Reviews of La Boulangerie

WOW. Am I in Paris?!
What an operation. Excellent croissants of all kinds. Perfect cappuccino. Fresh squeezed OJ right in front of you. Great efficient service. Makes me want to move here!
Will be back for lunch as these sandwiches look so good

I ordered the Croque Monsieur. The sandwich was very good. The bread was perfect. The ambiance was good. The service was good, though I thought getting that sandwich took a little long. But the air conditioning was fine and a pleasant place to kill time. The pastries looked wonderful. Appeared to be a great place to sit outside for coffee when the weather was not so warm.
Camila López
Exquisite baked goods, got to try their morning bread (forgot its exact name) and wow! Delicious! also tried my favorite drink: Cappuccino with oat milk and no sugar. Pretty tasty. Loved the aesthetic, the cashier was sooo nice and the prices were good :-) Would definitely go back 10/10

A local and tourist in the know favorite - you can’t go wrong here. For breakfast, baked goods and excellent coffee steal the show, although lunch deli sandwiches have never failed me before.
I highly recommend the patio on a nice day, as it may get loud inside with ver little sound dampening. We always grab food to go as well and have noticed fresh items travel well too. Excellent orange juice too!

This place is amazing I ordered a birthday cake and accidentally put the wrong date and they were no problems. They were eager to help and had me a cake out with no time while waiting 10 minutes for the cake we ordered a sandwich that was simply amazing the bread there is no words delicious Decided to take a picture after me and my husband almost devoured it but it is
amazing friend amazing people. The sandwich is called a Parisian make sure and have it warmed up.
Joseph Raczynski
On this day it was crazy busy and popular. Both sandwiches were simple, but excellent. The bacon on the BLT is smokey goodness, and the croissant with anything is heavenly.

I go very often to this place because I love it. The food and pastries are excellent. The service is very good. Please try the chocolate and almond croissants, they are just excellent. Their king cake ( chocolate chip) is also very good. For lunch, I always order the chicken herb salad with a mini-baguette. The bread is also good. They are pet friendly, have outdoor sitting, take credit cards and the bathrooms are clean.
Lena Korzhevska
Lemon Merengue tart was really delicious: not too sweet as it is used to be in the American french bakeries. Avocado tost tasted pretty good as well. We took an almond croissant as well (no photo, sorry). It was pretty flat, but that was due to the plenty of almond filling inside, so it is rather good. All in all, place is worth visiting.

I've eaten here over the years. I love it now since Donald Link took it over. The menu is amazing. There's a large variety of savory options as well as a plethora of pastries. Everything I've tried is incredibly delicious. The service is friendly and fast. My favorites are the Parisian (toasted), salmon bagel, almond croissant, and tarts. I always end up leaving with a bag full of baked goods. Justin L is always amazing. I love his service. He makes the experience so much better.
Tiger Steimle
Absolutely recommend! Love the lemon merengue tart, cream puffs, and chocolate tart. Hot chocolate was light which balanced well with the pastries. Enjoyable atmosphere, generally busy but small or no line.
Charles Conti
Food is great. Prices are reasonable portions are generous staff is very friendly. Lots of room on the patio for pets.
Andrea Acosta
I had to visit this iconic NOLA bakery and got a couple of things: an almond croissant, chocolate croissant, fruit Danish and strawberry filled king cake. Everything was delicious and the king cake was my very first one and now sets a very high standard for others to come.
Omid Fotuhi
Great service and lots of nice food options, especially their drinks.
They also had N impressive selection of deserts, though I don’t have a sweet tooth, but my colleagues seemed to enjoy them.
Candace
It was $30 for a sandwich and a glass of milk. (The upcharge for my VERY salty salmon was $10) Everything was OK. Service was good but when I wanted to cancel the salmon I would have had to pay for the whole order and then wait for a credit to be issued later. ??
Paul Bobo
Really enjoyed the breakfast Muffin and breakfast crossiant. Coffee was good too.
Line was long but moved really fast
Get some chocolate cake to go!
Sydney Stelly
Fresh food! Enjoyed a delicious tomato basil soup and apple arugula salad. Made me feel fresh in the new year!

When you first walk by, you think that this place is just another coffee shop, but it has so much more once you go inside. I initially was just going in for coffee, but when I left, I had a bag full of pastries, bread, meat pie and oh, my coffee. When you walk in, proceed straight ahead for online orders, but if you plan on eating in or getting a to go order, proceed to the left and along the glass case full of everything your mind and belly crave and want!! Wide selection of breads, pastries, sandwiches and coffee/teas. If you plan on eating in, you must show proof of vaccination. If you don't, just order and take it to go. There is seating available outside, but it fills up quick. It is very busy, but it's worth the experience if you have a bit of time to kill. It's always nice to be on Magazine Street to people watch while enjoying a good pastry and some coffee. The beef pie was delicious. Beef is perfectly seasoned and the pie crust was flaky, buttery and scrumptious!
Patrick Bowman Sr.
La Boulangerie is as reminiscent réal time replica of a French bakery whether we are speaking of the delicious buttery croissants or the sweet almond croissants this place has it in droves. (Croissants didn’t make the pictures sorry) Definitely, pricey -30.65 but worth the extra coin for the value and quality of the meal. The ambiance of sitting right on the street and gather the entire spirit of New Orleans on Magazine St from the shoppers to the shoppers you can watch it all from their outdoor seating area. The Peach Tea Arnold Palmer was delicious
Cleo D
Quality pastries and sandwiches! This bakery is definitely french inspired. The ambiance is immaculate. Definitely coming back here!
Catherine W
I love this place. It is so cute and chic. I enjoyed the food that I bought. It just reminds me of being in France. I enjoyed it a lot
Nayelly Barrios
Beautiful bakery! The customer service is fantastic. The food and coffee is delicious! Definitely gets packed on weekends. Weekday mornings aren't as packed, but still pretty full. One of my favorite bakeries in New Orleans!
Hugo Perez
This place reminded me of Paris, France I went in fall 2022. This atmosphere is a beautiful spot! Great croissants!
Aaron Ardillo
Always a good experience. Great pastries and breakfast! The avocado toast is my favorite. Great iced coffee as well.
Cathy K
Strombolis are a hidden secret here. Got lucky with the zucchini and goat cheese stromboli. Ask anyone who knows me - I hate zucchini but this was AMAZING. The bread tasted almost like a sourdough and tasted so good I had to savor it over 12 hours. Chocolate croissant was another hit. Very disappointed with the chocolate banana bread - extremely sweet and dry. Sad to say it almost reminded me of something you’d get at a random supermarket, didn’t seem on par with everything else. Overall good experience, efficient and friendly staff. There’s plenty of indoor seating and a backyard. Wi-Fi also available
Blake Wilbanks
It feels alive at breakfast with the energy of locals heading to work or catching a relaxing breakfast.
The croissants are the real deal. I had the breakfast sandwich, almond croissant, and chocolate croissant.
Diana Smith
This is the best bakery in New Orleans. It’s a mandatory stop whenever we are in New Orleans. The baguettes and croissants are amazing. Light, flaky and buttery. Staff is wonderful and the coffee is strong. Great place for breakfast and lunch.
