Reviews of Baked In Brooklyn
You can smell the fresh baked bread, bagels and pastry few blocks away.
Cool spot to grab a coffee and bite.
I visited on my way to the cemetery across the street.
The quality of the food and drinks are average though.
Aaaah! That is what I am talking about! Oh, the aroma of fresh baked bread, delicious sandwiches, salads, pastries, tea and coffee. Man! I would live right across the street except that there’s a cemetery right across the street!! I think my favorite thing was sitting outside the shop in the glorious autumn sun and watching people go by while sipping my coffee.
Whenever I get the chance to stop by, I always get the strawberry thumbprint cookies. They’re super soft, buttery and addictive. And along with some fresh ciabatta bread.
We’ve ordered chocolate cake and Oreo cake before. I’d personally get the Oreo cake again. It’s the right amount of everything. The texture, the moistness, sweetness.
Staff is pretty chill and friendly. The line setup can be a bit confusing.
Is nice bakery the Bread is good Quality, but the staff are a bit slow, especially when is not much people inside.
This is Update ( after 5 Months From the First review) Staff Really slow to attend customer , also they distracted, not focused on customers , special in the morning
Mmm😌, I'm so glad I found this place 🤗 kept walking by & was smelling a lot of bread & butter but couldn't place it. As soon as I walked in everything looked tempting. I decided to try the double fudge chocolate Walnut cookie & got some Greek flatbread which I appreciate, was reasonably priced 💯 Best choice indeeed 🙌🏾. I'm not a chocolate fan so I like that it was a lot of walnuts to balance out all the chocolate. It was so good. Taste even better if you warm it up a little 🤤 the staff was friendly. Even came back the next day; today (9/23/22) to get 6 more to go. Will deff be back to try other things.
Must do for breakfast or sweet. Prices great, brisk business.
Place is clean and REALLY GOOD baked goods.
I use the pita bread to make mini pizza - taste great
Donuts are large and fresh
Had a bacon, egg & cheese this morning and it was one of the best I had in the area
I’m here 2-3 times a week, you should be also.
This place is amazing. I got a ham egg and cheese and it was SO delicious and SO cheap! $4.75! I was blown away. Plus the bread was incredible! So doughy and fresh. I’d never had a roll that so good. The pastries also looked delicious. Definitely going back for a bagel!
Plenty of fresh baked goods. Large baguette for $2.50. Not bad price. Ciabtta and other type of bread and french pastry. Amazing selection. Friendly staff too.
Stopped here for hot chocolate on a chilly December evening after exploring nearby Greenwood Cemetary. The Hot Chocolate was so good. Made from scratch with real milk. Highly recommended.
The egg & cheese on ciabatta was phenomenal.
Deliciously fresh baked goods and a great cappuccino.
The food and baked goods are fresh, the prices are reasonable, and did I mention that the food is good 😅 Really, this place is a hidden gem over in Greenwood for breakfast, lunch, and dinner rolls with whatever you're making in the evening. …
They make all their baked goods onsite, and for some, like breadsticks and pita chips, they ship nationwide.
We frequently buy the pita (many varieties), breadsticks, pita chips (many flavors of both), and fresh bread. My favorite is the cranberry nut bread. The coffee is super popular here, but I've never tried it.
This place always has a line frequently out the door. If you want bread sliced, ask the cashier. It takes about 5 minutes to slice it. Lines take 10 to 20 minutes frequently.
Seating is available outdoors. Parking tends to be relatively easy.
Bread and pastries selection just incredible, staff are pretty friendly and coffee are unexpectedly good. Try to get early, later the day some of the pastries might be sold out. But basically, that bakery good stop in Brooklyn in general.
Excellent fresh bakery factory. We stop by often for the assorted cupcakes, the coffee cake, croissants, cakes for special occasions, sandwiches, the bread loafs and even the coffee, which is much better than I expected. All straight out of the oven daily. Definitely one of the finer bakeries in Greenwood. A must try! We lived in this neighborhood for 50+ years and this Bakery is one of the best things that happened to this neighborhood. Stop by sometime, you won't be disappointed
Cranberry loaf is it . Order it ahead of time cause it gets sold out immediately. I love the coffee and free pastry special . I come here all the time .
Generous free pastry with latte or cappuccino. Nice airy space baked on site. Pretty basic American for French pastries (croissant not very flaky etc) but freshly made. Muffin was good. Quite large. Friendly staff.
