Fantastic quality of pastries, breads, and other baked goods. My favs are the incredible savory biscuits, the seasonal croissants, galettes, cinnamon rolls, morning buns, and decadent chocolate cake. Also offer seasonal flavors. Great variety. Great spot for breakfast sandwiches and croissants. Typically also has vegan cookies available.

We're a nontraditional couple so when we thought about the dessert we wanted for our wedding it ended up being nontraditional as well. We wanted to support a local bakery and Levee Baking Co. felt like the perfect fit. So we ordered a lemon cake, rye brownies, and coffee-glazed twists for our reception desserts and were not disappointed! All the desserts were absolutely spectacular and fairly priced, but the lemon cake was a major hit with all of our guests.

The service was great. The cashier was very nice and helpful. The pastries and bread were good and got us through the 10 miles of walking we did in New Orleans. I felt the bread and sandwiches were a bit salty, but this place is worth trying if you're in New Orleans area

Went looking for almond croissants, and Levee had the goods. Baked to perfection and right in front of you, this place has a clean, sleek vibe. Our pastries and mint tea were the perfect snack during a hot September stroll down Magazine St.

I've always loved this place. However, I'm disappointed that they seemed to change the carrot cake recipie. No more black sesame seeds. The old carrots cake was hands down the best I ever had and i would come in specifically for it. New one is good, but I wouldn't get it again.

Chocolate pistachio babka knot is amazing! Hope this ends up being a permanent menu item

My favorite bread and pastries in town. Makes me miss European bakeries a bit less. Everything is fresh, never overwhelmingly sweet (as so many American pastries tend to be), great crust. This place is such a great asset to the neighborhood.

Do you looove croissants? Do you adore bread? JUST GO!
Pastry obsessed French immigrant here -> THIS IS THE BEST PASTRIES IN TOWN!!
This is what a croissant and good bread is suppose to taste like. This bakery is in my top 5, favorite France located bakeries included.
And it’s a local small business and woman owned on top of that.
The space is bright and beautiful and literally everything I tried there was excellent, crispy, fluffy, with soft centers and dreamy.
“La Boulangerie” is cancelled. Just go try and you’ll see.
Love,
The annoying French who missed good bread and pastries until now.

The selections here are great, with a nice variety of solid options(including meat, veggie, and vegan). The counter staff acts aloof, plays too-cool-for-school; and they keep banker's hours, instead of bakers hours. Hence, the minus one star.

This little Gem is my Favorite Bakery in Nola. Just moved here, being European this is my Solace and helps with missing European Breads and Pastries. So glad I found you, it’s just like being back in France 🇫🇷. Love ❤️ & thanks .. …

My favorite bakery. Perfect pastries, coffee, and service!! Make sure to get the coppa sandwich when they have it, it is incredible.

Stopped in for an afternoon snack and was not disappointed. Their strawberry galette and chocolate chip cookie were both delicious and it’s a beautiful space to do some reading, work, or just enjoy the people watching. Can’t wait to come back!

This is my favorite Bakery in New Orleans. I began following them at the farmers markets and now at their brick and mortar. They have been amazing with their to-go orders right now.
Garlic knots are great and I always order extra cookies!

The carrot feta dill croissant was good, but I feel like it needed more feta to balance out the sweet of the carrots, and maybe some under the carrots where it would not dry out. I also got a citrus poppyseed scone which had a good balance of savory and sweet, but was either overworked or had the wrong flour. Scones should not be chewy at all, and this one was. 8 out of 10 for both.
Don't get me wrong, I love this place and everything else I have had was excellent, so I'm still giving 5 stars.

This is my favorite bakery New Orleans and Baton Rouge. I live in BR but whenever I find myself in New Orleans for work I make a special stop here. The pastries are out of this world!

Best bakery in New Orleans! I’ve tried so many items, and can’t pick a favorite, the croissant is so flaky, the focaccia is so good! And the staff are very nice and friendly

Before the pandemic (back when the owner was whipping things up next to Seasoned), through the pandemic, and to now, Levee is hands down my favorite bakery and place to grab a quick-bite. It's been great to see the safety precautions that they have put in place, continue to provide the amazing-quality baked goods that I love, and see a business supporting their staff and other local businesses. I couldn't recommend them enough - and highly recommend you buy their focaccia (although you can't go wrong with anything bought there).

I am obsessed with this place and have eaten far more baked goods than one body should as a result of this business simply existing. Everything is phenomenal. The rye brownie, carrot cake, and mustard, cheese, and caramelized onion croissant are among my favorites. I just wish they’d expand their hours.

