We visited tM breads and pastries on our last day in NOLA, before we headed to the airport. I was debating between here and another bakery nearby our hotel, and thank goodness I landed here! Immediately when we walked in, we were lulled in a trance by the smell of freshly-baked goods (sweet AND savory!). While we waited for some of the savory treats to finish baking in the oven (PLEASE try at least one of the savory pastries, the juice from the sausage in the sausage croissant just pointed to its freshness, the cheese just melted off from the croissant from both the ham&cheese and turkey&cheese croissants. Is this what heaven tastes like??), we also got to learn about Thomas, the cafe owner. Did you know that he went to the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) and also manned the desserts at the Ritz Carlton before opening up his own shop here?! The sweet desserts were so glorious, and not to mention the Iced Latte -- not too sweet, and the perfect mix of milk and coffee!! If I'm ever back in NOLA, I'll be sure to make this my first location of visit!

Great cafe in walking distance to some of the main attractions. The pastries were perfectly flaky and crisp. The coffee was great. I ordered a cold brew and my husband ordered a drip coffee. The drip coffee was extra hot, just the way we like it. Would definitely return when in the area.

Nice place for breakfast and lunch as well as bakery. Smoked chicken salad sandwich, herb roasted chicken salad entrees were tasty and well represented. Enjoyed pastries and bought some to take with us back to home. If you are tired of gumbo and jambalaya, visit tM for a lighter option. Will come back here if in New Orleans again. I was in town for work and decided to search for local bakeries to check out. I’m so thankful I came across this gem! I had the roasted turkey, spinach, avocado, bacon, and tomato sandwich. It was on a delicious crispy ciabatta bread with a perfect balance of ingredients! All the fresh ingredients paired well in perfect harmony. I also had the spinach, tomato, onion, and cheese pastry. I couldn’t stop eating it! I’ll admit I was sad it was all gone! I also had a really well iced chai latte! If you’re staying in the city, seek this place out!

I picked up a pumpkin pie and flourless olive oil cake for the Thanksgiving holiday. The pie was the best I’ve ever eaten, delicious blend of spices. We also had breakfast eating a variety of flakey croissants and pastries. I would visit this shop again and often.

Great coffee, lovely ambiance and a knockout bacon avocado tomato sandwich. Not all sandwiches are created equal and this one is PERFECTION. Warm bread with just the right amount of crust, delish avocado spread, fresh greens and tomato, and a dash of bacon-y goodness. *swoon*

We travel a lot been to Italy France England and across this country always trying the local bakeries. This is by far one of the best bakeries we have ever visited. Don't miss it if you're visiting Nola. And I should mention the service was beyond excellent they went out of their way as they were closing not only to provide us our bakery goods but to make us some lattes. This again as they were trying to close and go home. A big thank you to them

It's not to say I go here because two chick's is too busy some times, but it is how I found this place If you order bread it comes out arguably too hot to touch, which gives you plenty of time to bring it home and enhance your day Fantastic coffee too, and it's competing with bon ami and two chick's for a solid latte

Wonderful little place tucked away in the CBD. We ordered the Cajun Turkey sandwiches each with a different bread. The flavor was great and the heat built up over time. The chips had a sweet corn flavor and were very light. Bravo. Loved this place.

Minimalist pastries cafe with art for sale. I have to say I didn’t have high hope for the pastries when I first came in because 1) a lot of their pastries look like they are over coated with powdered sugar or glossed with sugar 2) tried the chocolate almond croissant and it’s ookay. But I went in the next morning for breakfast and order the roasted turkey sandwich and the hot dog croissant .. OH.MY. GOD. the hot dog croissant is soft and fluffy and the dog is tender with swirled of spicy sauce in it!! So darn delicious that I ordered One to go and came back the next day for another. U have to go there before noon otherwise that will be gone. Coffee is so so..as I’m a little particular with my caffeine intake. (Try spitfire or mammoth).