Stopped in here after visiting greenwood cemetery and ordered a grilled cheese with tomato. It was very good the bread as you would expect and hope was fresh and the cheese was perfect with the tomato. The line was long but moved quickly I would go again
I asked what two desserts they did best, the server said cookies and muffins so I tried a blueberry muffin and a chocolate chip cookie. I liked each slightly more than store-bought, the muffin more-so.
Limited but good bread selection. Its a bread factory and bakes a small amount of 6-10 different types of bread. Staff not the most knowledgeable or friendly. I think the retail store is staffed with production line people. I asked about one loaf which was clearly a hand shaped or hand crafted lpaf and the person said it's white bread. The staff seems more interested in talking to each other and friends. If you ask questions I usually got a curt response. I get the sourdough and cranberry raisib nut loaf. Both very good.
The Italian bread that comes three in a bag is so soft and delicious. I take two buses to come to your bakery how early do I have to get there to get the muffins twice I went and you guys had run out of them
Very decadent pastries and bread assortments! Decor is very modern and clean looking. The factory for Baked in Brooklyn is right behind the cashier so you can see the magic right in front of you. Amazing little bakery!
Baked In Brooklyn serves fresh tasty food daily! Though it's busy in the morning the employees efficiently produce your order.
Made a quick stop here to pick up a few stuff. I'm in love with the hanging baskets of baked goods. Service was great.
Awesome place! Huge selection of bread and pastries for an affordable price. Delicious coffee and always fresh food.
Reviewing as sit in customer, Dope as bread and bagels, good coffee, sandwiches are not bad but a bit much for the portions and location, very few seating, very nice staff. Bread is top notch though.
I passed by multiple times wanting to go in. The smell is amazing and I love bakeries. I walked a good 30min to get here and it was worth it! I went during morning rush hour but the line moved fast. Coffee is self serve and the bakery is done right on the premise! The breads are definitely what they are well known for. I got a sausage egg and cheese on a ciabatta roll. The bread was so soft on the inside crunchy outside. I also got a spinach ricotta danish. It was flaky yet didn’t fall apart which was amazing. I wasn’t a fan of the filling though. It was a tad bland. I also had to get the donut. It’s huge and looks like dough donut but plumper(?). The texture was a lot more yeasty/ soft than doughs which I liked. Flavor wise I would say doughs might be better. I got the white frosted sprinkles. Maybe if I tried a different flavor my experience would be different. But overall if you are getting any bread or breakfast sandwiches this is the spot!
P.s. seating is very limited. Mostly bar stool style seating and only 1 table for 2 indoors. A few outdoor seatings for 2 outside
My favorite bakery in Brooklyn. The baked goods here were amazing. Very good croissants and coffee.
I like this bakery! Here delicious food. I ordered lunch a quite frequently. My coworker and I ordered a lunch yesterday, but my toast was missing in package after receiving delivery! When we called to customer services they advised us to make a new oder. That means I need wait again my lunch, pay again for delivery and service fee! I understand everything but I have a medical diet and I need to take a food in time. I think this is inappropriate attitude to the customer! It was not my fault with the order.
Lots of great stuff, too hard to pick anything. You would want everything you see. It smells delicious
It's not the best pastries that I've had but it's alright. The bread making facility is pretty cool though.
Tourist from Nigeria and visited Baked in Brooklyn to pick up a small chocolate cake for my borthday and let me testify: that was a very yummy, decadent chocolate cake (we dressed it up a bit). Friendly service too, so definitely recommend💯 …
I love the bacon, egg and cheese bagels and that everything is made in house
Greta pastries & bread. Perfect spot to grab breakfast or lunch with bar at window and outdoor seating. Sandwiches and bagels for eat in could use some work - recently ordered a bagel with cream cheese, and it arrived with minimal amount of cream cheese.
This place never fails. The bagels are super fresh, the food is always delicious and everything is affordable! I wish they carried oatmilk but that’s my only qualm. Definitely check it out if you’re in the area.
Always tasty fresh breads, quick service, a lot of smiles!
The whole block smells wonderful from this bakery! Nor sure I would want to stay close by as I'll feel hungry all the time. Anyway, there's quite a lot of variety of bread and rolls. They currently have a buy a large latte or cuppacino and get a pastry free. Lots of pumpkin flavor pastry right now. The prices are so reasonable too! $1.25 for a bag of 8 pumpernickel rolls. I usually get 2 bag of rolls, a big loaf of bread, a large drink with free pastry for $10!
