First time experiencing and it truly felt like a step back in time where all the locals go. Nothing new of fancy about the interior whatsoever, but it felts homey. Line moves very fast with a large selection of pastries. Also I noticed how CHEAP their prices were compared to other bakeries.

Perfect, as usual Shown is the Italian Cream cake. The staff is wonderful, the doughnuts melt in your mouth, the state fair cinnamon rolls are to DIE for! I haven’t found anything I didn’t like.

Best donuts I’ve ever had in my life! I’m visiting from Minneapolis where the donut scene is honestly lackluster. These donuts were outstanding— fluffy, moist, flavorful, and fresh. We tried the applesauce donut, chocolate cake donut, small apple fritter, and strawberry frosted glazed donut. Each donut was a masterpiece. The applesauce donut was quite literally the best donut I’ve ever had. The donuts are also super affordable. Wow, what a memorable experience! If we weren’t flying back to Minneapolis today, we would come here for donuts every day!

They greet you when you first walk in , which is very nice I notice all employees smiling and its a very clean place. The staff is so nice and let me tell u on the choices of donuts. They have so many varieties to choose from. They are so delicious and honestly I have found my bakery and will continue to drive from Edmond just to come here. They are so delicious, and yummy. Browns was the spot,..back in the late 90's early 2000. it had endless varities of cakes, cookies, donuts, fresh breads & bagels. Lets not forget seasonal goodies like house made fruit cakes and holiday pies for the ordering. Shoot, they even had some good l'il lunch special. Man,..let me tell ya. When you walked in, you got the impression that that place ran like a well oiled machine....So what happened?..When did they stop all that. I miss their individual cheesecakes. They were the bees knees.

I've only have the donuts here so I can't speak for everything that they make but the donuts are okay. Really nice if the default was to heat them up before they served you them cold but that's partially on me you should probably go there early so that you get them hot. If you're getting them to go that's probably better as the restroom it's kind of sketchy in the place overall is kind of sketchy. Definitely not the best donuts in town but they're okay.

We went to get kolaches, bread, and red velvet cake. Although Brown's Bakery has been an anchor of OKC since 1946, I think they have seen they're better day. They didnt have any bread, they did have a few kolaches, and the Red Velvet Cake had to be special ordered, and would be more than 50 bucks. We could buy six Red Velvet Cupcakes which would be several days old for 25 bucks. Very disappointed, and won't be back.

Brown's has been a staple of my OKC since I first moved here 15 years ago. Kolaches and cheesecake are always a do. Get a monster cookie at Halloween, a King Cake for Mardi Gras, and order a dozen iced sugar cookies for birthdays. You always feel like you are part of the family at Brown's!

I love Browns Bakery and I’m a frequent customer. I get the sausage rolls often to take to my business contacts, and tip well. I also bring my kids for doughnuts which are good. THE CHOCOLATE MILK IS ALWAYS PAST DATE OR NEAR PAST DATE AND THEY OVERCHARGE FOR BAD MILK. This has happened multiple times. Please figure this out as it’s been this way for years.

As someone visiting OKC from out of town, Brown's Bakery is an unassuming bakery I didn't know anything about and sure doesn't have the sheen and glimmer of the donut shops I'm used to in larger cities. Yet I had a feeling in my gut that I had to go. Throughout the long weekend my partner and I were here, I advocated for trying to fit it into the schedule. We decided on getting donuts for the last day right before the airport. My fav donuts, pink frosted with sprinkles and double chocolate cake, were very well executed and the best iteration of either I've had in years. My partner's picks, however, were the showstoppers: apple fritter and the supreme apple sauce donut! Unbelievable flavor, moisture, texture and balance of sweetness. I wouldn't be surprised if I dream of the apple sauce donut for a long time to come

Went by Browns based on a recommendation. I tried the Applesauce donut (upon hearing it's the best donut ever) and the Chocolate Bavarian Creme donut (because these are my favorite). Honestly the Applesauce donut far surpassed my love for the Chocolate Bavarian. The glaze on the outside has a nice sugary crunch to it while the inside is cakey and moist. It is the best donut I have ever had.