Mai BC
I ordered a soup and a salad. The soup is super small and the salad is not seasoned properly.
The location is good though. But I don’t recommend the soup and the salad at least.
I have seen people are happy with their sandwiches.
AT a
I don't usually eat alot of bread but this is the one place I get tempted to eat all the bread and baked goods.
Almond croissant and baguette are awesome.
Sandwiches are delish and the kumquat and kale salad is awesome.
Tip - when you do seated service, they will bring the glasses of water and utensils for you when you sit down. We couldn't figure out whether we needed to the utensil and water station or not initially.
Chasity J.
La Boulangerie is a gorgeous french cake and bakery with beautiful scratch made dishes. The service was great, the prices are great, the location is clean and there is an array of beautiful pastries and breads.
I ordered a fruit tart, but it lacked an immense amount of sweetness. My friend ordered a croissant and was very pleased.
I will return and do recommend others visit as well.
Michael Lee
Service was very good. Place clean go early as they run out of pastries. The lemon meringue pie was above average but the croissant leaves much to be desired.
Dianne Wellems
Yum! There is a reason they routinely sell out of pastries. My favorite is the almond crossiant and any of their sandwiches to go. Coffee is fresh and never bitter. It is a bit if a splurge but worth it when you feel like spoiling yourself.
Spencer Hedges
It goes without saying that there are many good bakeries in New Orleans. But I think La Boulangerie in uptown near the zoo is the best. The croissants are just a bit more perfectly crusty and flakey than others I've sampled here. I prefer mine with just butter but if you've never had it before try the muscadine jelly as well.
Greg Cook
This place is amazing! One of my favorite spots to eat in New Orleans. The croque monsieur is amazing! The Le Fromager is also equally as amazing. In all the times I’ve visited, I’ve never been disappointed.
Evan Darling
La Boulangerie is a fantastic bakery with delicious sandwiches, great coffee and very attentive service. Don’t eat that sandwich at the airport, wait and get a memory making meal here.
I had the croque monsieur. Yes, the one in the pic is half eaten. But, you’ll have a hard time photographing a fresh one when you’re famished, I promise. Same for the chocolate almond croissant. That’s how good this place is...
Cherry John
We go here often made a trip today 2/2/23 . The workers are always friendly and helpful. The foods , drinks and atmosphere are second to none. It is like being in France without being in France❤️
Candace Elenez
Great escape to this adorable French bistro! Great options for breakfast or lunch. They had a great options for bread, pastries and ice cream too! I enjoyed a smoked salmon bagel with a side salad and it was divine. It was such a great atmosphere with a blend of people working, reading or enjoying each other's company. Highly recommend for small or large groups looking for a great meal.
Charles Wentzel
Very popular, and known for their croissants. The sandwiches and breakfast dishes are also good. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Krys B
Thoroughly lovely lunch! Pleasant staff, good food, and a creative cocktail (hot Chai cider with bourbon).
Mia Pacey
Great local bakery, serving fresh bread and pastries. The breakfast muffin is just what you need. The service is fast and friendly never waited very long for anything including latte of hot breakfast muffin.
Would recommend their cinnamon bun and almond croissant.
Creighton Miller
Really good coffee as well as excellent pastries and baked goods. The croissants are amazingly flaky.
Regina Reyes
This place is quaint, the food is beautiful and the service is amazing. I had the small vanilla cheesecake. I definitely recommend
Annie Lehrer
This is, hands down, the best bakery I have been to in this town. EVERYTHING I tried was spectacular and I'm not exaggerating. This is truly a gem. We went every morning.
Andrew Yawn
Amazing bakery. The Parisien is one of the best sandwiches in the city and a French staple. The chocolate croissants are perfection.
Beth Platek
Great local pastry and sandwich shop. Excellent selection of breads as well as sweet and savory pastries. Everything we've tried has been delicious.
Anthony Oster
Nice little spot on Magazine Street, perfect for sandwiches of a cup of cafe au lait and a sweet. The yule log was simply decadent and we brought home a second slice to have later in the week along with a sour dough. This is definitely my new go to coffee and dessert spot when I'm in the city and worth the drive in from Baton Rouge.
Robert Bowman
Absolutely delightful 😊. I always order the smoke salmon on everything bagel and extra capers. …
Camille Ingram
Want a classic French ham and cheese sandwich, but can't travel to France to fulfill that need? Just take a trip to La Boulangerie. I go here when I'm looking to treat myself to a great pastry. They have a variety of French staples as well as new flavors and styles. Whether you're dining in or picking up a few items for a picnic at Audubon Park, La Boulangerie is a perfect go-to for high-end French staples.
Matthew Maruca
Delicious baked goods in a lovely location. Service was good - team approach works well. My croissant had a soggy bottom, but it still tasted good, so I’ll give them a thumbs up even if Mary Berry might protest.
James Finn
Best pastries I've tasted in a long time. Also, cannot beat the atmosphere and employees. Super friendly staff.
R V
Great sándwiches very few choices on pastries...they close at 4 so I guess I need to get here much earlier...
Heleen Raes
So so good! I came here for breakfast and had a latte, a fruit danish and a mini baguette. Their baguettes are voted "best in town" and they really deserve it, they're delicious and follow the French recipe. As a European in the US it's always a blessing to find an authentic French baguette. The service is friendly as well but you should be prepared to wait a bit if you want to dine in.
Bennett Joseph
A wonderful place to have a meal while exploring the delightful magazine street. Friendly and efficient staff. A great space with indoors and a back garden. I had a Croque Monsieur which was perfection.
Chelsea Merta
Great selection of French pastries & other breakfast items. We ordered a peach almond danish, seasonal pop tart, and iced café au lait, and everything was superb. Highly recommended if you’re in the Garden District!
Anna Jowaisas
the food is WONDERFUL, rich, & delicious ! worth every penny
Joana Antunes
Amazing French style bakery in the uptown area. They won prizes for best baguette and croissant. I really enjoyed their pastries and amazing croissants. I truly recommend this place if you enjoy French style bakeries. It's yummy!
Sudesna Chakravarty
Nice ambience, awesome bakery and coffee. It’s one of my favorite French bakery in the Magazine street, NOLA.
Jes M
I love this place! Everything is always fresh and delicious. Weirdly loud fan but if it bothers you you can sit outside.
EAT THE LEMON TART
Ayush Sharma
Cheddar and chives biscuit is delicious. Freshly whipped butter absolutely scrumptious. They have a bunch of different breakfast croissants whole lotta flavors and fillings. Also some greats teas.
bob eutsler
Remember on holidays that you normally cannot eat there you can only pick up because they do such a great job of catering
Courtney Potter
Delicious food and coffee. Definitely worth a visit
John Keilman
An unexpected pleasant surprise as we walked through the neighborhood. The food was great, so was the atmosphere and service.
Highly recommended.
Sara Lovel
The cutest and most delicious little bakery. There are plenty of pastries, sandwiches, and drinks to choose from, all of which are tasty. I got the avocado toast, and it did not disappoint.
Alexandra Acevedo
I ordered online for Mother’s Day. Everything tasted delicious! Staff member who help me was so kind. I probably be back the next time we visit NOLA.