Everyone needs to try their avocado toast! It is by far one of the best ones I’ve had in forever. My boyfriend gets their egg and cream cheese bagels almost every day! So good!
Great bakery, great coffee, great staff, pastries could be a bit fresher
Great fresh bread, many types of bread, great prices for amazing hot sandwiches for breakfast/lunch, pretty good coffee options for a place that is not a cafe. Simply affordable and I leave every time happy with my purchase.
I enjoy a good walk here just for bread. I always stock up on the various kinds of ciabatta rolls for sandwiches and get a crusty bread to have around. I’m always amazed at how well priced everything is and love how you can see their production line. Various sandwiches to order, pastries, desserts, drinks and coffees as well. Perfect spot to hit up before going to Greenwood Cemetery!
Some of the baked goods feel pretty synthetic and mass produced ( as you can see the factory) but the sandwiches are good. Needs condiments available.
Let’s just say we are very frequent customers. The breakfast is amazing. We love the bacon and egg and cheese sandwich and the wraps. They have some great donuts as well (must try the Oreo). They also have a good selection of fresh bread, pastries and cakes. The pricing isn’t too bad. When we go we know we will spend a fairly good amount for 4 people. They have a window where they allow you to see the baking process which my daughter like to go and see. Great for killing time while we wait.
Fantastic freshly-baked-on-site bread and bagels, made-to-order deli sandwiches, and house-made pita chips!!! Top notch. Haven’t tried the coffee, but it looks great.
I don't frequent here enough as I should, great delicious freshness is guaranteed every time I have set foot in here. I really should come here often. My only concern is that my sweet tooth will go off the chain due to the options available.
Also, for those who aren't in this neck of Brooklyn. You can always check out this sweet bakery before hitting the Greenwood Federal Park right across the street. So grab your coffee or tea along with baked yummies then go checkout some of NYC and United States history. A win-win for all!
Lovely fresh bread at great prices, all the pastries are great too! Try the cinnamon sticky bun with pecans if you have a sweet tooth. The multigrain, black seeded rye and sourdough loaves are my go-to bread choices. Love watching the bakers behind the glass making all the products right there!
This store is right across the street from Greenwood Cemetery on 5th Avenue. They make some of the best bread you will ever have. The cinnamon Raisin bread is really good. Their sandwich bread tastes great toasted and otherwise. Good prices and open Sundays for coffee and pastries. They also make Aladdin Pita.
It smells incredible nearby here but the pastries were disappointing. Maybe the other things on the menu are better
Like I said I'm an older generation in Brooklyn I'm just getting familiar with them yeah probably have been around for a while. I don't see anything special about them I could just go to a neighborhood Bodega and get what they have for cheaper.
Food is always excellent and the staff is very helpful. Also fun to see things behind the scenes
Hard to review this place as it will be a five star place for some and less than that for others. The style of bread and pastries here is very old school NY and very good if that is what you are after. If you are looking for something along the lines of a French style croissant (like Couslon Patisserie) or bread similar to bakeries like Amy's Bread in Brooklyn Heights or Winner in Park Slope then this is very different. I have only tried the croissant and the sourdough round (which is kind of like if sourdough and NYC Italian bakery bread had a baby) so that's what I'm going off of. Personally I'd give the croissant a miss. The sourdough was nice - very dense / heavy with a cake-like texture. It made excellent toasted sandwich bread - not too many holes due to that dense texture and the very round shape means that you don't have super small slices at the ends.
Great bakery and place to get a quick breakfast or lunch. I had the greek egg white omlet. Tasty and filling. Ice capaccino was very good as were their pastry. We brought bread to take home. And it has been great too.
That was the first time I visited the famous Baked In Brooklyn. I knew the name for a long time because I love their Pita bread chips, and bread sticks. I have those for a long time. But the bakery itself hosts as a cafe. You get a variety of pastries, and coffee, of course. And you can buy fresh daily made bread. I bought rye sourdough and it's been over three weeks and I put it in the fridge. It's still good, to my astonishment. I like it with bread and soft cheese, or just with jam. The bakery is just opposite Greenwood Cemetery. So, it has some kinda somber and nostalgic feel to it. Nevertheless, it's a great place to have a cup of coffee and enjoy the view if you are that kind of person who like mellowness
Delicious fresh baked breads, a wide variety of freshly made yummy treats (including donuts large enough for a horse) and tasty coffee are all waiting for you here. Want a great breakfast sandwich on fresh bread? Come on down. And the lunch offerings look very good, I've just never tried any...yet.