Fantastic pastries, sandwiches, and coffee! The owners are so kind and definitely care about their customers. I accidentally dropped my coffee after receiving it and the owner generously gave me a new one free of charge - and cleaned up my mess! Highly recommend the sandwiches and the croissant (so light and fluffy) - best in New Orleans!

Super cute minimalist atmosphere. Clean store and smiling, friendly staff mark the cherry on top of the delicious pastries. Recommend the croissants and vanilla latte. The croissant is the perfect combination of buttery and flaky while the latte isn't overwhelmingly bitter (unsweetened). Close the door behind you in the winter time!

Adorable place and the best chocolate croissant I have had for years. Fluffy and crispy, tasteful chocolate inside. I ran away from my hotel’s uninviting breakfast options and tM breads fit the bill perfectly. Strongly recommend.

great French almond & chocolate croissants. sandwiches also tasted great although on ciabatta (which is different from the baguette the sales lady mentioned), nevertheless the turkey & BALT were super. be aware of relatively late opening time, see Google.

This place is absolutely wonderful. I thought the Blueberry scones were the best thing I ever tasted until I tried the quiche... best quiche ever! I had never even heard of Monkey Bread, now I’m a huge fan. I’m not a baker but my guess is that part of the reason these baked goods are better than most, is that they are using quality ingredients. I’m very happy to have found this little jewel in the CBD.

Love the vibe and taste of croissants here. Feel like a local home made pastry shop with nice finish with some modern decorations. The staff also heat the pastry up for you! So it's warm and crispy. Highly recommend!

We wanted a French bakery and this was closest to our hotel. It did not disappoint! Delicious pastries and coffee, friendly service, and quick at that. We had a chocolate croissant, a savory ham and cheese croissant, and a strawberry cheese strudel. They were each fantastic, we will be back before we leave!

Excellent customer service. The croissants are as good as those in Europe. Coffee and Capuccino were really good too. Reasonably priced for the area. We went 2 days in a row. Went somewhere else the third day but wished we had instead gone back here!

This bakery is fabulous. It was right around the corner from my hotel, and unfortunately I only discovered it the day I left. The reason for only 4 stars was the lack of preparation. I got there right at seven when they open. They didn't have all the breakfast Sandwich that were on the menu. Another customer asked for bread, they didn't have any made and told him to come back at noon. He said he has been here at noon before, and there was no bread, he was told to try in the morning. That inconsistency can really hurt a restaurant. I had a egg, cheese croissant which was amazing. I also got a chocolate chip cookie, and some sort of chocolate brownie (that the bread customer highly recommended. Lol) yum!!

Wholey Moley! This ended up being our "happy accident" in NOLA as Bob Ross would say. Do not miss out on all of the deliciousness this place has to offer! Peaceful/simple decor and atmosphere is also a major plus. We went in hopes of trying the Cajun Turkey sandwich because it sounded amazing with the sweet and spicy balance. We went about an hour before they closed and were informed they were out of cajun turkey for the day and we ALMOST left but we decided to give the buffalo chicken sandwich a shot. My sister and I aren't fans of buffalo sauce but OMG we are still talking about this sandwich. We were picturing fried chicken but it's a chicken deli meat seasoned with buffalo seasoning and the flavors balanced so perfectly. Seriously the best sammy we've ever had. We were so impressed that we came back the next day for some pastries and to try the cajun turkey sandwich and it was also amazing. We apparently couldn't get enough because we came back a third time on our final day in NOLA and grabbed some coffee and pastries to go. My sister raved about her iced coffee being the best she had while we were there. Do not pass over this amazing little bakery.

Very sophisticated pastries, top notch bread. Former pastry chef from the Ritz so he's really got high standards. I had a great beet salad today. The space is really peaceful, it's a soft voices kind of place, you can actually think in here, it has great art. This place is a gem. I'm waiting for a bunch of loud mouths to come in and ruin it for me. Serious coffee too. It reminds me of France.

My family and I took sandwiches from tM to City Park for a picnic lunch the other day, and declared them one of our two best meals in NOLA.