Mister
Cute place, friendly staff, good food, need more lettuce on the Cobb salad. Good but not enough for what you pay for. Very good soup and dessert 🍮 …
Leticia Cuellar
My favorite French bakery makes the best croissants in town. Ordered the avocado toast for breakfast last time.
It was delicious!
Paul Holmes
Chic, French Bakery on Magazine street. Great for a nice coffee and pastry. I got the almond croissant. A delicious choice! Also sells sandwiches but their sweets are really what they're known for. Bon appetit!
Bill Cheatham
Good pastries and breads, really good coffee. Large variety of offerings with counter service in a large cafeteria type setting.
Mike Chicago
Stopped in for an almond croissant. Boy, do they have delicious looking pastries and breads and a bunch of other tasty looking carbs.
Don't go here if you're on a diet.
I got my almond croissant and a chocolate chip cookie. Both are HUGE!!! (and pricy).
It was about $6.00 for the two.
The croissant was moist, flakey and covered in almonds and powdered sugar. I could taste the butter in each bite, with a thin bit of almond paste running through the interior of it. I intended to eat 1/2 of it and save the rest for Babycakes, but Just confess, I ate 3/4 and saved a couple of bites.
The chocolate chip cookie was soft, chewy, and had a tasty dark chocolate center. It wasn't chips as much as it was a river of chocolate in the middle. Absolutely delicious.
Worth the money and the calories!!
Norman Shephard
Very nice other than people in line more socializing vs figuring out what they want before getting up to the order takers/ registers.
Banan Ibrahim
I like their chocolate chip cookies but sometimes they’re not that fresh. At their best, they are similar to NY cookies (Levain).
Hayley Sackos
My word. What AMAZING food. Seriously well made pastries. We loved it and will definitely return!
Alison Browning
Yum! Yum! Yum! Ordered le vegetarian, le dindon, grilled cheese, cheesecake, & churro. So so delicious! Great atmosphere and staff as well.
Tst Mkr
One of the best and freshest bakeries in all of New Orleans. Tucked deep in to Magazine is really one of the best spots in Uptown. Great service, everything fresh, and lots of good sights, smells, and tastes. Would recommend brining people from out of town here on their visit to New Orleans. Outside seating for those with dogs.
Deborah Henry
Frequented by my son and his wife on their visits to this NOLA neighborhood. Wonderful staff and food is beyond great. I would gain weight if I lived anywhere nearby. Lol
larry burbridge
Very nice pastry, sandwiches and salads. Busy place. Easy to get to on Magazine bus 11.
Smith Point
Best breakfast bakery in town. Order you coffee drinks extra hot though.
Pantelis Panayiotou
The service was great. They were fast, kind and friendly. The variety of things can make you visit then every day. The taste though is way better. A must visit place. I recommend it.
Elisa Cottrell
This is my second stop in town after I get to NOLA (the first is giving my daughter a hug). Amazing croissants that taste just like the ones in France. 😍❤️🤩 …
Mauricio Villegas
Great freshly squeezed orange juice. My cortado too heavy on milk could not really taste the coffee. Look and feel of the place is great, clean and great location.
Deborah Bachrach
I did a double take at this place; meaning I ate here twice in a 6 day cuisine venture through NOLA. This place had perfectly made croissants, bread pudding, and cookies. I sampled about 10 items in 2 Days here and they were so perfect I couldn’t believe I wasn’t in France. I’ve travelled through Europe and haven’t found a bakery with bread and pastries that compare to what I found here. The service is fast despite the line to order. The wait is part of the experience, it helps you prep your pallet for the rich yet delicate flavor(s) and texture(s) your mouth is gonna thank you for.
The prices are fair and the dining area is bright and airy.
This is a must eat and repeat!!!
Chaunty 83
Great pastries and bread and cakes and tartes, and croissants and everything really. Oh and coffee, the coffee's fantabulous too! I only wish I could eat here everyday, but if I did I'd need a whole new closet to accommodate my ever-growing behind.. LOL!
My faves are the salted caramel eclairs, and the chocolate eclairs, they are to die for. Like I would literally rather die than live without them, that's how good they are. Just head over there already, you won't regret it.
Epiphany Kidwell
Obviously the selection and pastries are famous for a reason, awesome espresso, and strong aperol spritz; but what’ll bring me back is the incredible service.
Everyone I spoke too was so lovely and welcoming. Come in from the rain and greeted with big smiles. Only name I caught was Janelle. The girl with girly hair on cashier, the dude making coffees who looks like the love child of Kurt Cobain and Dave Grohl, and the quiet black dude with glasses were all working hard - serving badass food and impeccable vibes.
Nikhil Jadhav
What an incredible place with reliable pastries and great service. Best spot for breakfast on Magazine.
Zoe Fleming
I miss this bakery so much because we moved to another state. It is astonishingly wonderful. The quality of the food is outstanding.
Bear Family
Quality food and good coffee, very overpriced. Pretentious people sitting around being cliche and looking for acknowledgement. Not worth a second visit.
Adriana Corr
Delicious light and medium breakfast options in a relaxed atmosphere. Nice staff and great selection of bread. I had the quiche and it was delicious!
Joseph Connor
Overwhelming selection of simply magnificent treats. Efficient and friendly counter staff, and bloody Mary's to go.
Travis Shelton
Incredible food! Bread is great! French cafe at it's finest! Try the sourdough bread early while hot!
Ruhid Gillani
Echoing all these reviews, great pastries and really really good cold brew. Personal fave pastry is the chocolate croissant. The place is always busy and buzzing, but service is very efficient
Jasmine Ballard
It is truly a treat to visit. I've been a fan for two years now, but today is the first day I have went in person. The crossiants are out of this world and every recommended by every French person I have met. The pastries are simply scrumdiddlyumptious. The coffee selection is devine. I got chocolate crossiant bread pudding this trip. I picked up a sandwich for a friend too and the selections I saw coming out to customers looked quite tastey! Can't wait to come back with a friend for a full tour of the treats they have to offer.
Mike O'Neill
Your cravings for french pastries begins and ends here. Go for croissants, baguettes or whatever pastry you feel you need but do yourself one favor. Buy a lemon curd kouign amman. You're welcome for your new favorite addiction. I promise you that. Also: good cappuccinos, cafe atmosphere, blue cheese round bread.
Cara Wu
dined in saturday morning. very busy. first come first serve tables. was kind of hectic so they forgot some of our orders. overall food was great but a little pricey. the space is very pretty and it smells lovely.
EDIT: yes, we got our orders after flagging down a waitress. they forgot my friend's drink and we received it after we finished our food. he said it was very good but it was not the right size (smaller than he ordered).
i got a ham and cheese croissant, walnut and cinnamon churro, florentine quiche, and crawdaddy bread (breakfast for our early morning flight). all were delicious.
Christian Wallace
Few sights are more beautiful than the fully-stocked glass case of baked goods at La Boulangerie.
Macherique Williams
Key lime pie is my favorite dessert and La Boulangerie did not disappoint!
Kate R
One of my favorite places in New Orleans. Don’t mind the line, it’s a sign of the food that is WELL worth the wait and comes out pretty quickly after ordering. It doesn’t matter if you’re getting bread, pastries, sandwiches, or ice cream - everything here is divine.
David Cuppett
The best french breakfast in Nola.
Tampa Dave.