And while you're waiting, you can look through the large windows and see the bakers and their cool machines in action.
Delicious. Love that they bake their goods on sight and you can see it. Excellent for a bite to eat. Nothing like a freshly baked piece of bread. FREE pastry w/ A large drink. Birthday cakes etc.
Among the cool things about living in NYC is that you can get Baked in Brooklyn goods in the supermarket. Now, if you live in south Brooklyn you can get Baked in Brooklyn goods fresh off the oven.
This place wen you walk in gives your that amazing warm bread smell! Delicious!! They are a bit pricey but worth the drive to grab bagels or a sandwich with bagel, toast etc....There line moves fast and everything fresh Oh yes I love the open cupcake making in the bakery behind thw scene!!!
The commercial bakery that makes those delicious addictive pita chips and Aladdin Pita in your grocery aisle operates this retail shop. You can smell the bread baking blocks away. The prices are reasonable. I stop in weekly for a well baked loaf. They will slice if requested. The croissants are “fine”, but try their doughnuts or cakes. Such a great neighborhood spot!
The Best Bread, Croissants, Cake, Coffee and on and on. Since the Pandemic I started going and it's my home away from home. The employees are Fabulous with Excellent Customer Service. They are my Friends and I Thank them each time for being open and serving the Community.
Love Baked in Brooklyn, so many reasons why !! Their Italian bread is absolutely amazing, they always have samples out of different items they sell for you to try. Most of the time I wind up buying whatever it is that is out to sample, just cannot help it !! During the holidays it's so convenient to walk in there & purchase several of their ready made trays of cookies, muffins etc.. If you love baked goods you must stop in here to sample & trust me you will walk out with something !! Oh you must try their cinnamon roll, it is beyond amazing !!!! The staff? So, so nice as well !
One of the better fresh baked goods store in Brooklyn. Lots of bread on the shelves in the morning, coffee is great. The whole wheat baguette is real whole wheat throughout the loaf.
This place is great, and for bread and stuff to take home it’s pretty affordable. One of the cashiers can be a little rude and there are sometimes kids running around unsupervised in the small space (which of course is not the bakery’s fault but notable if you’re trying to keep 6ft apart) but honestly still worth it for the fresh bread and pastries. Plus the people in the back doing the baking always seem very nice
Best coffee beans for their lattes. Never liked iced drinks but I love their iced latte. I am surprised how would they get anything less than 5 stars!!
Best bakery I’ve been to hands down. The best bread here, donuts are great too. Coffee here and other food items. Located near a beautiful graveyard worth taking a stroll through. Outdoor and indoor seating available. There’s also a cool glass wal where you can see the bakery itself and the workers there!
Delicious pastries and my cappuccino was delicious! Though the cashier was rushing us to get our order. Items are not easily displayed because of Covid and we felt rush. Otherwise I do recommend going there
Great fresh bread at a good price! Hard to bake my own loaves at home when I can just walk over and get a better product anyway..! Definitely recommended. Good coffee too.
A great variety of fresh bread. Go in the morning and the pastries and baguettes are still warmed coming out of the oven.
Small spot with limited seating and you have to wait a while for food because of how busy they are most weekend mornings, but the quality of the food and the service earned this place 5 in my book. A lot of great options on the menu, but I specifically have to call out how good their bacon, egg and cheese on an everything wheat bagel is. Such a simple sandwich, but the quality of the ingredients here is top notch and makes a world of difference.
This is my favorite place to get bread in the neighborhood. They have numerous choices, and all of them are yummy. Since there are no preservatives, it doesn't last long when left at room temperature. Luckily, it freezes and the well. I also love the pita chips and snacks that they have. I haven't had many of the pastries. So far the only ones I'm really happy with are the home made Pop tarts. Some off the staff is friendly and helpful, but some seem like they would rather be anywhere else but at work.
This place is awesome. I stop by at least once or twice a week. Selection of bread is great, pastries are amazing, and the prices can't be beat. The doughnuts are the best in Brooklyn - better than Dough in my opinion. Everything I've tried has been really good.
My one criticism would be the line situation can get a little chaotic at peak times on the weekend. There's just no place for people to go while waiting for orders. The staff does their best to keep things moving, and it's never stopped me from going.