They focus on the quality of their product, have a good selection and keep good care of their historic property. Prices are reasonable. The icing is probably my favorite right up with Krispy Kreme, not sure what they do but it stands out for sure. Red velvet is the best. Come visit this gem of OKC history.

I got to try some donuts from Brown's bakery. 75 years of excellence is definitely worth being written on the box when they give it to you. I had a raspberry Bismarck and chocolate icing topped Bavarian cream filled. The texture of the pastry was amazing and the toppings and fillings were great in taste without seeming artificial. Great work.

Great variety of baked goods. Staff is friendly. Offered a sample doughnut hole. Prices are reasonable and not like the other "boutique" doughnut shops. They still offer self-serve coffee and plenty of seating to enjoy your morning treat.

Yummy! Just wanted a bit of sweetness was not disappointed. I had a snickerdoodle and sugar cookie (preferred the snickerdoodle) but they were both good. Had a piece, which is definitely enough for 2 or even 3...the icing and cake in perfect proportion. No icecream needed it was super moist. Next sweet tooth I'll be going back for more.

Exceptional donuts! As a bonus they also have a good variety of muffins, pastries and other bakes goods. If you are going to go, I would try and get there before 1030 because by that times it is slim picken. That is the true sign of a good donut store, when they sell out before noon.

I have had donuts from Brown's before, and found myself by the bakery, so I decided to go inside to pick out my own. One customer left smiling as I was entering, so I expected that it would be a grand first-time visit. There were quite a few employees with one sweeping and loudly complaining about how she hates people. Then corrected it to say "I hate stupid people." and after she noticed me, she continued to complain about school. However, the young lady that waited on me was friendly. The donuts I chose were the only ones that looked good to me out of the selection, but they weren't anything exceptional. I ate one and gave the rest away. I don't think I'll be back for the gossip about customers when they leave nor the baked goods. I think I'll stick to Hurts Donuts. I do appreciate the other staff that kept their good attitudes towards their guests.

We stop in Browns at least three times a week! They are probably the best donut shop I've ever had. I often buy donuts for people out of town and take them to them because I love Brown so much... We have had numerous birthday cakes made rounds and can honestly say "that is the best cake ever!" Everybody seems to be happy even though they are having to run around to get people in and out so there's no line. I would definitely try stopping in sometime and getting some of their donuts or even their cupcakes. Once you have a cupcake you'll understand how amazing the cakes are.

Brown's is awesome. I've been picking up donuts for work here for about a year straight, every week. Service is good, they try real hard to get people moved through since there is usually a line. Donuts are awesome. Consistent. I love the double chocolate that you can get on Fridays. The day-olds are a good deal.

This place is in Oklahoma City institution for a very good reason. I have never had a bad donut or pastry here. The staff are always friendly and don't mind if you take a couple of extra minutes picking out every thing that you want. Next step, I need to try some of the sandwiches. Also a good note is that, despite being in the heart of downtown, the parking here is plentiful and free.

Stop in for baked goods, cakes and wedding cakes. Browns Bakery is older than me.....great old established bakery here in OKC. They will bring a bit of heaven and are sure to warm your heart. At least 3 he stations that I know of that work in the bakery. I have enjoyed this bakery since I was very little and my mother bought treats for the family there every Saturday morning. Wonderful!!!

My daughter and I did a donut quest and their cake donut and kolache are hands down the best. The yeast donuts came close. The have BFD(big fat donut). This thing is huge and fun to eat. They also have lots of other bakery and items and are a locally owned family business for many years. Personally, I like grabbing a few kolaches and eating them while waiting in line at Waffle Champion. Who wants to hangry?

Brown's Bakery is a 5 star bakery. They make the absolute best cakes in the OKC metro area. Most recently they made my mom's 95th birthday cakes and they were absolutely beautiful & very tasty. Everyone kept asking where we got the cake. When I said Brown"s I got the familiar nod. You cannot beat their white cake with buttercream! We also got donuts to eat while we were setting up for the surprise party. Yummy! Ignore any review that gives them less than 5 stars. If you grew up in OKC, you know about this bakery. Great baked goods & great quality.