Frederick Blake
Great place every time I go to garage across I’m at bakery love it
Emily Ezell
Nice little lunch spot. Divine almond croissants. A little hectic and sweaty during peak summer hours.
Star Dust
Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! I was roaming around the area and got hungry. Saw this place, I stopped for a cup of mocha coffee with oatmilk, then I saw all these sweets calling my name. So, I ordered the double chocolate cake. Warning.. double chocolate cake. It really is double. Then I also ordered the fruit croissant Danish and the bread chocolate pudding. Oh gosh! I was speechless. The bread pudding is my favorite. The chicken salad sandwich was okay. Will not be ordering it again, but the coffee and sweets are yummy.
Emiliano Pandelo
Almond croissant is great. Nice place.
They call churros to something thats not :P

Magnificent! Even though they were busy, they took the time to answer my every question without rushing me. KIND service, fast to deliver your order and the selections from pastries to truly French inspired sandwiches, their coffee, the desserts, every bit of this darling French bakery was perfect! Very clean and while there is seating, parking can be a bit of a challenge. You just need to be patient and you will find a spot fairly quickly. I absolutely loved being there!
Chor Wah Lee
Very good Napoleon but expensive. They have the best drinking water, doesn't taste like N.O. tap water.
Sybil Fisher Jamison
Absolutely love this place. Seasonal gumbo was delicious. Love the arugula salad. You can’t make a bad food choice at this place.
Cory Koch
Just returned from a summer in France and it feels like I never left! Authentic French Bakery! Tres Bien !
Doaner05
Coffee was good, Avocado Toast was great andthe ladies helping us were all pleasant and smiling. Great experience, thank you!
Linda Williams
Not to be missed on your trip to NOLA. And if you are wondering what to eat here... Everything is great! I am a big croissant fan. These are wonderful ❤ The breakfast sandwich with the fresh sausage is amazing. The people are so friendly and helpful. And even if you are there for breakfast, you have to have a warm chocolate chip cookie or two. Yummy!
Mark Barry
Best French bakery ever, great atmosphere, morning bun & breakfast sandwich were each over-the-top delicious, we'll be back every day!
Ilse Cardoza
Everything we had was incredible including the coffee!
Tim Sutton
Amazing bakery with friendly staff! I was in New Orleans for a week and I had breakfast or lunch there every day.
Stephane I
As a Parisian I give this place 6 stars ⭐️
The food is delicious, the place lovely and the service perfect!
Tim McM
My wife and I have been here several times in the past, they have fantastic breads, pastries, muffins and breakfast type sandwiches, beer, tea, sodas...they are always busy when we are in town and get the chance to swing by for a delicious treat! I was disappointed this time because I saw this pretzel wrapped ham and cheese thing in the case that had my name on it, well there was only one left and by the time we got to order the lady next to me ordered it😒 oh well, still had a great visit, they need a better method of controlling the line when they are super busy, people come in and don't know where the line to order is, they will get in the l I ne of people waiting to pick up orders. Still a very nice place to check out for sa breakfast snack and pick up some fresh bread.
Sidrah Khan
Such a great, authentic French bakery! A bit slow on the service, but certainly worth the wait!!!
Lisa Dobson
Ideal stop for lunch, brunch, or treat. Our turkey avocado sandwich is worth returning for. The chocolate croissant was among the best I have ever had! Ok maybe the best. Buttery, flaky, tasty, and would return for. Lots of people in and out for bread and treats, Worth the stop.
Aaron
The food is great. The croissants are awesome. Prices increased some time ago. Not sure I’m willing to pay that much for some things but to each their own. I’d prefer to give 3.5 if I could—as I don’t think it warrants 4 stars but certainly not 3. Had a pretentious cashier. Spoke to me like I was an idiot when I just needed a little clarification. I’ll be back. But hopefully not with that person working.
Tratra C
Amazing cafe in NOLA! Good service, good pastry and good coffee.
Lizzie Borden
Great sandwiches and pastries. Very friendly staff and quick service even when the place is busy.
Nicole Frosch
We have been coming here once or twice every summer for the past 5-6 years. The quality and the selection of pastries has gone down. The coffee was terrible, it was bitter and weak, not at all like last year strong and delicious not bitter and winey at all.
They were very unaccommodating when we requested a different type of bread for the grilled cheese.
I'm so sad because this was one of my favorite stops with family every summer.
marit-karen glaser
If you like fresh baked bread like in Europe, you are at the right place. Little pricey, but for where it is located, to be expected.
Suzanne Neumann
So good! Everything we had was wonderful! Avocado toast, carrot cake, iced vanilla latte and decaf! Such nice people and great atmosphere.
Jayne Kucharski
Well what to say! Best bakery we’ve ever been to in our lives. The only place on our trip we went twice. The cinnamon roll is hands down the best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had. Both times I ordered the salmon bagel it was fresh and large! The le vegetarian sandwich was amazing. So fresh and flavorful. Homemade pesto. The coffee was great. The apple turnover was so delicious. The texture was on point. They definitely know they are doing. Cool staff that were on top of it even when it was so busy. Open atmosphere. All around 10/10. I wish we had one in Charleston.
Euangelion
This! The place is usually packed. The line often extends out of the door during the pandemic, but the wait is worth it! Just the display of the pastries, sandwiches and baked goods is worth going for! The coffee is as good a cup as you’ll get in the city, and no city has better coffee than New Orleans. Whenever I’m in New Orleans, which is frequently, this is a required stop. Do yourself a favor and get a coffee and an almond croissant and sit outside on the sidewalk along Magazine or along the side street if you want more quiet and enjoy a moment of bliss. The only complaint I have is that I wish they had more porcelain coffee cups. I so much prefer them to the paper to-go coffee cups.
One more thing, if you’re trying to social distance or haven’t been vaccinated for COVID then this is likely not the place for you. I’m sure the place has low traffic hours but every time I’ve been there it’s been packed. You can try to keep distance but it’s a losing cause.
david gamble
My wife and I went this morning. I got a small drip coffee and a churro pastry, and she got a peach danish and a cold brew coffee. The total came to a little over 15 USD. We agreed on the assessment of value regarding both of our meals. The pastry is worth a return, and the coffee was not. I would say that I was considering returning the coffee because I almost didn't even want to drink it. (That is in comparison to other local coffee shops. If you like SBux stuff, you should be fine.) For what we got, I would say it was an 7 or 8 out of 10, but if we had just got the pastry, then I would bump that to probably a 9.
For those considering, go. Get a pastry. Then stop by a coffee shop and fulfill your coffee needs there.
Bruce Ashley
Stopped in for strong ice teas and terrific key lime pie.
Timothy Joyce
A really great Boulangerie! Loved everything I ever had there. It does get busy at times. I like to relax and have a pastry and a coffee but finding a quiet table can be hard. Guess that speaks well of this establishment. Now that Sucre is gone I'll probably make this place my first stop in NOLA. Not as upscale as Sucre, but they aren't trying to be. If you're looking for really, really great breads, pastries and savory treats this place is definitely worth a visit!
Lauren G
A great variety of pastries, the only issue was one of the people in our party can't have dairy because of an allergy and none of the pastries/ baked goods were dairy free. Very tasty almond and chocolate croissants. The lemon meringue miniature pie was very good, it had a very present lemon taste.