Overall great bakery with lots of options. This is the first place I bring people visiting from out of town, and it's always a hit.
This bakery is the spinoff of the original Aladdin Bakers, which is housed in the same building. You simply cannot purchase fresher and more delicious bread products in Brooklyn. The prices are quite reasonable and the quality of everything served and sold is outstanding. Highly recommended the breakfast sandwiches and coffees. And breads. And pastries.
Loooooove this place. Best bread at prices that bread should be: not costing you an arm and a leg for a loaf of bread.
I live outside of DC but this location has now become a must stop when I am in the neighborhood.
Tip: the bread freezes really well 😊 (allowing us to load up our supply)
Pastries and coffee served are also super delicious!!
Please come to the Washington DC area!!!!
The food quality is pretty good here. I would usually buy their bagels, but as of late they started food rationing. I used to be able to buy a dozen bagels, but now they've limited it to 1/2 a dozen. Not sure why they started limiting quantities, but luckily I found another great bakery that's close by.
Fresh bread everyday just blocks away from home. Yessah! The cakes are bit.dense. Staff seems really rushed or under pressure often. Coffee is great. Located just across the street from a bus stop and the iconic Greenwood cemetery
Amazing coconut macaroons!! Going to start trying their breakfast sandwiches and other breads soon. Nice storefront space too. If I'm in the area with a friend I'd definitely stop by for a bread and coffee.
It's a shame because This place has a lot of potential and really good bread! The walnut raisin rolls were GREAT! But they use a lot of cheap ingredients in their sweet offerings like canned cherry filling and ruin them. Also, their donuts were horrible. Totally bready and not delicious at all.
I do love watching their staff making their products.
Excellent fresh baked cakes, danishes & other treats. My fave is the Ruben Sandwich with a soy milk hot chocolate or the multiple cheese sandwich blended with tomato & toasted with butter on both sides. Soooooooo goooooood! Dont forget the coffee is great as well, you can't go wrong!
This is such a terrific place. I found out about it from my mother, and now I go there all the time. At first, I only bought one or two items, but now I've expanded to more. My favorite item is still those whole wheat cubes of bread that they have with the cranberries inside. They're addicting! I also like their flavored coffee, the loaves of raisin & cranberry bread, and a particular drink called Mash. I like this place so much that i look for opportunities to go there either before or after work. The place looks clean & modern. It can get packed at times, and there's some metered parking in front. It's directly across that huge cemetery, Greenwood. I hope you get the chance to go by one day soon.
Fantastic bakery!!!
This place is extraordinary clean, emacuate -in fact. The kitchen and bakery are behind glass partitions, visible to customers and very well lit.
The baked goods are soooooo good!
Breakfast and lunch sandwiches are equally as good, they are made to order, prepared fresh and quickly. Eat in -very comfortable- or take out.
You will return.
Affordable, great quality for coffee and donuts, muffin, pastry and even big dark rye bread! If you like to have a good bread with good price, this is the place to go 👍 …
Everything here is yummy for sure .
I had the BEST, MOIST slice of chocolate cake EVER. No one is paying me on this testimonial, it was the BEST ever. I'll be back to get a whole chocokate cake next time. 100 Stars 5 is not enough.
Stoped by here after the Greenwood Cemetery. Tried their almond croissant and almost died...cause it was so heavenly. It wasn’t overly sweet like most others I’ve had. Perfect balance of sweet and savory. Oh so flakey (check paper bag to see if a croissant has magically appeared)
Large bakery off 5th ave. You can smell the fresh baked breads from a mile away. Nicely organized and a new modern showroom in the front. Go for the sourdough baguette. Crusty and soft interior with the distinct sourdough flavor. Great service and super friendly.
Drip coffee is so great! Highly recommended!
Who doesn't love fresh bread!?!? Come here and try it! Great selection, affordable, and they make breakfast sandwiches! Kudos to the entire staff here!
Go to place for fresh and delicious breads and pastries, not to mention a steady supply of strong freshly brewed coffee. As a frequent visitor to Green-wood Cemetery I never fail to stop by Baked in Brooklyn. It is a clean cheerful establishment which takes great pride in its products, which you can plainly see through the large glass windows overlooking the bread making facilities of Aladdin bakery.