It is bizarrely hard to get a really good chocolate chip cookie from a bakery in New Orleans, so it's not the highest praise when I say that Levee makes the best in the city. It's not just the cookies, though - Levee has the best pastries in the city. I came here a couple times pre-pandemic and it was great. Their current operation has the same high standards. Whatever you do, don't miss the morning bun.

Charming little bakery right off of Magazine Street. It had an array of crusty breads, pastries and desserts. Beautiful local art for sale on the walls. Plus the friendliest staff! We ordered a croissant and it came with a yummy blueberry compote and softened butter it was amazing! Flakey and buttery and simply delicious! Highly recommend trying this place.
Bill Wagner
Delicious baked goods with an excellent mix of both sweet and savory treats.

So I almost don’t want to review. Cause I’d prefer Levee to be a secret. But I also want them to thrive and do well. Limited hours. But…. Amazing staff. Amazingggg baked goods. I love croissants. But anything on the menu is just excellent.

Lovely little bakery, their sourdough focaccia was probably the best I’ve ever had and their biscuits very excellent also. The couple puff pastry items we got were also pretty good, but not on par with the others. Service was fast and friendly. Total for 2 pastries, a biscuit with butter and jam, a focaccia and a coffee came to $20 which I thought was a great price for the quality. Definitely recommended in the area.

Nice, aired high ceilinged interior and 2 person outside sidewalk tables where one can delight in eating delicious baked good and beverages located just off Magazine St. In the Irish Channel area

Nice to have an excellent bakery in Lower Garden District. Levee has a large assortment of freshly baked goods. Their vegan chocolate cookie is terrific. Coffee is very good too. The seating area is divided into two brick and wood spaces. The high ceilings make this a relaxing place for breakfast or a snack.
Lara
Amazing croissants and croissant-style cinnamon rolls!
I bet this place was absolutely amazing, all around, pre-covid. Their current covid policy is really unfortunate. Like many bakeries in the area, don't expect a place to sit and enjoy your coffee/breakfast anymore. There are 2 tiny bistro tables outside, if you can get one.
Ashley Arceneaux
Lovely staff and excellent baked goods! I mistakenly walked in a few minutes late after closing and the associate was kind enough to help me anyway :) I got a few items and they were all delicious.

Au naturalé coffeshop and bakery. Coffee was delicious, especially with the unprocessed "fixin's" (i.e. sugar in the raw, locally made honey, oat milk). The hibiscus lemonade was a wonderful surprise and I never would've thought it anything less than raspberry lemonade. This is a N.O. must try people!

I took my 2 year old daughter here the other day to grab pastries for breakfast. And we loved it!! We tried the croissants, tomato flatbread, chocolate babka, and peach tart. All were delicious and service was great! I'm really excited to have this place in my neighborhood.

Best baked goods in Nola and I'm french and picky hehe. They are also super nice and I love how positive and supportive they are of other Nola businesses. They are often busy but you can order online to skip the line <3

I'm not a big bread/pastry guy but this place is just incredible. The cinnamon roll is light and fluffy - like a cloud. The Kouign-amann is deliciously and caramel-y dense. The goat cheese and tomato tart was also really good. The cinnamon roll was so good the first time I had to come back within the week. I ended up sticking around for lunch and got the beet + goat cheese sandwich which was delicious - a perfect balance of tang (goat cheese) and sweetness (beat) on a fluffy focaccia. It was also sizeable as I'm usually not full after a vegetarian lunch. I find the prices here also really affordable only $2 for coffee (with free refills if you dine in), $4 for the cinnamon roll and $7 for the beet sandwich. Taxes are included in the price which is really nice and keeps the bill simple. I can't wait to return and will likely buy cakes from them in the future for social events.

Went here for the first time today. The space is absolutely charming. You can tell how much thought went into the layout, design, and vibe. Brunch was super tasty and they cold brew was good (and I’m picky). I will be back!

This bakery was recommended to me by a friend who grew up in Paris so I knew it had to be good! Best chocolate croissant I’ve ever had!
Hayes Weggeman
The bread and pastries are really good here. I have been twice now and plan on returning. The sourdough olive bread is great. One of my favorites.

My friends and I stopped in on a whim waiting for the Shard Shop to open and I must say..........THIS IS A GEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Prices are awesome! Oyster and Mushroom Faccacia bread is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! Very personable service. This is a must go to and try out!

(Translation) I have lived in New Orleans for 7 years and this is the most artisanal French bakery I have found since the sale of the Boulangerie! It's not perfect! One of my two baguettes was burnt underneath...but I prefer craftsman flaws to industrial "perfection"!
Cheer! Keep it up, it's very good!
(Original)
Bravo! Continuez, c'est très bon!