Ian
The smell of this place immediately upon entry will make you realize you've made the right choice. Perfect location. Great service. I got their breakfast sandwich, its incredible. Mayo on a breakfast sandwich??? I didn't realize it's what I always needed. I coupled the sandwich with a cold brew. The coffee was nice and smooth. Please try this place. Awesome selection and great people.
emma o
Came on a Saturday and coffees were great. Came on a Sunday and the lattes were completely burnt and way too hot. Barista didn’t know what we meant when we said the espresso was burnt. Croissants were excellent though
Andre Mauboussin
Went there with my wife and two sons. We had ham and cheese croissants, almond, chocolate and almond/chocolate croissants as well as a cinnamon roll and two strawberry crepes. The food was exceptionally good and the staff we're friendly and attentive. Bravo! What a delightful place
Brian Medus
What I had was very good. Lots of foot traffic. Parking is an issue.
Di Fawn
They have the best chocolate chip cookies! The sandwiches are yummy too!
Cheryl Daves
Everything was amazing! I had a croissant with chocolate drizzle and sliced almonds, a ham and cheese croissant, and a pop tart! They were so good!! We ordered a chocolate eclair that wasn't so great . Tasted like refrigerator. But everything else was great!
MAMA NOLA
Excellent pastries and bread, really delicious. The prices have definitely gone up since I used to live in the neighborhood (I got gentrified out; they raised their prices...sigh...) but it is not bad compared to other places on Magazine. One thing was, they seemed to want to rush me out. I just wanted to sit and have a coffee and pastry and enjoy reading the paper, but they kept asking if I was done, if they could take my plate, when there was still pastry on it. The place was nowhere near full, but they just seemed to want to push me out; I did not feel welcome to just sit and relax the way I used to when I lived in the neighborhood.
Will Broadus
This place is top notch. It's always super busy but the staff is super hard working and always gets the orders out in a reasonable amount of time. the food is incredible. I've eaten here a dozen times and I have always been well served by the friendly staff.
William Brown
This effing place was the bomb! Silly but I had the best grilled cheese in the history of grilled cheeses. Potato salad with dill relish was awesome but later was really kicking in my mask!
Leslie Molson
I always want to like this place, but the coffee, food,, and pastries are nothing special, really. The atmosphere is always hectic, when it really doesn't have to be. And the staff need to learn some manners.
One of the cashiers kept calling me "hon" for some unknown reason. I accidentally put my credit card in the wrong way, and instead of just pointing it out, she grabbed it before I could stop her.
I was about to say, "let me use Google Pay instead" but she waved me off. I didn't want her touching my card, for crying out loud, and she should have asked me first.
Also, the last time I ordered a sandwich, I was told they don't have Dijon mustard. How does a French cafe not have Dijon mustard??
Felicia
Great pastries and nice atmosphere.
Selina Iqbal
probably my favorite bakery in new orleans. delightful chocolate croissants. their bread pudding was insane. never had anything like it!
esthela fitzgerald
Limited selection due to Covid I guess but nonetheless I managed to spend $70 on pastries to take home. They look amazing and the staff was quite helpful.
darrin ruddy
Excellent breakfast sandwich with buttery flakey croissant. Farm sausage has distinct flavor in good contrast to other ingredients. Cinnamon roll plenty cream cheese frosting, very sweet with good base of brown sugar mixed throughout. The almond croissant was filled with paste, but could have used a bit more.
Ambience is quaint writer cafe vibe with great people watching windows of Magazine street.
Peach tea unsweetened has a great home of peach, but alas no refills. Bit pricey.
Overall wonderful eatery bakery. Staff friendly, helpful & explain menu items well with patience.
Melissa Bennett Simeon
Love this place! Always lively, always delicious! This past weekend I had the grilled cheese and potato salad. My husband had the croque monsieur. They were both made to perfection!
E S
Best croissants I’ve had in the US since Paris! These are very close to the real thing. Nice and flaky. Buttery deliciousness. Get one. The cheese straw, ham and cheese croissant, and ham and cheese pretzel are also super good. Cant go wrong with their pastries. Cortado is great, similar to A French cafe au lait. Go here now. Give them your money (it won’t be cheap). You will thank me.
Marina Foerster
Nice & spacious place. Clean. Friendly staff. Quick service.
Freshly baked bread.
Avocado-egg sandwich (I ordered) was delicious! The full size salad that I ordered was pretty small in size ( about the size of a side salad).
antonio aransaenz
This is my favorite bakery in the entire United States. I am French and the baked good this place offers are some of the best I have ever had. The quality in the ingredients and grains is bar none. We always make it it a point to stop by on roadtrips from Texas to Florida so we can stock up on bread. 10/10. Keep doing what you do!
num1lsufan
French bread & pastries in lovely dine in air conditioned spacious space in 4600 block Magazine St. A nice French pastry, soup, sandwich, and salad restaurant in New Orleans. The staff is fast, efficient, and friendly and the prices are commensurate with the quality of the cuisine. Great atmosphere and lots of room inside and out. It gets busy but it moves fast.
Makayla Steiner
The food is great! Great quality and selection.
I especially like their Citron Pressé drink, its super clean and refreshing. I can't find it anywhere else.
The staff is usually friendly and knowledgeable about their menu.
My only complaint are the prices for certain things, like their sandwiches for example; They're delicious which is why i get them, but at $9+ they're a rare treat for me.
Maayan Israel
Food and coffee are delicious! Insane pastries. The staff aren't very nice or helpful for the most part, but I guess that makes it feel more French! Definitely doesn't feel like I'm in New Orleans. I like that their king cake babies are pigs, that's so cute!
Michelle Todd
I had the Croque Monsieur. It was delicious, but a little too much butter (it was extremely oily). The sandwich was also quite small for the price. I paid $18 for a small coffee and sandwich with no sides, so it's a bit pricey for what you get.
Hiram Young
This is a genuine bakery. They also have good food, but the baked goods are the star of the show, and they impress consistently. The rustic sourdough loaves will always have a place in my pantry.
Paul Vaughan
Excellent almond croissant. Fresh
Customer service was spot on too. The guy with the rainbow t-shirt and the lass with the denim shorts were amazing. Will return!
thetardis42
The almond croissant was fantastic. My party had the chocolate cake which they also said was good. Seating was plentiful, the staff was friendly and attentive. A very good experience. The espresso was a bit bitter tho.
Kevin Majors
I'm trying to think of anything negative. They were busy (early Sunday afternoon) but kept customers moving. The servers were excellent, moving quickly but with a smile and warmth. The food was simply perfect, and the cold brew I had when we went back was the only way to cap the trip. We're already planning a trip back in a couple of weeks.
Gabriella Hidalgo
I am in love with this place. It was an amazing place with great food. The staff was AMAZING. They were so kind and attentive. I will definitely be back here.
G Papai
I’ve been coming here since 2004, always been good, but this time (December 28th) The chocolate croissant had little to no chocolate. Also the guy bringing food out was VERY RUDE, a young guy with glasses and a yellow beanie, he gave attitude for no reason and let my toasted food get cold before giving it to me and gave me more attitude, management should have a word with him, he really takes away from this good place.