**Ordered takeout during COVID pandemic
Service
*Fast
Food/drink
*Bib sandwich (egg whites, cheddar cheese, sausage patty, and chipotle sauce on whole wheat wrap) - good
*Oreo brownie - good
*Sour cream & onion pita chips - no good
I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it!! The raisin bread is incredible. The doughnuts are so huge and good!! I'm glad I dropped in.
I love this place, its like a hidden treasure! Iced sprinkled donut- So. Good. My only wish is that they servered food later than 2pm on Sunday! (you can still get bakery items) I'm dying to try alvocado toast and egg white omelet! The buy a latte (might be any coffee, i always get a latte) and get a free baked good deal is awesome.
Amazing breads at a great price, good options on pastries, great deal on the free pastry with an order of Latte or Cappuccino. Reall nice staffs. I wish they would add Oat milk and almond milk to their options though.
Dude! This places donuts are dank dank dank like life changing dank. Like try them at your peril. Hey! If you like Dunkin d dont go here. You'll stroke, world shattering bakery. Seriously 100 stars. A thousand. And they have coffee and a very tiny outdoor eating area and a view into the larger operation next door.
Pretty cool place. Kids love it. Neither have been able to finish a donut yet. Suckers are huge and comparably cheap.
Quality wise you cannot go wrong, everything is tasty and fresh.
As a famous place, it's getting crowded and some times you have to be patient to get your order ready if you are getting something that needs preparation on the spot.
Best breakfast spot in the area. Everything is made fresh that day. Staff is super friendly and welcoming.
I've come here quite a few times over the course of the past 7 years or so and, in general, this is a pretty solid bakery. Its proximity to Greenwood makes it the place to go for a snack before/after cemetery hike, and while it's a little out of the way for me to get bread on a more frequent basis, they are great with larger pre-orders. Sandwiches are tasty and they have a nice, small offering of charcuterie if you're in the mood for that.
But...the coffee is only functional at best...
Really a fan of their rosemary bread, crackers and prices. Some chairs are now available outdoors for seating during covid. Would recommend if you are visiting the cemetery. Credit cards are accepted to my awareness
The smell of fresh bread filled the air all around the bakery in the morning so we had to stop in. Also it has been recommended to us. Free pastry with coffee. All yum.
Best bread in Brooklyn. Also my go to place for a fresh bagel and/or breakfast sandwich. They also have amazing pastries and you get a free pastry with the purchase of a large coffee (hot or cold)
Amazing service thank you for the hot chocolate ❤️🔥 …
Great selection of fresh baked breads.
The lox and cream cheese on a bagel was amazing. The tomatoes added a extra bit of juiciness I didn’t know I needed.
Only really come here for bread but it's good bread. Worth the trip from Flatbush. Staff is friendly. Can't speak on the drinks because I really only get the bread. Pastries are also good but not mind blowing.
All their breads are amazingly soft. Recommend the breakfast sandwiches.. raisin cranberry sunflower seed bread.. the cinnamon buns... everything
The food is delicious and inexpensive, and is located right next to Green Wood Cemetery. Plus, they give you a free pastry with the purchase of a large coffee on the weekends. My girlfriend and I adore this place!
I love nothing more than taking a walk through Greenwood Cemetery and then eating one of their chocolate covered donuts which is about the size of my head. Delicious.
The bread is very fresh and you can literally SEE them make it. If you're in the mood for something sweet, they have a wide variety of baked goods. My personal favorite is the nutella cupcake!
Had an amazing raspberry filled donut with milk! It's really cool cause you can see the inside of the bakery with the staff making goods. The seating area is separated from the bakery with a glass wall.
Sandwich was tasty (Italian hero) but lacked meat.
If only their food tasted as great as it smells! The yeasty aroma can be smelled from blocks away and I'm always tempted on my runs up 5th. The bread itself isn't anything special, though, not are their sandwiches. Maybe next time it'll be better since I know there will be a next time since the smell beckons me.
Hands down the greatest donut I've ever had...I couldn't believe how good it was (I barely even care for donuts let alone have a sweet tooth) their cookies are also incredible (might even be the best cookie I ever had lol). I'm honestly impressed.
This place blew me out of the water with all the delicious treats they have presented, had some coffee with an exquisite treat. Will be back for more in the future.
They have fresh bagels and the flavors are well balanced. This one is mainly take-and-leave unless you like to receive the sun directly.
Absolutely lovely pasties and sandwiches.
I love this place. Every single baked good is amazing. And the coffee isn't bad. Staff is mostly friendly. Beware limited times for availability of some foods.
