverages available (although I thought the $1.88 was a bit much for a small cup of milk we were given). This is a great place, and when you visit, don't be surprised if there's a line!

They're still open doing curbside service during COVID-19 and probably some of the best practices for keeping you safe. Order and pay by phone and then they drop it in your back passenger window. We got the bake at home hashbrown casserole and a couple slices of pie. All of it was as delicious as ever and we struggled to save leftovers. They're still running out of slices later in the day, so order early.

A Thanksgiving with the Pie Junkies Pies find a home on nearly every surface of the tiny two-table restaurant. As Pie Junkie prepared to open its doors Wednesday morning for the greatest mad dash for pumpkin, pecan and apple the northwest Oklahoma City business has ever seen, so ended one hectic, but delicious week of prep for the people responsible for making many families’ Thanksgiving dessert. “It’s a ton of work and we are exhausted at the end,” general manager Emily Hummel said earlier this week as she made her way to her laptop to mark off another completed order. “But knowing that we helped make some families’ Thanksgiving a little easier and a little sweeter really makes it worthwhile.” Despite its small size, Pie Junkie, located in the Plaza District, isn’t too difficult to find. Just look for the glass storefront with large black and white letters offering a simple, straightforward command. “Eat. More. Pie.” The origins of pie are ancient and unsettled. First made by Romans, who may have picked it up from Greeks in the 14th century, pie came to America with English settlers. The early colonists cooked their pies in long narrow pans and called the crust “coffins.” This all according to the American Pie Council. As pie evolved, it became known as “the most traditional American dessert,” becoming a feature at nearly every holiday, from Thanksgiving to the Fourth of July, according to the council. It’s estimated that more than 50 million pies will be eaten this Thanksgiving. At Pie Junkie, “pie week” is daunting, but pretty straightforward. When they began accepting Thanksgiving pre-orders in early November, the shop was flooded with requests and had to stop after three days. They ended up capping the number of orders at around 1,200 pies. The recipes required 2,446 eggs and 338 pounds of butter to make the more than 11 different kinds of pie. To get through it all, Pie Junkie employees break down the pie-making process into parts. Friday and Saturday is ingredient prep day. Sunday is for crust making. Monday, the pies are filled. Tuesday, they’re popped into the oven. Wednesday, they box ’em up and ship ’em out. Shop co-owners Darcy Schein and Leslie Coale-Mossman say the roots of the business started humbly, baking a few pies and other goods in the basement of a church and then selling them in a few local restaurants. This week, the two watched over the store’s precision-like operation. While Schein made sure there were no last-minute order disasters, Coale-Mossman had her palms “knead-deep” in pie pastry, making crusts. She wrapped the thin layer of pastry into a tin pie plate, then, with a series of pinches, almost effortlessly shaped the crust into an elegant pattern. “The crust is like a fingerprint,’’ Coale-Mossman said. “I could probably tell you which employee made your pie just by looking at the crust.” Hummel, the store general manager, thinks that besides turkey, pie is the staple feature of Thanksgiving. “We just take such pride in providing people this part of their holiday,” she said. “When people say their pie was amazing or that it reminded them of their grandmother’s pie, or when a grandmother says she loves a pie. “It’s just an incredible feeling like we did a job well-done.”

Upon entering this small business tucked in the Paseo Arts District, you are greeted by the friendly and informative staff members of Pie Junkie. At around $4 a piece, you are given a vast variety of options of pies from Macadamia Crusted Key Lie Pie to Banana Foster Cream Pie (which we both had). There's also a few fridges where you can take home some pies to bake or eat in the comfort of su casa. Husband and I came down here before heading to a show and it was an excellent choice!

This is a lovely little pie place in the Plaza District. The employees are a joy, and the pies absolutely wonderful! The crust is light and airy and very tasty. This is a definite YES all the way!!!

Lots of variety and pies are fresh. Shop is really small and is too crowded. There is almost no parking nearby so it's a pain driving there but would be fine if you walked to the shop.