Chris Cole (weaponzero)
Loved everything! The almond croissant was amazing. Arugula salad had a great dressing, Smoked Salmon Sandwich on olive bread was delicious, and the latte was a generous pour and very good too. A little pricey but still easily 5 stars!
Heather Simnitt
The food here was delectable. The atmosphere was perfect. Good lighting, nice tables, etc. The display is gorgeous. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars would simply be service. It was not terrible, but I could definitely sense an attitude of "I'd rather be somewhere else," from the two people who waited on us.
Bethany Slater
My husband was looking for a good French baguette the whole weekend we were in New Orleans. He kept complaining "they call this French bread!" When we got to La Boulangerie we got so much more than just good French bread: amazing croissants, amazing almond croissants, amazing Napoleans. And a bunch of amazing other things we did not have enough room to taste on this visit. I guess we'll just have to drive 6 hours in order to eat here another time.
Claire Milazzo
The coffee is excellent. The food is even better! The salami sandwich and kale salad is to die for! The bread is heavenly! I love the quaint space on magazine st! Excellent service! Yummmy! If you are in the area, stop by for a treat!
Heather Siegerdt
Wonderful selection, prompt friendly service despite the business. We forgot a bag. We came back 20min later. They recognized me immediately and I didn’t even have to ask- they had saved our bag of breakfast croissants, kept them warm, and ran to retrieve them as soon as I returned.
Brandon Woodie
Still a great place to go for pastries. Not quite as good as when the French owned it but good. Prices are getting a bit outrageous on some items. A small king cake is $30 I nearly gauged my eyes out when I saw that. I wish they would bring the old quiche back it was perfect.
Lucy U
The Croque Monsieur is to die for and The Fromager is so delicious, it's disrespectful.
Jordan Wolfe
Beautiful atmosphere, smells and looks amazing. Parking is very hard to find. I had to park on a side street and walk a ways. Some things are ridiculously over priced. The Quiche is good. Can't remember the others names. If you don't mind to wait a while and walk a ways its good. Ill try it again and sample a few more of the expensive items. $5 for an eclair is just outrageous. But we'll see.
Wendy Wells
Oh WOW!! The almond croissants are simply magnificent! I've been dreaming of them since my visit! Will definitely go back again!
Andrea Williams
It's a MUST visit when we are in town from Alabama. The service is amazing and the pastries are unforgettable! I brought my sister from Nashville to experience the aroma of all you have to offer. Needless to say she took several items back on plane and the aroma filled the air.
Thomas Krajewski
A nice bakery and cafe The prices are reasonable but certainly not inexpensive. The coffee is pretty good, I had a croissant while I was there and was very pleased with the quality. The venue is nice, it is bustling but has ample seating and the service was friendly and adequate.
Jonathan Perret
Truly one of the nicest breakfast bakery spots on the city. Everything they make is good from the pastries to the savory plates. Always love the food here and the workers are always great.
Ana Pajakovska
❤️

It's fun to go back to this place. When it first opened, it was about a third of the current width. There was a glass case and a stove behind and that was all. And if you came late in the morning they were usually out of baguettes. Still the best baguettes in town and a very fun menu. Had the Moroccan lamb sandwich today (whether that's lamb from Morocco or from Iowa, served in the style of a Moroccan, I can't say. But it was terrific)
John Sherer
Everything was great, worth 5 stars, but their POS payment system (Toast Tab?), has no way of retrieving a receipt online, and their call center says I have to call the restaurant to get it... thought I had entered my phone number for the receipt, but in this case a printed receipt would be better, especially if I am expensing meals.
Gisela Garcia
So, so good. Great and friendly staff. Best latte I have ever had.
Yin Y.
Very expensive sandwich and coffee. Was tasty, but not worth it.
DIann James
Customer service and food were excellent! I had the Sausage Breakfast on Croissant with a coffee. Absolutely the best experience on a Sunday afternoon.
Gregory Tsilov
Yummy ;) French sandwiches, quiches, soups, pastry. Nice and cozy atmosphere.
Alanna Frick
La Boulangerie is probably one of my favorite coffee shops in the city. Definitely my current favorite for coffee and lunch. Their cafe au lait is absolutely delicious! They have one of the best turkey sandwiches I've ever eaten and I've literally never had a bad dessert here. The atmosphere is wonderful and the baristas are friendly and quick. Make sure to grab one of their delicious baguettes before you leave!
Jaime Hernandez
Visited as a guest in the La Boulangerie restaurant for lunch just today. We were entertaining friends from California, and enjoyed our City side table. We chose to stay indoors - to enjoy the air conditioning 😊. I just want to say that, in addition to a nice meal, we had a delightful waitress, Ashley. She had just the right balance of friendliness and efficiency. She recognized that we wanted time to visit and did not rush us. She and other staff members made certain that we had everything we needed. Kudos!
Joni Hitomi
Love everything about this place. Le parisien is full of delicious comte cheese and they make their own baguettes which are probably the best in town. Ham is fatty and delicious. Huge cups of coffee and beautiful pastries. It's hard not to over indulge at this spot
Sophia Thomas
Great customer service; Cindy was a delight! The food is absolutely amazing. My family and I ordered the lemon tart and baguette one day, and it was so good we were back the following day to order the same things and a sandwich!
electro wasabi
Breads and croissants are quite good.
Edit: they "open" at 7am yet they have almost nothing available at that time. No fresh bread, barely any cakes (no whole cakes). Just a waste of an early morning...
simon lehrer
Handmade bread and pastries impeccably made sweet and savory best bagel I have had in years maybe ever!
Travis Gould
Given the French name, this place definitely lives up to it. The smells were great here. Though I only ordered a double espresso, what I saw, which were many options of different breads and pastries, looked tasty and well made.
Oscar DeNessuno
La Boulangerie is one of the places I miss the most since moving away from New Orleans. It's perfect for a quick treat early weekday morning before work or even for a longer hangout with friends on the weekends. They serve an assortment of delicious pasteries (both savoury and sweet), cakes, cookies, tarts and breads. My favorite treat here is their chocolate almond croissant paired with a cup of black coffee.
Y and A Haber
Another coffee house we go to almost every single day! That's a lot of coffees... well, their latte is fine. But their baguette... is the *best* in the city. Their service is quite varied, sometimes fast and kind, sometimes slow and bored. But four stars for its location and quality of baked goods. Sometimes the lines get too long... but it's ok. There are two cash registers.
Barre Rousset
Stopped by on the way to Audubon Park. Alway seems to have a crowd whenever I pass and I can see why. Great pastries and coffee. Seems reasonably priced and the staff is very attentive. Would definitely return to try new things.
Charley Wallach
Fantastic coffee and bakery with great french-american breakfast dishes and lunch sandwiches.
David Conroy
Top notch!
- the coffee has tons of flavor
-ham and cheese croissant is buttery and delicious
- chocolate croissant is sweet and splendid
- the service is GREAT!
Millicent Chaney
The weekend special was Challuh bread French toast. It was really good!
DJ Oetken
I've always loved this place. It's been run by new owners for a while now and I miss some of the old recipes but I really like a lot of the new! Everyone is super friendly here and even when it's crowded it's still comfy. I bring all of my out if town visitors here at least once.. twice if they're good guest.