The servers are inviting and friendly. As a regular customer, the servers and cashiers anticipate your needs. The management also have an assortment of small delightful treats at the register to sample.
The yummiest best baked bread of all kind and donuts and cookies and fresh coffee and soooooo clean.the saff is on point with everything on there menus. Mmmmm love it love it love it
I would give 5 starts but they were missing a few items I wanted. So I'll give my final review after I go back. Otherwise, the things I got in this visit were delicious!
you can't beat freshly made bread. Reasonable prices, and friendly staff that add to an open atmosphere.
Great bakery. Breads and pasteries. Fresh sandwiches at breakfast and lunch. Free pastry with latte or cappuccino.
Wonderful, clean, fresh, organized & packed! You most likely will find a line! But everything is A-Okay….. a tad oh the high end of pricing, but again well worth it!
This place is heave for us. It makes our neighborhood smell so good! It's very clean, very friendly, fairly priced...I only wish they had a bigger section for seating down and enjoying the goodies.
They have a great selection of breads and baked goods for all needs, and everything is so fresh. I love that you can see into the back to watch them work and see where the “magic happens.”
Always fresh and delicious! Nice variety of sweets for the kids. You have to try the chicken avocado sandwich ❤️
Delicious sandwiches and baked goods. You know it's great when you see alot of police officers buying breakfast there
Food was very good. Service was a little slow and not very friendly...typical of NYC.
Every single thing they make is so delicious! A large latte comes with a free pastry and it’s absolutely the best deal in town
Delicious fresh made bread, bagels, and fresh squeezed OJ (and cookies and breakfest sandwiches though I'm vegan now so don't eat these anymore.) This place is great whether you live in sunset park or your visiting and want something yummy, if you live closeby you get the added bonus of the amazing bread smell in our neighborhood in the mornings.
Avoid the giant cinnamon bun. It look cute but it was bland af. Only the top frosting was worth it. But you know what is good. The almond croissant.
One of the Best Bakery in Town, The Bread overhere is Super Fresh. Nice and Good Personal customer service!!!!!
I just finished everything I got without taking a picture I'm sorry , I got cappuccino with soy milk and muffin with chocolate chips. So simple, but so fresh and delicious!!
Fresh bread baked on the premises and packed right in front of you! Whole wheat baguettes are excellent and cheese danishes are pretty good but pricy. There is a table of $1-$2 breads that vary from pullman loaves to wheat bagels that are a bargain. There are a few stools to sit and enjoy a cup of joe with your morning bagel.
Fresh bread and affordable, selection is no the biggest but freshness and cheap price will keep bring me back. Also great customer service.
Great fresh baked bread all day, even on weekends! Decent coffee too. Service is always quick and friendly.
We were looking for a loaf of Challah on a Saturday trip to Brooklyn and Queens. You'd be surprised how hard it is to find if you don't know your way around - and going on Saturday doesn't help. We settled on Baked in Brooklyn (not to be confused with pottery store of same name) mainly for location, availability, and the few reviews we read.
It appears to be part bakery for fresh items and part institutional bakery for bagged grocery store items. In other words, it isn't your conventional bakery.
Nevertheless, I'm glad we came. For $9.50, we got: a giant loaf of Challah, though unconventionally-shaped as a giant rectangle. (French toast anyone?); a chocolate-covered donut (which was really a bread rather than a pastry dough, but good); a fresh raisin bagel (which was quite tasty), a bag of four sourdough rolls (very impressive), bagels (more like grocery store bagels than the raisin one I ordered out of the bin) and pita bread.
And the ladies who worked the counter were very polite and helpful.
Expensive bakery with some goodies. From baguettes to chocolate filled croissants, you'll find many goodies in this bakery, but be prepared to pay. Note: no pork sold here so sausage and bacon will be beef or turkey.
They have the biggest cinnamon rolls and big donuts and muffins also pastries and Italian breads and bake goods.
Fresh bread to die for, warm and inviting atmosphere, I ordered a fresh baguette and blueberry Danish which were both delicious with great service on top. Definitely recommend
I really love how fresh the donuts. Now I can't eat at dunkin. Once I get a medium latte, you get a free pastry.
LOVE THEIR BREAD! Recently tried their sandwich and coffee and that was great at well. No complaints.
The bread is amazing being so fresh and the food is good but a tad pricey. I pastries are yummy and the coffee is so fresh.