A Paris
We come here every time we're in New Orleans. EXCELLENT!
Dale Hanan
Best baguette in Nola! Every time I grab a coffee from La Bou I always get a mini baguette, crispy on the outside, super fresh and tasty on the inside! But I always try some other pastry as well and they are dope AF. Chocolate almond croissant is delicious and goes well with a cappuccino!
Samantha Thomas Richardson
This place is AMAZING y’all!!!
I never finish my plate and couldn’t put it down!!
This is my new favorite place to eat and we travel all across America for my husbands job and this place is by far one of the best places I’ve ever ate at! It’s all about that home cooked southern food y’all!
Y’all gotta try it!!! 😍♥️
Susie Brubaker
Amazing bakery with the friendliest staff.
Mitri Chaiban
Very good bakery. Clean nice atmosphere. Hard to park.
Serene Tay
I was in New Orleans for a few days and dropped by here on the way to the zoo, particularly since the French Quarter is sorely lacking good croissants (?!) Both the chocolate croissant and cinnamon walnut pastry were fantastic. Amazing service too.
Joshua Davis
Stopped by this bakery on the way out of town to grab some baguettes to take home. Grabbed a croissant and a blue cheese loaf as a road snack. I wish I would have bought a bag of the croissants. They were so crispy and flaky on the outside with a deliciously soft buttery chewy bread center. The blue cheese loaf was like a big hersheys kiss of golden brown sourdough concealing a fist sized ball of blue cheese that steamed while baking leaving the bread soft and flavorful with a nice sour kick. This place is a must stop next time im in town.
Ken Kruse
Always have to get the almond croissants for my wife. I had the cheese and chive biscuit(?) And then got a pretzel ham & cheese to go. I'll b getting 2 of them next time!
Paul Robertson
One of the best bakeries / patisseries I've ever been to. Prices for bread are amazing. Coffee drinks are passable but not great, but they're still a nice accompaniment to the delicious foods.
Rene Poyraz
No vegan pastries and i was not greeted when i walked in the door. I stood there for a while and took a picture still wasnt greeted, it finally happened. I think that a simple good morning or hello goes a long way in business. They were very helpful with my selections being that im vegan they helped, well pick out breads. Staff was pretty nice with a lot of options to pick from just not vegan options. I will go again and maybe rate higher with at least 1 vegan pastry and a greeting when i walk in the door.
Phil McWilliams
A quaint place for a great start to your day. Good coffee, exceptional pastries, breakfast croissants, and nice morning atmosphere. The line moves quickly and the pricing is moderate. Taste is fabulous.
Laura Talley
This place has counter service and lite dining room service. The coffee is good and the pastry is absolutely amazing. The croissant pastry is to die for. Service is fast and attentive.
Stan Strembicki
This is one of the nicer french bakeries in NOLA and they offer a really full range of pastry, breads and other goodies. They even have these great ham and cheese sandwiches made on their own baguettes. The service for more exotic coffee drinks may be a little slow but it all seems to work out. During carnival season they even have French King Cakes! My favorites are the croissants especially the chocolate ones. Its a little on the pricy side but everything is a step up from anything else you'd find in the city.
Terry Johnston
The breakfast sandwich was average at best. My mom said her pastries were really good, so maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.
Jamie P
This place is comfortable and the workers are friendly. I had the hot cocoa with the delectable almond crescent and a pumpkin muffin. Id love to go back and try more from their menu.
Yoni Padan
There is not a single time that I am in NOLA and I don't go to La Boulangerie for breakfast. The pastries are amazing, the OJ is freshly squeezed, love it
Andrew Dodenhoff
They had in adequate signage. I ordered an item, a meat filled pastry. It came with a salad for over $8.00.
All the other pastries were less than $5.50.
Then the clerk couldn could not figure out how to make change..
Jeremy Thomassie
Excellent selection of breads, viennoiserie, and pastry.
Shalean Collins
Amazing croissants, coffee, Parisian sandwiches, and pastries 🥐 a New Orleans must-see! …
Gerardo Garza
Nothing special about this place. Croissants were hard and seemed like they were from yesterday even though I had them early in the morning. Sandwiches are skimpy on the meat. Muffins are small but taste good.
Abel Rehali
Nice, spacious place. Friendly staff, none French speaking though.
They were out of the items I went there for, took a chicken sandwiche in stead, turned out to be very tasty.
Coffee-late needs some improvement.
Rae Trainer
The pastry selection here is truly mouthwatering -- they have everything from croissants to eclairs. I recommend especially their croissants, scones, cinnamon rolls, and the Koulain-Amann (Danishes soaked in powdered sugar overnight and then filled with cream cheese and seasonal filling.) They said that they had Euro-style drinking chocolate -- I have yet to investigate this claim, but if they did, they would deserve SIX stars! Amazing place!
Joel Nolasco
This place was great the baked goods were delicious. I had the chocolates almond croissant and it was delicious. I sat there and worked on emails the staff kept refiling my water and was very helpful.
Terri Rogers
Went there for breakfast oh soooo good!
Leah K
This place is super underrated. There’s a ton of seating, it’s in a great location, and the food is unreal. Would love to come back here!
Brian F. Nastali
I've been coming to La Boulangerie for years. It's a great place to grab baked goods and lunch, although, definitely on the pricy side (compared to more notable establishments around the states).
Patrick DuChêne
Le végétarien is fantastic. Their coffee is okay, but the ambiance, food, and staff make up for it! Would love to return.
John E Jaan
Don’t have photos ..ate to fast! Freaking delish ! All the pastries , and croissants we got were super scrum ! They got the assignment right ! A++++++
garyjazztrumpet
Best bakery AND best prices in New Orleans! How often do you see that? Great service also. Have been going there for two years now. I've been to France a few times. This bakery would not be out of place there.
Unique Lee
Great pastries (best scones in NOLA), decent coffee. The seating is too tight for the kind of furniture they have which makes for an uncomfortable experience as people climb over/bump into you in order to get to their table .
Wendy Hartline
My first time coming to la Boulangerie.
Wow.
The pastries, cakes, desserts look delicious.
I bought a galette Rois for a party.
It comes with a ceramic (baby) favor.
I did grab a breakfast bun to munch on.
Amazing
Susan Orlandi
My friend and I ordered 5 items and tasted them all.....extremely delicious. Can't go wrong. Can't wait to go back!
Benji Borrelli
Absolutely the best pastries I've had in the city. Ham and cheese croissant was out of this world. They have a variety of items. Ham and cheese pretzels seemed cool, chocolate croissants, spelt and zucchini muffin seemed interesting too!
Hila Fogel-Yaari
The pastries and sandwiches are excellent. During carnival season they also the French King Cake (which isn't so sweet) and pretzel buns King Cake (served with mustard). The one thing to avoid is their cafe au lait, which is actually bad.
YB Husain
Love, love, love. Excellent pastries and quite the selection. Best chocolate croissant I’ve ever had. I don’t love the coffee though. But still, I absolutely recommend!
Berçin Uluz
That place is one of my favorite spot to get fresh bread. They have the best foccacia for really reasonable price. But I don’t like the spend time in there because their fan and AC! It smells too much, Gives me terrible headache!
Sam Lee
Espresso machine was down today but that's okay, the croissants and quiches are amazing with black coffee too!
bluecho872
Went there to pick up some dessert while exploring Magazine St. We decided on the hummingbird cake and a chocolate croissant bread pudding. The bread pudding was heavenly but the hunmingbird cake was old and terribly dried out. Very disappointed in the hummingbird cake; it was like a brick. If we were rating on the bread pudding alone, it would be 5 stars but someone obviously missed the mark with making sure the other was fewsh enough to serve. It would have been so much better if someone noticed the cake was hard and dry as they boxed it to go, and just mentioned that we needed to pick something else out. Quality speaks volumes and the hummingbird cake fell silent today.
Avis S. Domingue
When I tell you dessert were so fresh, so tasty: brought home fresh whole strawberry onto of custard pie, a dark chocolate pie, 2 other scrumptious, actually difficult choices.
Also had grilled cheeses sandwich and chicken gumbo, ate all of that!
Dasha Johnson
Originally planned on 5 star rating, but unfortunately after trying all of the items we got, disappointed.
Croissants are great, ham and cheese or chocolate croissants amazing. Chiabata bread was really good too! Prices are great, as a pastry chef myself I do think that it's even underpriced!!!
with orange cranberry scone, it was horrible too much backing powder you can taste how salty it was, also it was last of that kind on disay and we asked the girl if it was fresh, she said yes it was baked today, that was a lie, that scone was at least 3 days old, wish we got something else instead. That a big minus to the stuff, cant trust them words. As well as capuchino was one of the wors I ever had, I even asked them to fix it but still end up pouring it out, need to have better barista in there.
Rene Szyller
I have gone there in the past, and as previously, the food is good. The staff was very pleasant. However, much to my horror, one of the staff, female with long blonde hair,
moved both hands thru her hair four times, then twisted it into a ponytail. It was in the evening, and then she restocked the food.
No handwashing, nor gloves. I did not say anything to the lady. I did apologize to the young man, that the reason I asked him to serve me was because the young lady handled the food after tossing her hair, without cleaning her hands.
Alan Rada
I think everyone that spends any time in New Orleans needs to eat here. They have the best Croissants around. their Ham & Cheese Croissant is to die for. All around amazing baked goods.
A Hoog
Excellent staff, no matter how busy it is, they are very friendly and work hard
Rene Boudreaux
First time there and everything we had was fantastic. The line seemed long, but it moved really quickly. Had breakfast, but also bought something for dinner to takeaway.
john williams
The sandwiches were good, but did not allow any changes. The pastries looked good and the salmon quiche is delicious.
Gary Chin
Friendly staff. Croissant, Morning Bun, cheddar & chive biscuit, and eclair were excellent. Almond croissant is different from others I've had, but is delicious.
Kay Sig
Such a cute place.. great desserts!
Melvin Biri
Excellent place for a breakfast. Have had trouble with iced coffee served instead of the cold brew that was ordered, but the food is wonderful.
Lee Sucherman
Very good coffee and delicious pastries. Will try for lunch on the future. Comfy indoor seating.
Timothy Ballisty
New larger space. Very roomy which is sometimes hard to come by in NOLA. My boys devoured their cinnamon rolls. Breakfast sandwich could be a bit larger for the price. On the flip side, a large coffee comes in a very big mug.
Ryan Haney
Delicious grilled cheese and carrot-ginger soup, followed up by a hazelnut pastry for a delightful afternoon snack! Cute and casual, with friendly service, and pleasant atmosphere.
Marcia Hirsch
My favorite local bakery with hands down the best croissants in town. They also make a decent French baguette. The brioche and quiche are also excellent.
Michael Berry
Beautiful little French bakery. Enjoyed almond croissant and chocolate almond croissant with iced coffees. They have fresh baked breads and other treats. Highly recommend.
Johnna West
Really good! Enjoyed a nice sandwich and salad!
Jake Hawkesworth
Loved the Black Forest cake. The king cake looked fantastic but we didn't try it. Real Parisian style seating and just beautiful pastries - worth going just to stare
Steve Gin
The bakery goods are amazing. The sandwiches are also really delicious. The cooked breakfast dishes are a bit over salty, so stick to the baked goods.
John
Really nice Cafe with really nice, coffee, pastries, breads, and desserts. They serve sandwiches, but I only had some bread and croissant to go. I definitely will come back to try other items.
Sty Robinson
The site and smell when you walk threw the door is amazing. Breads and sweets of all kinds. The worst thing is trying to pick just a couple of items because you want it all. There is something for everyone. I chose my few items and intend on returning another day.
Joey Krabacher
La Boulangerie - add this to your vocabulary and your itinerary! You won't regret it. My favorites are the almond croissant and the bread pudding.
Masoud Asadi
This place is by far the best french Cafe I've gone, coffee taste great. Make sure to try one of their complete collection of french bakery and confectionery products, I've had their Napeloneians and It was legit.
Lana Keenan
Wonderful food, atmosphere & even better coffee made by a talented barista named Adam! Prices were very reasonable & parking was plentiful. Would recommend this place to anyone.
Dawn Jabour
They DO ACCEPT CreditCards now~ Super customer service, the woman who put together my order was very informative and helpful. Bakery smelled delicious! Peach and apple turnovers are delightful!
Phil Wingo
Outstanding baked good and sweets
Tabby
One of my favorite bakery in NOLA. All of the things I have tried there have never disappointed me! I love their breakfast croissant and tiramisu!
Michael Smith
Excellent food! I loved the breakfast sandwich and the morning bun! This is a nice place to people watch too. It's a little pricey, but worth it.
Elizabeth Hoffman
Tasty veggie sandwich and of course a cafe au lait for lunch on Magazine Street.
ambar Gutierrez
The staff is super friendly and the food really good
Desmarie Johnson
My fav morning coffee spot, friendly effecient staff. Croissants are the best I have had, so many beautiful breads and pastries. Well worth going a little out of my way
Allon Guralnek
The avocado toast doesn't have a lot of avocado, and the red velvet cake isn't very velvety or moist, it's too dry. The chicken soup Danish was tasty and unique!
Nyla Conquers
My iced coffee and bagel were lovely, but, please properly show customers where the bathroom is. There was no sign and there was construction IN the building. If I am on Magazine St., I expect Magazine St. customer service.
Candice Ray
All things croissant were delicious but apple turnover was outstanding. Also brought home a loaf of Sourdough that was great.
Melanie M
Food and breads are great but the customer service needs improvement. They were not accommodating to my order, which I've placed multiple times. They were neither understanding nor polite. I don't think I'll be coming back.
Sudha Sahai
This is a Parisian boulangerie in uptown NOLA! The croissants, baguettes and the epibaguette last about 30 seconds in our home. They are devoured as soon as I walk in! The special croissants are good too, my grandson's favorite is the chocolate croissant.
Diane Eugene
Uptown area french style coffee shop/deli, one block off St. Charles Ave. French pastrres, fresh salads, soups and sandwiches... Great assortment of breads. Bring your computer and surf the internet while enjoying a healthy breakfast or lunch. Outside seating is an option. "Bon Appetite"
M Sims
Great sandwiches some of the desserts are shockingly bad, and I don’t get how they let it happen.
William Crockett
